If yes, then the chances are that you must have been told to write a motivation letter for home loan. Let us know what exactly a motivation letter is and why is it needed...
When applying for a home loan, you will be asked for a brief cover letter to convince the bank that you are creditworthy and you can afford the loan. Writing a motivation letter for home loan can help you make a strong statement on your behalf and can make your application stand out from the rest. The motivation letter should be formal, but at the same time it should be persuasive enough to work in your favor. A brief, to the point motivation letter ensures that your case is evaluated quickly and the bank trusts you with lending its money.

How to Write a Motivation Letter for Home Loan

As this letter will play an important role in determining whether you get the loan or not, allot considerable amount of time to write it. To make a strong case, address the letter to a personal banker or a loan officer who is in-charge of the home loans department. Make sure that you know the name of the officer and spell it correctly. Just below his name, write the title, i.e, the capacity in which he is working in the bank. Explain your strengths and emphasize how important this home loan is for you. Do mention some of the weaknesses you might have and your plan of action to overcome these. Make a small introduction to yourself, like your employment, personal history including any other loans that you might have. Remember that the letter is to be written in a formal style and should not contain slang and any other abbreviations. It should have a cordial greeting and a formal exit. The letter should be written in a simple language and the use of jargon should be avoided.

This was a motivation letter format, let us now take a look at an example of motivation letter for home loan.

Go for it

What would really get you going today? Yet when you look deeply enough, the connection is most certainly there. For if you could not dream, what would be the point of tending to the practical things? And if you did not tend to those practical concerns, how could you ever hope to attain your dreams?

Stop fretting about how the things you must do are interfering with the things you want to do. Instead, discover and appreciate and strengthen the connection between the two. Make your dreams a part of your reality. And make your reality a part of your dreams. There is no reason why your dreams must oppose your reality. Improve your dreams and your reality by bringing them together. Put the power of passion into the day-to-day, sensible and practical things, and put the power of reality into your dreams. You’ll find it to be a winning combination indeed.

Read more: http://greatday.com/motivate/030715.html#ixzz1HswlOgEX

What you will do

Forget about what you can’t do. Instead of being sick and tired and upset about the way things are, be positively passionate about the way you would like things to be. You will naturally attract into your experience those things you focus on most passionately. The problem is, you move in the direction of what you passionately despise just as surely as you move toward what you passionately desire.

So make a conscious decision to let go of the focus on what you despise, and replace it with focus on what you truly desire. Be careful, though, because along the way, you could be inspired by others.

You have to keep focusing on staying de-motivated. It’s not as easy as you might think!

#10 – Don’t work at something you enjoy. If you love what you do, you just might find yourself motivated to do it. Do something you hate and you’re bound to stay de-motivated.

#9 – Don’t get enough sleep.
When you sleep, your body refreshes. You may risk moments of motivation if this happens. So stay up late watching mindless television, stay out late with your friends, and get hammered. It’s a great way to stay de-motivated.

#8 – Be negative about everything.
Wake up and say things like …
“I hate my job and the people I work with.”
“People suck.”
“Nobody will buy from me today.”
“My boss is a jerk.”

Keep telling yourself how bad everything else is. Oh, and don’t forget to share your misery with as many people as you can. If you do this, you’ll be sure to stay de-motivated.

#7 – Work all the time.
Don’t ever make any time for fun. If all you ever do is work, you’ll soon come to resent your work. Never make time for anything else, especially things that might lift your spirits and give you a needed break. All work and no play is a sure-fire way to stay de-motivated.

#6 – Eat terrible food and avoid exercise so you don’t have much energy.
If you have energy, you might feel like doing something. You can’t have that! A diet full of junk food combined with no exercise is the recipe for staying de-motivated.

#5 – Tell yourself how much of a failure you are.
Use affirmations such as “I’m a loser.” Get out your permanent marker and write a huge “L” on your forehead. Always remind yourself how bad you are, of the goals you haven’t reached, of anything you’re unhappy with about yourself. Fill your mind with negative thoughts about yourself so you can have a positively de-motivating day!

#4 – Hang out with people who complain all the time.
We’ll warn you … positive people can rub off on you. So spend your time with people who aren’t going anywhere and are full of excuses why they’re staying put. They’ll help you stay de-motivated.

#3 – Stay away from success stories.
Reading or hearing these may just make you think you can do it, too. Don’t look to successful people for a model on how to succeed. Just dismiss their success as luck and be jealous. That will keep you de-motivated.

#2 – Don’t ever do anything to change your circumstances.
You don’t have any control over them anyway, so why try? Sure, you could spend your time trying to make a better life for yourself, but you might just succeed at it and then get motivated. You can’t have that – accept that there are no opportunities for you. You’re just living out your fate. That will keep you de-motivated.

#1 – Listen to the news.
It’s sure to keep your spirits low. Bad news is good news when it comes to keeping yourself de-motivated.

7 Ways To Wake Up Motivated

If you have trouble waking up in the morning with motivation, you are not alone. From the research that I do and the number of people I speak with, this is a very common occurrence. I myself dealt with this issue which lingered on for years. I would go to bed guaranteeing to myself that I would wake up with all the motivation in the world, ready to tackle anything in front of me, only to have all of it completely forgotten in the morning. It’s quite frustrating, to say the least! There are simple things that you can do that will help ensure that you wake up with the proper level of motivation to get you to have a productive, successful day. Here is my personal list of things that do just that:

Get out of bed immediately
Arguably, the worst thing you can do to your motivation in the morning is to stay lying in your comfortable bed. You will try to debate with yourself, whether you should get up or stay a little longer. Guess which side usually wins? How do you get yourself out of bed immediately? My trick was to put my annoying alarm clock in another room. I had no choice but to get up and look for it to turn it off. So I was immediately out of bed. I hear now they make alarms that bounce around so that you have to get up to catch it…I think that’s pretty clever too! Getting out of bed asap is the #1 priority if you want to wake up motivated. It’s the foundation, without that, everything else fails.

Drink a large glass of water
Once you are out of bed, you should drink water as soon as possible. You body becomes quite dehydrated during sleep, and this lack of water in your system causes you to feel fatigue when you wake up. Drink some water, and guaranteed you will feel better and immediately more lucid and motivated. I always keep a full glass of water in my room before bedtime, so once I am done running around to shut my alarm off, my glass of water is ready for me ;)

Stretching
I remember many years ago, I had a personal trainer that told me that if you stretch for 5-10 min. every morning, guaranteed you will have a much better day. For some reason, this always stuck with me, and I truly believe that it does wonder for motivation in the morning. When I say stretching, I don’t mean the quick stretch you do when you get out of bed. I mean, do full stretches of your arms, legs, neck, everything. Stretching increases circulation of the blood to various parts of your body, which is very important in the morning, since your system was inert for many hours. This increase in circulation increases energy levels, and energy is crucial to motivation. This 5-10 minutes of stretching in the morning can really make a difference as to what type of day you will have.

Glance at your goals
As I mentioned above, one of my biggest problems in the morning was the fact that I had forgotten all the motivation and all the things I was pumped up to do with my day once I got up. It was as if I had a case of amnesia and that within the span of sleep, everything that I was so excited about had disappeared. My way to resolving this issue was to keep a list of my goals next to my bed. I have my goals for the day, as well as my long term goals. This helps remind me what I have to get done and why it’s important to get it done. A visualization board can also be very useful. This is where you create a montage of all the things you want in your life on some type of board that you keep around your home. Looking at this right away in the morning is a wonderful method to get the right amount of motivation that you need to jumpstart your day.

Psyche yourself up
Many years ago I worked in sales and within two months I had become the #1 salesperson in the company. Although I was a newbie, I was more motivated than anyone and it paid off big time. One of my tricks was that I had the ability to psyche myself up so much as I was getting ready in the morning, that by the time I had arrived for work, I was on fire. I couldn’t be stopped. Instead of saying to yourself how it would be better if you could just go back to bed or that you just don’t feel like doing anything, learn the habit of having constructive self talk. Build yourself up. If you need a boost, use self help tapes. Those are always great to listen to and the morning is ideal to get that motivation going. You can put it on as you get ready, even listen to it as you stretch for example.

Music
Listening to your favorite music in the morning can help put you in a good mood, which will then increase your energy and your motivation. I know I find it very boring in the morning if it’s all quiet. Feeling bored makes you want to go back to sleep! Music helps tremendously in creating an atmosphere that is more fun and more upbeat, which is required to get that motivation in the morning. You can set your alarm to play your favorite song, there are programs that easily do so available on the web, and the easiest way is probably to use your cellphone to play your favorite tune as your alarm ring tone. If you want some fun songs that can really help motivate you in the morning, check out this article I wrote recently: 10 Cool & Unique Songs To Wake Up To

Remember that one Desire
What is that one thing that you want in your life? What is it that you absolutely desire? Waking up with that one thought in your mind can provide you with the motivation to move mountains! We all have that one “want” that is the driving force behind everything that we do. Having this in your mind first thing in the morning can make the difference between a lackluster day and a day where you completed everything that you set out to do. This desire should never leave you. It should be with you at all times, and particularly as you get out of bed. This desire should be so grand and so spectacular that it overrides every negative or non-productive thought that may cross your mind in the morning. Think about your one desire and make it the first thought that pops into your head as you open your eyes in the morning, and watch your motivation skyrocket ;)

First Step to Financial Success

Personal financial planning consists of three general activities:

* Controlling your day-to-day finances to enable you to do the things that bring you satisfaction and enjoyment.
* Choosing and following a course toward long-term financial goals such as buying a house, sending your kids to college, or retiring comfortably.
* Building a financial safety net to prevent financial disasters caused by catastrophic illnesses or other personal tragedies.

This article addresses how to achieve the first of these goals: controlling your day-to-day financial affairs. See "More of This Article Series" in the box to the top right for Step Two: "Setting Financial Goals," and Step Three: "Building a Financial Safety Net."

Why Should I Budget?

Controlling your financial affairs requires a budget. For many people, the word "budget" has a negative connotation. Instead of thinking of a budget as financial handcuffs, think of it as a means to achieve financial success.

Whether you make thousands of dollars a year or hundreds of thousands of dollars a year, a budget is the first and most important step you can take towards putting your money to work for you instead of being controlled by it and forever falling short of your financial goals.

To those of you who think you know where your money goes without keeping detailed records, I issue this challenge: keep track of every cent you spend for one month. I promise you'll be surprised and perhaps shocked by how much some of your "small" expenditures add up to.

For an eye-opening illustration, try the American Express Saving or Spending Big Calculator. Enter the cost and frequency of a habit or indulgence and how many years you expect it to continue. Click a button and see not only how much you'll spend over the specified time period, but how much that same amount would grow to if you invested it at various rates of return. Mind-boggling!

Budgeting and tracking your expenses gives you a strong sense of where your money goes and can help you reach your financial goals, whether they are saving for a down payment on a house, starting a college fund for your kids, buying a new car, planning for retirement, paying off the credit cards, or saving for that trip to Aruba.

Since financial matters are one of the leading causes of marital discord and divorce, getting a handle on your spending, implementing a budget, and saving for the future can also have positive effects on your relationship with your spouse or partner.

Should I Use a Software Program?

You don't need to invest in fancy software in order to do a budget, but a good software program WILL make the job easier, and being able to print out graphs and reports from your PC can serve as a motivation for entering all that data.

Many banks are now offering free PC banking and free personal finance software. You simply dial into the bank's computer (or your bank may use web-based banking), and download the checks that have cleared your account, directly into your personal finance software. Then you indicate an expense category for each check.

You can do a basic comparison of budget versus actual expenses by category, or you can enter more detailed information such as investments, assets, liabilities, etc., and print personal financial statements showing your net income and net worth.

Some of the most popular personal finance software programs for checkbook and expense tracking are: Quicken, MS Money, and MoneyDance.

Whether you use sophisticated personal finance software or a couple of pieces of paper and a pencil, the important thing is that you get on the road to financial freedom by starting a budget today.

Greatest Motivation for LIFE: 5 tips for keeping up the holiday spirit while working

Greatest Motivation for LIFE: 5 tips for keeping up the holiday spirit while working: "5 tips for keeping up the holiday spirit while working"

5 tips for keeping up the holiday spirit while working

Don't let the Grinch steal your holiday spirit this year! There are those that have to work through the holiday season who find it impossible to keep their spirits high. There are simple things you can do to keep your holiday spirits soaring, so let us look at a few of them.

♦ Christmas Tree

The Christmas tree is one of the most recognized symbols of the holiday season. Placing a Christmas tree in the office is a good way to bring co-workers together. Set aside a day where each co-worker brings in their own ornament to place on the tree. These ornaments can represent all religions and ethnic backgrounds. Using the term "holiday tree" will make all feel welcome to participate.

♦ Christmas Music

Christmas music has a way of softening the hardest of hearts. Playing music in the office promotes productivity, but during the holiday season, it allows employees to reflect on the holiday season and the people they love most. If your co-workers do not like to hear Burl Ives played at high volumes - get yourself some earphones.

♦ Present Exchange

A present that you give to an employee at work may be the only present they receive during the holiday season. You could potentially bring someone out of the holiday dumps by giving them the feeling that someone cares about them.

♦ Christmas Photo Challenge

Have employees within the office bring their childhood pictures into work. Write their names on the back of their photo and place them on a bulletin board identifying them by number only. Make up a test in which employees have to guess who the kids are. Obviously, there will have to be an employee who cannot compete so that there can be an impartial judge. You have enough holiday spirit, so volunteer yourself as judge.

♦ Employee Santa

The holidays aren't complete without Kris Kringle. There are many options to choose from, and when you start looking at your mortgage or refinancing choices, you will find a wide difference between rates and terms available.
Finding the best rate for your mortgage can be done very simply on the Internet. By looking at various financial institutions, such as investment firms, mortgage companies, credit unions and banks, you will be able to compare all the rates and terms that are currently on the market.

Tips to find a better mortgage

Use these tips when you are looking for a mortgage with a better rate. You will be surprised to find quite a difference between offers.

1. Use the Internet

This is the fastest way to search for a better mortgage. In the convenience of your own home you will be able to surf the net for the best deals. Look for the best adjustable rate mortgages for 15 and 30 years. The average for the national rates can change daily and most financial institutions record these changes on their websites every day.

You will find some mortgage companies that operate only by phone or online. You will also be able to find sites that have comparison charts that show the different rates from lending companies so that you can do a side-by-side comparison very quickly.

2. Go to your regular bank

The bank that you are dealing with may reward you with a better rate for being one of their loyal customers for many years. If you have a good relationship with your bank and have deposited a substantial amount of money into your accounts, they may be more flexible about giving you a discounted rate.

Let the bank know that you have been shopping around and that you have found competitive rates online. It is possible that your bank may offer to beat or at least match the interest rates you have been quoted, depending on what type of relationship you have with them and how interested they are in adding your loan to their portfolio.

3. Gather up some quotes

Once you have seen some mortgage deals you can request an estimate from mortgage providers. Only ask for a quote from a maximum of three different lenders, however, because too many quotes can affect your personal credit score.

4. Use the phone book

Start making some local calls to banks and credit unions in your area. It is possible that smaller credit unions and banking institutions don't have websites that appear on the front pages in the search engines. Talk to a mortgage lender that has the time available to answer your questions.

If you feel rushed at all during the phone call, ask when a good time would be to call back because you deserve the time and attention. After all, this is thousands of dollars you are talking about.

5. Take a close look at credit unions

Since credit unions run as nonprofit organizations they quite often offer competitive rates that are definitely worth looking at. They may also charge lower processing fees than a bank would.

Also, be wary of the interest rates that are being advertised on the Internet. You will need to ask for a quote to make sure that you are getting the right rate. Your credit history, income, and assets all to be looked at before an actual rate is given to you for a mortgage.

The best thing you can do these days is look around for the best deal available on mortgage rates. It used to be that people would just walk into their existing bank to get a mortgage, but with competitive rates and special deals being offered, it is worth your time to look elsewhere. Use the tips mentioned above to help you find a better mortgage.

With the tips mentioned above, you can find out the best home loans available today. Try it now.

5 Tips To Making Better Financial Decisions

Making decisions are not always easy, making financial decisions have their own unique challenges. Sometimes we make certain money decisions and regret it almost immediately whereas other times we do not realize the consequences of our decision until many years later. One can never make the right decisions 100% of the time, however we can put in place certain guidelines to help us in the decision making process.

1. No Emotional Decisions
The worst time to make any decision is when you are happy or sad. No financial decisions should be made when in a heightened emotional state, whether good or bad. When in an emotional state your judgment will be clouded and you will not be able to understand the long-term consequences of your decisions. Try avoiding any decisions when in this state, they should always be made when your mind is clear.

2. Sleep On It
If it is a major financial decision you need to make, it should never be made in a rush. At least take 24 hours to think about the decision before finalizing, sometimes this may mean you miss out on an opportunity but in the long run you it will be in your benefit. The 24-hour rule will come very handy when in a high-pressured sales environment such as car dealership or investment firm.

3. Plan and Stick to It
When it comes to your finances a long-term goal and a financial plan is a must. You need to have a goal of where you want to be and when faced with a financial decision you need to asses if it fits your long-term plans. Does buying the brand new car really fall within your plan and does it help you reach your long-run goals?

4. Can’t Control It All
Contrary to popular believe, unfortunately we cannot control everything in our lives. A bad storm caused some damages to your home or the stock market had a bad few years…you cannot control these situations. All you can do is prepare for these unexpected situations (for example, emergency fund) and respond to them. Worrying about things that are out of your control will not benefit you in any way. In fact, it will only cause more stress and therefore lead to bad decisions; spend your energy and efforts on things you can control.

5. Review
As stated earlier, there is no way to make a bulletproof decisions so no matter how hard you try you will make mistakes. Take some time to review some of your recent bad financial decisions and try to find out why you settled on the choice you did. Did you rush into it? Did you overlook certain signs? Was it an emotional decision? Reviewing can help you become aware of certain habits and factors that affect your financial decisions.

The purpose here is to change your habits and become more aware of your choices. Often we make decisions, financial or otherwise, without knowing why we did it. In order to make better financial choices you need to be aware of your decision making process.

5 Practical Tips On How You Can Make Better Finance Choices

With the way our economy is behaving today, it is but proper that we devise ways on how we can make better finance choices that we have to follow religious in order that we may live with peace and contentment. So plan again and don't forget that list when you go shopping.
5. Finally, remember that your personal finances are nothing but just that-personal. Although, everyone loves to give and hear advices, remember that what works for the others might not work for you. Consider the fact that your finances can be the extension of who you really are: unique and completely different from the others.

And for all it's worth, you have nothing but yourself to do the decision-making; where you are going and what you are going to do. Looking back 20 years ago today, I can't just believe how easy it is to get access to credit. Even mobile telecommunication services are offering advance on air time which you can pay later. Completely unbelievable!!

With interest lending rates on the downtrend, banking institutions on the other hand are busy 'hawking' credit loan facilities and cash advance to willing customers. Better still, they are at hand to offer debt consolidation. (This entails taking out one loan to pay off many others. This is often done to secure a lower interest rate, secure a fixed interest rate or for the convenience of servicing only one loan.)

The big question however is.

Do people have bargaining options when it comes to taking a loan? First of all, Interest only is NOT a good idea. If your credit scores are that good, look to other loan types. Beware of those "lower" rates. Always go with a reputable lender. It's not so much a matter of bargaining, but more of comparison shopping. You can comparison shop for loans the same way that you would for anything else. Let this quote "when the deal is too good, think twice" be your guide in doing a comparison for interest rates
There are various categories of finance that are accessible to a customer depending on the need.

* Home loan
* Personal loan
* Auto loans
* Student loans
* Emergency loans

With the unsecured loans being the way to go it today from the previous secured loans, its better to prepare for it beforehand.

Tips to better loans

Loans are often borrowed to meet the unforeseen expenses. Here are some light on factors to be kept in mind while going personal loan way.

1. Do I really need it?
2. Can I manage without a personal loan?
3. Is it for a frivolous expense- like a holiday- that I could really avoid?
4. Is it possible that I could secure the money by other means- like borrowing from a relative, taking up a part time job, sale of an asset? If you can avoid it, then don't take the monkey on your back!
5. Work out the total price tag of your loan before committing. It's a mistake to only care about the interest rate.
6. Keep your credit-line as small as possible.
7. Don't put your home at risk by getting a home equity credit line to pay off your credit-card debts.
8. Shop for rates when the market is calm. It’s one of the foundations of Zen Buddhism, of course, (actually all Buddhism, I believe), but it’s not necessarily meditation, per se — it’s more being aware of your actions and thoughts, and what your senses bring in, in your every day routine. >

No one actually lives in the moment all the time — I don’t think it’s possible. Some, with practice, can learn to live in the moment for longer than most of us, but there will always be times when you’re worried about the future or thinking about the past, and forget to be in the moment.

It’s actually pretty hard, if you give it a try. Test it out right now: close your eyes (after reading these instructions first), and concentrate on your breathing — the sensation of the air as it enters your nose or mouth and fills your lungs, and as it goes out again. If other thoughts come up, be aware of them, acknowledge them, let them go (but don’t try to force them away) and then return your focus to your breathing.

It’s hard, isn’t it? Being in the moment isn’t as easy as it sounds.

It takes practice. But it can be achieved at times. To help inspire you to live in the moment, here are 5 great examples:

1. Children. There’s no one better at being present than a child. I love to watch my three-year-old son, Seth, as he plays. He’s not thinking about what happened to him yesterday, or what he’s going to do later today. He’s Spiderman, and he’s fighting the bad guys, and nothing else in the world exists. If he gets mad about something, he overreacts, and nothing else in the world matters but what has upset him. But he’ll cry about it, and then soon return to normal, happy again, the offending situation forgotten without a grudge. He has no cares about tomorrow, and for that, I love to watch him. We need to use children as inspiration, and try to be like them sometimes. Jesus instructed us, “Be as a child,” and those were wise words.
2. Cats. I also like watching my cat, Riddle. He thinks he’s a lion. He’ll stealthily stalk an insect or lizard, as if he’s hidden in tall grass on the savanna, and then he pounces and attacks. You know he’s not thinking about what he had for breakfast or what furniture needs to be clawed to shreds later in the day. Cats (and other animals) are all about the Now. Be like a cat.
3. My wife and dessert. My wife Eva really knows how to eat dessert. Actually, of all the people I know, she may be the best at being in the moment, completely. She can really enjoy something, with all of her being. I’ve learned how to eat dessert by watching her — while I tend to gobble something quickly, Eva closes her eyes, and slowly puts a spoon of ice cream in her mouth. She savors the flavor, the texture, the coolness, the sweetness, the chocolateness of it. Eva enjoys things more than most human beings, and she inspires me. The next time you eat something, try not to think about anything else, not to read, not to talk to someone — just experience the food.
4. Zen sweeper. It’s been said that the only two jobs of a Zen monk are sitting zazen (meditation) and sweeping. Cleaning is one of the daily rituals of a Zen monk, one of their most important daily practices. They sweep or rake, and they try to do nothing else. They aren’t thinking about being in a Zen state — the Zen state is the sweeping. The next time you’re doing housework (or anything, really), try concentrating on the housework, on the dust, on the motion, on the sensation. See this interesting article for more on this.
5. Yourself, lost in something. You’ve been in the moment plenty of times. Can you remember a time when you lost yourself in a task? Not lost in thought, but lost in the doing of the task itself — you were concentrating fully, you thought of nothing else. The world disappeared. It might have been work — you might have achieved that state of mind known as “flow” — or it could have been a hobby, playing sports, yardwork, fixing something, anything. Try to remember a time like that, and replicate it.

Get Off Your Butt: 16 Ways to Get Motivated When You’re in a Slump

Even the most motivated of us — you, me, Tony Robbins — can feel unmotivated at times. In fact, sometimes we get into such a slump that even thinking about making positive changes seems too difficult.

But it’s not hopeless: with some small steps, baby ones in fact, you can get started down the road to positive change.

Yes, I know, it seems impossible at times. You don’t feel like doing anything. I’ve been there, and in fact I still feel that way from time to time. You’re not alone. But I’ve learned a few ways to break out of a slump, and we’ll take a look at those today. >

This post was inspired by reader Roy C. Carlson, who asked:

“I was wondering if you could do a piece on why it can be hard for someone to change direction and start taking control of their life. I have to say I’m in this boat and advice on getting out of my slump would be great.”

Roy is just one of many with a slump like that. Again, I feel that way sometimes myself, and in fact sometimes I struggle to motivate myself to exercise — and I’ll use that as an example of how to break out of the slump.

When I fall out of exercise, due to illness or injury or disruption from things going on in my life, it’s hard to get started again. I don’t even feel like thinking about it, sometimes. But I’ve always found a way to break out of that slump, and here are some things I’ve learned that have helped:

1. One Goal. Whenever I’ve been in a slump, I’ve discovered that it’s often because I have too much going on in my life. I’m trying to do too much. And it saps my energy and motivation. It’s probably the most common mistake that people make: they try to take on too much, try to accomplish too many goals at once. You cannot maintain energy and focus (the two most important things in accomplishing a goal) if you are trying to do two or more goals at once. It’s not possible — I’ve tried it many times. You have to choose one goal, for now, and focus on it completely. I know, that’s hard. Still, I speak from experience. You can always do your other goals when you’ve accomplished your One Goal.
2. Find inspiration. Inspiration, for me, comes from others who have achieved what I want to achieve, or who are currently doing it. I read other blogs, books, magazines. I Google my goal, and read success stories. Zen Habits is just one place for inspiration, not only from me but from many readers who have achieved amazing things.
3. Get excited. This sounds obvious, but most people don’t think about it much: if you want to break out of a slump, get yourself excited about a goal. But how can you do that when you don’t feel motivated? Well, it starts with inspiration from others (see above), but you have to take that excitement and build on it. For me, I’ve learned that by talking to my wife about it, and to others, and reading as much about it as possible, and visualizing what it would be like to be successful (seeing the benefits of the goal in my head), I get excited about a goal. Once I’ve done that, it’s just a matter of carrying that energy forward and keeping it going.
4. Build anticipation. This will sound hard, and many people will skip this tip. But it really works. It helped me quit smoking after many failed attempts. If you find inspiration and want to do a goal, don’t start right away. Many of us will get excited and want to start today. That’s a mistake. Set a date in the future — a week or two, or even a month — and make that your Start Date. Mark it on the calendar. Get excited about that date. Make it the most important date in your life. In the meantime, start writing out a plan. And do some of the steps below. Because by delaying your start, you are building anticipation, and increasing your focus and energy for your goal.
5. Post your goal. Print out your goal in big words. Make your goal just a few words long, like a mantra (“Exercise 15 mins. Daily”), and post it up on your wall or refrigerator. Post it at home and work. Put it on your computer desktop. You want to have big reminders about your goal, to keep your focus and keep your excitement going. A picture of your goal (like a model with sexy abs, for example) also helps.
6. Commit publicly. None of us likes to look bad in front of others. We will go the extra mile to do something we’ve said publicly. For example, when I wanted to run my first marathon, I started writing a column about it in my local daily newspaper. The entire island of Guam (pop. 160K) knew about my goal. I couldn’t back down, and even though my motivation came and went, I stuck with it and completed it. Now, you don’t have to commit to your goal in your daily newspaper, but you can do it with friends and family and co-workers, and you can do it on your blog if you have one. And hold yourself accountable — don’t just commit once, but commit to giving progress updates to everyone every week or so.
7. Think about it daily. If you think about your goal every day, it is much more likely to become true. To this end, posting the goal on your wall or computer desktop (as mentioned above) helps a lot. Sending yourself daily reminders also helps. And if you can commit to doing one small thing to further your goal (even just 5 minutes) every single day, your goal will almost certainly come true.
8. Get support. It’s hard to accomplish something alone. When I decided to run my marathon, I had the help of friends and family, and I had a great running community on Guam who encouraged me at 5K races and did long runs with me. When I decided to quit smoking, I joined an online forum and that helped tremendously. And of course, my wife Eva helped every step of the way. I couldn’t have done these goals without her, or without the others who supported me. Find your support network, either in the real world or online, or both.
9. Realize that there’s an ebb and flow. Motivation is not a constant thing that is always there for you. It comes and goes, and comes and goes again, like the tide. But realize that while it may go away, it doesn’t do so permanently. It will come back. Just stick it out and wait for that motivation to come back. In the meantime, read about your goal (see below), ask for help (see below), and do some of the other things listed here until your motivation comes back.
10. Stick with it. Whatever you do, don’t give up. Even if you aren’t feeling any motivation today, or this week, don’t give up. Again, that motivation will come back. Think of your goal as a long journey, and your slump is just a little bump in the road. You can’t give up with every little bump. Stay with it for the long term, ride out the ebbs and surf on the flows, and you’ll get there.
11. Start small. Really small. If you are having a hard time getting started, it may be because you’re thinking too big. If you want to exercise, for example, you may be thinking that you have to do these intense workouts 5 days a week. No — instead, do small, tiny, baby steps. Just do 2 minutes of exercise. I know, that sounds wimpy. But it works. Commit to 2 minutes of exercise for one week. You may want to do more, but just stick to 2 minutes. It’s so easy, you can’t fail. Do it at the same time, every day. Just some crunches, 2 pushups, and some jogging in place. Once you’ve done 2 minutes a day for a week, increase it to 5, and stick with that for a week. In a month, you’ll be doing 15-20. Want to wake up early? Don’t think about waking at 5 a.m. Instead, think about waking 10 minutes earlier for a week. That’s all. Once you’ve done that, wake 10 minutes earlier than that. Baby steps.
12. Build on small successes. Again, if you start small for a week, you’re going to be successful. You can’t fail if you start with something ridiculously easy. Who can’t exercise for 2 minutes? (If that’s you, I apologize.) And you’ll feel successful, and good about yourself. Take that successful feeling and build on it, with another baby step. Add 2-3 minutes to your exercise routine, for example. With each step (and each step should last about a week), you will feel even more successful. Make each step really, really small, and you won’t fail. After a couple of months, your tiny steps will add up to a lot of progress and a lot of success.
13. Read about it daily. When I lose motivation, I just read a book or blog about my goal. It inspires me and reinvigorates me. For some reason, reading helps motivate and focus you on whatever you’re reading about. So read about your goal every day, if you can, especially when you’re not feeling motivated.
14. Call for help when your motivation ebbs. Having trouble? Ask for help. Email me. Join an online forum. Get a partner to join you. Call your mom. It doesn’t matter who, just tell them your problems, and talking about it will help. Ask them for advice. Ask them to help you overcome your slump. It works.
15. Think about the benefits, not the difficulties. One common problem is that we think about how hard something is. Exercise sounds so hard! Just thinking about it makes you tired. But instead of thinking about how hard something is, think about what you will get out of it. For example, instead of thinking about how tiring exercise can be, focus on how good you’ll feel when you’re done, and how you’ll be healthier and slimmer over the long run. The benefits of something will help energize you.
16. Squash negative thoughts; replace them with positive ones. Along those lines, it’s important to start monitoring your thoughts. Recognize negative self-talk, which is really what’s causing your slump. Just spend a few days becoming aware of every negative thought. Then, after a few days, try squashing those negative thoughts like a bug, and then replacing them with a corresponding positive thought. Squash, “This is too hard!” and replace it with, “I can do this! If that wimp Leo can do it, so can I!” It sounds corny, but it works. Really.

Possitive affirmation :On Taking the right action

Here’s a positive affirmation you can when you find yourself in a bit of inspiration…

“Each and every day I am making action my ally as I move confidently in the pursuit of the goals I have set. It is widely spoken in The Secret, and successfully millions of people around the world know and use the Law of Attraction to generate the level of success they desire.
The Law of Attraction is basically a law of the universe, similar to gravity. Gravity happens if you cree or not - if you throw something in the air, it's going to fall down due to gravity. The Law of Attraction is attracting about things that you think - if you're constantly thinking of negative things that are going to attract more negativity in his life. On the other hand, if your thoughts are predominantly positive - will be experiencing situations positive and good additional opportunities will present themselves to you. You attract similar things.
That said, you can use positive affirmations to help attract the kind of things in your life you want and experience. It is important that their claims are credible for you, and you say to them at this time. In other words - you have to talk as if it has already become a reality in order to work. >

If you want to be free of debt and a millionaire, is not good to tell yourself "I'm going to be a millionaire debt free." What will happen is by the time you said that it "will be" free of debt and a millionaire, will simply be on their way to that stage. You never really get there, since they are only "going to be."
Instead, his claims need to focus on what you want, as if it has already occurred in his life. You might say: "I am a millionaire debt free" as many times a day as you could, for as many days as you could, until it became true. The trick is you have to believe it. As you believe it is, who is in the frequency and transmission of vibration in the universe that will attract situations that are on the same wavelength. Opportunities begin to submit to you that you can then take action and become one step closer to its goals.
If you are having trouble believing his claims, you may have to start with qualifiers. In other words, if saying "I am a millionaire debt free" when you thousands of dollars in debt with no assets is not convincing, start with something like "Now I am ready to accept that I am now in the process of becoming a debt free millionaire. " It is long, but if you feel better to say about it, that is important because the Law of Attraction works in their feelings.

Janet Beckers is the host and founder of Women Wonderful Web.
An award-winning online community recognized by the generous and honest marketing advice for women on the Internet.
To learn from the most successful women on the Internet via live Web seminars, forums and intellectual authors absolutely free, visit http://www.WonderfulWebWomen.com and join today.

George Bernard Shaw Motivating Words:

"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are.
