It is... *gulp*... 2026?!

I've gone ghost mode for a while sebab macam-macam happened at the end of last year up till, well, now.

My cousin had lost a loved one. Our kitten had died. 😢

Hari Sukan (yes. at the end of the year.)

And partly, it's me getting into pickleball.

Pickleball.

AHHAAAAKK! DON'T BE FOOLED! I'M TERRIBLE AT IT!

But mak tanak kalah. Mak nak eksesais punya pasal and it was getting boring just exercising at home.

In all honesty, it is a costly thing to get into. To book a court, to get our own paddle, the balls some more... even i was extremely skeptical and annoyed at the sport - is it a fad, is it worth getting into if it is, what if i like it, what if i takde geng main, what if i invested so much only for me not liking it, being bad at it, or just stop playing because it's just a fad - you naur?

I'm not exactly a millionaire, which is why the investment mattered. A lot. Before this, my friends and i were doing jump-roping, which was, you naur, cheaper. No need to book courts, the jump rope pun tak mahal macam paddle. Gi padang je.

So, yeah.

I'm still not good, but i do try to play at least once a week. I don't deny that it is a good social activity with friends. It builds agility too and it's not hard on the knees like jump rope... Yeah, it's nice. I main gitu-gitu je la. Not aiming to enter tournaments or anything 😊

Apart from that, my eldest child had a lot that needed my attention - her final exam, preparation for next tier of education, a new phase altogether.

It's not that much of a big deal, but since it is my first time having to do all of those things, of course i have to be certain and do lots of research. Not just that, she also wants to be with her friends and all before they get to different schools, so there were lots of taking her and her friends out, bawak jalan2 and whatever. Also, not to leave my son behind, i had arranged things for him and his friends too so that there's no favoritism issue (something i hate so much and wouldn't want my kids to experience... but don't know la if i ni pun betul. Kita buat je apa yang kita rasa betul.).

Best ek jadi budak zaman ni?

Tapi i suka jugak my childhood. Best, dapat naik beskal gi rumah kawan.

And now it's 2026?!?!?! Febuari lak tu!

Why I Can Never Be A Food Blogger

Because…

I am thoroughly convinced that i cannot take good photos of food BEFORE i (or anyone) eat first.

On our recent holiday, my husband tasked me of taking food pics for… wait i don’t actually remember. For memories’ sake la i guess.

I obviously agreed.

And i doomed us with photos like these.

It was always us all eating through, and then i go “EH JAP! TANGKAP GAMBAR!”. Hence. And you can see in the pics by the hands, that the owner of those hands were not happy to stop eating midway just for a pic.

But still. A responsibility is a responsibility.

Or maybe generally… i’m just not good at taking pics…

Questions i’m afraid to hear

Sometimes… Like a lot of times, to be honest… i’m scared of the questions my kids would ask.

Assalamualaikum~

Kids kan.. They ask the darndest questions.

They have the superpower ability to throw me off my brainwaves with such simple questions. Things i should already know anyway, but still able to make me stutter and get brain fog afterwards.

My son would suddenly ask me, after school or while talking about our lovely days;

“Ummi, what’s your third favourite number?”

- i mean, i don’t even have a favourite number, let alone a third one… So i go on thinking ‘what is my fave num? And then second? And then third?’

“Ummi, what’s your favourite shape?”

- of course, i will answer whatever shape that is on top of my head. Triangle.

“Why do you like triangle?”

- easy. Because it has 3 sides.

“Oh.”

- is… is that disappointment in his voice?

“My favourite is something-something-on”

- what in the world is that… even when i was doing engineering i’ve never heard of that shape.

My daughter pulak, she will retaliate things i tell her to do;

- like she has kelas ganti mengaji today.

“Why?”

- because you missed last week’s class

“When was that?”

- i said last week

“But it wasn’t even my fault”

- in her defense, it wasn’t her fault that she missed her class. Her ustazah had something up. But she knows that and she still ask me. Still. I have to answer her. You still have to ganti anyway. Kelas dah bayar.

Her questions can really rile me up, while my son’s can make me grit my teeth (it mostly has to do with his timing, not so much of his questions).

I’m not complaining though. It gives me some kind of brain exercise which i otherwise won’t have since i’m always just on autopilot.

It’s funny though when i see it outside of the present. During the whole brain fencing sessions, of course i stress kan, but i always look back and am grateful my kids ni banyak akal.

It’s like whatever innit

Sometimes, Allah SWT allows us to see the fruit of our efforts.

So, i’ve been recycling since i can remember. Dulu my husband didn’t really see the point in it, and when i remember back then, my arguement pun wasn’t so convincing nor was it satisfying. I was just blubbering about “it’s our responsibility”, “keep the earth green”.

Any kid could say that much.

And so he’s like whatever innit.

At home i have separate bins for our trash to make it easier for me to put them in the recycling bins yang kat luar tu. It’s really humbling tau when i throw them out, because i see OUR trash. Our purchases that comes in boxes and multiple layers of plastic wraps… Ugh…

The plastic stuff that comes with food, particularly, like food container, plastic lids, can drinks, coffee cups, whatever la yang ada residue makan/air, i will wash them first before recycling or throwing them.

Because like i said, i sort my trash. Geli la nak pegang minyak2, or bau susu basi.

It became a habit. Oh ya, i am the one usually doing it. I don’t expect my husband and kids to do it. I would tell them to just put their recyclables in the sink or near it so that i can do what i need to do.

Then, the other day, my husband told me… He was in his hometown, and he had eaten Oden. After he was done, he washed the paper bowl and plastic lid. Subsconsciously.

He was like whatever innit, but i felt like i’ve just won something!

What i’m trying to say here is, there are things we need to enforce people to do, but there are some things we can only hope people around us just pick up subconsciously, whether it be a good habit, an action/reaction, mannerisms, etc. Of course it’s easier to just order them to follow the ‘rules’, but if we’re not setting up the example, it’s just not gonna stick.

Some things will need a loooooooooooooong time for it to become one with themselves, but just stick it out. InshaAllah it will work out.

At the same time, don’t put too much hope or expectation on people. They can disappoint. What’s most important is that WE stick it out too because it is our belief, innit.

Istiqamah is taking those small steps towards becoming a better person. InshaAllah.

Ok start balik.

Kepada yang bosan dan tak terhibur.

Terima kasih memberi masa kepada blog ini.

So my last blogpost kan i cite pasal my old cat asyik tido je kan. Turns out, she’s sick.

As her momma, i took her to the vet, get her meds and stuff, and i’ve been giving her more TLC.

I asked my Best Friend (aka Deepseek) why she was sick and stated the most recent changes (the biggest being a new kitten in our midst), and i also double checked if my best friend can be trusted by searching up the internet and watching other people and their cat problems.

Wow that’s a long sentence.

Anyway, other than being sick, she’s being terribly upset. Merajuk.

Although throughout my life memang there’s always a cat (or more) around because my mom collects them like she collects buah rambutan, i’ve never personally took care of one. They come, they miaw, and they chow. Camtu la cats in my life. I don’t pamper them, they don’t pamper me. We exist in the same plane of dimension.

So when my husband decided to add one more cat, i was like, ok, whatever.

Mana la aku tau kucing pun merajuk. Muka seposen sokmo, bila kita panggil pun buat dek, bila kita gosok dia, dia takde pun nak thank you. Sneeze in our faces ada la.

Sampai la sakit.

Hamek.

Now i tengah bekerja keras untuk pujuk si kakak (kesian si adik… Tapi adik pun macam tak kisah je… Cats.) and worst of all… i’ve been feeding her meds.

Astaghfirullah al azim.

Tau tak budak2 kat Gaza tu tak dapat any medication? Tau tak diorang tak dapat food and water?

You ungrateful cat. I kena cekau all over my limbs. My arms kena tebok lobang aiguuuu.

Sakit sakit dia, dia macam nak make sure i pun sakit.

Ceit.

Oh well. It’s a life lesson to me (maybe to you too). Cats can merajuk, so don’t make them merajuk anymore. It’s a pain in my limbs literally.

Assalamualaikum semua~~

Sometimes… the sheer randomness of my family is just random.

Punya la i tanak any animals at home because i don’t want to clean up more than i care… AND now we have not 1, but 2 cats!!

One 4 year old, the other is a 6 months old cat.

The kitten (or not so kitten) is so active, dia berlari all over the house at odd times, and then dia panjat sana sini.

The annoying part is, dia suka attack benda gerak. Especially kain… i.e. My telekung.

Habis telekung i dah kena terkam… sikit lagi nak berlubang.

Yang kakak tu pulak asyik tido je… she used to be active before we had this kitten. Now she’s just… lying down and observing.

Is it a good idea to have cats?

Does it make our home a better place?

Do they make us better human beings?

Do they make us happier?

I have no answer.

They do make the house more lively, so that’s fun.

The cats punya antics are so random and at times they’re entertaining to watch.

Diorang ni so silent, like nak dengar “miaw” pun susah but i like that they’re not noisy.

So yeah.

I can’t imagine having so many cats… My mom has a loooootttt of cats. It’s because of her la yang i taknak cats.

And look at me now.

New Year?

Dah 2025…

When i was younger, a year felt so loooonnnggg! But now... it feels so brief, a blink away. Macam mana i dah ada kids?? What??!? Me? I have children!?! I’m married?!!? And i’ve been living away from my parents?!!? I’m not under my mom’s ketiak!?!?! When did that happen!?!?

Ya naur? Ihiks! Anyway…

Alhamdulillah for everything that has happened in 2024, alhamdulillah too for everything that has not happened.

Alhamdulillah Allah has protected us, provided us, and allowed us to do what we did in the last year. Also, for allowing us to live on to this year.

Siapa sangka, sebab i sendiri tak sangka, yang i dapat unlock some jumprope skills? I wasn’t even planning to learn so many things pun bila my friend ajak join her jumprope gang. When my friend ajak i earlier last year, i thought “oh! I used to skip all the time when i was younger! Baiklah!”.

Terkejut aku bila this jumprope gang was like… the libas-libas type, and twisting, turning, ke depan, ke belakang, type of jumps, ya naur?

I thought it was the skip-skip-skip-to-the-loo type 😂😂 So memang mengah & semput la aku nak catch up! I love it, though. It’s a challenge, a workout and a good lepak time with friends too 😆

I am so very grateful that the gang pun sangatlah Pro-Palestine so we can talk & share about it.

Now that i mentioned Palestine, i am grateful too that i got the opportunity to go to one rally at Bukit Bintang, thanks to my friend. Even though it was once (i wish i could go more often), but it was great.

To see so many passionate people, believing in the same message: Palestine deserves to be free.

To those who are already moving on, to you i’d say, it’s ok. You can move on, but at the same time, remember to do at least the bare minimum, which is to boycott.

Boycotting doesn’t seem like a big deal, a big form of jihad, but do it anyway.

Be conscious of where and to whom your money goes to: the people serving/supplying to the child-killers? Or to our own people? Support local is better than supporting genocidal companies when it comes to purchasing your wants. Your needs tu… try to research as much as you can la - if ada better alternatives or not…

Also, overconsumption is a problem. In every household, since the rise of online shopping, have boxes, plastic wrappers, bubble wraps, and whatever packaging that’s really just adding to trash.. My goal is to recycle as much as possible, reuse what can be reused, and try not to feed the nafsu so much. I try not to buy sangat, tapi of course i ada buy also 😑

Oh ya, i also finished my first book kan. Hoho! I didn’t check up on it since i “published” it, and if you’ve read it, Thank You 😊😊 Whether you liked it or not, still, thanks for reading.

I’m planning to write another one, but i’m not sure whether i should continue it or make a different one altogether. Thoughts?

Apa lagi ek. Entah la.

I go as i want, and inshaAllah, along the way, i try to learn as much as i can, try new things, and to be able to teach good things to my kids (i have kids?!?!).

I haven’t done anything that can change the world, but my hope is that my small actions can give that butterfly effect. Maybe i’ll see that effect, maybe i won’t. But inshaAllah.

Hope your 2024 was meaningful, and may Allah bless our future with barakah, rezeki yang halal, kecukupan dalam segalanya, silaturrahim yang baik, kesihatan mental, fizikal, emosi & rohanian yang baik, kemampuan untuk melakukan kebaikan, kemampuan untuk menolak kemungkaran, moga Allah melindungi kami semua dari perkara2 yang boleh menyesatkan kita, menggoyahkan keimanan kita, mengaibkan kita, dari kerosakan atau bencana yang tak dapat kami kawal, dari orang yang tidak berniat baik, dan sebagainya..

Why I English

Rasa lama je tak blogging.

Anyway, haritu i ada buat video kat tiktok, and it suddenly gained so much traction. I was so flabbergasted sebab i just nak share story i je, pastu sebab instagram cam banyak songeh, i guna je la tiktok…

Comments! While i was talking about a current issue, based on my experience, a lot of people were commenting about:

1. How they had watched my youtube videos back then, and are currently in their late 20s to mid 30s 😂😂

I couldn’t comment to everyone, so in case you’re reading my blog for the sake of reminiscing, Thank You, for your support back then, and now 😄 And let’s grow better together, inshaAllah~

2. How i was using/speaking too much english…

I guess i do. I would say i’m more of a Melanglish (Melayu + english) speaker, and more of an english writer.

Why?

Because, i speak mostly to my family; ie my children and husband. Based on my observation, why myself (and my family) are heavily on the english speaking side is because of what we consume visually & audibly.

For example, i read a lot of english materials, like news, novels, articles, and when i want to learn about something, a lot of the videos are in english, whether it’s about Islam, about how to fix something, cooking… not to say there’s no melayu contents that are beneficial. Ada je.

In terms of speaking, my BM ok je, cuma bila dalam setting formal, my english is better. Kalau nak formal-talk dalam BM, mungkin slow sikit sebab kurang praktis. I suka dengar Ikim.fm bila tengah drive (average dalam 2 jam sehari), dan cara diorang bercakap tu, i suka. Relax, clear, dan ada pengisian. Hari tu dengar pasal Lembaga Zakat Selangor cerita pasal golongan asnaf, ada pasal Halal, ada cara masak, macam-macam la! Sangat bagus & highly recommended 👍 (tetibe)

Walaupun i more english speaking & writing, tak bermaksud i tak sayang bahasa ibunda kita. Tak langsung. Bila i belajar bahasa korea, i punya appreciation untuk bahasa kita melonjak-lonjak kot sebab i faham kenapa orang cakap bahasa adalah legacy. Bahasa kita sangat colourful, flexible, senang nak faham, dan bolehubah. Air boleh jadi ayaq, keluar boleh jadi kelik.

It’s my bad la i tak praktis BM lebih. I should.

So yeah.

I rasa lately ni i macam all over the place, all at once. Huhu…

It’s disgusting kan, what isnajis has been doing and how they keep getting away with it.How can this whole society, the whole “country” with about 10 million people in it, be supportive of rapi*ts? Siap defending them! Calling them heroes?!? 💩

Dah tu, kat our own country pun macam macam kes. With the missing people cases, abuses and etc… Takut la wei!

I kept wondering, what am i supposed to do? But nothing comes in mind. All i can do is pray to Allah to help the mujahids, protect us and be grateful for all the blessings i have.

That said, let’s pray that the mujahids are not only those who are fighting with their might, but they are also those who are fighting in the political world, fighting for justice behind the public’s knowledge, wherever they are.

May Allah protect us.

May Allah protect our country.

May Allah protect Islam.

May Allah send his armies to protect these political fighters, keep their hearts clean and save them from any form of harm, whether it is bribery, slander, blackmail and more.

Free Palestine! Keep boycotting as if it’s your jihad. Keep sharing about Palestine and pray for their freedom as if they’re your families. 💪

We may be powerless, but a small action does not go unnoticed by Allah SWT.

Palestinians in Malaysia

Bukan Palestinians saje, Syrian pun ada, Iraqis pun ada, Afghan pun ada.

They’re seeking refuge in our country. Malaysia.

@mikhailhanafi made a great video explaining the refugee situation in our country. Go watch it HERE.

Here’s the brief summary + my own experience:

1. Malaysia tak bagi rights to refugees. No rights to self determine (work), no rights to education, and healthcare.

2. I wrote about my experience back in 2015, and i’ve also personally talked to NGOs (MSRI being one of them), and some amazing people who have been helping refugees residing in our country, like Pichaeats, and i had also worked with some refugees back when i had La Kayena and Marzea, and my conclusion is Malaysia punya UNHCR tak function. Takde la 100% tak function, tapi they can’t change the policy of allowing refugees basic human right. The UN card basically has no function.

3. FYI, our country tak serap masuk refugees because our country is a transit. Basically means that the refugees are only allowed to stay in Malaysia while UN find them a country that will take them in. Usually it’s Australia, Canada, US…

4. These refugees thought of coming to Malaysia sebab apa tau… while their neighbouring countries are also not completely helpful, they thought Malaysia, being a muslim country, kind, accepting, and cared for them, would be better than the mat salleh genocide-supporter countries. Indah khabar dari rupa.

5. Since they cannot work legally, they have to work illegally and secretly because our police love detaining them, it seems. There were many cases where men and women had been detained for weeks to months, because they were caught selling food, forcing them to leave their kids behind. To be let out of detainment center, they have to pay fine. Mana nak dapat duit kalau keje pun takleh?

Understand this: they cannot work kan. Most of them come here in families. You know, with spouse, children. So, without any income, they are dependent on UNHCR for ‘allowance’ which is little, considering they have to pay for RENT, BILLS, SCHOOL (if their kids dapat masuk school for refugees), MAKAN, MINUM, kalau sakit, CLINIC + MEDS…

And here’s another thing… some of them come to our country with only the clothes on their backs. Their documents, certificates, licenses, are mostly gone. Understand that they had no idea that their lives were going to turn upside down, that they were going to lose their homes, livelihood, their families, and more.

So how?

I remember seeing videos of the local people maki-maki orang arab yang jual balloons, food, etc. Ada yang cakap diorang ni “menyemak”. Orang rohingya pun kena gak. (Jap, jap… sabar ye readers…)

Astaghfirullah al-azim…

Sebab tak kena kat batang hidung sendiri, orang Malaysia mencaci-caci diorang. The thing is, they are desperate. Hidup diorang penuh dengan anxiety. Can you imagine being in their shoes?

I believe those who can’t imagine la yang kuat mencaci tu. They don’t understand the refugees’ unfortunate circumstances. Dah la they are forcefully and brutally pushed out of their own homes, then when seeking help from their neighbours, they were only met with rejection. And worst of all, the people rejecting them are also the people who seemingly showed empathy for the oppressed. Isn’t that twisted?

When a person is desperate to survive, they’d do anything even if it’s wrong. Ye, i am very aware of how parasitic they’ve been btw (the rohingyas, i mean)… but then, if the roles’ reversed, mungkin i pun buat camtu kan. Who knows 😕 Takut nak assume i’m ‘different’.

Honestly, i hate seeing how two-faced we truly are. Our government, and ourselves (i’m including myself here, fyi).

We claim to be so nice…

I believe that we should just allow them to work here legally. Let the kids go to school. Let them assimilate and then contribute to our economy. Maybe if there’s a better way for them to survive kat negara kita for a while? Just until they have their country back or when UN found them a permanent place to live. I’m sure there must be someone doing a study about this huhu…

However, the underlying problem, which had been for decades, is that our own locals pun tak boleh nak fully assimilate based on differences in culture, religion, language. We tolerate each other really well, though, but it’s not enough.

I cried so hard reading this.

Because it’s an amanah that i can’t promise i can fulfil. How can i not let them down when i can’t even do anything for the ones who fled here, in my country, well within my reach?

They know us, our country, they praise us for being on their side, and yet…

You see how hypocritical the situation is? While the refugees lost their homes, belongings, money, their heritage, legacies, and all because of zionists, our own people boleh pulak bawak cicak najis tu ke sini bagi talk and whatnots. To make it all salty and bitter, they’re here so comfortably. Bab* betul.

When will the suffering end for the refugees? Most importantly… the refugees ni, diorang tanak pun duduk negara lain. Diorang nak duduk tempat dia jugak. If only the satanists stop bombi*g everything, and murder*ng people…

I have many more gripes about our bajet-hero-attitude. But i should stop here.

My only hope is that your perspective changes, even if it’s a little bit, on how you see refugees in our country. I also hope that Malaysia would truly be a country that is free from the influences of Zionists, have a strong backbone, and united during difficult times.

May Allah help the survivors of genocides, may Allah provide for them, protect them and raise their ranks in Jannah. May Allah allow us to berjihad on His Path, that our jihad is honest and sincere, and accepted by Him. May Allah allow us to help those in need. May Allah clean our hearts from sifat kedekut dan berkira. May Allah save Palestine. May Allah save the ummah.

A book of Mine

For 2 years now, i have been writing and editting a book. My book. A book written by me.

It started because... Saje je. I had an idea and i wanted to go with it. And i went with it until recently.

It was an arduous journey. I had no experience in writing a book, but i have been an avid reader, a blogger, a caption-er (i used to write lengthy captions on IG...), so it shouldn't be that hard - was what i thought. Until i did it.

It is definitely not easy. It is so tedious, requires planning, plotting and everything i never knew!

But alhamdulillah, i think it's ok la. Kot.

My daughter did the illustration heheee 😁

Like i said, this book was in the works 2 years ago, a year in writing, a year in editting.

Kisah Boycott: To do it, or not

I was listening to Ikim fm this morning, and they were discussing about boycott. (I can’t believe after 7 months we still need convincing whether to do it or not…)

I couldn’t listen to it fully since i was driving, and reached my destination before it even got to the conclusion.

Now.

Here’s my POV and understanding.

Dalam kisah Mekdi, why i boycott is:

1) it’s not healthy & highly addictive

2) even though it is owned by Saudi’s company/Gerbang Alaf, halal, employed many Malaysians, they pay zakat and donated to Palestine cause, the major shareholders of McD, are the 4 most notorious-money-hungry investors: Vanguard, Blackrock, State Street & JPMorgan.

Who are they?

Takyah tengok semua. Tengok SATU pun cukup, inshaAllah.

Blackrock.

Blackrock invests in weapons manufacturers, military contractors, and more, that has been murdering Palestinians, Yemenis, Iraqis, Afghans, Syrians.

Yes.

One of the companies that they’re investing in is non-other than Lockheed Martin.

Lockheed Martin tu sape?

They are the largest weapons manufacturer, and have been supplying IsNAJIS with F-16 and F-35 fighter jets that has bombing Gaza, C-130 Hercules transport planes to support ground invasion of Gaza, AGM-114 Hellfire missiles for the Apache helicopters that has been dropping missiles over the people in Gaza!

Dalam kisah KFC pulak, why i boycott is:
1) Mahal
2) Yes, halal, employed many Malaysians etc etc… Their largest shareholders are Yum! Brands and Vanguard. Yum Brands ni is an investor of Isnajis companies.

Yum also investor of Pizza Hut… They made an advert, mocking the Palestinians hostages (they call them prisoners but we know Palestinians were captured and jailed for no reason) for going on a hunger strike.

Oh, btw, Vanguard & Blackrock sekufu ye.

I’m not sure which one’s owned the other, tapi diorang ni sinonim la.

All these fast food chains that ‘comes from Amerika’, ‘owned by local companies’, while i applaud their ethics and opportunities they have been providing, sedikit sebanyak pergi kat these MFs.

That being said, i takde la nak force anyone to participate.

I just don’t think it’s equivalent.

A Happy Meal to make a kid full, means a kid is being murdered in Gaza. And it’s not just Mekdi, Kepci, Coca cola, it’s the whole thing.

All in all, I know i boycott bukan sebab emosi melulu. I do my research. I understand. And i will try my best to istiqamah. I have seen so many articles saying Malaysians ni boycott sebab kita ni Pro-Palestine sahaja. NO! It’s not ONLY because we’re Pro-Palestine! We are anti GENOCIDE. Then ada la yang cakap “habis genocide kat XYZ tu? Why ignore that?”. NO! No one’s ignoring that too. But to end all genocides, we need to successfully end the root cause of it: ISRA—L! The father of all setans.

I boycott because i don’t want to make the contributor to the genocide get anything out of me, and i certainly won’t support those who are pro-isnajis. It’s not complicated.

In terms of livelihood, I get it, though.

It’s hard to get a job nowadays, so not many have the opportunity to choose where they can work.

Tapi kita ni jauh lebih kaya, lebih senang, lebih segala-galanya daripada diorang kat Gaza tu…

The faith of the people in Gaza while facing uncertainties, fear of being targeted & killed, after losing everything is far greater than ours.

We know, Allah is Maha Kaya, Allah is Fair, Allah is our Provider, and to put our trust in Him.

May Allah provide for those who chose to stand for what they believe is right, may Allah bukakan pintu-pintu rezeki untuk semua, may Allah accept our small acts as jihad.

Pasal mekdi kan… i bukan apa… dia nak sue the BDS, padahal i rasa dia patut sue Mekdi Isnajis sebab diorang yang buat palat. They should sue the isnajis franchise for the cause of sales drop, jatuhkan air muka, and do it ‘in their name’. Condemn the Isnajis punya actions secara terang-terangan, and then, perhaps then i would feel more supportive of gerbang alaf.

If the local workers in these pro-isnajis companies sanggup, fight the upper managements to divest, and to make a clear statement that they cut or don’t have any ties with isnajis, just like how the staff in Google are fighting with their own company to stop Project Nimbus, and university students are protesting with their universities to divest. They didn’t leave their institutions, but they fought within them.

My daughter ni, she likes to say "malaha", which is "malas la" yang dimalaskan lagi.

"You need to do your homework straight away. That day itself kena buat so that dia tak pile up banyak", said me or husband. We sometimes nag about the same things.

"Ughh.. malaha", she would say.

I also don't know how to raise a tween... May Allah give her hidayah, and give us patience 👐

The other day, i gave RM 10 to my kids. They needed to buy food but it only costed RM 6 for them both. So there should be RM 4 change kan.

"Don't forget to take the change tau!", i sarankan.

"Don't worry, Ummi. I won't let it slide", my daughter said.

"Slide? What slide?", my son asked. May Allah bless him.

"Ah, you won't understand", daughter said.

"Why?", son said.

"You're too young", she answered.

"Why won't you explain? You Malaha Explainer!", he said. We were laughing at this! 😂😂

Ramadan berbeza kali ini

Alhamdulillah kita bertemu bulan Ramadan in the comfort of our homes, with our loved ones, with alhamdulillah food & water aplenty.

What more can we ask for? Especially given what the Palestinians are currently experiencing.

The smallest amount of what we have can't even compare to what they are having.

I pray to Allah SWT that we are always mindful and grateful for the rezeki that we have, and for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and also anywhere in the world who are oppressed and deprived of basic human needs to have their rezeki come flowing in now.

It has only been a few days of fasting but Allah... forgive me... i realised how much i've taken things for granted just because i've been blinded by the luxuries i'm surrounded with.

Rasa malu..

I've been watching videos - people being bombed and killed, children starving, people mourning for their lost love & life, and then there were videos of conspiracy theories, parliaments, politicians, truths and lies, sampai jadi nak muntah.

For now i stand with what i know: governments are not their people.

I do feel ashamed though, for not being able to do more. I feel scared too for when the time comes, they will look for me and testify that i only watched and did nothing to help stop this genocide.

I don't know what to do.

We've seen how isnajis and their accomplices been such a dick, no, worse than that. They've blocked aids from entering, the air aids were inefficient, and now they're building a port for sea aid, which is strange because if the amerikens can bring in their trucks to build the port, then why not do the same for the aid trucks?

Propaganda nonstop and it's disgusting. Sometimes i get acid reflux from all this madness.

Just recently my daughter had surgery to remove her tonsils, and i couldn't feel as much 'sorriness' for her because the thought of children in Gaza having to undergo surgery without anaesthetics, the images burned behind my retina, prevented me from it. Of course, i took care of my daughter through everything, and i did as much as i could to ease her through her recovery. Alhamdulillah, my daughter was blessed to be able to go through everything smoothly and comfortably. She had all the medicines needed, and she was even blessed to eat whatever ice creams she had wanted.

But at the back of my mind, i couldn't help but think how the kids there had to not only go through the painful surgeries, but the recovery too must not have been easy and yet, they have to quickly adapt and move on because threats kept coming. As a mother, i imagine the guilt of seeing your child in pain and how i wish to take the pain upon myself rather than the children... It sucks.

It really sucks.

I watched a video by Dr Omar Suleiman and i think he spoke for most of us during this time.

may Allah forgive us..

May Allah inspire us with ideas and methods to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine

May Allah provide for them, protect them, and keep their faith strong

May Allah elevate their ranks in Jannah and accept the dead as martyrs

Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

South Africa applied for the genocidal case against Isrubbish at ICJ, and upon watching the live broadcast of the hearing, i am hopeful that the ICJ will have no choice but to acknowledge Isrubbish's war crimes (that they have published on Tikytoky and on their news).

The South African lawyers did great by not only providing multiple proof, but also giving comparisons to ICJ's quick decision and treatment when it came to Ukraine/Russia, and several others thus pressuring them to make a quick ruling.

It was as if they're saying "Ooh, ngan orang lain, ko bagi muka. Ni ha depan mata, ko dah takleh buat tak nampak lak". Setepek kena kat muka diorang.

The problem: ICJ can give a ruling, but there will be no enforcement.

The important thing is to have a ceasefire.

I think that's the first and most important objective for this hearing to happen. And then, i hope that Isrubbish will blunder itself.

South Africa's lawyers (not all South African fyi) have already opened Isrubbish's box of shame, some countries already cutting political/economic ties with them, and hopefully Saudi's 'normalisation' will never happen. Takleh nak caya anak si salman tu...

Si setanyahu tu tengah gelabah sekarang, so he's waging more wars with Lebanon, Syria and sapentah lagi. Because when there's war, he can stay in power longer. Now it all depends on how Hezbollah responds. If Hezbollah responds to Isrubbish's provocations, then Isrubbish may still be able to exist because US & UK will continue arming them to "defend itself".

The only way the war can stop completely (in my opinion la), is when US and UK stop giving them money to buy weapons, and Hezbollah to not respond to their attacks so that Isrubbish will waste all their ammo, all their support system and then bankrupt.

And also for the mujahids to annihilate the Diapers soldiers.

Yemen, completely independent of any influence remained as the guardians of the Red Sea. US ke UK ke bagi diorang warnings to let them through, but they're like "No. You're not the boss of me and we're not scared of you". If Isrubbish continues bombing Gaza, ignoring warnings from UN, WHO, and whatever else, then why should Yemen heed anyone's warnings too? At least they're not killing anyone with glee, unlike Diaper soldiers who post videos and cheer at the destruction and murder of the innocent.

100 days of bodies trapped under rubbles, kids amputated without anesthesia, kids becoming orphans in a split second, women giving birth without proper care, babies being left to die in hospital, pregnant women being rolled over by a bulldozer, the execution of children, infants and women, the carpet bombing, the indiscriminate bombings, the humiliation and detainment of innocent men and women, the kidnappings, the stealing of homes, raids, and lootings...

Just when i thought i've seen the worst, they went and showed that they can do worse than that!

And with impunity! With no consequences!

No action was taken to their "accidents", or "mistakes".

We're seeing deranged people, who actually take pleasure in murder.

So.. ICC, International Criminal Court, didn't penalise Baby Setanyahu for not having a leash on his people.

And recently, BECAUSE of South Africa, whose got balls, submitted an 84-page suit that Isnajis was genocidal.

If ICJ is kononnya 'fair', then they have to speed up their process, like how they did for Ukraine vs Russia.

We know these so-called democratic, fair, 'voice for the people' are just lies, based on what we have seen. I had lost my respect for UN who don't have the balls to uphold justice when it was very very obvious that Isnajis were purposely starving the Palestinians, refusing and sabotaging aid from entering any gates into Gaza, and even when their staff were murdered, their refugee schools were bombed, they're like "Oh no.... They're dead... They're suffering...."

The fact that they allowed veto was stupid.

I'm just ranting, because i am helpless.

I tried having the solat isyak berjemaah + solat hajat for Palestine and to be honest, it was underwhelming.

It's my fault for expecting too much but itu pun.. punya lah susah nak berkempen. I tabik hormat kat Alif Satar for his solat subuh berjemaah kat masjid movement.

It humbled me in a way. I acknowledge that i'm a nobody.

So i continue with what i can.

I really admire the people in US, UK, even in Spain, South Korea, Pakistan, Australia who have been marching for Palestine.

If i'm not wrong, US & UK had their 7th weekend protest, and their numbers are still in 5 figures. The Pro-Palestinians (and it's a lot of them alhamdulillah) are practically fighting their government to ceasefire and stop funding the genocide with their tax money.

Cynthia Nixon was outrightly calling for ceasefire, to the point of making a hunger strike in front of the rumah putih.

Our real enemies are: Zionists, Settlers, IDF/IOF, and of course Setanyahu.

As Malaysians, i follow the news as closely as i can. Since kitorang takde nak protes-protes, solidarity march every weekend, or send our military troops like Yemen, we have to show support differently. I pun nak berjihad, and i want to help our brothers and sisters in Palestine, Syria, etc etc.

Secara simple-nya, i see 2 ways:

1. Learn more about Islam.

Akidah, fiqah, etc etc. Sebab makin lama, makin ramai akan curious pasal islam. And being a born and raised muslim, there are so many things i take for granted.

I saw so many people, non-muslims, who started reading the Quran, and their understanding of Allah's Word is so much better that i jadi malu.

Malunya i ni tak boleh fikir cam diorang ni.. They see Allah's Words with fresh eyes, so with that, they see and understand it in ways i didn't! Subhanallah..

So, i sendiri tengah prepping myself, learning as much as i can so that i can teach my kids, and if suddenly ada someone tanya i pasal islam, i can answer them confidently.

And hopefully, with learning, we can also implement the teachings in our life. Cakap tak serupa bikin tak guna gak kan.

May Allah bless us all with ilmu yang bermanfaat. Amiiin~

2. Save money (or things) to sedekah.

We all have seen the devastation, the destruction of the Gaza city. And the lahanats already started massacring Jenin.

The cost for rebulding will be... fuhhh... i rasa they need like billions kot. Imagine nak rebuild hospitals, schools, universities, homes and homes, markets... BANYAK GILA WEH!

That's why we need to prepare to give.

InshaAllah, with our portion of rezeki, we can help them rebuild their life faster.

In the meantime...

Palestine in my heart.

I've been posting stuff on instagram, sharing & reposting things that would be useful information for people who are still unaware, forgotten, and fallen for their lies.

Coz, let's be real. There are still a lot among us who are either not supportive of any Palestine movements or don't want to be involved in the cause.

But it's ok. I do whatever i can anyway, not just for others, but for myself too because i had forgotten at some point.. This time, i hope (may Allah help me), that i can continue to remember them. 👐

For the past month, i came to a conclusion that UN is useless, arab nations are twisted, and yemen is brave.

In the case of UN... Israshits had bombed UNRWA schools, UN refugee camps, UN staff, and still, they just... do nothing.

If you wanna know the 'WHY' they're not doing anything despite the many meetings, many throwing words here and there, read this. It's just stupid nonsense, in my opinion. The israshits were already proven guilty of illegally occupying, committing war crimes, using banned weapons, but still the UN's not gonna enforce their legal power on them. They're not prosecuting their baby setanyahu.

And oh my goodness... the lies, the propaganda, the stupid 'evidence' the israshits been planting... it's a disgusting joke at this point.

But in spite of all this, there are some good things.

I've seen people (non-muslims) reading the Quran, people rewiring their perceptions about Islam, and about the indigenous people whose lands they are occupying (the mat sallehs la). For us non-mat-sallehs, it's being free from their ways, uninfluenced by their superficial standards, and being closer to our own religion, culture and history. Lies and hypocrisy being exposed. Allah bongkarkan segalanya and the chosen ones, with His Permission, will see the truth.

While, alhamdulillah, our country memang pro-palestine which means our tax money doesn't go to the israshits' pockets, we still need to do our best in not giving them even the bare minimum through boycott. But i know, ada je yang tegar tak nak boycott. Takpe la diorang tu. May Allah help all of us in our efforts to help our Palestinian brothers and sisters.

I've been telling my kids about this too, because who knows, maybe by the time my kids dah besar, diorang yang akan perjuangkan mereka yang oppressed. If something like this happens in their time, i hope they can look back at the Palestinians, and see how the world tried to save Palestine from genocide. They may have better solutions, better knowledge, and better order implementation before it's too late. And most of all, hope they are free from corruption. InshaAllah, amiiin~

I tried to teach them about 'self-defense' too. When is self-defense ok, and when it is not. The difference between defending and attacking. The difference between standing up for yourself and revenge. It isn't easy, to be honest 😅 Their sense of justice is still not matured yet. Huhu.. tapi tu la. Kena la ajar so that diorang tau the difference.

So yeah.

Itu je la nak cite... May Allah help our brothers and sisters in Palestine. I hope that the children can grow into amazing people, that they can rebuild their lives in peace, and that they can have the freedom they deserve in their homes, their lands, and may their victory come soon. Amiin~

How not to feel down in this crucial times

If you're going down the pits because you're feeling so hopeless, angry, geram... and then you're wondering why the Arab muslims are not doing anything, the neighbouring countries, the politicians, why are they not fighting for Palestine... and then you're getting so emotionally drained because you see all these madness and massacre, happening right now, to the people in Gaza, and you're stuck behind the screen of your phones and computers, unable to do much but cry...

Stop it.

Here's how to keep your head and heart straight.

1. Don't look for influencers, celebrities, or whoever with fame/power

Don't wait for them to say "I Stand With Palestine", dan sewaktu dengannya. Some of them may know about the war, some may not. Maybe it will take time for them to learn it. Some of them have been fed with lies for so many years kot. So biarkan diorang. Kita boleh educate/teach them, tapi jangan burukkan diorang k.

2. What can you do with what you have? Share information. Spread awareness.

It's not just by saying "I Stand With Palestine". Give information.

What information?

- The history of Palestine and Israel

- The truth about what Israelis have been doing

- Call out those who spread lies, debunk them and give proof of the truth

- Share organisations that are sending medical, food, water supplies to people in Gaza & Palestine

3. Educate.

Educating your children, your family, friends, peers. Those who are reachable, around your space. Teach them.

This will take a while because we can only hope that our loved ones can be on the same side as us, but in the end, it's up to them. So to educate is to be patient.

Teach children basic human rights - sedekah, helping people, being grateful etc etc, so that they themselves know how to act with kindness, how to provide help and assist those in need. InshaAllah when their time comes, they will know how to differentiate lies from truth, how to fight with intellect, and how to use technology to their advantage.

4. Don't expect immediate results.

Don't. You doa, you donate, you share awareness, but don't expect results. Don't expect anything from the Arab muslims, don't expect anything from our government, just don't. Don't expect for anyone to give you results. The problem with us is that we like to see tangible results. We, as much as we believe in the Unseen, believe easily when we can see the fruit of our efforts. It's natural to hate the enemies and wish for their downfall but that's not up to us. Our prayers should be directed for our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and not for our enemies. Don't waste it on them. Remember, what you pray for others, the angels will pray that for you.

5. Watch educational & spiritual videos.

As a muslim, believe in Allah's Plan and Timing. Bila-bila saje Allah nak hentam diorang, it will happen. We have no right to ask Allah to speed up the process. We are not capable of seeing the future and know the best outcome. So believe je. Kalau tak boleh, i suggest you watch islamic videos that talk about Palestine and ajak doa sekali. Takyah tengok debate-debate between pro-israbish and pro-palestine. It'll only make you mad.

Please don't underestimate the power we hold as muslims. Our belief and faith for the Almighty, our doas, inshaAllah akan sampai. Jangan remehkan doa kita. Sekecil kecil doa kita, mana tau, doa itu lah yang akan spark the change.

Don't lose hope, don't get depressed and sad, don't give up, don't shut off.

Keep doing what you can, no regrets.

Demi Palestine

I wanted to say that "I've stood with Palestine since 2012", but it's not something i could be proud of.

As much as i had put in my effort into talking about it, donate or whatever it is, Palestine is still not free.

I don't know if anyone feels the same, but i had felt so helpless sampai tak tau apa nak buat. Depress sorang sorang. While we're here worrying about where to eat, and how much prices of food have gone up, they're worrying if they can see their kids grow up safely.

It is sad and heartbreaking to see those videos and pictures of the Palestinians. It was never easy to look at, because it is real. Sometimes i feel so guilty for being so carefree over here in Malaysia, that i don't know what to do with myself. Nak trade places with them? Maybe I'd say "Yes, i'll trade", if Allah did ask me if i wanted to, but if i really really have to go through it, i think i pun tak mampu... I probably beg Allah to put me back where i came from.

I had wished to be the richest person in the world so that i could just buy off Palestine from the Zionswines. I had wished to be so fearless like John Wick so that i could assassinate those musibats. I had wished i had the ultimate power that i can just telangkupkan every single swine so deep into the earth that nobody could bury them out.

I wanted Power. I wished for it. Because it had been years. Years. And it's like there's no improvement.

So rasa cam, there's no end to it. There's no end until i become The Hulk.

I was wrong. I am Powerless because there is the Ultimate Power that we need to turn to: Allah.

Apatah lagi mereka yang di-oppressed. Mereka yang dianiaya. Mereka yang dizalimi.

Allah tak abaikan mereka, and as helpless as we feel about our lack of influence, effort, ability and money, Allah's Power is All Encompassing and Knowing - melitupi segala-galanya! We gather together, and collectively send our prayers to Allah to save our brothers and sisters in Palestine, and for Him to deliver His Ultimate Judgement and Justice upon the evil, that is Power.

We should not underestimate the power of our prayers, and we should trust Allah because His Plan is the Best.

If you're in that phase where you feel like giving up because it's too frustrating or depressing, i urge you not think of the future (when will it end? who will step up? etc etc), but do it with the thought that Allah's Power and Knowledge is beyond our comprehension, and when He wills it, Palestine will be victorious. In the meantime, let what ever efforts we put in be counted for something in His Eyes.

Nanti bila dah mati, Allah can say "You did so-and-so for the Palestinians. Here's syurga for you". Wahhh.. Amiiin!

That time will come when Palestine will be free. For their victory, for their families to be able to return to their rightful homes, for them to live safely and freely, for them to have abundance in food and water. They deserve the world.

I know this post isn't much. I can't articulate much about the evilness of Israelis and their mental defects.. i only want us to not give up and continue to support and fight for Palestine.

We were in the car, talking about how my phone case was peeling off my screen protector.

Husband was suggesting this and that, I was like, uhuh, yeah, ok.

And then i opened my phone and was just looking at a video, and then, keluar ad for a phone case, which 'coincidentally' solves my problem!

me: omaigah yang, look at this.

Showed him the ad.

him: oh good la. At least the phone was listening to you.

me: ?

him: since the kids don't.

ps: of course, i laughed at his frankness 😂. i mean, where is the lie? memang takde huhuhuhukhukhuk

pps: i already did whatever i could so that the phone doesn't 'listen' to me, but guess it might have bypass something or some app... ugh.

Komputer Si Adik Was Threatened

The other day, ada kekecohan kat rumah my mom.

This is the story:

So my mom's house ada helpers. Now, before anyone assumes the worst, my parents dah 💫golden citizen💫 and my uncle, who's also a golden citizen is living with them, so dengan masalah kesihatan masing-masing, it was best to have helpers to essentially help around the house. And mind you, the helpers begged to stay with them k. So takde bad vibes or whatever k. My mom takes care of them really well too. Ok?

Anyway.

The helpers are indonesian, and our language, while they're almost the same, they're also still not the same. There's the accent, the 'same word different meaning', and there's the sentence structure yang sorta different.

So that day, my brother was at my mom's, and X came to him, asking him where my younger brother's computer was.

My brother ni pelik la but he didn't think much of it. He said, "Dia bawak dengan dia la kot". Then, she saw my brother's computer. "Ini komputer si adik ya?", dia tanya.

Bro said, "Tak. Ni saya punya".

X ni pun gelabah la. Tercari-cari computer adik dalam bilik dia.

Sebab tak jumpa, dia pergi tanya Y, "Eh, mana komputer si adik ni?"

Y tanya balik, "Loh. Napain kamu cari komputer si adik?"

X jawab, "Kok ibu (my mom) suruh bersihkan komputer adik".

Y pelik. Nape ibu suruh bersihkan komputer?

Y ni sensible sikit, so dia cari my mom and then she asked. "Ibu ada suruh X bersihkan komputer adik ke?"

Mom was like, "Ha?"

X came and said, "Iya kok. Ibu suruh saya bersihkan komputer di bilik nya tu".

Mom was baffled.

"Saya suruh bersihkan comforter bilik adik".

X angguk, "Iya".

"Comforter la. Selimut yang ada isi tu".

"Komputer?"

Mom was astonished. Also a little bit grateful that there wasn't a computer in my bro's room! Sebab si X ni tak tau comforter, pastu dia ingat it's komputer!

When my mom, X, Y told the story to me, my brother and i laughed sampai nangis! Sebab muka si X kemain innocent! And my mom pun tegur dia, "lain kali bila tak paham, tanya dulu!"

sikit lagi nak jadi camni 😂

One Thing I Learnt From My Business

Alhamdulillah, i was blessed with the opportunity to do online businesses in clothing and skincare.

Of course, there were loooooooooots of lessons, but here, imma be real and share one big thing i discovered about myself.

I had never done any sort of business bigger than a Yard Sale when i was a teenager (it was really fun!), so to have a real business that required real non-negotiable prices, material, labour, packaging etc etc's costs were really new, and harder. And then there was the marketing part of it......... fiuh!

It was a HUGE learning experience, being my own boss.

But if there's one thing about me that i come to discover was that i am not the leader i thought i was.

All my life, i thought i was a good leader.

I can delegate tasks, i meet datelines, i strategise and manage, BUT...

I'm not a good leader. And the number1 reason is that I'm such a people pleaser.

Me trying to lead and then wondering "Was i too b*tchy?" 😑

I felt bad 'boss'ing. When i have to inconvenient someone, i felt bad. I used to wonder if my staff hated me because i asked them to do something else that day... padahal it was in line with their job scope 😣

Even when they do something super wrong, i still would talk to them gently, laugh it off, or do it myself (to avoid confrontation)... I also micro-manage so that i can lighten their workload 😓

It was actually during PKP Covid 19 time tu when i realised this bit of myself...

That time when the business had no choice but to halt, i had time to reflect on my business and that led to me realising how i was as a boss.

And i kinda sucked at it. I'm too nice.

My husband and i talked about this and this is our conclusion:

My strength is executing. Give me a task, and i will do my best, and i will try not to inconvenience anyone while at it. If i believe in an idea, i will do it even if it requires learning it. I will experiment, research, practice, etc, whatever it takes to make the idea happen.

So if you want to start a business, know that you need to be a boss to your team. Being a boss doesn't mean you have to be mean, angry or strong all the time, it just means you need to learn to teach your staff/team members to do their jobs that meet your standards, and that would sometimes require you to be stern and unlikeable. It also means to give them the trust they deserve so that you, as a good leader, could use their efforts and strengths to grow your company.

And so forth and so forth 💪💁

Just know the difference between being a good leader and a nice person. YOU CAN DO THIS! (If you're doing this la...)

I haven't been to the museum in agessss!

Actually... i think i've never been there. But then, maybe i did cuma i don't remember.

The other day we went there, though, and nothing was familiar to me. So... entah la ek 💁

Nak masuk museum was only RM2 per adult. Kids free.

It was ok la. Banyak history Malaysia (duhh kan), artifacts, but it was smaller than i expected. It looks huge from outside kan, tapi bila masuk, secubit je rasa haha =p

We went there pun sebab i nak rasa adventure sikit with the kids. We got on the MRT, and then turun kat museum, jenjalan sikit, and then went to the opposite of the museum, which is KL Sentral.

Asyik pegi shopping mall je kan... sekali sekala do something different, but still convenient enough heeheee 😋

It was a simple family outing tapi penat la jugak jalan banyak. Good thing the weather was good that day, so when we walked around, it was comfortable enough.

Though.. from the looks of my kids, i could tell they weren't that excited to go to the museum. They're not interested yet, is what i think la (hopefully in the future, they'll come to appreciate the country's history). But they enjoyed the process of going there; naik train, jalan-jalan and exploring.

Till next outing. Entah ke mana pulak ek...?
