Your Visa application is liable to be rejected if you:-

Suffer from any life threatening contagious disease.
Suffer from mental illness and travelling to India for purposes other than medical treatment.
are addicted to or have trafficked in narcotics.
have been convicted for or have criminal charges outstanding in any country.
have been deported or expelled from any country.
have submitted insufficient/incomplete/ false documents
are found to be in possession of unauthorized travel documents
have suppressed any material information
or any other grounds as in the opinion of concerned authorities that would render the applicant ineligible for visa, not necessarily to be conveyed to the applicant orally or to be recorded in writing.

How to Apply MRP(Machine Readable Passport) for Bangladeshi Citizen

At first you have to go to your nearest Passport Office.You can have Passport Form for Applying MPR without any cost. Also you can download Application Form Click Here
If you still have your previous Hand Written passport then it's not a problem to apply MPR.All you have to apply for your MRP with old passport. Authority will deliver your old passport with MRP (Machine Readable passport) Later.

Apply For MRP :

1. Completed Passport Application Form in duplicate. Application forms must be filled in fully, legibly and accurately (preferably typed or filled in with a computer). The form must be signed at all requested places. Incomplete application form will not be processed.
2. 4 (four) 40mmx50mm / passport size photographs. (two photographs on each of the application forms)
3. Passport Processing Fees in one of the accepted methods of payment.(You can pay at Sonali Bank)
4. Existing passport (in original) [Please note that the existing passport will be attached (stapled) with the newly issued passport, which will have reference of the existing passport. The holder should not separate the booklets]
5. In case of a female applicant, who wishes to replace father's name with husband's name (mentioned at Sl. 9 in the application form), the applicant should provide a copy of her marriage certificate.

Recently Bangladesh Government started to issuing the New Machine Readable Passport.Every citizen from now on have to use this passport for visiting other country.

From 01 April 2010 the Government of Bangladesh has introduced Machine Readable Passport (MRP) and Machine Readable Visa (MRV). Application for MRP can only be made in ten designated regional passport offices in Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, Sylhet, Comilla, Rajshahi, Barishal, Rangpur, Jessore and Gopalgonj.

It is really a good and big news for all of Bangladeshi Citizen.That our GOVT. took this step to give us MRP(machine-readable passport).Because without this we cant travel other country in future.

Bangladesh's chance of meeting the international deadline to introduce machine-readable passport (MRP) and machine-readable visa (MRV) on April 1, 2010 looks bleak as the government is yet to choose a company for implementing the project.

Bangladesh could not finalise the project due to frequent change of decisions. Steps to introduce MRP and MRV originally began 12 years ago. Several strong quarters comprising politicians and businessmen have been in a race to grab the financial benefit out of the multi-million-dollar project, virtually delaying introduction of MRP and MRV.

Switzerland Visa Requirements For Bangladeshi Citizen

1) Nationals of Bangladesh who are travelling to Europe for commercial or tourist purposes can obtain a visa for a maximum stay of 90 days within a period of six months (single entry or multiple entries), valid for all above mentioned countries. In cases of multiple entries the days of every stay will be added up. In these cases the maximum stay of 90 days within a period of six months may not be exceeded.

2) A visa application does not give the right to actually obtain a visa.

3) In principle, changing of travel destination after obtaining the visa is not allowed. At the moment of issuance of the visa, information about possible extension can be provided.

4) In Bangladesh, travellers can obtain a common visa at the diplomatic missions listed below. If the main destination (according to travel purposes and duration of stay) is situated in one of the above mentioned countries please apply at the Embassy of that country. If it is not possible to determine in which country the main destination is situated, the Schengen Member State of first entry into the Schengen territory is competent for issuance of the visa.

5) Bangladeshi visa applicants have to present the following documents: One (1) application form (fill out all headings, front and back, using capital letters. Yourapplication shall not be processed in case of error or omission. You have to date and sign the application.)

2 recent colour photographs (full face, no dark glasses, no head covering, plain white

background only)

Valid passport (the validity of the passport has to exceed the end of the proposed trip by at

For transit visa: - Valid visas for all other countries of destination after leaving the Schengen territory. - Confirmed reservation of flight - For first time travellers: Complete business papers (see above) - For transit traveller is no Travel Health Insurance required
For medical treatment: Visa applicants who wish to go to Europe for medical treatment have to present: - A medical certificate issued by treating medical doctor in Bangladesh - Written confirmation of appointment with a hospital or medical doctor in Switzerland and information regarding the estimated payment and duration of the treatment - Proof of sufficient financial means for payment of medical expenses (proof of advance payment) Minors: - Minors have to present a written authorization of their parents or the guardian under whose custody they are. - If parents or guardian are not present at the embassy copies of their passports have to be submitted. If passports are not available a sworn affidavit has to be presented. Non-Bangladeshi nationals: Visa applicants who are not Bangladeshi nationals have to present the same documents as listed under 5), and additionally: - Bangladeshi residence permit and re-entry visa into Bangladesh valid for at least 3 months after the expiry date of the Schengen visa.

INDONESIA Visa Requirements for Bangladeshi Citizen

Effective February 01, 2004, Indonesia will introduce wide ranging changes in the national visa-free and visa on arrival system. We've tried to summarize those changes here for your convenience.
Visa Free on Arrival In the past the nationals of 48 nations were given a 60-day stay (visa free) upon arrival at an Indonesian international gateway. Under the new rules effective February 1, 2004: Only 11 countries and territories will be eligible for a facility, they are: Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei Darussalam, Philippines, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Chile, Morocco, Peru and Vietnam

Nationals of the aforementioned countries and territories will be issued with a 30-day stay permit without charge upon presentation of a valid passport with 6 months remaining validity.

The Visa Free Facility is not extendable or convertible into another type of visa.

Visa on Arrival
As of August 01, 2005, the nationals of 36 countries will be able to obtain a "Visa on Arrival" processed at the gate of entry following the payment of an official fee.

The citizens of 36 countries and territories eligible to purchase visas on arrival are: the United States, Australia, Austria, South Africa, Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Egypt, Finland, India, Ireland, Kuwait, Luxembourg, Maldives, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, United Arab Emirates, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Germany, South Korea, Norway, France, Poland, Switzerland, New Zealand, and Taiwan.

The citizens of the aforementioned countries must hold a passport with at least 6 months remaining validity at the time of arrival, present a completed embarkation/disembarkation card provided by the airlines, be able to demonstrate they have sufficient means to live during their stay in Indonesia, not be listed on any official blacklist of individuals prohibited from entering the country, and pay the stipulated fee to obtain a visa.

The Visa on Arrival fee for citizens of eligible countries is US$ 25 for a 30 day visa and US$ 10 for a 7 day visa.

The Visa on Arrival is non-extendable and cannot be converted into another class of visa.

Immigration authorities promise the visa purchasing system will take no more than 3-5 minutes per applicant. 6 payment counters, a bank and a money changer have been set up to process payments.

Once payment is completed the tourist will proceed to an immigration counter for final inspection of documents and visa issuance.

Citizens of the following countries receive a 30 day visa free of charge: Brunei, Chile, Hong Kong, Macao, Morocco, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

Visa on Arrival at Limited Gateways
The visa on arrival facility will only be available at the following international gateways:

Airports: Medan, Pekanbaru, Padang, Jakarta, Surabaya, Bali and Manado.

Seaports: Batam, Tanjung Uban (Bintan), Belawan (Medan), Sibolga (Sumatra), Dumai, Teluk Bayar (Padang, Sumatra), Padang Bai (Bali), and Jayapura (Papua).

Applying for Visas Before Arrival
Citizens of countries not included on a visa-free or visa-on-arrival lists must apply for a visa overseas before arriving in Indonesia. Citizens of any country wishing to stay more than 30 days must also apply for an appropriate visa at their nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate before travelling to Indonesia.

Special Facilities
A certain number of special facilities are being introduced in connection with the new visa policy, including:

Passengers who overstay their visa period for a short period of time can be processed immediately at the airport by paying US$ 20 for every day they "overstayed" their 30 day visa.

Airlines that experience technical difficulties or delayed flights can apply for their passengers to be exempted from paying any "overstay" penalties.

Within the category of Visitor Visa there are 4 classes of visitor visas:

Business Visas typically issued to business people on short term work assignments, negotiations, or training assignments.

Greece Visa Requirement For Bangladesh and Overseas Citizen

VISAS Required by all except the following:
(a) nationals of the countries referred to in the chart above for a period of up to 90 days;
(b) nationals of Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Brunei, Bulgaria, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Honduras, Hong Kong (SAR) (blue and red passport holders), Iceland, Israel, Korea (Rep), Liechtenstein, Macau (SAR), Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Switzerland, Uruguay, Vatican City and Venezuela for up to 90 days;
(c) those continuing their journey to a third country within 48 hours provided holding tickets with reserved seats and other documents for their onward journey except: nationals of Afghanistan, Angola, Bangladesh, Congo (Dem Rep), Eritrea, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Iran, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syrian Arab Republic and Turkey who always need a visa, even if transiting by the same aircraft.
Application requirements:
(a) Passport or travel document valid for at least three months after expiry date of visa, with blank pages to affix visa, showing valid Residence Permit. (b) Completed application form (signed by legal guardian in case of minors). (c) Two recent passport-size photos. (d) Fee (payable in cash or postal order only). (e) Return or onward ticket (necessary for transit and airport transit visas, which also require a visa for onward country to be submitted, if applicable) or proof of booking/itinerary from travel agent, both original and photocopy. If visiting friends or relatives, a letter duly certified by a police station in Greece must be submitted. (f) Proof of sufficient funds to cover stay (bank statement or travellers cheques). (g) Proof of reason for visit; a letter of reference from employer detailing wages, and letter of invitation from Greek company for business trips; a letter from school for school trip. If self-employed, a letter from a solicitor or an accountant. (h) Original and photocopy of proof of travel insurance to cover intended stay in Greece. (i) Transport documentation, eg air ticket, confirmed ferry booking or, if driving, registration document, proof of legal ownership of vehicle and insurance certificate. (j) Those who claim visas in the UK and live more than 200 miles from London do not have to collect their visas in person at the London Embassy but may supply a Special Delivery self-addressed envelope instead.

Note: Applications can be made in person only. Appointments must be made through the automated booking service for those residing in the UK and in the vicinity of London (tel: (09065) 540 744). A limited number of visas are issued each day on a first-come, first-served basis. All documents must be submitted both in their original form and with photocopy.

Thailand Tourist Visa For Bangaldeshi Citizen

A Tourist Visa is issued to applicants who wish to enter Thailand for the purpose of tourism.

Documents Required:
The applicants must submit the following relevant documents, depending on the purpose of their visit:

Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months from the time of application.
One set of passport photocopy page 1-5 & renewal page if any.
2 sets of visa application form completely filled in with original sign as per passport

China Visa Requirements For Bangladeshi Citizen

According to the new arrangement made by the Immigration Department of the HKSAR, from December 11, 2006, nationals of Bangladesh must have a visa to enter the HKSAR for any purposes, such as direct transit (not go out of airport), ordinary transit (go out of airport) and visit.

1.The following Bangladeshis are still exempted from visa to enter the HKSAR:
A. Diplomatic/service (official) passport holders are free of a visa for a stay up to 14 days.
B. United Nations Laissez Passport holders go to Hong Kong or transit Hong Kong to/from a third place for official purposes.
C. Operating aircrew and operating seaman in work go to Hong Kong.

2. The following Bangladeshis including their accompanying spouse and children can apply for Visit Visa for a stay up to 14 days and Single-Entry or Double-Entry Transit Visa for a stay up to 7 days.
A. Government officials holding ordinary passport
B. Celebrities in Bangladeshi society and business circles
C. Employees of famous large-scale enterprise in Bangladesh, including multinational companies, international airlines and shipping enterprises, financial entities, banks, insurance entities and foreign representative in Bangladesh. Moreover, they are required to show the Certificate Letter (go to Hong Kong for Business) issued by their company.

3. The other Bangladeshi citizens should directly post their applications to the Immigration Department of the HKSAR. Its address is Floor 6, Immigration Tower, No.7 Gloucester Road, Wan Chai, Hong Kong.

Malaysia Visa Requirements For Bangladeshi Passport Holder

USCIS announced it continues to accept H-1B nonimmigrant visa petitions subject to the fiscal year 2010 (FY 2010) cap. USCIS will continue to monitor the number of H-1B petitions received for both the 65,000 regular cap and the 20,000 U.S. master’s degree or higher educational exemption cap.

Should USCIS receive the necessary number of petitions to meet the respective caps, it will issue an update to advise the public that, as of a certain date (the “final receipt date”), the respective FY 2010 H-1B caps have been met. The final receipt date will be based on the date USCIS physically receives the petition, not the date that the petition is postmarked. The date or dates USCIS informs the public that the respective caps have been reached may differ from the actual final receipt date.

To ensure a fair system, USCIS may randomly select the number of petitions required to reach the numerical limit from the petitions received as of the final receipt date. USCIS will reject cap subject petitions that are not selected, as well as those received after the final receipt date.

Petitions filed on behalf of current H-1B workers, who have been counted previously against the cap, will not count toward the congressionally mandated FY 2010 H-1B cap.

Therefore, USCIS will continue to process petitions filed to:

Extend the amount of time a current H-1B worker may remain in the United States.

Membership in associations in the field which demand outstanding achievement of their members;
Published material about the alien in professional or major trade publications or other major media;
Evidence that the alien has judged the work of others, either individually or on a panel;
Evidence of the alien's original scientific, scholarly, artistic, athletic, or business-related contributions of major significance to the field;
Evidence of the alien's authorship of scholarly articles in professional or major trade publications or other major media;
Evidence that the alien's work has been displayed at artistic exhibitions or showcases;
Performance of a leading or critical role in distinguished organizations;
Evidence that the alien commands a high salary or other significantly high remuneration in relation to others in the field;
Evidence of commercial successes in the performing arts.

Outstanding professors and researchers are recognized internationally for their outstanding academic achievements in a particular field. In addition, an outstanding professor or researcher must have at least three years experience in teaching or research in that academic area, and enter the U.S. in a tenure or tenure track teaching or comparable research position at a university or other institution of higher education. If the employer is a private company rather that a university or educational institution, the department, division, or institute of the private employer must employ at least three persons full time in research activities and have achieved documented accomplishments in an academic field.

Evidence that the professor or researcher is recognized as outstanding in the academic field must include documentation of at least two of the following:

Receipt of major prizes or awards for outstanding achievement;
Membership in associations that require their members to demonstrate outstanding achievements;
Published material in professional publications written by others about the alien's work in the academic field;
Participation, either on a panel or individually, as a judge of the work of others in the same or allied academic field;
Original scientific or scholarly research contributions in the field;
Authorship of scholarly books or articles (in scholarly journals with international circulation) in the field.

Some executives and managers of foreign companies who are transferred to the U.S. may qualify. A multinational manager or executive is eligible for priority worker status if he or she has been employed outside the U.S. in the three years preceding the petition for at least one year by a firm or corporation and seeks to enter the U.S to continue service to that firm or organization. The employment must have been outside the United States in a managerial or executive capacity and with the same employer, an affiliate, or a subsidiary of the employer.

The petitioner must be a U.S. employer, doing business for at least one year, that is an affiliate, a subsidiary, or the same employer as the firm, corporation or other legal entity that employed the foreign national abroad. Definitions of terms relevant to this EB-1 category are found in 8 CFR § 204.5.

Such applicants do not have to have a specific job offer so long as they are entering the U.S. to continue work in the field in which they have extraordinary ability. Such applicants can file their own petition with the USCIS, rather than through an employer;

Outstanding professors and researchers with at least three years experience in teaching or research, who are recognized internationally. No labor certification is required for this classification, but the prospective employer must provide a job offer and file a petition with the USCIS; and

Certain executives and managers who have been employed at least one of the three preceding years by the overseas affiliate, parent, subsidiary, or branch of the U.S. employer. The applicant must be coming to work in a managerial or executive capacity. No labor certification is required for this classification, but the prospective employer must provide a job offer and file a petition with the USCIS.

Employment Second Preference (E2)

Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees, or Persons of Exceptional Ability in the Arts, Sciences, or Business receive 28.6 percent of the yearly worldwide limit, plus any unused Employment First Preference visas. All Second Preference applicants must have a labor certification approved by the DOL, or Schedule A designation, or establish that they qualify for one of the shortage occupations in the Labor Market Information Pilot Program (later). A job offer is required and the U.S. employer must file a petition on behalf of the applicant. Aliens may apply for exemption from the job offer and labor certification if the exemption would be in the national interest, in which case the alien may file the petition, Form I-140, along with evidence of the national interest. There are two subgroups within this category:

Professionals holding an advanced degree (beyond a baccalaureate degree), or a baccalaureate degree and at least five years progressive experience in the profession; and

Persons with exceptional ability in the arts, sciences, or business. Exceptional ability means having a degree of expertise significantly above that ordinarily encountered within the field
