Introducing the GreenExperience.net Green Widget!

So, chances are pretty good that if you’re reading this, you’re a fellow blogger. One thing that you may or may not be aware of is that by blogging on a regular basis, you’re actually helping the environment tremendously!

You see, blogs started out (and many still remain this way) as a way for people to electronically jot down thoughts, opinions, rants, reviews, and anything else they had on their mind. Instead of writing it on paper, or submitting it to traditional newspapers, blogs (technically, “weblogs”) allow pretty much anyone in the world to put the same stuff in a digital format, which did two things:

Those thoughts, opinions, rants, etc… were now available for the world to see and comment on.

It saved tons and tons of paper directly and indirectly.

By keeping notes, blog entries, and everything else in a digital format, the use of paper was cut back drastically, which is a movement you can definitely call “green”.

Perhaps you’re a blogger who deeply cares about the environment and current events in the energy world, or maybe you blog about something else altogether. Whatever it is you enjoy, we all have a common goal, and that is to preserve the Earth as best as we can, and show off our efforts in the process!

If you want to show off to the world how many pounds of paper you’ve saved by writing online, then you need to quickly download our cool “green” widget that will show exactly that. Depending on how many posts, comments, and pages you have on your wordpress powered blog, the GreenExperience.net green widget will calculate (based on technical research) how many pounds of actual paper you’ve saved. Pretty cool, right? We think so.

So without further delay, why don’t you download the latest and greatest in green widgets. When you think about all the trees being saved, which offset carbon emissions, it’s a staggering number (considering that there are an estimated 70 million bloggers in this world of ours).

Click the link below to download the plugin/widget:

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/how-green-are-you/

Never knew you were a tree-hugger, huh? (or maybe you did…)

There are a lot of cleaning products on the market being advertised everyday, coupled with the assurance of providing superior sanitizing ability; what these products mostly fall short on is the concept of manufacturing an outcome that does not only provide efficient hygienic power but a green item for consumption. This Clorox Green Works Product Review will provide you with a good view point of what it is truly made of, made for and how this cleansing solution provides an excellent way of sanitizing specific areas in the house and contributes to saving the environment in general.

Clorox Green Works contains 99% all organic and natural components leaving only a percentage to Kathon, Bright Yellow X and Milliken Liquitint Blue H. These are considered un-natural substances used as a major element in the cleaning power provided by Clorox Green Works product. However, this percentage also created controversy specifically for those people who have been committed to being green. The hullabaloo revolves around the use of a meager percentage of un-natural substance instead of making it an all natural and organically made products.

Clorox Green Works product is one of those cleansing products in the market that provides its consumers an efficient solution in combating microbes, greasy matters coming from cooked foods, stains, grimes and dusts. Nonetheless, distinctiveness falls on Clorox Green Works’ focus on providing its consumers a clean glass, kitchen, and bathroom surface with a touch of eco-friendliness.

This plant based cleansing solution boost its lines of products that makes dishwashing, kitchen, bathroom and glass cleaning easy to transform into a more sanitized and hygienic spot. This also has intense and concentrated components while some Green Works products necessitate the use of water prior to usage. What makes it even more efficient is the fact that it can be thinned to 1:24 water solution retaining its effectiveness.

Purchasing cleaning products requires a careful consideration of its content factors as some would claim that they are all-natural products only to find out that Petrochemicals and Glycol Ether have smaller portions on the products being sold. To avoid these kinds of harmful chemicals, reading the label as well as the contents is necessary in ensuring that what you got is what the product truly attests. Never fall for false testimonials, they can deceive and at times can lead you to believing in the product without giving it a try.

The Clorox Green Works product is hydrochloric acid, bleach and chlorine free, these three compounds are the main ingredients found in most cleansers in the market. You should steer clear of these substances as it does not provide good effects at all. This makes the green works product more favorable than those found in the market.

This Clorox Green Works product review is considered a helpful tool in coming across a cleanser that allows you to meet the demands of cleaning your place whilst providing a major contribution in your own little way in saving the environment that is on the verge of losing its charm, resources and beauty.

Bookworms who never let a day pass without reading a book will agree to the statement, the more books you have greater knowledge you acquire through reading. For green lovers and those people who have spent their earnest commitment and dedication to saving the environment will agree to the statement, the more books you have the better, yet using the library instead of buying books is the best thing you can do to show your love and respect not just to the knowledge you can obtain from reading books but also to the natural environment that has provided greater necessities knowledge cannot simply equate.

Using the library instead of buying books should be a practice that most people should turn themselves to if they want to become a part of a green generation. Books will no longer be printed out for mass production rather be of use to a public library is a good way of saving trees from becoming rare genus. Yes, if cutting of trees will continue to evolve and progress, you will wake up one day with no books to read as trees have gone through lesser numbers by the day.

If you will try to peruse and pay particular attention to the fact that using a library can provide greater advantages than buying a book of your own, you will come to realize that as you save a tree, you also created an avenue to further learning. Libraries have millions of good books to read, your house only has a fraction of these tons of books, the library has wider selections varying from one topic to another, your house definitely has not, the library makes more room for research whereas your house only has limited lines for exploration.

Although this concept would create diverse concerns and definitely opposing views, it is never been a wrong move to save the environment through simple acts that can lead to greater outcome in the future. The level of consciousness and awareness of people should be changed in a way that they will see through things far beyond what they perceive things should be.

When you use a library instead of purchasing books, you also save time and money. You save riches as books are presently priced comparable to food expenditures. Thus, instead of buying a book, might as well have these funds saved for basic necessities and use the library instead. When you buy a book, all the sources of information are not always enclosed in those hard bound copies, adequate knowledge are not always printed on those volumes and not all stories are shared in a mere black and white.

To put it briefly, using the library instead of buying books establishes a different kind of learning that a mere purchase of a book does not suffice. You need to have supporting ideas and sources that will only come from varieties of books to use. This might be easier said than done but just imagine how learning is transformed into something economical, practical and green.

If the transition is slow, then there will be too insignificant an impact on climate change to make a real difference. In order to accomplish this goal, increased investment is required in the renewable energy sector, specifically from the Federal government.

Fuel prices have become an important issue in the past year, with prices exceeding four dollars per gallon in some parts of the country. Although prices have gone down recently, it is inevitable that they will return to their higher levels. Many people cannot even afford to go to work, and are looking for options to alleviate their expense travels.

Water for gas is becoming an increasingly popular way to increase gas mileage. Several guides have popped up on the Internet that detail step-by-step instructions for how to install an electrolysis system in your car. The mechanism works by separating the hydrogen and oxygen components of water (creating HHO gas), and using the hydrogen as a supplement to gas. Technology is not advanced enough to utilize water as the only source of fuel, but a mix of water and gas works superbly. An electrolysis system’s primary purpose is to increase the efficiency of an engine, as the majority of burned gas is actually wasted. Having HHO present enables the engine to burn small fuel particles that usually go unused, thus greatly improving performance.

Better gas mileage is not the only benefit of a water system. You will notice that your car runs smoother, operates more effectively, and emits fewer pollutants. So not only are you saving money, but you are helping the environment as well. Despite these advantages, purchasing a water kit can be expensive, and once you get it, it can be difficult to install. One can always pay a mechanic to do the installation for them, but that is an added expense. To decide if a water system is right for you, you should roughly calculate the costs of fuel over the next few years to the cost of the system, and see whether you ultimately save money or not.

Biofuels are a promising way of reducing a country’s dependence on foreign oil and becoming more energy independent. They are the perfect example of renewable energy, as to get more biofuel, all you have to do is grow more plants, or any source of carbon. Many countries around the world are supportive of this renewable energy, and as there are so many sources of biofuel, researchers are still trying to figure out which one can work the best.

What distinguishes biofuels from fossil fuels, which are also carbon sources, is that mass used to make the biofuel comes from recently dead biological material, as opposed to fossil fuels which come from matter that was millions of years old. All that burning fossil fuels does is release carbon back in to the atmosphere, which is bad for the planet. When you grow plants for biofuel, they remove carbon dioxide from the environment, and although they release it when burned, there is theoretically no net increase in environmental carbon dioxide. Due to the fact that there are more factors than simply the removal and release of carbon dioxide, in practice, there often is a carbon gain of some sort, but smaller than petroleum.

Ethanol, one of the most popular biofuels, is made primarily from corn. Ethanol is synthesized by depriving the starch in corn of oxygen, thereby inducing yeast fermentation, which converts sugars into energy. One of the waste products of this conversion is ethanol. However, the energy used to convert corn into ethanol is almost the same as the energy gained from ethanol, making corn-based ethanol a quite inefficient biofuel. Since it is produced on such a large scale, the energy gains are sufficiently measurable, but higher efficiency is desperately needed. As scientists research applications of biofuels further, their feasibility will grow proportionally.

This law was implemented last month and it is estimated that it will affect about 35,000 companies in the country.

The law states that any company that engages in potentially hazardous and damaging activities will have to buy insurance to cover any environmental damage they may cause in an accident etc.

This law is an extremely important piece of legislation, as it means that if an accident does happen, hopefully the damage to the environment in the long term will be nil. It also means that if companies don’t want to be hit with extreme insurance premiums, they will try their utmost to implement procedures and policies to decrease the likely of causing an environmentally unfriendly accident.

I take my hat off to the Argentinian officials and I do hope that the rest of the governments follow suit with similar pieces of legislation.

If global warming is allowed to continue at its current pace, we could see catastrophic consequences within our lifetimes. In the worst case scenario, nations will be forced to fight over goods usually taken for granted, like food, water, and fuel. We will also experience violent hurricanes, floods, and the loss of coastal regions and islands. Therefore, it is imperative that we fix this problem now, before it is too late.

The American government has been generally unsupportive of anti-global warming measures for years, but in the past year, opinions on the matter have began to change and Congress is pushing out meaningful legislation, such as the Global Warming Pollution Reduction Act, which has the aim of cutting greenhouse gas emissions by eighty percent in the next forty years.

Not only will fighting global warming ensure our survival, but doing so is actually good for the economy and the standard of living. Investing heavily in green, renewable technology can create millions of high-paying jobs, and allow us to easily reach our emissions goals. With the support of the Federal government and private investors, innovations are emerging constantly.

Much of the battle has to do with energy efficiency. By renovating old, inefficient buildings and installing the latest technology, efficiency can be increased by almost fifty percent. The general American public can also do its part by conserving energy at home, which is made easier by the plethora of EnergyStar products available.

One of the biggest sources of pollution is vehicles, especially large SUVs and trucks. Automobile manufacturers have become re-inspired in developing fully electric and gas-free cars, so that hopefully in the future, we will not even need traditional gas. While electric cars seem futuristic, there are actually quite a few models on the market today that run perfectly fine.

Electric cars are a promising, emerging form of transportation, as they release no emissions and do not require traditional fuel. While electric vehicles have been around for over one hundred years, they are not widespread or hugely popular due to their limitations. Currently, the majority of electric cars have low top speeds and can only travel a short distance before needing charging. There are a few models that can reach speeds of over one hundred miles per hour and travel two hundred miles before needing to recharge. As innovation continues in this field, it is hoped that electric vehicles will reach the capabilities that traditional gas-powered vehicles have.

As opposed to an internal combustion engine, electric cars use electric motors powered by rechargeable batteries. The recharge process involves plugging in the car to an outlet and waiting between a few hours to overnight for the car to completely “fuel.” Since electricity is so much cheaper than gas, the approximate cost would work out to just a few cents per mile.

Some advanced electric models have already been released, such as the Tesla Roadster. It is an electric sports car that can travel almost two hundred fifty miles on a single charge, reach speeds of one hundred thirty five miles per hour, and accelerate from zero to sixty in about four seconds. The Roadster is a perfect example of how effective and practical electrical cars can become, with the proper research and dedication. There is still a long way to go, but as technology evolves, electric cars will improve in efficiency and perhaps one day eliminate the need for gas powered vehicles.
