I’m a huge fan of Kate D’Arcy’s work for Toggery, this organic cotton top specifically. I love the simplicity, the color, the style - it’s perfection with a pair of jeans or denim pencil skirt. It would also look great with an a-line skirt and wedge sandals.

Olio United Trunk Show: Spotlight on Bahar Shahpar

The New York designer in the trunk show is Bahar Shahpar, a sustainable designer for three years. I am always impressed by her prints and use of colors - My two favorite pieces by Bahar are the shoplifter skirt in this GORGEOUS teal color, and the dress in a speckled organic cotton print.

Olio United Trunk Show: Spotlight on Form & Fauna Vegan Shoes

Vegan shoes are getting easier to find all the time (especially online), but vegan AND cute shoes - not so much. They’re out there, but I still think a lot of the larger vegan/eco-friendly shoe lines (Payless, Simple, etc.) design more for function than for fun, and therefore neglect a large part of their potential market: the vegan woman who loves fashion (like me - and maybe you!).

Not so, Form and Fauna. Designed by a former yoga instructor, Form and Fauna shoes are as fashion-friendly as they are eco-friendly. Produced in the US, all the shoes are made from sustainable materials and the highest quality synthetics. No wonder they’re consistently featured as one of the better eco-footwear companies today!

I love this line of organic cotton hand printed (with eco-friendly dyes) tees by Andira at Red Envy Boutique - the design is so beautiful, it looks like a watercolor painting:

I first fell in love with Emily Katz after seeing her “classic” blue raincoat at an online eco-boutique several years ago. Since then, I’ve followed her collections obsessively, always waiting to see what she does next. Her contemporary, casual vibe is right up my alley, and I love that she works mostly in super-comfy fleece-y/sweatshirt-y materials (what I like to live in!).

My FAVORITE item in the trunk show is this “men swear” jacket in a yummy organic cotton/bamboo blend:

I know I’ve mentioned before my love for SWANDiamondRose handbags, but it wasn’t until just this second I found out she makes clothes too! and they’re SOOOOO adorable.

All of her items are handmade, and most from vintage or thrifted fabrics. And she creates her clothing in up to size XL! I am absolutely dying for this dress (the skirt’s not so bad either, but OMG, the dress!!!)
