I'm a fan of this man named, ITO KISH. The first time I saw his work was back in college and was amazed by its simplicity yet intelligent design. Since then, I subscribe to his newsletter via email and got my dose of his creativity. Thank God really for Twitter as you can connect and share everything in a snap but I just found out yesterday that I haven't followed Mr.Kish. Pfff such a loser. LOL He replied to my tweets and it made my day! Haha ;)

I promised myself to at least loose some weight and so far it's been driving me crazy not eating rice. I mean common. LOL It's been a week of cutting down my rice intake and I don't know if I'll last until Sunday. Hahha FIGHTING!!!

Bored with work and inexperience wannabes taking over...I came home last night feeling empty... handed. LOL :O It was like an impulsive act for me to bring something or anything since October. I have been dealing with so much pressure with work so buying stuff (like accent pieces, Christmas decors and even groceries) makes me happy. I guess I just have to keep my purse hidden. Purse talga!? :) Good thing we still have some leftovers from our family reunions! LOL

Decided to lounge around in CVSxHMG shirt while listening to Kaskade.

Dinner!!! Holiday left overs are the best. Mom's chicken, Tuna Pasta and Ratatouille. Good Luck!

Times like the Holidays can really make you wonder around your room and so I did... After seeing Proudrace Leopard shortsleeve shirt on Nix Alanon on Rajo's blog... I thought I can make the sleeves into another shirt. Haha ;O Sorry Proudrace but I'm pretty sure you'll love what I did. ;)

Our vintage sewing machine...I never had the nerve to run it...Im scared. O.O

I asked my cousin to sew it on one of my black shirts...

HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone! I would just like to greet everybody a beautiful 2012. I just hope that everything and everyone will be well this year! FIGHTING!!!!

Anyhoo, I would just like to share this beautiful place that me and my friend Doy experienced before New Year's Eve. The place is called IZAKAYA KIKUFUJI in Little Tokyo in Makati. It was my first time and came in with a lot of expectation because I LOVE Japanese food and it didn't fail me. The only bad thing is we came in late and we have to order one hour prior to closing. Pfff.

Doy reserved us some seats and we were surprised to have this private room just for us smokers LOL.

GOLD DOT launches its HOLIDAY Collection with a lookbook entitled, AUTOMATON. The collection is very much inspired by industrial elements and hardware. Machinery turned killer shoes is LOVE! This is one of my favorite from the young brand.

As you know, fashion blogger superstar, Karl Leuterio joined the label few months ago to help Ally Duazo (owner) to produce some mind blowing designs! Kudos to the team, Edrick Bruel, Mike Magallanes for producing a BALENCIAGA-esque look book and Ria Bolivar is Ria Bolivar! :)

Christmas is fast approaching...I'm kind of half excited. I just wish that my day job would slow down with regards their job orders. I'm not happy Hahah! :O Anyhoo, Last Saturday was BLOGGER's UNITED Bazaar and of course my fashionable friends were present and I have to drop by for support! ;) And support I did...I brought home another DON PROTASIO piece from his last PFW entry and SOULE PHENOMENON's SANDRA wedges!!! MIADORE CZAR Holiday Series 2011

It has been like 3 months and three weeks to be exact since I started making and conceptualizing this series. To be honest this series was not even meant for the House of Laurel but for a commissioned project that I will be sharing with all of you once it's final and real! :) I was overjoyed when HOL announced their Russian inspired Holiday collection... and I was delighted since the last was pretty much the opposite of my aesthetic. It was an amazing feeling playing with colors once again. I sort of miss the sparkly materials... LOL.

Anyhoo, I'm so honored and happy to present to all of you my full collection of the CZAR Series for the HOUSE of LAUREL's RUSSE Holiday collection.

The series is composed of very easy type of accessories since I'm pretty sure that Rajo will be doing a lot of textures and I was right. The collection was splendid and a breath of fresh air after the monotonous Androgyny. My pieces just add a little more "oomph" to his fabulous pieces.

The series was called CZAR because I was smitten by the first thing that came to my mind which is POWER! The inspiration came from the intricate and rich history of Russia and it's fascinating architecture. The collection is primarily consists of oversize crystals and colliers and notice how I lessen my use of the wired technique. I just felt I need to grow and balance it every series.

The first 11 were sent to House of Laurel to complete their look book for the collection. I'm so happy of what Rajo texted me and felt so relieved that it fits perfectly to his theme. I can't stop smiling... :) So basically this batch is more restrained in terms of colors. I used more subtle and subdued tones for the materials.

A month ago, I receive this wonderful news of yet another beautiful collaboration. Rajo is unstoppable in sharing his passion and really thankful for letting us experience his keen eye for design. It comes to no suprise that business giants like SM sought out the help of this wonderful designer to come up with a limited edition for their in-house shoe brand PARISIAN. Last week was the launch and of course, I have to be there! :)

PFW : DESIGN FUSION / VISIONS & TRENDS

So after forever and a lifetime... I unfortunately attended a day for Fashion Week since is starting to get crazy in my area. I even took another leave of absence just to watch the show. With this, season's line-up I was pretty amazed with everything the designers presented. From Dax Bayani's polished mini-dresses made from raw textiles and natural fabrics which were chemically untreated and cut in form-hugging silhouettes, to Jot Losa's full blown romantic spin on abaca and leatherette and Jaki Peñalosa's pleated and sheared hand-woven abaca in metallic gunmetal but this three stood out for me... Regine Dulay, Bo Parcon and Xernan Orticio.

Bo Parcon is one designer who I always makes time to watch his shows. This season is no exception from being lame and normal. His highly textured white ensembles made up for the rich patterned line-up from his last show. The fringed/stringed cotton frocks and shirts were breathtaking as they walk down the runway. Accessorized with tons of rosaries also in white, Bo's collection is far from clinical.

It feels so good to have creative friends. My friend, Nicole Puentevella, brainchild of Soule Phenomenon collaborated with OS to create this amazing booties for Bo! I'm ordering one! Hah!

The cotton fringe makes a very interesting edgy take on a 20's frock don't you think?!

And lastly, Xernan Orticio. Known for his precise and clean aesthetic, the young designer presented yet another very sleek and modern ensemble with origami as his inspiration. The future is bright for Xernan and I'm sure of that.

Creating this collection was like giving birth to a new child.

Found this glitzy leopard print chiffon fabric in Divisoria and I immediately bought like 5yards. Didn't know where would I used it but I guess I can let go of such cheap but fabulous find! For only P15/yard... It's a no-brainer! LOL. SUPER LOOOOVE IT! Here, I wore it with a chain used as a strap and tied a knot to achieve a sexy neckline. Achieve!? Sorry for abusing photoshop yet again... Hahah ^^,

MIADORE x PARADIGM SHIFT

Last weekend was filled with nothing but fun and business!!! Together with my friends, Nicole Puentevella of SOULE PHENOMENON, AJ Omandac and Paul Jatayna of OS, Mike Magallanes and Karl Leuterio of Paradigm Shift and JP Singson of Unisex, we joined a bazaar in Rockwell called A Trendsetter's Bazaar. We decided to come up with a curated booth mostly and mainly in B&W, edgy and androgynous pieces. Super excited with it since I just released my newest collection, X, which I think fits their discriminating eye. Super love our three day sale and it was a good feeling making money with friends! LOL! :)

CHIAROSCURO : W by Rajo Laurel

The collection is called CHIAROSCURO, which is an Italian word for playing with darkness and light. The whole collection is predominantly neutral with a strong emphasis on the grey tone. I do have some colors but they are muted tones of blue and plum. I have incorporated my love of gross grain ribbon in the collection and you can see this as a strong design element. There is also a very masculine take on blocking as I cut up the patterns of the jackets, shirts and even pants with these slices that make the clothes so much more interesting. I also love the faux suspenders on the items giving it a nerdy but cool touch which appeals strongly to my sensibilities.

Rajo Laurel continues to share his idea of what real men should be wearing by presenting yet another interesting collection for Wharton.

I'm loving the use of neon colors to highlight the garment! ^^,

Teaming this time with yet another couple, Enzo Mondejar did the photography and Eric Poliquit on styling. It features simple shirts with fine details, pipings on pockets & sleeves, faux suspenders and a little bit of Mondrian effect with the pattern to give a little bit of oomph to an ordinary shirt.

The first batch will be released in all major SM department stores this October 10.

It's been a while...

Last weekend was a beautiful and much needed one for me! Thank you Lord for being able to at least rest my head from everything that has been happening right now. Anyways, I finally saw my room again after forever of not sleeping in it...finally get to clean it, change the curtains and bedding... also threw some unwanted stuff. In the process of devouring one's cluttered closet, I found my sketches from my highschool and college!!! Hahah I was laughing the whole time seeing them again. LOL This is a testament to another passion of mine which is illustration! Enjoy ze photos as much as I did ;)

I'm also a huge fan of the comic world. I've been collecting them since elementary and now I don't have any idea of their whereabouts :/ I'm a fan of Michael Turner (FATHOM), J.Scott Campbell (DANGER GIRL), Joe Madureira (BATTLE CHASERS) and Alex Ross! My teenage years has been very colourful not gender wise but it was full of ideas that has contributed to where I am now.

Last Wednesday, one of my dearest friends, Rommel came back from Australia for a three week vacation! I was so excited to see him after 6years! He immediately messaged everyone for a nightout and of course how can we say no. ;) The rain didn't stop us in meeting him and it seems just like yesterday that we're in our school uniform. LOL okay pardon me for I just love this person to bits!!! Photos taken by Reg!

We had a lovely meal at ClawDaddy. One thing I miss with Rommel is his laugh... brings me back to our teenage years ;)

So Rommel wanted to go clubbing so we brought him to the newly renovated BED Manila!
