In a recent column someone supposedly wrote in to ask what to do about their 13-year-old son, who was caught “practicing” kissing with his 4 1/2 year old sister. Their advice is a shockingly blase shrugging off of troubling child sexual abuse. I will reprint their response in it’s entirety:

If this was a one–time practice for a first time kiss with his same-age girlfriend, it does not seem to be something that is very concerning, although certainly still offers an opportunity for some healthy sexual development and healthy boundary education with your son. Knowing him as well as you obviously do, does his explanation make sense to you and seem plausible?

Have you noticed any other concerning behaviors in your son? Have there been any other sexual behaviors between your children? I would encourage you to take a look at the Signs That a Child or Teen May Be At-Risk to Harm Another Child. Look especially for patterns in the behaviors, behaviors that you’ve tried to redirect before that keep coming up.  A single sign is not necessarily meaningful, but seeing a group of them could be concerning and call for follow-up.

Even if you do believe that this is an isolated incident, please still consider addressing any concerns that may come up about how your son may have gotten his little sister to participate in this behavior. These questions may help you to further assess your son’s behavior and this incident:

Did he threaten or bribe his sister to get her to kiss him?
Did she try to refuse to participate?
What’s your daughter’s presentation? Did she seem scared? Or did she seem more pleased that she was “helping” her big brother practice for something important?
Did he try and keep this behavior a secret?

If any of these questions raise worrisome thoughts, or if you are seeing other behaviors in your son that concern you, then yes, increasing supervision is very important and it’s possible that you may want to seek out other professional supports.

Regardless, talk with both of your children about this experience. Avoid blame and shame – rather use this opportunity to make clear and re-establish your family’s rules about appropriate and inappropriate touching, and about personal and privacy boundariesi.

This is a good time to learn about child sexual development, and particularly about the differences between typical and common behaviors for different age groups, and behaviors that could be concerning. As a final note, I don’t know whether one of your children told you about this behavior, but if they did, they should be commended for sharing this with you and you should be commended for raising children who know that they can tell their parents when something unusual or inappropriate occurs.

Emphasis added by me of course. Notice that right off the bat this group is advising that finding out your teen son has “practiced kissing” his 4-year-old sister is not necessarily cause for concern. Think about that for a second. A teenager, kissing a toddler to “practice” for his girlfriend is no big deal according to a group dedicated to stopping sexual abuse? And forget the fact they’re brother and sister for a second – that in and of itself is clearly problematic and something parents should probably be looking into counseling for.

This is a TODDLER that a teen is using as a sexual surrogate. This is bizarre and potentially dangerous behavior that a parent should take as a sign that it’s time to get their son some psychological help. Even at 13 it is not normal for a child to be attracted to 4-year-old or interested in sexual experimentation with them for any reason.

But the Stop It Now! crew goes further in the second paragraph by imply the 4-year-old might be partially to blame for the molestation her older brother inflicted on her. They advise the parent to find out “how he got her to participate” as if she’s a co-conspirator – she’s a TODDLER. How morally backward and degenerate do you have to be to even suggest that a teen and the toddler he was caught molesting could in some way share the blame for the molestation?

Not that Stop It Now! believes in blame. After all they call for the parent to talk to the teen who molested a toddler to not “shame or blame” him. Only some fascist, I suppose, would point out that a teenager who is using a toddler as a sex doll to practice his moves on is completely at fault for the situation and the subsequent problems his behavior causes. Only a heartless fiend would suggest that a person who has kissed a TODDLER in a sexual manner should feel shame!

And almost as bad as all that the anonymous advice columnist prevaricates on the issue of whether the parents of this deeply troubled teen should supervise him more. The answer is of course he needs more adult supervision, but Ask Now! gives a virtual shrug of their shoulders and says “maybe” on the issue. What kind of organization that wants to prevent child abuse takes that sort of insouciant stance toward parenting a teen who has shown signs of being sexually predatory?

One that gets a grant from the Department of Justice.

These people are taking your tax money and using it to promote a dangerous agenda. Stop it Now! sees child molesters as victims and they promote a quasi-Marxist “restorative justice” program designed to de-stigmatize sexual predation and exploitation and desensitize Americans to the horrors of child sexual abuse. I am calling my congressman now to demand that this group be defunded and the Department of Justice explain why a group like this is getting taxpayer money and I urge everyone reading this to do the same.

When VICE initially asked me to go down to Colombia to dig into this Scopolamine story, I was pretty excited. I had only a vague understanding of the drug, but the idea of a substance that renders a person incapable of exercising free-will seemed liked a recipe for hilarity and the YouTube hall of fame. I even spent a little time brainstorming the various ways I could transport some of it back to the states and had a pretty good list going of different ways to utilize it on my buddies. The original plan was for me to sample the drug myself to really get an idea of the effect it had on folks. The producer and camera man had flew down to Bogota ahead of me to confirm some meetings and start laying down the groundwork. By the time I arrived a few days later, things had changed dramatically. Their first few days in the country had apparently been such a harrowing montage of freaked-out dealers and unimaginable horror stories about Scopolamine that we decided I was absolutely not going to be doing the drug. All elements of humor and novelty were rapidly stripped away during my first few days in town. After meeting only a couple people with firsthand experience, the story took a far darker turn than we ever could have imagined, and the Scopolamine pranks I had originally imagined pulling on my friends seemed beyond naive and absurd. By the time we were wrapping things up and preparing to leave the country, I couldn’’t wait to get as far away from Colombia and that drug as possible. Apologies for a fleeting moment of sincerity, but looking back, I’m pretty proud of the work we did down there. Here’s a report from Fox Carolina about some revival billboards. Anything strike you as odd?

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) – Some new billboards are getting some attention in the Upstate because they’re notes written by Satan.

They tell people not to go to a specific church on Sunday.  The signs read, “Please do not go to Redemption World Outreach Center this Sunday,” and they’re signed “Satan. ”

We found out the billboards are sponsored by Redemption as a unique sort of advertisement.

Maybe this is just poor writing but this sounds like the reporter, one Dana Wachter, wasn’t sure that Redemption Outreach had put up the billboards. It sounds like she actually called to “find out” whether Redemption Outreach put up the billboards.

But that can’t be right. I mean, the billboards are pretty straightforward and don’t require much “finding out” of anything. In fact, it really doesn’t even require reporting on since church billboards are a dime a dozen in these parts. So … what the hell is this report about? Did reporters at Fox Carolina think there were people out there who weren’t sure that Satan hadn’t taken out a billboard?

Boston Police have issued a Community Alert about a new scam. It’s one very similar to those that have already emerged in Asian communities in New York, San Francisco, and Philadelphia.

In the Boston case, the victim claims three young women approached her on the street. One of the women asked her a series of questions – all in Cantonese — about her family.

In the span of just a few minutes, the victim alleges the women hypnotized her without her permission and convinced her to go back home and put all of her valuables in a bag.

When all was said and done, the victim handed over to these women $160,000 in cash and jewelry.

Uh-huh. She was hypnotized not paying off a gambbling debt her husband didn’t know about.

But if Boston police are concerned about people getting hypnotized and turned into thralls of evil mind controlling villains there are bigger fish to fry. The Osirian Portal is still on the loose, and known to use hypnosis in what has been determined to be the most illegal move in professional wrestling history:

I frankly didn’t remember her. But this morning I received around ten emails from her that simply said “find the real criminals” and saw a homemade press release in my comments claiming, basically, she was proven innocent of all charges and the world was out to get poor Anna Featherston. I deleted her poorly written press release because it was a lie. Anna Featherston had her charges dismissed, according to the Greenville County Court website, by prosecutorial discretion. What’s that mean? It could mean anything. Prosecutors have unlimited power to charge and may drop charges if they think the case is trivial (which this was) or if it wouldn’t serve the public interest.

It was always clear that Featherston, among other things, was just a terrible business woman. She’s bad with money. Her mugshot suggests a reason for that but that is irrelevant. Prosecutors saw that Featherston wasn’t trying to commit a crime but was bouncing checks because she couldn’t keep track of what money was where or how to dig herself out of a hole. The fact hat she was fined four times for not paying her employees and according to public records is currently in foreclosure proves that.

The problem Anna has with me is that I wrote a headline that says she doesn’t like paying her bills. The fact that she almost went to jail for not paying her bills and is now in foreclosure kind of confirms that. I will bet cash money that during all this financial chaos he found money for drinks, new clothes, getting her brows waxed etc. She clearly has money for a computer and Internet service since she spammed my email. So I stand by everything I’ve ever said about her.

Learn to live on a budget like a big girl Anna, and avoid the scorn from people like me you bring on yourself. Having your check fraud cases dismissed isn’t something to brag about – it should be a wake up call. And people please remember that your court cases are public record so embellishing the facts about them just make you look stupid.

Makes sense. The Occupy movement is full of socialist anti-Semites who hate America and recently dead JT Ready was a national socialist which is a socialist anti-Semite who hates America so they’re simpatico. The media is trying to claim he was a Tea Partier but here’s video proof that Ready was an Occupy supporter. The fat guy first interviewed is JT Ready:

The worst part about this plot was how nihilistic this movement has been exposed to be. One of the bombers even volunteered for a suicide bombing mission. Think about that – a rich suburbanite is willing to kill himself to make a ideological statement:

(Brandon) Baxter claimed to have acquired eight pounds of C-4 explosive, and suggested they look for a neo-Nazi or Klan headquarters in Ohio to blow up. Wright suggested blowing up a Federal Reserve bank with a car bomb. He also allegedly said he would consider wearing a suicide vest but would have to be “very drunk” to go through with it.

So … this is the 99%? Here’s the FBI affidavit to peruse. Think about this next time someone tells you how harmless Occupy is.

What!?! Hookers using social networks? No way! Who would have thought?

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Prostitution has plagued any number of internet sites in recent years – notably Craigslist – but now the CBS 3 I-Team has found a new hideout for hookers on one of the most widely-used social media sites.

Our exclusive investigation found Twitter is used by call girls all the time as a free way to advertise. A simple search for escorts returns hundreds of tweets. And, there are illicit pictures and lots of links to websites that are so X-rated, we couldn’t open them on company computers.

But it goes way beyond that: some prostitutes right in your backyard are even setting up appointments over Twitter, which is used by kids of all ages. The I-Team met up with one prostitute at a motel outside Wilmington, Delaware, having never spoken with her. All our communication was through Twitter.

We met another woman, who calls herself a “goddess” at a Cherry Hill motel after we saw her advertise her availability on Twitter.

She uses Twitter in the same way many prostitutes do: to tell prospective clients, in 140 characters or less, where she is and when she’s available. She posted tweets like: “Philly, I’m back for 2 days only” or “One more day til my AC Trip,” advising her followers to “book early.”

Did I say naive? Maybe I meant involved. Anyone else think this article stinks of a cover-up for a reporter caught contacting working girls on his laptop?
