Guy look Asian to you? Either the witnesses to the crime have never seen an Asian and assume bushy eyebrows are an indicator of Asain ancestry or that whole “Asian or Hispanic” description was blarney.

Anyway, 23-year-old Octavio Ginez Altamirano got popped for being the Mauldin child stalker. Police have not released any information about what he claims he was up to but we all know what he was up to anyway. Problem is, he won’t do much time for this, if any at all. From WSPA:

Altamirano has been charged with disturbing schools and first-degree harassment. He is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center where he is awaiting a bond hearing.

Disturbing Schools has a maximum penalty of one year in county and a $2,000 fine. With a first offense First Degree Harassment charge the max Altamirano faces is three years and a $1,000 fine. Both are misdemeanors and since Altamirano didn’t hurt anyone it’s unlikely he’ll get the max but even if he did he would probably be out on the streets in less than five years. I predict probation and, call me a bigot, but an immigration hold.

LasFriday a man in a gold Honda Prelude (with a large spoiler and custom rims) was seen stalking children at the Bethel Elementary School campus. Police need information on the man before he’s able to do who knows what to some innocent child:

Seargeant Jason Peterson said that the man was seen hanging around the Bethel Elementary School campus on Friday.

According to Peterson, a school crossing guard noticed the man looking through a pair of binoculars and approached him in his vehicle, which was parked directly in front of the school. As the crossing guard approached the man, he drove away.

A few minutes later, Peterson said the man drove into the school drop-off loop and started a conversation with a student. A teacher interrupted the conversation and asked the man if she could help him. Peterson said that the man stated, “No” and sped off again.

The man is described as possibly asian or hispanic, between 20-30 years old with a medium build. He was driving a gold Honda Prelude with custom rims, a large spoiler and a black in color hood bra on the front of the vehicle.

Some of you will be wondering why a person is described as being either Asian or Hispanic, which sounds a bit like saying he either had red hair or black hair. Welcome to the wonderful world of journalism school political correctness. In England Arab and Pakistani immigrants who committed crimes are identified as “Asians” because for some reason it is considered less racist to make it look like Chinese immigrants are on a crime wave than identify mainly Muslim men who were committing crimes. Islamophobia, etc. I suspect that the same PC attitude is in play here – especially after taking a look at the above sketch of the man. Chances are a witness said Arab, pronounced it “A-rab” and the powers that be blushed while fluffing their hoopskirts. This wouldn’t matter if police had the guy, but since he’s still out and about parents need to a good no nonsense description of the man.

At least we have a good description of his douchemobile. Bad description or not there’s no way police aren’t going to be able to find that altar to immaturity on wheels. WSPA has some security cam shots of it. If you have kids memorize that car.

Well as it turns out the sign above was posted on the front door of the owner’s house in the Greer Double Shooting. Now personally, I’m not a fan of advertising gun ownership to the outside world. Maybe it’s my mom that always told me, “Don’t tell your friends or anyone about dad’s gun closet, people will want to come and steal them.” And she’s right. You can’t really trust anybody – especially criminals. And this is notice to all you hot shot hunters out there with that nifty Browning sticker on the back windshield of your truck. It advertises to bad guys you have guns – come break into my truck or home.

Ok…you’ll be ready but there’s something about being discreet to me that gives you an advantage. Always. As Sun Tzu said in The Art of War – let your enemy think you are weak, as for him to let his guard down and feel confident in his attack, then
strike with surprise force and vanquish him. Or something to that degree. You get the idea.

I’m not blaming the older man that died – I blame the criminal. But Tamika came armed…expecting a fight. Were they after this guy for his guns? Or just a little money. I think they were after his guns. Or really really stupid to knock on this man’s door and pull a gun on him. I only wish he had saved himself. He damn well got her. Out of my cold dead hands, indeed.

The tipster is adamant that she had only used the card at the Travelers Rest Wal-Mart prior to the theft and several people in the last few months have told me the same thing. Aside from reporting this to the police I advise people to get cash from somewhere else and shop at Wal-Mart without using your cards. You could be inadvertently funding suicide bombings.

What else can you say? This guy seems to live in this complex or very nearby.Striking twice in a very short period of time seems ballsy. I’m assuming the apartment management is stepping up its security warnings and procedures. I mean what are you going to do…run the guy down, chase him for looking in your window. Ew yuck no thanks. Per WYFF today, the double shooting that happened in Greer:

“Greer police said late Tuesday afternoon that a double shooting on Monday morning happened during an armed robbery in which the homeowner fired back, wounding the suspect before he was killed. Greer police Lt. Jim Holcombe said the shooting, in the 200 block of Pelham Street, was reported at 9:18 a.m. Monday Police said the investigation revealed that the homeowner, 62-year-old Douglas Burgess, answered the door at his residence and the suspect, 34-year-old Tamika Yvette Weatherspoon, asked for some money. Police said when Burgess refused to give Weatherspoon any money, she pulled a gun, and he then pulled a gun. Burgess and Weatherspoon each fired one shot, police said.”

Now unfortunately, the assailed did not survive the exchange of gunfire. Neither did the assailant. But it would appear the female pistolero had the immediate drop on the aging man. He got his in the chest. Hers in the leg, per the report online:

“Dill said Weatherspoon was shot in the upper leg. Dill said Burgess died from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was pronounced dead at the scene.”

I can’t help but wonder – what would any of us do in the exact same situation. When a bad guy has the drop on you…do you reach….do you run…I’d like to say I’d stall and do what they said and look for an opportunity to even the odds or at least strike first. But we weren’t there. We can’t ever know exactly. He answered his door armed, which means he sensed needing it when he answered the door. A shame and a reminder to be vigilant and as ready as you can be for that moment we all hope never comes. Lets all hope. But train so when hope doesn’t work out…we win.

Bad guys really suck.

The brothers were arrested in Easley and were apparently sleeping in a Wal-Mart (?) there. So we’re not talking about a brain trust. Both are facing attempted murder charges among other things. Here’s where the story takes a predictable turn. These two scumbags have friends who think that trying to blow some innocnet guy’s head off was a “mistake” and people should be too hard on them.

One Jenna Williams has taken to defending these two degenerates in the comments of news sites with pearls of wisdom like this:

carjack-take hostage of a car and the victims inside. they let the family go, that shows they DO care about people because they probably saw those kids and immediately pictured their baby sisters. no it wasn’t right. i said that before. but if it were your brothers you would stick up for them too. people make mistakes, some bigger than others and these 2 just got mixed up in some very bad things. and yeah, maybe they dont care anymore because i’ve seen the way these two got treated and they got treated like crap. bottom line, you dont know them. YOU. DONT. KNOW. THEM. but I do and they have such big hearts they’ve just become stupid and made even more stupid mistakes. so shutup because i dont care how sick you are of listening to people take up for “people like these 2 men” cause i truly know them and i know that theres something wrong with them and they werent always like this. and you wanna judge people when you’re one of those girls that takes a picture of her stomache? wow.

She was responding to a woman who had a facebook picture of a flat and toned stomach. Showing off this flat and toned stomach is, according to Jenna, similar to trying to murder innocent people.

I personally would be more worried about the impact of these criminals actions on their victims. Sorry their family doesn’t like to hear people “bashing” the two brothers who attempted to murder and innocent man for his car but they should have taken the potential shame and heartbreak into account before turning these monsters lose on the rest of us.

And of course like some sheltered liberal basting in moral relativism she claims that shooting someone who is trying to murder you is the same as trying to murder someone. Imagine how ignorant and self-loathing you have to be to think that doing whatever it takes to protect your own life or the lives of others is the same as deciding to murder someone because you want their stuff. I take it if someone attacks her she doesn’t defend herself – oh wait, she did threaten someone. So really she’s saying that she and other criminals should not have to be afraid of getting killed or maimed when attacking others. I guess she moved here from NYC.

I’ll leave you with one more pinched off nugget of Jenna’s wisdom. Remember, he’s talking about two guys who tried to murder a random person Zodiac killer style:

I find it very pathetic that the news channel takes a family’s grief and uses it for their occupation. you guys have no respect at all for the families. you need to mind your own business. the stories you post are pointless, other people don’t need to know any of this so why exploit something and blow it way out of proportion.
