CYF-Shining Light Baptist Church

The Lord granted us the privilege of hosting a CYF rally at Shining Light Baptist Church Friday January 13th, the last night of their Winter Jubilee with T.D. Burgess. There was over 700 young people in attendance with 100 plus in the choir. God really moved during the singing and old fashioned praise began to ring out. SAGBC did a powerful drama on how God’s uses your past mistake or present weakness to bless others by the grace of God! Dr. Lentz preached a timely message on our goal at the start of 2012 should be “I Want My Stuff Back.” The devil has robed dad and mom of victorious christian lives that their kids can draw encouragement from. The devil has robed teenagers of their joy, purity, and testimonies while leaving them with fair weather friends, addictions, and broken lives. It is time we arise from our defeated state just as David did in 1 Samuel 30! There was 25 young people who came forward desiring Christ as their Saviour and many others praying asking God for strength to take their stuff back! We give Jesus all the glory!

CYF-Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church

January was a busy month as we headed to Hudson, NC for our second youth rally in 8 days. Pastor Nicky Waters and the church gave us the privilege of hosting a CYF rally at their church on Saturday January 22nd. It was great to see many of our mountain friends we haven’t seen in awhile as well as many new faces for the first time. The building was packed with close to 800 in attendance and close to a 100 in the choir. The choir did a great job singing and a special thanks to the musicians who filled in for us. Dr. Lentz preached a powerful message on “The Rapture” out of Mark 13:31-37 and 25+ came forward asking Christ to their Saviour. After the service we had a great time of fellowship while eating pizza. We give Jesus all the glory for everything He accomplished in this meeting!

Winter Conference 2011

God privileged us with the opportunity to host the 14th Annual Winter Conference at the Embassy Suites in Myrtle Beach, SC. This year, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, the preachers were Dr. R. Larry Brown, Ev. C.T. Townsend, Dr. Greg Lentz, Dr. Tommy Steele, and Dr. Chris Haizlip. The singers were the Victory Voices and C.T. & Becky Townsend, both from North Augusta, SC. During these services, God moved in a powerful way with 66 professions of faith, 19 young men surrendering to preach, and hundreds of others asking God to mold them into Christians that will make a difference. We stand amazed at what God did in those few days together! We invite you to start off 2012 with us at Shining Light Baptist Church on January 13th (7PM) and Poovey’s Chapel Baptist Church on January 21st (6PM). It is our prayer through the CYFs this year that each youth group, youth leader, and teenager will grow closer with each other and the Lord! We love each of you and are so thankful that God has allowed our paths to cross!

VCS Revival/School Crusade

God allowed us the privilege to hold a revival October 30^th through November 2nd at Vandalia Baptist Church. During this meeting on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we held chapel services at Vandalia Christian School each morning. God moved in a mighty way during these school services. The teens packed the choir out each morning and sang with great excitement. There was great liberty for bro. Greg to preach and the young people listened well. Over 50 souls were saved by the grace of God and hundreds of other teens received help from the Lord with their situations. We give Jesus all the glory!

SAGBC C.Y.F Rally

On October 22nd we held a youth rally at Stanleytown’s Amazing Grace Baptist Church in VA. This church was recently blessed with a larger church building allowing this cyf to be held in their church. The combined youth choir did a great job singing and the drama by the host church’s teens was such a blessing. Bro. Greg preached a powerful message on “The Spirit of Rebellion.” Many people received help from the Lord. To God be the glory!

Youth Night at GA Tent Crusade

On September 30th the second Friday during the GA Tent Crusade we held a teen emphasis night. Bro. Greg led an adult/teen combined choir which did a wonderful job singing and bro. Ralph preached a powerful message. Over 1,800 in attendance and 30+ saved by the grace of God! We then had pizza and doughnuts for all the youth. What a great night we had in the Lord. To God be the glory!!
