In this video I wanted to show you how simple it is to take a video from your phone, convert it to an .mp4 file, upload it to your Amazon S3 account using Easy Video Player and finally adding it to your blog post. I actually pulled it off in less than 9 minutes.

While technology can seem overwhelming, there are tools and software available to automate much of the process. You can put a button to take someone to your website after viewing, have the page redirect automatically and even have an optin form right in the video. Your only limitations are your imagination!

Firefox, a great alternative to Internet Explorer

I’ve used Mozilla’s Firefox browser for years and I love how fast it works and all the useful add-ons that make it really user friendly, but today I have a gripe about the latest update.

I was cruising along with my daily routine and as always happens when I launch Firefox, it checks for the latest updated version. Isn’t that great that it does that automatically? I never have to worry if I’m running the latest version of Firefox or not. So up pops a window letting me know that there is a new version available and do I want to download it or not.

To update Firefox or not to update? That is the question…

So I click the Update button and the download starts for the newest version. Great right? Not so fast! What’s this, things aren’t working the way they did before… where’s my Foxtab shortcuts, why is the refresh button moved? Why isn’t my Roboform working anymore? As I look for my favorite add-ons that used to be there and work fine, I’m starting to get angry. Obviously something in the update caused problems with my old setup. Now what the heck do I do?

That’s right, let’s just get it out of the way.

You have a business opportunity and you just have to tell me what it is right off the bat. You and I are complete strangers, but the FIRST TIME you contact me you say, “Hey, nice to meet you, I’ve got this killer business you just have to see!” and you throw your link at me. OH man, I think I’m gonna puke!

After 15 years online, when someone comes at me this way, I turn and run. I’ll be polite, say that you have a cool site or business, but chances are you’ve ruined what could have been a great networking relationship by ambushing me with your biz opp the first time we ever connect.

It’s sad really, but it’s not your fault. You’ve either been taught to do this, or no one has taken the time to teach you properly in how to build relationships. I’m sure you’ve heard this before: “You have to get people to know, like and trust you” before you can ever attempt to SELL them something.” Why on Earth would a total stranger buy anything from you? They don’t know you, know about you or even if what you have will be something THEY want. Yet this is how most people try to market their business online and off.

Take my most recent experience when I joined Apsense. As soon as you join, other members start sending you emails and Contact requests. This is actually a great tool and a very easy and fast way to build up a network, but most people aren’t utilizing it the correct way. In almost every case, each email was a brief hello and then BAM! I’m hit with the sales pitch and given a website to go check out. Wrong, wrong, WRONG!

Almost everyone on Apsense already has a business. So your first contact should just be a pleasant introduction. Don’t tell them about this super duper, amazing, can’t live without it, business opp you have. THEY DON’T CARE! At least not at the very first contact. Tell them it’s nice to meet them. Take a quick look at their website and make a comment on it. Show them you’re not like every other amateur marketer out there and that you actually care about what they’re doing and you’re genuinely interested in them.
That’s how you build a relationship. It takes TIME.

Then as that relationship grows and you get to know each other, you can find out if what you have will work for them. What we are offering is much more than a business opportunity. It’s a total system to help them learn how to generate leads and build multiple streams of income for ANY business. So next time you connect with someone, please don’t tell them about your business opportunity, even if they do first. Take the time to get to know people. Find out what it is they need and what you can offer to them of VALUE. Once you start doing this, you’ll be amazed at how you attract people to you and your business.
