But when residents were asked, "Why Bend?" the answer is was clear as the sky: "Sunny days, crisp nights. It's the kind of place people come just because they want to be there...And now there's a network of talented people who've done exactly that" (Dan Smithey, Entrepreneur Magazine, "Destined For Greatness," August 2012).

Over the last decade, Bend has attracted all sorts of new businesses and new ideas. Entrepreneurs and business owners have flocked to Bend to start their dream, and settled in among the fast-growing, creative, and eclectic population. According to the article, Bend is "humming with new ideas, business, and capital," so much so, you can "smell it in the air."

Greg Welch, much like many of the business owners in Bend, is here for many of the same reasons. Bend is a beautiful place to work, live, and raise a family. Greg Welch Construction is excited about the opportunities new businesses and entrepreneurs will bring to our town, just as breakout companies like G5, Deschutes Brewery, Element 1, and Agere Pharmaceuticals have done.

Greg Welch Construction has had a wonderful 14 year run in Bend, and we look forward to working with current and future residents making Bend "home" for many years to come. Despite the ups and downs of the market, Bend will always have the mountains, the river, the sunshine, and the residents that make it a great place to live, and encourages people to bring their dreams here.

This content is property of Greg Welch Construction
