<p>When we have a fixed mindset, we tend to stunt our growth and stop ourselves from getting what we want in life. We have that little voice in our heads that we listen to that tells us that we won&#8217;t succeed, that something is impossible, or that we don&#8217;t have the skills to get what we want. This kind of thinking keeps us stuck. We all want things, but to get them, we have to change our thinking. Here&#8217;s how to improve your mindset so that you can achieve the success you desire.</p>

<p><strong>Learn the Lesson</strong></p>



<p>Many times we find ourselves stuck with no way of moving forward because we haven’t learned how to turn our failures into successes. Many people, when they experience failure, decide that it wasn’t meant to be and stop trying to reach their goals. When someone finds success, it’s because they looked at all the times they failed on their journey as lessons and spend the time to see what they could learn from them.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Change Your Limiting Beliefs</strong></p>



<p>Many of us hold tightly to our limiting beliefs. Carefully looking at your values and belief systems, and then comparing them to what they see as holding them back, will allow you to make the necessary adjustments. If you&#8217;ve realized that you have been walking around with a particular belief since you were a child, just because that is what you were told, you need to start challenging it, especially if it is a belief that is holding you back from realizing your dreams.</p>

<p><strong>Create Lists and Vision Boards</strong></p>



<p>If you are a visual person, create something that places your goals, dreams, and wants in a position where you have to see them every day. Place a list of your goals on your refrigerator, or make a dream board and hang it over your desk. Be creative and specific and be extremely clear about what it is you want to achieve. Putting your thoughts, dreams, and hope out into the world to be seen can be incredibly energizing.</p>



<p><strong>Create Small and Manageable Goals</strong></p>



<p>Take your large, overwhelming goals that you want to achieve, and break them down into smaller goals that will be more manageable for you to accomplish. Every day work on completing the more modest goals, and before you know it, you&#8217;ll have made a substantial amount of progress toward your broader goals. There is power in breaking things down and working toward them a little at a time.</p>



<p>It doesn’t matter what method works for you, what matters is you actively work to change your mindset if you want to achieve success.  </p>

<p><strong>Identify What You Want</strong></p>



<p>Before you can begin to develop your persistence, you have to know what it is you want in your life. Take some time to think about what you want and write down your answers on a sheet of paper. Really think about how you would like your life to be and what you need to do to get there. Write everything down, no matter how big or small the goal.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Figure Out Your Motivation</strong><em></em></p>



<p>To build persistence for accomplishing your goals, you have to have motivation. If you know the deep-down, the reason for doing what you’re doing you will have more energy to keep moving forward toward your goals. Figuring out what is motivating you is a fundamental aspect of becoming more persistent.&nbsp;</p>



<p><strong>Outline Your Plan</strong></p>



<p>When you’ve identified what you want and have figured out your motivation for achieving your goals, you need to develop a plan for how to achieve the success that you desire. Creating an outline of your plan, that includes specific action steps, will help you know how you will be able to achieve your goals. When you know the steps it will take to get what you want, reaching your goals will become easier. Be specific and detailed in each step and identify at least two ways that you can ultimately achieve your goals.</p>



<p><strong>Shift Your Mindset</strong></p>



<p>The road to success is never easy. In fact, you will face numerous roadblocks and challenges along the way. Everyone, from time to time, can get stuck in a negative mindset, succumbing to the negative thoughts and fear of failure. To develop persistence, however, you have to work to maintain a positive mental attitude, regardless of the situation. Strive to keep your thoughts focused on continually taking action toward your goals and try to avoid the negative thoughts and emotions that can destroy your focus and persistence.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Accomplishing your goals and achieving success isn’t an easy path to follow. You will run into countless obstacles and face numerous challenges, but with the right plan in place and enough persistence, you’ll realize your dreams in no time. </p>

<p>Let’s face it.</p>



<p>Half of life is awesome and half is kind of terrible.</p>



<p>There are two sides to everything – life/death, happiness/sadness, joy/pain…</p>



<p>That list could go on forever.</p>



<p>And as humans, we experience all of those things throughout our lives.</p>



<p>But you can begin to take back a little bit of control when it comes to the not-so-fun side of life.</p>



<p>Of course, tragic events breed sadness – when we lose someone close to us, we can’t help but grieve.</p>



<p>That’s not really what I’m talking about here.</p>



<p>What I’m talking about is the suffering we CAUSE ourselves when things don’t go our way – we lose a job, fight with a friend, break an arm…</p>



<p>The reason we suffer far more than we need to in these types of circumstances is because we live with the&nbsp;<em>expectation</em>&nbsp;that things should always be good.</p>



<p>We carry on just fine until something doesn’t go our way, then we stay awake at night, cry, feel frustration, anger, resentment…</p>



<p>Instead of saying to ourselves, “this is just that other side of life, my friend.”</p>



<p>Things are going to be awesome half the time, and they’re going to suck the other half.</p>



<p>This is what you signed up for when you were born.&nbsp;</p>



<p>Give this a try for me…if you can practice releasing the expectation that things should always be good and go your way and say to yourself “this is part of life” next time they don’t, see how much different you feel.</p>



<p>Expectation leads to disappointment and suffering far more than the events themselves.</p>

<p>High performance entrepreneurs have many daily habits. They analyze those habits and delete/create new ones that serve them better. Like a high performance engine that needs to be constantly tweaked to get the fastest speed, entrepreneurs always work on themselves. Here are ten daily habits you need to have now.</p>



<ol class="wp-block-list" type="1"><li>Drop multi-tasking if that is a current habit. Switch to focusing on one task, one goal that moves you forward.</li><li>Make sure to stay out the comfort zone. Once you dwell there, everything will go downhill. Do things that make you uncomfortable but will propel you forward.</li><li>Make that schedule and keep it. When you schedule things and allow distractions, you will look back and believe that you are not able to be a peak performer. Keeping your schedule and even putting a gold star for being on top of it, will elevate your confidence.</li><li>Manage your emails. Peak performers make sure that they have systems in place that ensure they are not wasting time. One such idea is clearing your inbox daily. Never let it build up and overwhelm you.</li><li> Put your body and mind in neutral at some point in your day. Both need to recharge. For your body, lay on your back with your feet up on a chair, so that your lower back is flat against the ground. This is a neutral position and takes the pressure off. Put on headphones and play background noise like waves crashing on the beach. Do this between 15 to 30 minutes per day. The perfect time for this is around noon when you would normally be spending time eating lunch and perhaps wasting time shopping or chatting up friends. </li><li>Before you retire for the night, review your day. Ask yourself questions about what went right and how did somethings go sideways? Come up with solutions to avoid having issues the next day. Decide what is your most difficult task for the next day? As you begin to sleep, remind yourself you will conquer that task first thing in the morning like a champion. Do not allow negative thoughts about the task, to enter your mind. You must act like you are a dragon slayer with the sharpest sword every made. Even a fire breathing dragon bows before you.</li><li>You need challenges. That is how you thrive as a peak performing entrepreneur. Always up your exercise game and add new things. Challenge yourself to do things you had never considered before. For instance many people avoid picking up the phone and calling, whether it is a warm call or the dreaded cold call. There is a saying, “no one ever died from making a cold call.” You need to do the tough things to grow.</li><li>Watch your vocabulary. Entrepreneurs who excel, avoid words like “but,” and “I can’t.” They realize those are dream killers. Instead they look to improve their vocabulary and some even actively search for new words that serve them. Keeping tracking of your vocabulary, also means eliminating thinking in negative words. Once you allow yourself to think, “but,” you open yourself up to a running internal dialogue that doesn’t serve you.</li><li>Make your task lists. Peak performers have lists and delegate or eliminate un-productive tasks. They get immense satisfaction by crossing off something on their task list and at the end of the day, when it is all clear.</li><li>Creativity is what makes high performance entrepreneurs special. Look for ways to increase your creativity. If you have lost that creative spark, start by taking a course that requires you to show creativity. There are courses on photography, creative writing and even making video games or apps.</li></ol>

<p><br>You have to treat your body like a high performance racing car. To get your racing car into the winners circle, it needs to fine-tuned, as in the engine is perfect and you have the right type of tyres on.</p>



<p><br>The first thing to do, is sit down with a pen and paper because you need to monitor your body for any issues. Once you identify the possible issues, you look for the solution to fix them.<br>We will go through some examples and possible solutions to what you may be experiencing.<br>Many people suffer from frequent headaches and the causes may be stress, the wrong type of pillow or needing physical therapy in the neck area. Talking to your doctor can provide the answers you need.<br></p>



<p>If depression is an issue, you need to banish it in order to be a peak performer. Write down what may causing the depression. Do you believe you may have a chemical imbalance? If so, consult your doctor. Perhaps there are issues in your life, which if you addressed them now, would lessen or erase the issue.<br></p>



<p>When you are having digestive problems or are overweight and you know this will hold you back from being a peak performer, take action. Find a solution for the digestion problem. Look closely at how you should be eating and come up with a meal plan.<br></p>



<p>There are many things that you can just eliminate from your diet which will certainly improve your performance. Look at dropping the sugar from your diet. That means no soft drink, chips, donuts or adding refined white sugar to your coffee. In fact, you should buy coffee beans that are to your taste and allow you to drink your coffee black.<br></p>

<p>Now it is time to think about your habits. Make a list of habits that are holding you back. These are habits that you know in your heart, do not serve you. Are you watching too much news either on television or in your social media feeds? The negativity will definitely have a dramatic effect on your brain.<br></p>



<p>Replace the news with positive self-help and self-development books. Pick books or audios that are going to propel your personal peak performance to the moon and back.<br></p>



<p>Peak performers are masters at breathing. Proper breathing techniques, lower stress and blood pressure. When you power breath, it brings more oxygen into the lungs to be passed on to the brain. Your brain will function at peak levels, if you keep it healthy by power breathing and exercise.<br></p>



<p>All peak performers master a form of exercise that suits their lifestyle and time commitments. Many use yoga and stretching as the base for their exercise platform. A great habit for you to form, is get into yoga and then another exercise that you are passionate about, like tennis or swimming.<br></p>



<p>Putting pen to paper is so much better than doing it on a computer. Your brain makes a stronger connection to what you desire, when your hand actually physically writes it out.To be a peak performer, you need to write proper to do lists, for starters. Add to that a gratitude journal because you have so much to be thankful for.<br></p>



<p>Writing in your gratitude journal every day, signals to the universe that you are happy and you want more of the things that make you happy…to enter your life. Get a creativity journal to write in as well. Some of the amazing things you will do in life as a peak performer, will come from the creative spark you had and put to paper.</p>

<p><br>The world changed in a matter of weeks last month.</p>



<p><br>Coronavirus spread fast and has impacted the entire globe.</p>



<p>In our lifetimes, we’ve never encountered anything quite like this.</p>



<p>Not that posed such imminent thread with such urgency.<br></p>



<p>Nothing that has shut down travel, major industries and venues, schools, and businesses like this before.<br></p>



<p>The impact will be felt for years to come, no doubt.<br></p>



<p>Both emotionally for those who’ve lost loved ones but economically as well.<br></p>



<p>Uncertain times lead to panic and fear.<br></p>



<p>And we end up making decisions from a place of panic and fear &#8211; which will never be the best, most rational ones.<br></p>



<p>In times of fear, most people pull back. They retreat.<br></p>



<p>People don’t like uncertainty because it violates the TOP need all humans have &#8211; the need to know they’re ok. That survival isn’t at stake. That they’re not about to lose everything.<br></p>



<p>But if you’re reading this today, evaluate what your life is right now.<br></p>



<p>Are you sitting in a warm home with food?<br></p>



<p>Do you have everything you need?<br></p>



<p>If so, and you’ve got loved ones close by, remind yourself that right now you are ok.<br></p>



<p>And you will be ok through this and on the other side.<br></p>



<p>Because it will pass, even if the days are beginning to feel long.<br></p>
