Grendel's Den Website Overhaul Coming

Hi everyone! Long time no post. I've been pretty busy for quite a while, and busy is good. But it has also kept me from updating my own website. Luckily the time to work on it has finally become available and I am starting the process of redesigning things. The current design is only about three years old, but some things have changed in regard to the direction of my work and services provided. So it's time to change things to reflect those changes (cue David Bowie's "Changes"). In the coming months I'll be working on that in between some other projects with the hope of having a nice and shinny new website launched by Fall. Obviously I'll announce when the new design goes live. As always, thanks for your years of support.

Office Down Time

From December 22nd to January 5th I will be performing an office system upgrade. This includes my work computer system and all of its software, wireless internet system, and most of the office itself. This is about three years overdue, and now has to be accomplished in order for me to better serve all of you, my clients.

I chose this time for obvious reasons - it falls during Christmas and New Years, of which sees the least amount of client work during the year.

For the most part I will not be performing any typical website maintenance or updates, graphics work, or promotional materials during this down time. I will also not be taking on any new work or rush jobs prior to the down time as I already have a full docket to wrap up beforehand. Obviously though if there is an emergency I will make every effort to get to it as soon as possible.

Once completed, I will be back in business and chugging away diligently as always.

I want to wish everyone a fantastic holiday season, whatever you may or not not celebrate, and that I truly appreciate each and every one of you and your patronage.

GDDS Website Redesign, New Art, Upcoming Shows!

This is a rather big update, so have a seat...

Nope, you're not imagining things. After almost four years, Grendel's Den Design Studio has be given a redesign from the ground up. Just about three months of brainstorming, building and testing to get what you see before you. I've cut out all of the fat and left a lean and mean HTML 5 and CSS3 machine. And it's also responsive, meaning that a single design was created that can adapt itself to just about any device - be it a PC, laptop, iPad or smartphone.

You'll notice some obvious changes, like the combination of web and graphic designs onto a single Design page. I've also cut out some of my older pieces of artwork from the Art section, making that page far more current work rather than a long list of everything. I've also took down the Store for the short term. It will be making a comeback soon, but not until I've streamlined things by better selecting what prints should and shouldn't be available. But again, it will be returning soon, so be sure to check back. There are some things that still need a little tweaking, but overall we're ready for public consumption.

I've also added a new piece of artwork to the Art page, which is entitled DUALITY.
