I got these out of the book "100 Simple Secrets of Happy People".  I needed a little pick me up so I wanted to make sure I had these handy.  Wanted to pass it along to those I care about too:)  As the book says (and I love this): "All I Can Do Is Point and Hope You Look" :) With Love, Greta "100 Simple Secrets of Happy People"Your Life Has Purpose and Meaning Use a Strategy for

I have not been attending to my little space on the web recently, my blog.  I guess I just felt overwhelmed by the idea that inspired me to start it in the first place.  The idea that I wanted to spread a little light, a little love, a few resources and hopefully some hope for people who can relate or anyone looking for some goodness.  Now I humbly say all this hoping that one day

As those of you who know me know, I'm a huge advocate of  cleaning up the environment and helping out the inhabitants  on this earth, furry or not:)  VolunteerBig is doing just that  and I want to help spread the word. Please become involved  in whatever capacity works for you.   Sometime in the future I'll be doing more roadside cleanups,  fund raising

Artifact Boutique is one of the best finds in West Chester, PA for clothing and accessories.  Yes I may be a little biased since they carry my jewelry :) but in all honesty I really love this store.  I've gotten dresses and tops for shows (as seen below) at Artifact and they've been the most comfortable and affordable purchases.       Everything in the store is under

As usual I end up making some variation on a recipe when there's no need for it:)  I got this sugar cookie mix thinking it would be cute to make something for The Moxy fans and friends.  I was going to write on them and decorate them all fancy like...well I ended up using 2 eggs instead of one, then needed more flower but all I had was Trader Joe's Multigrain Pancake Mix!  It

My boyfriend jokes that I have a food fetish because I've been trying out every homemade food based remedies for dry winter skin.  I guess it is funny to see me putting yogurt or honey or whatever on my face to see how it works:)  After trying a ton of food I've found 2 items that have had the best results hands down. Btw, this is information is not just for the ladies.  If you're

For my sister's birthday, we took her to the Wolf Sanctuary in Lititz, PA (near Lancaster).  Ali (my sister) and I are huuuge wildlife lovers and advocates.  We used to volunteer at the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Center near Philadelphia, PA which cares for hurt hawks, owls, foxes, etc and raises abandoned baby squirrels, birds and opossums and more.  One of her

I'm not sure how I first came across this site but it's awesome and I visit it every day.  The site is called Freekibble and every day they have a trivia question, one for cats and one for dogs.  Whether you answer wrong or right they donate 10 pieces of kibble on your behalf to animals living in shelters.  Now this may sound like a teeny tiny amount but so far

We're working on writing new songs for The Moxy's third EP or hopefully our first full length.  Taylor's been making some rad music and now it's my turn to put some vocals on it.  I've had writer's block since I started working on my part.  My thoughts were fuzzy & jumbled.  My head felt like a news channel with high alerts and updates scattered on the screen.  I was

I got sidetracked with the hoilday's/new year and it's been a while since I wrote on here.  I was working on editing the videos of Ryan cutting my hair and picking out my outfit for our holiday show at Artifact Boutique in West Chester.  I will put them on here at some point but I haven't had time to finish them yet. I wanted to share some of my favorite things so far this year.

While I'm not typically an advocate of getting someone a kitten or puppy as a present (because they can run into problems as the animal gets into their "teenage" years), I am an advocate of everyone seeing if they have room for one more at their "Inn". I know more and more people who have 2 or 3 cats and a dog.  It's a lot more doable than most people may think.  I never thought I'd be

In 2008 we performed in Bam Margera's Warner Bros movie "Where The F Is Santa" and it's debuting on MTV2 tonight at 10pm and 2am.  Tune in for laughs and for our performance at the end of the movie.  Keep rockin and much love! Greta

Sooo I'm a product junkie and I was recently enlightened by a loved one to just what's in all the products we use every day like shampoos, makeup, soaps, lotions and more.  Although it's not realistic for us to eliminate all of these products (at least right away), maybe we can try to minimize the amount & frequency of these chemicals we put on our bodies.  I wanted to share this

Most of you know Ryan Olde has been my hair stylist since before The Moxy even started.  He's updating my hair next week and as usual I want to do something different & not just get a trim :)  I had some fun on Instyle's Makeover site trying on hair and I wanted your opinion.  I couldn't add pink to the hair styles so just imagine pink being in there!  Also I probably

Hey Everybody, This is my favorite time of year.  Although it gets dark early we have the lights strung on houses, trees & street lamps to keep our spirits illuminated.  I love the smells, the sounds & the childlike excitement many of us feel as the festivities grow closer.  I’m especially excited because The Moxy’s playing some cool shows in December and planning more
