It has been a nice 10 year run with the site. I tried to shut it down a couple of years ago, but with some prodding from some of my long-term subscribers and friends I’ve made in this business, I gave it another go. My love of sports gambling is still strong, but I’ve gotten burned out with the time involved publishing and managing a web site. In retrospect, I think that became quite clear late in this past season when I dropped from game notes, handicapping, and info to just posting picks.

There are a couple outstanding advertising contracts, so the site will be up through September, 2012. But once those are finished, I’ll be pulling the plug.

If you are on the weekly pick email list, you’ll be getting a final email, and then the database will be destroyed. No need to unsubscribe.

If you are on the Insider’s list, nothing much will be changing other than I’m dropping my moderator position when the rest of the group decides on a replacement.

Season Recap

The 2011-12 season is over. I got off to a slow start in college football this year, but made a strong charge back in the middle of the season to end up in profitable territory before the bowl games started.

The NFL was the opposite, I was off to an extremely hot start before things regressed the last the couple weeks of the season. NFL playoffs and Super Bowl were a miserable mess, including breaking my 9 year winning streak on the Super Bowl.

I’ll be taking my normal hiatus until baseball rolls around, unless anything pressing comes my way.
