Accountability is an individual as well as group responsibility. With the release of They Screamin Worldstar, the focus is not meant as an attack on the website but on the characteristics that many associate with it. Essentially, the song is meant to focus on the youth who sensationalize such activity but disregard consequence and is meant to be rhetorical throughout. With this, my two cents, I'm applying my thoughts to the discussion in the hope to further the dialogue.

Read: Philadelphia native Dub P. Adychshun (@dubph713)

grimespromotions@gmail.com (Charel Grimes) — Mon, 27 Jan 2014 19:38:00 +0000

Hip Hop / R&B / Spoken Word

Philadelphia native Dub P. Adychshun is a member of the critically acclaimed hip-hop group F.A.M. From early on, he listened to hip-hop sounds blaring from the stereos of his older brothers. Inspired by many, Adychshun decided to take listening to hip-hop a step further. He formed and DJ’ed for hip-hop groups while in boarding school. He also produced the internationally known The Addiction Mixtape & Grinding Season. True to being a pioneer in the hip-hop world,

Adychshun formed F.A.M. and Freedom Born Records with Tony Spades while attending the University of Pennsylvania.
When asked his motivation, Adychshun added “Philly has not been able to produce platinum artists on their own. Our city has always been told by outsiders who should represent us. I would like to assist in this jihad against the industry to help my city attain its proper place in the hip-hop world.”

Featured on hot tracks like BIGGER CUT and MY ADDICTION, Dub P provides an in-depth look on life in the world of hip-hop. Adychshun has performed with Tony Spades and F.A.M.at Club Fluid, the Arts Garage, The Island Bar & Grill, The Rusty Nail, and the legendary Trocadero. F.A.M's first album Hungry debuted December 15, 2009 and is making headlines as it pushes through iTunes, Napster, eMusic, Rhapsody and Amazonmp3.com.

Canadian Native @Blow_Flyy Is Relevant And Universal

grimespromotions@gmail.com (Charel Grimes) — Sat, 25 Jan 2014 20:15:00 +0000

Hip Hop Rap Pop

Born Anthony Grant, “Blow Flyy” is a songwriter and Canadian Hip-Hop/ Rap artist from Halifax/Dartmouth Nova Scotia, Canada. Blow Flyy is an artist that likes to work towards perfection. The music that the artist produces and pens are influenced by his family and passion to create great music. With a unique style in performance he delivers a new sound and flow to hip-hop through his to the point lyrics and nostalgic rhythms.

Blow Flyy grew up writing poetry of inspiration, love and happiness; this would lead to his original flow and way that he composes his music. The artist likes to refer to his music as Hip-Hop/Pop because of the pop mix that is infused into his sound. Having been part of the underground Hip-Hop music scene, he took time to study how the music industry has changed and open doors through the Web for independent self financed artists similar to himself. He uses the online community to grow & perfect his craft while discovering new things he enjoys writing about. Along with finding his niche and the right genre suited for his new sound, he moves forward in the music industry with his contribution to the Hip-Hop/Pop Genre.

The flow in which the Canadian native raps does not necessarily rhyme, but since when did Rhyming every line become the must have for a hot song? Fans & reviewers find his persona and way of composing music quite enjoyable. The songs are clean, simple, but musical & entertaining. Today it is almost impossible to find a rapper that does not use profane lingo in every line of their track because a majority of them have a difficult time creating clean content. Experiencing his music without heavy profanity is like a breath of fresh air. His sound is relevant & universal with a basic appeal to music listeners world-wide. He gives his fans & music listeners his all.

Blow Flyy is a new age artist with new thought process when it comes to the industry. He like most artists who are true to the game and themselves wants to pursue his career solely as an independent artist. While many artists are looking to be signed, he remains loyal to his identity and genre. As an artist who has clean content, he has potential to gain a lot of respect within the wide spectrum of the industry. Respect with parental units and less vulgar entities will bring new money in a present yet undisturbed revenue stream. Blow Flyy is destined to make a dent in the industry starting in Canada, to the U.S., and then world-wide, definitely keep your eyes on this artist......

Kamilah Shani

Kamilah Shani has been dominating the underground hip-hop scene with her unique style and charisma since the age of 15. Her mother and father both Muslims raised Kamilah and her brothers and sisters in New Jersey and Florida. Her upbringing instilled the importance of African culture and a love for the creative arts. Her introduction to the art form of writing came at 5 years old. She began writing stories and poems and hasn't put down the pen since. Kamilah moved back to New Jersey after the death of her mother when she was only nine years old. The change in environment and mourning the loss of her mother made the move back to the Brick City a challenging transition. Hip hop culture provided an outlet and soon Kamilah Shani became fully immerse in her music and began penning her first lyrics.

Fellow Brick City lyricist Lauryn Hill provided her with a rare example of what it takes to be a dope rapper, artist and a strong woman. Nas, Jay-Z, Notorious BIG, and Tupac were also major influences that helped shape her approach to writing and recording. Her sisters were also involved in the Hip Hop world and helped show her the ropes. However, the person that proved to be most influential in her approach to music and writing was her mother, a writer of African American children’s books, poetry and life stories from the heart.

She took all she learned from her family and friends, picked up the microphone and hasn't put it down since. She is currently working on her first mixtape, Welcome to the Peep Show hosted by DJ Onpoint. This mixtape is just a glimpse into what Kamilah Shani is capable of. She has been featured on several underground mixtapes with DJ’s and has appeared in the “Unsigned Hype” column in The Source Magazine, and was also featured in a full spread in Elemental Magazine. Kamilah Shani is an entrepreneur and plans to expand her talents to include future business ventures as well as writing, directing movies and plays.
