The recycled pc motherboard coasters are visually stunning and would make a great conversation piece on any table. I love the design as well, these look pretty well put together and well crafted.

I’m a wanna-be geek and as such love things like this. They have so much more than coasters though – they have adorable heart-shaped pendants, business card cases, gift certificates and lots more.

The best place to find Morningstar Farms Coupons that I know of is eBay. They aren’t available all the time, so you have to sort of continuously look, but I’ve already done that for you. As of today there is one seller who has a series of .75 cent off coupons on Morningstar Farms products.

The cool thing about Morningstar is the sheer variety they offer, everything from burgers to chicken patties and even breakfast sausages are available. If you’re wondering where to buy some, try your nearby grocer as many carry the line – look in the freezer aisle. If my local Super Walmart carries them, yours should too as I live in a relatively small town.

My favorite product from Morningstar is their faux chicken patties (pictured above) and their burgers. But I love their chk’n patties the best.

1. How long have you been blogging?
I generally love writing and used to blog about all sorts of random stuff like food, events, crafts, etc.  I did that for about a year.  Then I finally found what I want to blog about (veggie food) and decided to continue with that.  That is how I started Rabbit Food Rocks.  I have been blogging on RFR for about 6 months.

2. What is the purpose behind your blog?
The blog is intended to be sort of a magazine for vegetarians. I focus more on food recipes and food finds (products, cookbooks etc), but you’ll see that I blog about anything akin to food.  I also like to find the undiscovered gem, whether it’s an author or product or recipe…

3. Who is your ideal reader/visitor?

My ideal visitor would be a “flexitarian” or those on the cusp of becoming vegetarian or trying to change the way they eat.  It’s meant to promote vegetarianism and healthy eating.  Just like Rachael Ray might have influenced a certain audience that cooking can be simple and not require hours of laboring over a hot stove, I’d like to be an influential pioneer showing how vegetarian food doesn’t have to be, as they say, “Rabbit Food”.  It can be tasty and filling and healthy all at the same time.  Also, there are a lot of households out there with “that one vegetarian”, whether it’s a spouse, or a teenager going through an animal rights “phase”, meat eaters find it challenging to accommodate that one person.  I’d like to help them overcome that and show that what we eat is far more interesting than a salad!

4. What is your fave veggie meal dish to eat (or make)?

Too many.  My favorites range all over the map.  Indian, Italian, Tex Mex, Ethiopian…the list goes on!  There is a common theme, though – bread and tomatoes. One of my favorite meals that I keep going back to is not really a meal, but I make it into one!  I love traditional homemade bruschetta.  It’s all about having the best ingredients: fresh bread, ripe cherry tomatoes, the best olive oil, etc….So basic, so good.

5. Name something you wish people knew about you, that you think they don’t?

I wish people knew that I would devote more effort into my blog if I could (quit my day job, perhaps?).  Then I could blog all the time and dig deeper into new topics so my readers don’t have to do that on their own.  One day! <sigh>  I wish people knew that I want to start my own Meals delivered service (vegetarian) one day.

6. Create your own question and answer it? (hehe)

Can’t think of any questions, but here is some random info if this helps at all…(this is really totally random) I’m a sucker for cookbooks.  Love cookbooks. I can’t decide what to eat there are so many veggie recipes alone…i’m glad i’m not a meat eater – I don’t know how they decide!

I wish there were more prix fixe menus and tasting menus in fine dining that were vegetarian. I wish there were more vegetarian cooking classes too! I love to study the history of food up to the simplest of things.  Like who discovered toast? How was cheese discovered? Who thought of fermenting grapes to result in a peculiar liquid that happens to put all of us in a great mood?

Some meat eaters annoy me b/c they’re so hung up on my vegetarianism.  I’m like get over it already.  There are so many things in the food hierarchy I can eat that’s not meat.  And every ailment I have is not because I don’t eat meat.  If i’m cold, it’s ’cause i’m a vegetarian; i’m skinny, it’s ’cause i’m a vegetarian; i have the flu, it’s ’cause i’m a vegetarian.  Okay genius, bring it.

An Ode To The Banana

Why do we love bananas so? Is it because they’re full of Potassium and other nutrient goodness, or is it because it’s a mystical fruit which has a shape and taste like no other.

I ask you, what is it about the banana that compels us to take it home and shower it with precious counter space. What has this fruit done to us that we use it in all sorts of baked goods and casseroles.

Why oh why has the banana taken on this other worldly status as a fruit to behold and praise. Oh the power of a yellow banana!

The sexy mod girl costume is perfect for that Shagadelic party that calls for a spinning good time.
