It is hard to know what the full story is out of Iran these days. Thankfully some brave people are sending pictures and videos via Twitter and YouTube. The people of Iran are speaking and now the world is listening.

This video feature some amazing photos coming from Iran. Some horrific, some enlightening, and some just sad. The music is Pat Benetar's 'Invincible'.

Featuring Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters", this tribute videos shows off some amazing work by our military. Some may not like the 9/11 connections but the editor does well by showing us how the war started and reminds us that the job isn't done yet. Hell ya, got some Rage Against The Machine in the house! Nothing says kick-ass like blasting "Sleep Now In The Fire" at full volume with some killer videos from a jungle bound reconnaissance platoon. These guys are deep in camo and not afraid to fire off some rounds. You don't want to be the enemy who comes through the trees and stumbles onto these guys!

It's A Motherfusser

This has to be one of the more sad videos I've seen in a while but uplifting at the same time. Using The Eels song "It's A Mutherf*cker"", there are some great pictures of individuals and the sacrifices they make. Sometimes you realize it's not about dropping bombs from a distance but the up close personal efforts of a few who make the difference. It's not flashy, there aren't special fancy efforts, just a well done tribute to those who serve for the rest of us.

Kosovo Karaoke

This one is a few year late getting on this site but still makes me laugh. It's a hilarious karaoke video done by the guys in Kosovo. The music is The Beach Boys famous Kokomo song, but redone with new lyrics. So check out where the "they're dropping bombs wherever Serbian bad guys hide"..."Croatia, Albania, somewhere near Romania"..."it's little Kosovo".

Good stuff for a laugh :)

James Iraq Video

James sent in his personal collection of pictures, mixed in with some other favotires, and set to the Buffalo Springfield classic "Stop, hey, what's that sound". A chill throwback song that still holds current today. The music company didn't like it so I've replaced the audio with Call It Quits by Alyse Black. It is a quirky song that seemed fitting since since we have so many soldiers still in Iraq who aren't giving any thoughts to the idea of calling it quits!

Beginning Of The End

This music video featues some archival footage of various bombers demonstrating that it's 'the beginning of the end' for anyone in their path. Liuzza put this together using a chill song from Rob Zombie (well, as chill as Zombie gets). Zombie's music company wasn't cool with it so I replaced it with something found in YouTube's audio swap.

557 MP CO In Korea

Now this is something we don't get to see enough off: life near the DMZ in Korea!

SPC Brock took some terrific pictures and video along the demilitarized zone and mixed them to a classic Limp Bizkit song. Unfortunately the copyright owners of the song won't allow it to be used so I've used YouTube's audio swap feature to insert Drowning Pool's 'Killin' Me' for now.

Brock dedicated this video to the 1st Platoon "Cobras", and is one of two we'll see from SPC Brock in Korea. Definitely worth checking out to get a sense of the training and life these guys are going through over there!

I Wanna Be Free

An awesome chill video featuring the B Co 1/120th (M) Infantry Rough Riders. This should be a refreshing change from all the head-banging videos normally seen here (don't worry, there will be more of those too). "I Wanna Be Free" shows off some of what life in Iraq is like in between the fighting. Great pictures and was very well put together.

It's nice to think about the small amounts of downtime our soldiers get. In between the fighting we can only imagine how much it would be nice to "hide away, far away" like the lyrics suggest. Here's hoping you all get to come home soon and grab your "fishing pole and a bottle of shine"!
