Remove Windows XP Service Pack 3 from your computer

Dear all,

Here is some simple process where you can uninsulated your window xp service pace 3, the method are like this...

Method 1: Use the "Add or Remove Programs" item in Control Panel..
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Copy and then paste the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER: appwiz.cpl
3. Click to select the Show Updates check box.
4. Click Windows XP Service Pack 3, and then click Remove.
5 Click Finish to restart the computer after the removal process is complete.

Method 2: Use the hidden $NtServicePackUninstall$ folder (easy process)
1. Click Start, click Run, type c:\windows\$NtServicePackUninstall$\spuninst\spuninst.exe in the Openbox, and then click OK.
2. When the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Removal Wizard starts, click Next.
3. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3.

Method 3: Use the System Restore process
Note Before you use System Restore, make sure that you have restarted the computer at least one time after you installed Windows XP SP3. By restarting the computer, you allow for any remaining servicing processes to finish.
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. Copy and then paste the following command in the Open box, and then press ENTER:
%systemroot%\System32\restore\rstrui.exe
3. Click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
4. Click the date on which you installed Windows XP SP3, and then click Installed Window XP Service Pack 3 in the Restore Point box.
5. Click Next, and then follow the instructions on the screen to remove Windows XP SP3.

Remove window genuine advantage notification

Hi,

When your window XP operating system is not genuine, you will see always an error like this....

There are a lot of method to remove this type of error and one of them i am going to do here. I am going to write here some step which one is useful to permanently remove the window genuine advantage notification from the Window XP Operating System.I have test it on my own system and it works fine in the first steps...So follow this step one by one...
1. Open a Command Prompt window by clicking on 'Start' and then 'Run'
2. Type 'system32' and press OK.
3. Or Other method is type 'cd \windows\system32'
3. In 'system32' directory go to 'Tools > Folder options', click on the tab 'View', and uncheck 'Hide extensions for known file types' if it is not already.
4. Find 'WgaLogon.dll' file.
5. Rename this file some other name like 'WgaLogon.dll.bak.
6. Create an empty new text file and name it as WgaLogon.dll' (see the process below).
a. Right click on a blank space in 'system32' and select 'New > Text Document'.
b. Leave the text document empty and label it 'WgaLogon.dll'. Press Enter (from your keyboard).
c. Here you may get a warning from the above step that says, 'If you change a file name extension, the file may become unusable. Are you sure you want to change it?'. Click 'Yes' on this warning.
7. Open Task Manager by the following one method....
a. Press the 'Ctrl+Shift+Esc' keys simultaneously.
b. Or press the 'Ctrl+Alt+Delete' keys simultaneously.
c. Or Right click the Taskbar and selecting 'Task Manager'.
8. Click on the 'Process' tab.
9. Find the 'WgaTray.exe' here.
10. Go to the 'system32' directory and Find 'WgaTray.exe'.
11. Select this 'WgaTray.exe' and press 'delete' button.
12. It will ask for confirmation to delete but do not confirm for delete?
13. Go to the 'Task manager > Process' tab, then select 'WgaTray.exe' and click on the 'End Process'. Go for the confirmation to end the process.
14. Quickly go to the confirmation when you delete the 'WgaTray.exe' fro the 'system32' directory.
15. For the step 11 and step 13, you have less than 5 second to complete both of the task.
16. To remove the notifications after this, do the following steps
a. Return to 'system32'.
b. Find the two files 'WgaLogon.dll.bak' and an Application Extension (0KB) called 'WgaLogon.dll'.
c. Delete Application Extension
d. Rename 'WgaLogon.dll.bak'. to 'WgaLogon.dll'
e. Repeat the steps from the fifth one onwards at a greater speed?
17. Restart your computer once you have finished.

Here is the process that how to set up Disk Cleanup to run automatically for the windows...

1. Windows 7

a. Open Task Scheduler: Click the Start button, click Control Panel, click Administrative Tools, and then double-click Task Scheduler. If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
b. Click the Action menu, and then click Create Basic Task. This opens the Create Basic Task Wizard.
c. Type a name for the task and an optional description, and then click Next.
d. To select a schedule based on the calendar, click Daily, Weekly, Monthly, or One time, and then click Next.
e. Specify the schedule you want to use, and then click Next.
f. Click Start a program, and then click Next.
g. Click Browse, and, in the File name box, type cleanmgr.exe, click Open, and then click Next.
h. Click Finish.

2. Windows Vista

m. In the Set Account Information dialog box, type your password in both the Password and Confirm password boxes, and then click OK.

This is a simple steps, that show how to find our JDK install directory. To Find your JDK directory, Use the Following steps...

1. Click on Start Menu
2. Click on Search
3. Click on For Files or Folders
4. In the Left hand Side, select All Files and Folders.
5. Type in jdk* in the textbox under All or part of the file name:
6. Click Search
7. Look for yellow icon that looks like a folder
8. Double Clikc on the folder to open the jdk folder

This folder indicate the JDK installed directory.

Hi,

Here is the process that, how to fix Network & Internet connection problems in Windows.....

If you find that your internet connection, in Windows 7 or Vista, has suddenly stopped working or that you are facing certain Network problems, here are a few trouble-shooting steps you may want to try:

Solving it by IPConfig:
1. IPConfig is a tool built into Windows,that displays all current TCP/IP network configuration values. You can access this tool via the command line.

2. Type 'cmd' in start search and press Ctrl-Shift-Enter. If you wish, you type ipconfig and hit Enter, to view the status of the computer’s Internet Protocol or IP address.

3. Type ipconfig /release to let go of the current IP address.

4. Next type ipconfig /renew to obtain a new IP address.

5. If you get an error Message When You Run the “Ipconfig /Renew” Command.

If you recurrently face this problem, then you can have it renewed on every start-up, by creating the following iprenew.bat file and placing it in your startup folder.

Open your notepad and type the following command:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

Save it as, say, iprenew.bat file.

Solving it by DNS:
Frequently, internet connection problems can also be traced to a corrupted DNS cache. Resetting or Flushing this cache is an easy fix to many of these problems. This is how to clear the DNS cache in Windows 7 or Vista.

1. Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt. Right click on it and ‘Run As Administrator’. Type the following and hit enter: "ipconfig /flushdns"

You should be able to see a confirmation dialog window: "Windows IP Configuration. Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache".

2. Next type "ipconfig /registerdns" and hit Enter. This registers any DNS records that you or some programs may have recorded in your Hosts file.

Diagnostic & Repair Tool: The Network & Internet Diagnostic & Repair Tool in Windows 7 & Vista will help you identify the potential issues preventing network connectivity, and it automatically takes appropriate steps toward correcting them. If a computer on the network loses Internet connectivity, you can graphically see which connection is down and then use Network Diagnostics to help determine the cause of the problem and find possible solutions.

To access it, open Control Panel > Network & Sharing Center. In the lower part, click on Troubleshoot Problems. From the windows which opens, you can select Internet Connections or any other issue you want to troubleshoot and repair.

Unable to open drive using double click?

Hi,

Some time it happens that if you will double click on any of you drives, it will unable to open, this happen due to some virus.Here is the process that will help to solve this problem, please follow the process...

Note: This below process is for C drive. Please check this same process where you are getting this problem.

1. C:\> attrib -r -s -h autorun.inf
2. C:\> del autorun.inf

Reboot your PC.

And here's the best and easiest suggestion.........

1. Open Start >> Run and type "regsvr32 /i shell32.dll"
2. Press Enter key
3. You will see a message "DllRegisterServer and DllInstall in shell32.dll succeeded" that it.
4. If possible then reboot your PC and check the effect.

Folder options disabled by Virus/Trojan

Hi,

Some time folder option are not able to seen File Menu > Tools in Windows Explorer on your Windows XP? This problem of hidden or disabled folder options occur normally due to malicious virus activity. The virus creates an entry in registry to disable “Folder Options” in Windows explorer.

There is number of method to solve the problem, let us see how we can fix it.

Method first:
In most of the cases, even if the virus is been already removed by your anti-virus program, it doesn’t restore the registry back to the original state. Also anti-virus usually does not delete the registry entry created by the virus.

For restoring the registry settings,follow the steps given below

Enable your folder options in explorer.

1. Go to Start > RUN
2. Type regedit and press enter.
3. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Policies > Explorer
Please see this below image for the help.....

4. On the right side of the screen, you can see some registry entry names, out of them, right-click on NoFolderOptions and click Modify option.
5.A new small screen pops up, on this screen, sen the value data field as 0 (zero).
6. Press OK.
7. That’s it but it requires reboot. Trouble Fixed.

Method Two:
1. Login as Administrator
2. Click Start > Run and type: regsvr32 /i shell32.dll
3. Close and re-open Folder Options.

Method Three:
The hidden files and folders in Windows Explorer may not be displayed even though you enable the Show hidden files and folders option in the Folder Options.

Also, when you go to open the Tools > Folder Options > View tab, both the radio buttons Do not show hidden files and folders and Show hidden files and folders may be enabled.

The above symptoms occur if the system is infected by Malware, which modifies the CheckedValue registry value in these branches:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Advanced \ Folder \ Hidden \ NOHIDDEN
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Advanced \ Folder \ Hidden \ SHOWALL

This ploy is used by many Viruses, so that the hidden file (malicious executable or script) won’t be displayed in Explorer.

Also note that some Viruses remove the above option altogether from the View tab of Folder Options applet.

To fix the above setting, download foldersettings.reg and save to Desktop. Right-click on the file and choose Merge. This fix can be applied in Windows XP as well as in Windows Vista systems.

Here is the process that how to Decompile all of the *.class file on local computer. I test it from http://java.decompiler.free.fr and now i paste it here. Follow the steps one by one....

1. Download: Open the URL http://java.decompiler.free.fr

2. Click on the menu "JD-GUI".

3. Scroll the page and go to the Downloads.

4. Download the file according to your operating system (like for window it will be jd-gui-0.3.3.windows.zip. Note: Your file name may be changed).

5. How to use JD-GUI: Suppose u want to decompile a file "Abcd.class", you can:
    a - execute the following command line : "jd-gui.exe Abcd.class".
    b - select "Open File ..." in "File" menu and browse to "Abcd.class".
    c - drag and drop "Abcd.class" onto "jd-gui".

6. Uninstallation
    a - Windows: Delete "jd-gui.exe" and "jd-gui.cfg".
    b - Linux: Delete "jd-gui" application file and "jd-gui.cfg".
    c - OSX: Drag and drop "JD-GUI" application to the trash.

7. Description: JD-GUI is a standalone graphical utility that displays Java source codes of ".class" files. You can browse the reconstructed source code with the JD-GUI for instant access to methods and fields.

JD-GUI is free for non-commercial use. This means that JD-GUI shall not be included or embedded into commercial software products. Nevertheless, JD-GUI may be freely used for personal needs in a commercial or non-commercial environments.

Open a text file, write this below code on text file...

Restore Missing/Disappeared Internet Explorer Icon

Hi .....

Users always re-create a normal shortcut to Internet Explorer browser to place on desktop. But as mentioned, the shortcut created will be the normal type with an arrow on the bottom left corner, has plenty more right click context menu items, and when select “Properties”, it’s shortcut properties that is been opened, and not Internet Options in the case of IE desktop icon.

This process prefer to resolve the issue manually, and test have been done with the window XP SP3. There are diffrent method for showing start menu, that is Start Menu & Classic start Menu. To solvet the problem perform the following action:

1. Click Start, Run.

2. Type regedit.

3. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel

Note: If HideDesktopIcons and NewStartPanel do not exist, create new registry keys for them.

4. In the right hand pane, double-click {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D} key (may be diffrent in your system).

If the registry value name does not exist, create a new DWORD value and name it as {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}.

5. Enter the word value data as 0 to enable the Internet Explorer icon on the Desktop.

For user who’re using Classic Start Menu, replace NewStartPanel with ClassicStartMenu instead so that the registry key location is as follow:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\ClassicStartMenu

Other steps are exactly the same with the above. Refresh/Restart the Computer and then see the change.

Important Notes:

In the [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\HideDesktopIcons\NewStartPanel] there are several GUIDs, one for each of the icons. A value of 0x0 will show the icon, 0x1 will hide it.

My Computer: {20D04FE0-3AEA-1069-A2D8-08002B30309D}

How to Handling the epoch in java?

Steps:

1. Get the current epoch time

MySQL: Too many connection errors

Hi All,

I was trying to connect to a MySQL server at work and I got connection fail “Too many connections".

The most common problem is because MySQL has too many open client being connected to it at the same time. MySQL has a system variable called max_connections. If you have it set up at 100, MySQL will have 101 connections. The last one is reserved for super user. That makes sense because you’ll need to connect as super user to do maintenance on these kinds of problems.

Here’s how to find out what’s max_connections variable is set to and how to see connected clients. Off course, you have to login as super user first.

-- This command will return you the value of max_connections variable
mysql> SHOW VARIABLES LIKE '%max_connections%';

-- This command will show you all processes and connections.
mysql> SHOW FULL PROCESSLIST;

So if you run the first command and it returned you 100, then you run this 2nd command and it returns 100 rows, then you really got some problems. There are 2 ways to solve this problem...

1. Increase max_connections variable to like 200 or some other number higher than 100. However, I like to use this as last resource. I would re-asses my usage and see if I really need more than 100 connections. If I do, then there’s no other ways around it. Increase the number and perhaps add more power to your hardware as well.
2. Rework your application. Try to use connection pooling. Or maybe caching is a solution to lessen the load on database.

Lastly, if you really need to increase your maximum connections, you can execute the following command while logged in as super user.
-- Change 200 to some other number you desire.
mysql> SET GLOBAL max_connections = 200;

Another option is to add the following line in your my.cnf configuration file under [mysqld] section.
max_connections = 200

This max_connections = 200 value can be changed up to your need.

Mysql: Table Maximum size

When a MyISAM table grows large enough, you'll encounter the dreaded "The table is full" error. Now I could simply point at that page and leave this subject alone, but there's more to this story.

To protect yourself in the future, use the MAX_ROWS and AVG_ROW_LENGTH options at CREATE TABLE time if the table is likely to get big.

Where does this limit come from?

In a MyISAM table with dynamic (variable length) rows, the index file for the table (tablename.MYI) stores row locations using 32-bit pointers into the data file (tablename.MYD).

An Example: Here's a table that you might use to store 'EventData' data:

Windows cannot start the Windows Firewall/ICS service

To install Windows Firewall call the "Setup API InstallHinfSection" function

1. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
2. At the command prompt, type the following command line, and then press ENTER:

Rundll32 setupapi,InstallHinfSection Ndi-Steelhead 132 %windir%\inf\netrass.inf

3. Restart Windows,
4. Click Start, click Run, type cmd, and then click OK.
5. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
Netsh firewall reset

6.Click Start, click Run, type firewall.cpl, and then press ENTER. In the Windows Firewall dialog box, click On (recommended), and then click OK.

To verify that the Windows Firewall service is started, follow these steps:
1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.
2. In the list of services, locate Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS). Notice that the status of the service is Started.

Note: This problem is caused by a missing or corrupted "SharedAccess.reg" file. The SharedAccess.reg file represents the Windows Firewall service.

Recently I wrote a few posts about how to Clear the Outlook Auto Complete Cache and How to Fix a problem where the Outlook Auto Complete cache was REALLY slow. BUT, what if you just want to disable the Auto Complete functionality?

The task is simple. Just follow these 3 easy steps for both Microsoft Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003.

1. Open your microsoft Outlook
2. See "Tools" menu on the top.
2. Select "Tools" Menu and Click on the "Options".
3. On the "Preferences" tab click "E-mail Options.." buton.
4. Click on the "Advance E-mil Options.." button.
5. See the column "When Sending a message".
6. Check/Clear the "Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields" check box.

and so you are able to auto complete email address.

Eclipse - Eliminate Dead Code

To start removing unused code from ypur project, please follow these steps:

1. Download version 1.4.0 (for Eclipse 3.x) of the Eclipse Core Tools from this update site: http://www.eclipse.org/eclipse/platform-core/downloads.php

2. Unzip this zip file and copy the *.jar file from this plugins folder.

3. Open Eclipde directory and go into plugin folfer past all the *.jar files here.

4. In the context menu select Find Unreferenced Members. The results will be shown in the Search view.

5. Remove unreferenced code, but be very carefull here! Some code may appear unreferenced, that in fact isn't.
a. code that is contributed through extension-points
b. code that is invoked through reflection

6. Some code may be unreferenced, but there might be good reasons for keeping it:
a. unreferenced code that is API
b. unreferenced fields in Serializable classes
c. private constructors

7. Repeat steps 2 - 4 as often as necessary.

Execute SQL Scripts using sh file

1. Open a new text file.
2. type as:

sqlplus $DatabaseUserName>/$DatabasePassword>@$DatabaseName> @Full path of the *.sql file name

in this new text file.

Example:

3. Save this file as test.sh (some othere name as you wish), this is the shell script file.
4. This file is ready to run as a sh file.

Speed Up Your Firefox - Adjust Your HTTP Pipeline

2. Type “about:config” into the address bar and press enter.
3. On the window see at “I'll be careful, I promise!”, click on this button.
4. Type “network.http.*pipe” in the filter field
5. Double click “network.http.pipelining”. The “False” value will automatically change to “True” Value.
6. Double click “network.http.proxy.pipelining”. The “False” value will automatically change to “True” Value.
7. Double click “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests”, change it as 25. By entering 25, this means it will make 25 requests at once to the responding server.
8. Double click “network.http.ssl”, The “False” value will automatically change to “True” Value.

Check Spelling for Eclipse

3. Type "dict" in the text box
4. Select "Spelling"
5. Uncheck the Option "enable Spell Checking".
6. Click on Apply button

Eclipse Error: Access restriction

Solution.....
1. Open Eclipse
2. Go to Project tab
3. Select properties
4. Go on Java Compile
5. Select Error/Warnings
6. Then enable project specific settings,
7. Expand Deprecated and restrited APIs category
8. Go on Forbidden reference (acess rule):
9. Change to warning or ignore.
10. Click on Apply
11. Click on OK.

Now you are able to work.. :)
