Hi Anil:

I have tried with same syntax whatever u told.., but the thing is that.., whenever i am trying to assign new stylecolor( any color ) it is not taking with newly assign color.., by default for all it is showing white color only.after assigning., even i tried this wth one front by creating wthglade ....,but again it is showing white only.., even i tried to copy this newly created style (submenu widget color) into default style..and , but no inprovemnt .., since i have done this for desktop application but same thinngs doesnot work on target ...(cross compiling applicaton)..,

1. Multiline Text Widget

Here you can learn how to create a simple multiline text widget, using GtkTextView, for data entry.

The widget is created using

GtkWidget *gtk_text_view_new();

When the GtkTextView widget is created this way, a GtkTextBuffer object associated with this widget is also created. The GtkTextBuffer is responsible for storing the text and associated attributes, while the GtkTextView widget is responsible for displaying the text ie. it provides an I/O interface to buffer.

you can set the FG and BG color of any widget using style object

I have downloaded one package from net for implementing GTKGRID , but i cant able to install that , after ./configure command, when i gave make or make install command ,"make: *** No rule to make target `install'. Stop." this error is coming, please help me in installing this.

A dialog window with textview has been created.

And using the function "write_status_1" text message has been added in the text view. After displaying more than 400 messages we get the following error and the application crashes with the following error.

(ccapp:2659): Gtk-WARNING **: Invalid text buffer iterator: either the iterator is uninitialized, or the characters/pixbufs/widgets in the buffer have been modified since the iterator was created.
You must use marks, character numbers, or line numbers to preserve a position across buffer modifications.
