WILLIE ESTERHUIZEN (FOUNDER)

2021-04-26T16:00:00.009+02:00

1956-03-28 : 2020-10-17

For the 21 years that God gave Willie extra time since he took ill in 1999 (the year Guardian Angels were founded), he lived for God's work, for his club members and for the community. Loved and respected by his members, he preached the Word as it was from the Bible, nothing less, nothing more. He believed that, doing it in any other way, you are a false profit. Some hated him for that, tried their best to lift him out of his seat as leader of Guardian Angels Mcc, but his firm believes kept him going till the end

He opened up his heart and everything he owned, to all of those that needed God's word. Pietersdeel, the farm that he surrendered to God as basis for his work, became the clubhouse and Bikers Chapel for members and the community, and the annual CATS Rally was held here as tribute for God's grace. In 2020 we had the last rally, then came Covid19, and then Willie's departure October 2020. He knew it was time, and said his goodbye's to family and friends in Namakwaland where he was born and raised, came back and took his wife on a final meal for their 46th anniversary, then prepared for his operation.

God took him home at 21:00 Saturday the 17th October 2020. His departure was sudden, and we morn his death, but rejoice his everlasting life! Gone but not forgotten, and to God the glory!

To Peet Schoeman (Kimberley) who is now taking over as National President, and Peet Malan (Far East) as National Vise-President - may God give you wisdom and passion for the road ahead

Willie and Trudie Esterhuizen - Founders

When God called upon us in 1999 to start a Christian Motorcycle Club,
we did not hesitate. We knew what we needed to do, and that God would
show the way. On the 23rd March 1999 we affiliated Guardian Angels
with CMA and started our journey as leaders of the Bethlehem Chapter.
On 13 November 1999 Willie became seriously ill and ended up in ICU
for 54 days, and I was left to fill his shoes for nearly a year. His recovery
was long and painful, but we had God's promise that He will never leave
our side. What a journey in faith!

January 2001 we had our first CATS Rally in Golden Gate, where CMA
leaders informed us to be in Johannesburg the next weekend for an urgent
meeting with all leaders. By the time we got to the CMA Bikers Church
for the meeting, we already knew that we were to go our separate ways.
The announcement at the meeting that we were to remove all badges other
than those of CMA and that no other name than CMA is to be displayed in
future, came as no surprise, and we had no doubt - the only way was GOD'S
way! And we never looked back. What an awesome God we serve! We now
have 8 active clubs and 180 members and cannot thank God enough for all the
wonderful people that crossed our path during the past 20 years.

What keeps us all together? LOVE - for God, for each other, for our
communities, for people and of course, for our bikes! We celebrate our 20th
anniversary this year, and pray God's blessing over all members for the years
to come.

Be Blessed!

Christians Addicted To Salvation

How great is our God! When he gave us this name in 2001 we knew He
had a plan, but just how big this plan would become, we could not imagine.
Our annual rally is a mind blowing experience with the Holy Spirit - not
once the same, full of surprises. With lots of tears, testimonies and strong
Word, we never go home empty handed! And to God the glory!!

What a sad, sad day for Guardian Angels . . . we are in mourning
for a husband, father and friend - a true warrior for Christ.
Our prayers be with Lindi and the family.

Not another biker that went down, but a biker that went UP!
He will be dearly missed by all

it's intensity always comes as a big surprise for
newcomers - February of each year is the main event
with September normally a smaller crowd and very
intimate. But always an awesome weekend!!

to as the quiet one, Ria was so proud of her badge and being
a biker for Jesus! We can never forget her laugh and the
eagerness to give input into club activities. As the first Guardian
Angel layed to rest, her death was a tremendous shock for all our
members at the time. She will be dearly missed.

DAWID GREEFF : KEETMANSHOOP NAMIBIe

17 May 1956 - 6 April 2003

As appointed leader for the Namibie group, Dawid was a businessman with a passion for God's work - but his vision to start a club in Namibie never came to life. Shortly after receiving their badges, he and two very dear friends attended a Woord & Aksie camp in Okahandja and was returning home the Sunday evening when they were all killed in a motorcar accident near Mariental. Younger brother of Trudie
Esterhuizen (National Secretary), he was married to Susan with 3
children and 2 grandchildren. He died on the birthday of his youngest
grandchild.

ANDRE : BOKSBURG (no photo available)
Died 2005/09/07

Andre died on his way to the Faith Rally in Shelley Beach, swerving out for a boy running across the road. The bikers in the group were stunned, trying to revive Andre till the ambulance arrived. At this point they knew that Andre did his final walk - and that Jesus died for Bikers too ! Andre died three months after his son who also died in a accident, driving his son's bike.

JANA ESTERHUIZEN - BETHLEHEM

Jana was firstborn daughter of Jaco & Charlene Esterhuizen (son of Willie & Trudie Esterhuizen : National President & Secretary) and she arrived on 7 months, when mom Charlene fell ill and she was brought into life by cesarean. It was a stressful 18 days before Jana lost her will to live, and the Esterhuizen family had to except God's way, and that an Angel

passed them by for only a little while. Jana was layed to rest at

                                                    Angels Haven.

RIAN : BOKSBURG

9 March 1957 - 27 May 2006

Riaan had heart problems, but refused to let this keep him from enjoying life to the fullest. He had a heart attack on his bike, then stopped and had a second one. He passed away after two weeks in ICU, and we knew that God called him home. A respected member of his club, he whore the colours for a short while only, but made his mark - his absence will be felt.

"Don't cry and grieve for me, no, be happy : for my soul is free! Miss me for a while, but not for long - miss me, but please, let me go. For this is God's master plan."

Sunday 21 October 2012 was a
day for praise and worship at the
Bikers Chapel in Bethlehem -
Barries stood up from his wheelchair
and walked towards Willie with tears

walk again after 12 years!"
Still unsteady, but walking without

After the tragedy of Fanie Coetzee's

as Vise President. Congratulations to
both of them, and we pray that they will
lead the group with wisdom and dignity!
Our best wishes to ALL members at
East Rand - we pray that you will grow from strength to strength!
