There’s nothing better than looking back at your memorable summer once the party-hopping and beach bumming is all said and done. All photos by Rob Rich] The Ferrari was the official car of the Hamptons this summer as it took over the roads Saturday afternoon for the First Annual Ferrari Hamptons Rally. Hamptonite Ferrari owners lunched at Georgica in East Hampton to mingle and talk shop before parading their Italian speedsters all over the East End. Guests included Richard Johnson, DJ Mel DeBarge, rally co-host and founder Nathaniel Christian, tons of Ferrari fans wanting a close look at the sexy sports cars, and Georgica’s very own David Schulman, Chef Robert Hesse, and Antonio Fuccio.

If You Enjoyed The Montauk Yacht Club This Summer, Wait Until You See What They Have Planned For Next Year

Did you get a chance to check out the beautiful grounds of the Montauk Yacht Club this summer either to party at an event on the Great Lawn or to escape the Hamptons fuss at one of their private water-front bungalows? The club revealed it’s newly multi-million dollar makeover just in time to celebrate the 80th anniversary in June and now they’re ready to spend more. Next, they plan to build an additional 48,000 square feet of luxury condos to go right along with their newly renovated property…That might be great news for those of you who consider owning your own piece of the Yacht Club a dream come true, but environmental advocates along with Montauk community members aren’t exactly thrilled with the massive additions to the historic property and the impact it will make on Lake Montauk. What do you think about MYC’s plans to expand?

The Jitney made our final pick for car of the day because there’s no denying it was the most popular vehicle in the Hamptons this summer rescuing many of you from the hot sticky city streets for an escape to the East End. It has been there for us all through good trips and bad (like that time you were stuck sitting next to the bathroom with a screaming toddler, behind a couple swapping spit, during rush hour traffic on the LIE for example)… But it’s safe to say we would not have survived the summer without it. Anyone with a memorable Hamptons/NYC bound Jitney story to share?

“Best 2k I Ever Spent!” Waiting In Line For The Last Drink Of Summer At Surf Lodge

[All photos by ROB RICH] We’ve all been there. Especially on a Saturday night and especially at Surf Lodge. But since the end of summer arrived last weekend along with the end of Surf Lodge’s season, getting to the bar by pushing your way through 6-foot surfer dudes and groups of dancing Montaukers was totally worth the “so packed I can’t move” crowd. The Montauk chill spot was a favorite for almost everyone heading East this summer (including GofGHamptons), so appreciating every bit of time there during Labor Day weekend was a must even if that meant starting your own bar-side party during your neverending wait for a drink like this group above. They wasted no time celebrating the end of summer…

How To End Your Summer With A Summer Share Pool Party

We managed to skip out on the summer share experience this summer having heard our fair share of great and not-so-great stories about the packed party dens full of people you know, some you don’t, and others you get to know a little too well. Needless to say, it looks like we were missing out. Here’s a look inside the Hamptons Holidays house in Bridgehampton which played host to a Labor Day pool party over the weekend. Share house tenants and guests splashed around all day with drinks in hand, a water limbo tournament in place, food on the grill, DJ on deck, and dozens of summer share party-goers gearing up for their last weekend of summer…Tear.

Packing Up Shop To New York City…

Remember your maiden voyage out to the Hamptons at the start of the summer? It was probably Memorial Day, you probably had too many people in your car, and the traffic was probably too much too handle. For us: Check, check and check, as you can see here by this pic of the GofG-mobile… If you haven’t picked up by now in one of our other posts, we head back to NYC today, but unlike the rest of you, it’s not Labor Day, our car will be practically empty, and there will be little to no traffic since it’s Wednesday. However, we do have to lug about three months worth of our lives back to the city. So wish us luck folks! And don’t you worry! Just because we’ll no longer be in the Hamptons full-time doesn’t mean GofG Hamptons will cease to exist. It putters on for a bit after today.
