I tried one of those online survey sites about 4 months ago that
say all you have to do is spend a couple of minutes filling out

3) My Week - Offline Comes Online

This week I discovered that New Zealand can have better weather
than the Gold Coast. While we are getting washed away, the
weather in Wellington was wonderful and sunny. I also discovered
with NZ 3 hours ahead of us, I got up almost before I went to bed
to catch a flight home!

Offline businesses are really starting to work at their online
marketing. As online marketers we take for granted that everyone
knows how we do it. But, the business world is only just starting
to press forward with consistent effort to draw clients from the
search engines and they're eager to learn what we know. I had a
great time sharing some of these skills at a conference, making
new friends and doing my best to help them use the Internet
effectively for lead generation.

Online, I've been testing some new Wordpress templates which are
ranking well and also doing it quickly. I've been targeting local
niches rather than the huge international ones. It's amazing what
affiliate products you can promote to a local audience. It's
worth looking at what opportunities are availiable for you to

Have you ever had a problem where you don't know which way to go
on a project? I hit a wall this week and quite frankly was
banging my head against it. That was until my Mastermind group

3) My Week - Pink Balloons

What can I say? It's a mad rush this week because I'm off to New
Zealand next week to speak at a conference in Wellington.
Finalising my presentation and preparing handouts for a breakout

Leveraging your time is one of the most important
things that you can do if you want to increase your
affiliate business profits. Learning how to take one
piece of content and use it over and over not only
saves you time but it saves brain space as well.

This week I'll discuss at how you can recycle your
articles into YouTube videos to not only suck traffic
from YouTube but also the search engines.

It's hard work to write new content all the time so
why not take something that you have already written
and use it in a different form. From video, you can
rip audio. From a website, you can make a standalone
promotional CD. From written instructions, you can
sell a "done for you" solution. There is no end to
the ways that you can recycle your content.

3) My Week - iPads, iPods, iLike!

A week goes past so fast. It only seems like yesterday that I was
writing about my last week! I suppose before we turn around
twice, it will be New Year's Eve.

For anyone contemplating buying an iPad, I say go for it. It's
one of the best investments that I have made in recent years.
Even if you bought one just to read the PDF files you have
collected, you would get your value out of it.

Now, instead of loads of ebooks and files gathering dust on my
desktop because it's too hard to read on the screen or I don't
want to tear down a forest to print them all, I can just load
them up via Dropbox and read them wherever I am.

I have got so much more learning done in the last few months.
Better still, when there is a link in a file, you can click it
and pop over to the mentioned site for a look. It also means that
I can quickly run over the forums, check the latest conversations
and more when lying in bed. It's definitely more interesting than
what's on TV after 10.30 at night.

Like every week, this one's been busy. There's nothing like a
having a sick family and being sick yourself to make you realize
how much you like having an online business. Not having to crawl
into work and sit there when you should be in bed is such a
pleasure. We're all well now, thank goodness, and looking forward
to summer.

In my own web work this week, I have been recording videos about
WordPress using Camtasia. What a great program Camtasia is!
Version 7 has so many features and it's so easy to operate. If
you've never tried screen recording software before, download the
trial from Techsmith.com. It will open your mind to a huge range
of possibilities.

BTW thanks for all your positive feedback on our YouTube channel
and our Facebook page. I know that keeping up to date via social
media can be easier at times. Although I can't see it replacing

3) My Week - It's Always About Traffic
===============================================

I spent last weekend at a traffic conference and it reinforced
what we all know. You can have the best offer and the best
website but without traffic, you're the only one who's going to
enjoy looking at it.

It was really interesting to sit in the crowd and see the
different ways that the speakers approached traffic getting.
There was the instant traffic, the long term plan, social media
traffic, webinars and more.

I'm hoping to bring you some interviews and webinars with a
couple of these speakers in the future.

One thing's for sure, there is no right way to get traffic just
your way of doing it.

One thing I can tell you though, people who try to do them all go
no where. It's like trying to get a car out of a mud puddle. You
just sit there and spin your wheels.

It was very clear that each successful marketer, and many were
affiliate marketers, chose one method of traffic building and
perfected it BEFORE moving on to an additional method.

2) My Week - From speaking to spinning
======================================

This week I've been as busy as ever. On Friday I presented at the
Australian Institute of Professional Facilitators conference in
Brisbane, Australia. It was a great group to work with and they
seemed to enjoy my "10 Tips to Rocketing your Small Business
Website up the Search Engines‚Äù talk. Hopefully some of those
tips will increase their lead generation and they'll see how
powerful the Internet is as a tool for an offline business.

On the Internet marketing front, I've been reading some very
interesting reports on article writing that I am hoping to bring
to you in the next month. There were some really good ideas on
how to make article directory sites work much more effectively in
driving direct traffic rather than just link building. It
switched my thinking around a bit.

I've also been playing with a range of software such as article
spinners and seeing how far I can push them to make quality
content that the search engines and humans will both like. The
database merge facility is making my head swim with possibilities
from an SEO point of view. Hmmm... Misspelled keyword articles.
