This is a huge problem in this country right now. The govt is loving it! People who purchased homes say 10 years ago, say they bought it for 500k and been struggling every month to pay that mortgage, eating corn dogs and noodles just to get by. Then that Sub prime mortgage scam that liberal politicians comes along and they force banks to give the loans out, even thought Banks know it will destroy them. The people getting the sub prime loans, really can't afford it, they buy big huge homes and are not thinking rationally how to pay for it. They end getting the home, but can't afford it and end up losing the home, but all that time those banks were not getting paid for that loan, and went in debt . So then the GOVT comes along- "Hey we will help with hard working peoples tax dollars and bail you out" Then the banks are like- Well if that's the only way to save our bank and all the jobs we provide Okay. But the Govt give them demands- now if this happens again, we will operate and regulate your business ( Even though we suck at business and that's why we became politicians) In or not in?

So those people now there home is worth half because nobody else can afford to buy homes, or they just can't get a loan to buy a home because Govt regulated the banks so much, its destroying the value of our homes. If there isn't jobs, and everything is costing everyone more money, they stay put or move into a apartment thats cheaper so they can afford to live.
Govt has destroyed so many peoples lives! Its SCARY!

So what you are saying is that the Bush Administration caused housing prices to be artificially DOUBLE what they really were worth? Because otherwise you would be saying that the Obama Administration has artificially SUPPRESSED houses prices enabling more Americans to own their own homes…

Not really sure where you thought you were going with this, especially since home prices are set by the FREE MARKET, and the Administration (whoever it is) has little to nothing to do with it!

I don't think there is a job that u may get that amount from fast …. but i have a solution for that.
Namely, solution i used to do when was ur age. Simply , make a bet with ur father for the next coming quiz or exam that u will get e.g. the full mark in the exam for that amount of money and see how will he react .
Another solution would be ……… buying stuff from outside your school Note: must not be available in your school …… but u will have to buy punch of 'em and i would recommend u buy from a wholesaler then re-sell it i ur skill XD (one of my friends used to do that ) .

I have a job interview on Monday at 4 at a place called Plaster Fun Time. It's like a pottery place for children and they have painting parties too.

I filled out an application because they are now hiring and the manager said to come in for an interview on Monday. I've never had a job interview before because I am only 15.

What questions should I be ready for? What should I ask or expect to be asked? Any last minute tips either?

I'm really nervous because she had a whole stack of applications so I don't know what my chances are

I would ask what you currently do. Have you ever worked or done anything related to pottery. Relaxe. Nobody ever dropped dead in my office and niether will you.

Most important on what NOT TO DO:
Don't show up with your friend. Go alone. I don't need your friends hanging around my office once your employed. I want to see some independence

Don't show up it ragged jeans, purple hair and a nose ring. (first impressions may be your last with me)

Don't ask about vacation time and how much you will be paid. (i'll tell you, if I'm interested)

Turn your cell phone OFF. not on vibrate – I hear it. I need you on my clock – not your phone.

Ask about what all you will get to do. What about advancement. What about being full time, weekends and evening work available… I want to see that you're interested in my company and being a part of our family.

Ive done a LOT of applications for jobs withing the past couple of weeks (Terminex, Lowes, Home Depot etc.) and i was wondering do anybody actually checks the online applications. Or is it just a waste of time and I should walk in and put in an application face to face

Currently still on Unemployment in the state of Louisiana. Cant prove discrimination, but did remove year of graduation from High School from my resume.

I changed careers at age 49 and so I have been there. There are several ways to look at this. Eventually, you will find an employer that views your life experience as a plus.

Right now a lot of people are looking for work and so it does not surprise me that you have had a tough time. If you are getting interviews and then not getting hired then that is certainly a possiblity of age discrimination. If you are not even getting interviews, after you removed the HS graduation year, then you have to join the club of many others in the same boat.

You might check and see if you can qualify for some educational assistance. Going to a city college could help your resume and also put you in contact with other people who have jobs already and can help you find one.
