It is 10% Glycolic Acid and has a pH of 5.0, which means it is effective as a gentle exfoliator. The most important thing to know about this cleanser is that when you add water, it changes the pH and the Glycolic Acid is not as effective. To use it properly it needs to be applied to dry skin with dry hands. You can allow it to sit on the skin for extra exfoliation. What I do is apply the cleanser and let it remain on my face while I brush my teeth. Then I wet my hands and finish washing my face. You can also apply it to your dry face before you get in the shower.</p>
