Zong Qinghou is now the wealthiest man in China having a personal fortune of $12bn  among the 1363 yuan billionaires of the country.

Zong,65 is the owner of one of the most popular soft drink brand of China, Wahaha and is known for defeating French soft drink giant Danone in a long battle to continue  his monopoly in large volume Chinese soft drink market.

Hurun rich list is counted as most authoritive data for richest people of China just like Forbes world wide.Accroding to the list, China has now 1363 total yuan billionaires compared to 1000 last year and is perhaps the country having biggest number of billionaires in the world.

Zong was at 12^th position in the list last year and jumped to the top position in richest people’s list with nearly $1.5 bn of profits made by his company this year with 30,000 employees working for the company.

Danone previously entered in Chinese market through a joint venture with Zong but sold its 51 percent shares to Zong for just € 300m after a long dispute which was the highest amounted dispute of foreign investment in China.

Dispute started after the allegations from Danone that Zong opened up twelve new brands parallel to the joint venture between them to keep up his dominance in Chinese soft drink market.Zong known as Drink King emerged as clear winner in the battle after getting total control of joint venture for very less price.

Rich list suggests that soft drink market is more lucrative in China compared to real estate sector as this is the first time that no property baron has managed to spot in top five of Hurun rich list.

Highly popular movie star of 50’s and 60’s, Curtis acted in 140 mainstream movies produced by major production houses of that era and was nominated for Oscar along with co-star Sidney Poitier for the movie ‘The Defiant Ones’ of 1958.

U.S. House of Representatives finally passed the bill Wednesday which allows U.S Commerce Department to impose duties on the goods from countries having undervalued currency.

U.S. has accused China of practicing unfair currency exchange policy which makes Chinese currency Yuen cheaper compared to Dollar to showcase high exports for economy of China.

The bill was passed by 348 to 79 vote sharing and was largely supported by both Democrats and Republicans.

This can be the only answer to China’s unlawful trade policy which has resulted in thousands of job loss in America, echoed members of House after bill got successfully passed in House.

U.S. business community raised its voice loudly after more adverse steps taken by China last month in its currency exchange policy. Chinese goods go on sale at cheaper rates in US markets with undervalued Chinese currency, Yuen and making US goods costlier in Chinese market likewise.US House members and business community has claimed that country saw large number of job losses in manufacturing sector due to deliberately unfair trade policy of China.

US has demanded at least 20% appreciation in yuen from China and the same point was put by President Obama in meeting with Chinese premier Wen Jiabao which happened  last week in sidelines of U.N General Assembly meeting in Washington.

Wen promised to continue currency reforms to square up the recent currency issue with US but at the same time argued that US demand of Yuen appreciation will lead many Chinese companies go bankrupt creating major unrest in the country.

Some House members said after the voting that it seemed never ending bluff game from China if we don’t take any action.US kept observing job losses depending on the false promises from Chinese side but currency reforms were never made in sufficient amount.

A joint statement by Butt and England board chairman Gilles Clarke was released on official website of England and Wales Cricket board expressing apology from Butt.

It was not his intention to question spirit of English players towards the game and it is regretful that his statement of 17 September was misinterpreted, Butt said in the statement.

He is withdrawing the remarks he made after the Oval ODI on 17 September and wishes closing of the chapter now, Butt told in statement.

It is quite clear that Butt took a complete turn from his earlier statement though he claims to be misunderstood in his apology statement.

The important information regarding possible havoc in Europe was provided by an Afghan origin man from Germany who was captured in Kabul last July and then was sent to U.S custody with charges of involvement inn terrorist activities against Europe and U.S.

Man called Ahmed Sidiqi went to Afghanistan from Hamburg of Germany to take part in a terrorist training camp, according to information he provided to U.S officials under custody where he also revealed the plan to create Mumbai-type havoc of 2008 in number of European cities.

Sidiqi Joined an extremist group allied with Al-Qaeda called Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan with some other Germans possibly of Afghan origin, according to German intelligence official.Sidiqi was a resident of Hamburg working for a cleaning company at Hamburg International Airport, German official said.

Sidiqi was a frequent visitor at a Hamburg mosque called Masjid Taiba which came under scanner after 9/11 attacks of 2001 on Ney York and Washington and was previously know as Al-Quds mosque. This mosque had been used by 9/11 attackers to make terror plans, according to information collected by German intelligence department. Mohammad Atta who made first plane to crash on World Trade Centre had also attended the mosque of Hamburg and Sidiqi was among Atta’s circle. Germany ordered to shut down this mosque after Sidiqi’s capture in July.

National Intelligence Director James Clapper not opened up much regarding Sidiqi’s capture and Mumbai-type terror plot for Europe but he said Al Qaeda’s high wish to attack U.S. and Europe is known to us.

Intelligence reports suggest that Al Qaeda is using more people with western passports in terror plots. German government has also expressed its concern regarding increasing involvement of German passport holders in terrorist activities now days.

Lucas has already made an announcement to reproduce complete Star Wars series in 3D.

Work has already started for the venture and Lucas wants to release 3D version of first movie of the series Star Wars Episode 1-The Phantom Menace in summers of 2012.

3D movies have a great future witnessing the major successes achieved by 3D versions in last one year, argues a Hollywood trade analyst.

James Cameron’s Avatar was a huge hit world wide in 3D version too, breaking number of movie records.

This year’s 3D releases Alice in Wonderland, Shrek forever After and Toy Story 3 have proven to be big hits in theatres producing millions of business at Box Office.

Box Office income in UK increased by 8% due to 3D movies according to financial data available which indicates increase in 3D movie releases in coming days.

Lucas said that he would have released 3D version of Star Wars saga even earlier but couldn’t do it as very less number of screens were available at that time.

First Star Wars movie of the series was out in theaters in 1977 witnessing long queue of audience to buy tickets even before day of its release. Lucas, highly encouraged by the unprecedented success of the movie went on to direct prequels of the movie too making it Star War Series.

The announcement to convert Star Wars series in to 3D has though not delighted everyone. Some expressed fear that 3D version may vanish the basic purpose and theme of an already hugely popular movie.

Nearly 650 feet wide hill begun to slide due to heavy rainfall in the interior small town Santa Maria Tlahuiltotepec  located in Oaxaca state of Southern Mexico resulting in a flow of mud in the volume of thousands of tons which took nearly 300 homes into its grip.

Governor of Oaxaca state said that the exact number is not known yet but death toll may go up to 1000 seeing the immensity of incident.

Rescue efforts have started to save the as many people as possible with required vehicles and equipments being sent to the site of hazard on the war front basis, Governor said to media while providing the information about state response towards the disastrous calamity.

Rescue teams are facing difficulties to reach in the area full of rocks and hills and heavy rainfall since last three weeks have made task more challenging, according to local authorities.

Santa Maria Tlahuiltotepec, the town site of the disaster is interior rural area of the state Oaxaca, nearly 182 miles away from the state capital Ciudad de Oaxaca. It is comparatively a poor area with 40 percent residents of the town from total population of 8,500 is illiterate, according to data provided by a local educational institution. There was no electricity even in 43% homes of the town about ten years ago and nearly 17 percent homes were without basic water facilities inside.

Satellite pictures suggest that the area witnessed heavy rainfall of over 12 inches in last three days. Large number of homes is built on the edges of steep hills which are located nearly 2500 ft high of sea level putting these homes under highly possible threat of landslide in bad weather conditions.

George Mitchell will discuss the next possibilities after Israel’s restart of settlement building work in West Bank with both the parties which is the main reason for talks falling in to standstill mode.

U.S. state department spoke person said that the disappointment is there at U.S. side for the present status of Mideast peace talks but we will continue our efforts to keep both the sides at the table.

U.S. secretary of State Hillary Clinton had made high efforts for the resumption of Mideast peace talks which broke down 18 months ago. Hillary even had proposed a plan of three months of extension for the halt status of settlement building work in West Bank but Israel rejected it and work is right now going on in West Bank region. Palestine Authority head Mahmaud Abbas reiterated their stand of walking out from peace talks if Israel restarted settlement building work in West Bank in a radio interview.

Abbas though had made no announcement of immediate stepping back of Palestine from the peace talks. He said that the issue will be first discussed with his Fatah party and Arab League which is meeting next week.

This is the great opportunity for people of both the country to reach on a peace agreement and there may be no another chance after it, Abbas keenly said.

Israel Prime Minister appealed to Abbas to stay in peace talks after Israel didn’t agree to extend the halt status of building work in West Bank. On the other hand, Palestine leader urged Netanyahu to extend the halt status of work for three to four months as talk continues.

Unions of as many as 36 European countries have called for a strike on Wednesday against some steps by governments like salary cut and in demand of more jobs for the workers.

Wednesday strike by European unions is organised by European Trade Union Confederation (ETUC), one of the biggest worker union body of Europe having nearly 60 million members according to sources.

Rallies inspired by ETUC are planned in countries like France, Italy, Portugal, Ireland ,Poland, Romania, Lativia,Serbia,Cyprus, Czech Republic, Lithuania expected to be joined by 1,00,000 demonstrators.

Western Europe is passing though worst economical crisis after Second World War according to ETUC general secretary John Monk. Job and salary cuts in such difficult time of recession are against fundamentals of worker rights and we must fight it, Monk said in support of the decision to strike.

ETUC inspired worker protests of Wednesday will give more strength to general strike by workers in Spain.

Large government deficits forced government in Spain to take some tough measures including salary cut of government workers and provisions of new pension reforms. Unions are not agreed to consume the new reforms arguing that lay off workers from their jobs will be easier for government under provisions of new reforms.

Government of Spain though haven’t showed any sign to roll back from reforms saying that tough measures are necessary to cut deficits and bring out economy from recession.

Unemployment rate in Spain is nearly 20% which is highest among European countries using euro as currency.

Some media survey suggest that only 9 percent workers will mark their absence at job to stay with rallies though Wednesday strike is publicized highly.
