Below is the discussion and the answers they have given…

Do you know any songs that are real songs, but good beginner songs on a acoustic guitar? Could you include link too? Thanks! Answers

Rhonda :
Early Beatles’ songs are simple and easy to learn. I learned to play the violin by listening to the melody and playing it while I practiced. As they became more advanced, so did their music.

Best wishes. Roger R :
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
La Bamba
That one song from the white stripes. kat i : (2 years ago)
Yes, Beatles and most any oldies songs are pretty easy to play. Lots of Oasis and Green Day songs are pretty easy too.

Over the hills and far away – Led Zepplin
…then again, maybe not.

Most Beatles songs are easy.

don’t know any links, and don’t know what music u like but go to some guitar tab sites and browse thru, if u know G, C, and D u can play just about anything All I Can Do Is Write it in a Song by Lynyrd Skynyrd is a good one to learn on especially if u r learning to play and sing at the same time Josh S : (2 years ago)

I have found the about any Eagles songs are easy chords and easy to play for beginners. I learnd a lot from them. Listen to the songs as you play it. dark.axx… : (2 years ago)

Everyone’s first song is “Smoke on the Water”. Tom : (2 years ago)

try some nirvana. in bloom & come as you are

‘if you tolerate this’
‘high and dry’

k, when playing rock songs use the power chord shape at first, ie.

E| 0 1 2 3
A| 2 3 4 5

The 1,3 chord is the hardest (F) because you have to spread your fingers the most. but from then on it gets easier. start off playing only the bass note, one string& one note at a time, then turn it into a chord. ‘high and dry’ is simple: B, F#, E the whole way thru. keep practising, it’s the only way to build up the strength in your hands..

How to Read and Understand Guitar Notes to be a Professional Guitarist…

If you are interested to read and understand guitar notes you should be familiar with the guitar music sheet which comprises of several staffs and different notations. In each staff, you can find a symbol at the beginning called “clef”. Various notes on the scale are represented by each line that appears on the staff along with spaces in between.

These notes correspond to the note that is made when any of the guitar strings is pressed down at the right fret and strummed. Moreover, these notes that appear on the staff are symbolized further to specify how long you should press them before you move to the next note. If you know how to read and understand guitar notes, you will come across 7 notes that are being used in the scale of the guitar starting from A to G. You can sharpen any of these notes which are symbolized by# just like in A#, or it could also be flattened by using the b symbol as in Bb.

As you browse over the music guide in your effort to read and understand guitar notes you can also see 5 lines in the music guide that correspond to any of these notes. The note E is found at the bottom line, the next line from the bottom stands for G, the line at the middle represents B, then, the next line above it has D, and the 1st line on top corresponds to F. Aside from the notes on each staff line, you will also find 4 notes in spaces between the music lines.

The 1st space represents F, the next stands for A, the 3rd denotes C and the last space stands for E. Once you know how to read and understand guitar notes you can observe that if you try to read the 1st line along with the space, and the line next to that in an upward direction, the letters will appear as E, F, G, A and so on. The reason for this is that the staff lines are actually an illustration of the music scale. If you are serious to know how to read and understand guitar notes you have to learn them by heart because you’ll always encounter these notes on the guitar.

You should also remember in your study on how to read and understand guitar notes that these notes will go in the same pattern for the rest of the notes than merely having the 5 basic staff lines. One octave is represented by the basic staff, and you’ll know later that octaves are also present on top and beneath these 5 lines. Once you can read and understand guitar notes, you have to apply what you have learned, and practice it on your guitar. Just remember that each of the strings in the guitar is set to a specific note.

In your effort to learn how to read and understand guitar notes, the best way to determine the matching of notes on the staff with strings of the guitar is by using a fretboard note chart.

The way you intonate an acoustic guitar is not as easy as how you do it in an electric guitar. The main difference is that in acoustic guitar, you have to replace or re-orient the saddle, while in an electric guitar, there’s no need to do it. Before you proceed to intonate an acoustic guitar, you have to know what factors affect intonation such as string gauge, fret position, composition and age, nut or saddle compensation, and action at saddle as well as nut on the fingerboard.

Some people agree that if you intonate an acoustic guitar from string to string, the sound of the guitar is greatly affected by the tuning. When your guitar has already been set up and you put a new set of strings, there is the tendency that intonation might change. Bear in mind that different brands of strings have their own corresponding set of gauges. This is a common case in brands of guitar or other musical instruments to indicate their uniqueness in style and brand reputation.

Therefore, it would be better for you to choose the kind of strings based on their gauges; not depending on whether they are Light or Extra Light. While the string composition affects its stiffness and density, the tension as well as the pitch are also affected that lead to intonation. When you intonate an acoustic guitar, you have to fret the string and in doing so, the string is being stretched out; hence, length is added to the string that prevents note sharpening.

However if that happens, the open strings are also lengthened so, they don’t undergo fretting, and therefore, don’t need to undergo compensation. Some guitarists intonate an acoustic guitar by compensating the nut to produce a better sound. Compensating the nut can be attained in various ways and one simple method is by shortening the length of the fingerboards at the end of the nut. You can modify the position of saddles and the length of the fingerboard depending on some factors like string gauge, action and scale length.

There are people who have the special ability to hear slight difference in sounds while others cannot. While some theories apply to nut compensation and appropriate saddle, there are also various ways to intonate an acoustic guitar. Many guitarists believe that when the green light is activated, their guitars are already in tune. This may be true as a common method of intonating guitars; however, this is not the only technique that can be done to intonate an acoustic guitar.

Some people even use harmonics in tuning their guitars, others do the tuning of 2 particular chords to produce compatible sounds with one another, and there are others who devise charts in off-set tuning to indicate the number of flat or cents sharp each note should correspond to in tuning. In whatever way you think is best suitable to intonate an acoustic guitar according to the sensitivity of your ears, just remember that there are different methods of tuning a guitar.

The Scorpions guitarist band has been 45 years in the making, but it still continuous to record music and organize musical tours. In January, 2010, the Scorpions made a public announcement that all the members of the band will finally retire after making a tour to promote their next album entitled Sting in the Tail. The band is composed of Klaus Meine as lead vocals, Matthias Jabs as lead and rhythm Scorpions guitarist and backing vocals, Rudolf Schenker as backing vocals, rhythm and lead guitarist, Pawel Maciwoda as bassist and backing vocals, and James Kottak on the drum, percussion and back-up vocals.

Matthias Jabs, a German Scorpions guitarist and writer of songs was born in October 1955. Before he joined the band, he has performed with Deadlock, Fargo and Lady Band. Jabs decided to join the Scorpions when Ulrich Roth separated from the band in 1978. His 1st album with the band is entitled Lovedrive. His amazing ability to strum the guitar made a significant contribution to the band’s signature sound.

In 1980, Jabs owned a ’63-64 Fender Stratocaster named “trouble guitar” that had a Bill Lawrence L90 pick-up and a Floyd Rose floating bridge. This was shown on a number of tracks that required a “tremolo” and a “Blackout.” Another German Scorpions guitarist and a co-founder of Scorpions band is Rudolf Schenker who was born in August, 1948. He is a songwriter of the band and at the same time the lead/rhythm guitarist.

As lead Scorpions guitarist, he has done most of the guitar solos with the band, and there are also times when Rudi renders the solos like in the albums Big City Nights, Through My Eyes, As Soon as the Good Times Roll, Still Loving You, Always Somewhere and Wind of Change.

Pawel Maciwoda is a Polish bass Scorpions guitarist who was born in February, 1967 in Wieliczka, Poland. He joined the band as bassist in 2003, and had his official membership in January, 2004. As encouraged by his father, Maciwoda started practicing on his bass guitar at 15 years old. Because of his young age as a semi-professional performer, he has been given the name “Baby.”

Learn all about the Guitar Related Instruments the Easiest and Most Proficient Way

You needed to get know about all the guitar related instruments as a beginner, you need a lot of patience and strong determination to learn the instrument in the fastest and most efficient way. You need to have a 6 strings-guitar, and at least 2 pieces of guitar picks that are light in gauge. But before you start with your lessons in guitar related instruments, you should first have a basic knowledge of the guitar’s different parts.

The basic parts of a guitar include the strings, frets, neck, body, and the head stocks along with tuning pegs. The strings of a guitar have different thickness, and the thinnest string delivers the highest pitch. The string at the bottom which you can observe as the skinniest is called the 1st string. The tiny strips of metal below the strings of guitar related instruments are known as frets. In playing the notes of the guitar, you can see spaces between the frets where you should place your fingers.

The higher you go up on the frets; you’ll observe that the notes become higher too. Then comes the neck; a part of guitar related instruments which appears to be a long and skinny structure where the frets are located. Another part of the guitar is the body which is a large base and the biggest part of the guitar commonly called acoustic guitar. The last major part of guitar related instruments is the head stock along with tuning pegs.

This is the part of the guitar that can be found on the top most portion of the neck holding the tuning pegs. You can adjust the string pitch to a higher level by tightening the tuning peg, or attain a lower level by loosening it. The next step in learning the guitar is the way of holding it. If you are right-handed, you hold the neck with your left hand, and the opposite, if you are left-handed. You will notice that the body of guitar related instruments rests on the right leg, while the back portion is located next to the chest area.

The 1st string which is the thinnest among the strings can be found at the bottom near the legs. When you strum the guitar, you should hold the pick with your forefinger and thumb of your right hand. Hold it firmly and feel the sound of each string by holding down on the frets and strumming on the sound hole. After you practice doing this technique, you’re now ready to begin the 1st lesson. If you are serious in learning on how to play guitar related instruments proficiently, you should consider adopting a home study course online that can provide you with easy steps in mastering the guitar.

Since there are some online websites offering instructional tapes, DVD’s or videos that are difficult and almost impossible to learn, the best program should give you various options in learning the guitar in an easy way. You can try the “Learn and Master Guitar” that can enable you to study playing guitar related instruments at the comfort of your home in easy ways.

Getting to play well known electric guitar songs using your very own electric guitar often gives one a great feeling and this is so even for those who are using electric guitar songs for beginners. The guitar skills you will have are directly connected to the time allocated for practice and taking time to learn songs is another effective as well as motivating way of advancing and improving as guitarist. Here are two simple songs for electric guitar a beginner can use for practice.

Holiday-Green Day
For beginners, the best electric guitar songs for beginners are the Green Day ones because they are easy. Just as with any songs done by the band, Holiday makes use of many power chords and comes with a number of great rifts that have very good sounds under distortion. You will be able to refine the techniques below when playing Holiday:

Power chords

Single string plucking

Plectrum switch technique

Mother – Pink Floyd
Floyd has many songs that can really help beginners. Mother teaches a number of open chords which are great for introduction to the I-IV- patterns. It is possible to learn how to play Mother in a single afternoon. In case you want to play the guitar and sing at the same time, it is a good song to use for practice. Try following Pink Floyd version. This is in effect improves your ability to change chords effortlessly.

Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynnyrd
Another of the easy electric guitar songs for beginners is the Free Bird. The best thing about it is it makes use of arpeggios, chords apart from lead guitar techniques. As you might be knowing an arpeggio is basically a broken chord which entails playing the chord’s individual notes in a certain pattern in the place of strumming the strings at once. Getting to this song using your electric guitar is going to be much fun and will give you an opportunity to practice as well.

Slides

Vibratos

Single string plucking

Chord arpeggios

Chords

Deep Purple – Smoke On The Water
A reason exists as to why this is the song recognized by most people for quite a long time. It is very entertaining and also presents a good way of learning the basics. Breaks are important when getting to know the Smoke on the Water. Your hands will be greatful to you for it. If you have not built up calluses, you should be prepared. It will be painful for sometime but in time your hand will feel better as you play the guitar.

Knowing how to play the electric guitar by learning well known songs is a very effective way of advancing your guitar skills. Why is this? It is because the practicing of songs is motivating and fun and this is in contrast to learning by the practice of single guitar techniques. Through the learning of song playing, you will be practicing all guitar techniques that made the famous pros, so what is keeping you in waiting? Get your guitar and look for electric guitar songs for beginners song that you can practice.

Peter White guitarist played with Basia in a string of hit albums in the 1980s, and in 1990, he recorded his own albums. In 1996, Basia appeared on the album entitled Caravan of Dreams by White with single vocals on Just Another Day. His brother, Danny White, was an original member and co-founder of the UK band named Matt Bianco. Peter White guitarist became the recipient as the Best Smooth Jazz Musician during the Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards in 2007.
