God made a way for Satan to be spared but that Satan would never transform until the very end of time.

He felt that god and himself should be equal. He questioned the chain of command and decided to change it since he thought the everything that Satan does is purely consistent and nothing is irrational. He does not do anything out of hate, malice or fear. He may manipulate people to serve his higher purposes but everything he does is for that he believes in. Because all concepts and promise exist in the mind the opportunity of changing the reality of heaven into one where power is open for all, and decided that he was called for it.

The Mystery of the Megaliths

No place has generated so much speculation and wild theories as the standing stones of Stonehenge. After driving for miles through the rolling hills and plains of the English countryside the sight of this unusual structure makes people gasp. A walk around it only provokes more strange feelings. There's a sense that this is something very important. It taunts us with its mystery. For over 5000 years it has stood silent vigil over the earth. It has been excavated, x-rayed, measured, and surveyed. Yet despite all that has been learned about its age and construction, its purpose still remains one of the great mysteries of the world.

Construction

Around 3500 BC the semi-nomadic peoples that populated the Salisbury Plain began to build the monument now known as Stonehenge. The original construction was a circular ditch and mound with 56 holes forming a ring around its perimeter. The first stone to be placed at the site was the Heel Stone. It was erected outside of a single entrance to the site. 200 years later 80 blocks of bluestone was transported from a quarry almost 200 miles away in the Prescelly Mountains. It is surmized that these blocks were transported by way of rafts along the Welsh coast and up local rivers, finally to be dragged overland to the site. These stones were erected forming two concentric circles.

At some point this construction was dismantled and work began on the final phase of the site. The bluestones were moved within the circle and the gigantic stones that give Stonehenge its distinctive look were installed. Some of these massive stones weigh as much as 26 tons! It remains a mystery how such huge stones could have been moved from the quarry at north Wiltshire by a supposedly primitive people.

As much of a mystery is how the construction itself was accomplished. Carefully carved lintels were placed on top of pairs of upright stone blocks, held in place by the use of ball and socket joints. These constructions have become known as "trilithons". The final element to be added was the alter block, a large block of green sandstone from South Wales that was placed in front of one of the trilithons. Each generation carefully tended to the monuments, increasing its size as technology to move and finish the large blocks improved. It is almost inconceivable for us, in this age were nothing lasts more than a few decades at best, to image a people maintaining a monument for almost 2 millennia.

So the fundamental question that needs to be asked about Stonehenge is not how it was built, but why...

Stonehenge's Purpose

In the 1960's astronomer Gerald Hawkins used a computer to provide the first concrete evidence that Stonehenge was used as a device for observing the heavens. He found that the placement of key stones lined up precisely with certain events such as the Solstices and Equinoxes. He claimed that Stonehenge could even be used as a type of computer to predict eclipses and track heavenly bodies across the sky. The numerous alignments are clearly no accident, but whether this was the monuments true purpose, however, is still far from being agreed on. The monument seems too grand to be a simple calendar and many of the alignments touted would not even be visible due to the stone's great height.

There are many stone circles and standing stones in the British countryside. It is likely that they all had a similar purpose and as with other ancient sites it is not unusual to find alignments with major astronomical events. But Stonehenge is unique among all the other sites in England. Its sophistication goes beyond the simple stone circles found in other areas.

It looms over the landscape, taunting us with its mystery. One viewing this powerful structure gets the distinct impression that they are in the presence of something very important. Something with a purpose that perhaps has still, after all these centuries, not been utilized. For over 5000 years it has stood silent vigil over the earth. What will it do when it -

Some say the Hindus, some say the Greeks, some say the Egyptians.

It is known that more than 7000 years ago, the Hindus (Aryan Civilization) used to gaze at the sky and measure the time by looking at the position of stars and the Sun. This let them understand time and they used it in various activities connected with religion, astronomy, and astrology. In fact, Vedic astrology was solely dependent on time of birth, which was calculated without any mechanical devices.

The Egyptians were known to have used the water clock. This device could measure time based on a constant flow of water that moved through a port. They were also the first people to have made a calendar consisting of 365 days.
The Persians and Sumerians made the hourglass, where time was measured by the amount of sand transferred from one chamber of the device to the other. In spite of the name, the device did not have to measure only an hour. There were hourglasses that measured by the minute, minute and a half, and so forth.

Similar to the Hindus and Egyptians were the Chinese who measured time in various ways including the direction of the wind. But the Chinese were surprised to see the mechanical clock, which was brought to China for the first time by European explorers. Europeans were the first to make a mechanical clock similar to the ones we use today.

He has written 70 books and is an Urdu playwright and literary critic.Literature often mirrors the cultural ethos of a community represented in particularly poetry.Indian Muslims : Bengali without Nazrul Islam, or Punjabi without Waris Shah or Kashmiri without Habba Khatoon, or Awadhi without Jaisi or Brij Bhasha without Rahiman or Tamil without Abdur Rahman or Malayalam without K T Mohammad or, for that matter Indian literature without Ghalib ? the list is endless.From the beginning. Islam came to India in the 8^th century Arabs who landed in Kerala as traders. But the new religion brought by Prophet Mohammad emphasized mono-theism with great vigor and, advocated and to a great extent, practiced equality among men of different race, colour and social strata. This message of equality attracted a large number of converts and it soon spread to other parts of the land.The second major contact developed in Sind-not as traders but as conquerors for here Mohammad Bin Qasim, an Arab lad of 14 years conquered a part of Sind in 712 AD as a reprisal to the looting of a ship of Arab pilgrims by Raja Dahir of Sind.To this day, Sindhi is written in a modified Arabic script and bears a strong component of Arab and Islamic influence in the tone and tenor of its poetry. And it was here that Abdul Latif Bhitai composed his songs of mystic devotion and human love. A new era had already began- the era of cosmopolitan mystic vision.

Undoubtedly mysticism is monopoly of Islam groups of Muslim mystics swarmed over parts of North India .

Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti who came from Iraq in the 12^th century in Ajmer held in high esteem both by Hindus and Muslims and the compositions of one of his disciples, Baba Farid, form -part of the holy book of the Sikhs , the Guru Granth Sahib. Both of them emphasized the concept of the equality of man and sang of man?s total submergence in the divine existence of God Almighty. The idea caught on and spread with speed and alacrity to practically all the dialects and languages of the land, and assumed different shapes and forms. One of these was that of allegory and symbolism. Human existence was symbolized as a woman in love who has been unwittingly separated from her beloved – or human existence was portrayed as a woman in love while God was taken to be the separated husband. This also took the form of Bara-masa, (Twelve months) in which the damsel describes the charms of every season, month by month, and implores her beloved to take pity on her and to join her in enjoying the seasonal blessings.

This marks the great beginning in practically all-modern Indian languages.

The mystic era had begun.

The famous Indian historian Dr. Tara Chand has traced the origin and development of the Bhakti movement in the south

spreading in the north

And Muslim poets and saints played a very significant part therein.

In Hindi, for instance four recognized categories of Bhakti poetry

Gyana-Kshri, Prem Margi Sufi, Ram Bhakti and Krishna Bhakti .

Emergence of Amir Khusrau, disciple of the Sufi saint Hazrat Nizamuddin Auslia of Delhi, and his bridal songs, riddles and stray couplets mark the beginning of poetry in a mixed language with an amalgam of Khari Boli grammatical syntax and a sprinkling of Turkish, Persian and Arabic words

Later on Kabir (whom several scholars consider Muslim) and his followers in the Gyana-Kshri and Nirgun Bhakti worshipping idols and believing in the non-material existence of God. And the followers of Jaisi?s philosophy and diction were many, who adorn the ranks of Prem Margi Sufi poets, including Mulla Daud, Qutban and Manjhan.

Then came the Krishna Bhaktas and these also include a number of Muslim poets. Sri Krishna has often been symbolized as the romantic embodiment of divine existence . Poets like Maulana Hasrat Mohani took pride in proclaiming himself a Krishna Bhakt, Hence the continuing tradition from Ras Khan (the famous Brij Bhasha poet) to Hasrat Mohani.

Of course, Riti Kal of Brij Bhasha Hindi poetry abounds in Muslim names and extends its frontiers to Gujarat and Deccan (mainly parts of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra), in the form of Gujri and Deccani. later on under the Bijapur, Golconda and Ahmadnagar Kingdoms, a whole corpus of literary writings developed with Muslim authorship.

In Bijapur and Golconda kings, saints, courtiers and itinerant scholars and poets, all made their contribution in making an indigenous language rich.

The development of Urdu language and literature in the north of literary history.

Urdu literature in the north flourished mainly in the 18^th and 19^th centuries in Delhi , Uttar Pradesh and Bihar where masnavi writers like Afzal, Mir, Mir Asar and Mir Hasan continued to enrich and extend the tradition of allegorical and non-allegorical romantic poetic tales and started writing ghazals in Urdu, thus combining earthly romance with deeper metaphysical thought pattern.

The stalwarts included

URDU LITERATURE PARTICULARLY THE GHAZAL, GAVE TYRICAL EXPRESSION TO THE AGONY AND ECSTASY OF THE NATIONAL SCENE THROUGHOUT THE AGES.

like Nazeer Ahmed, Mirza Mohammad Hadi Ruswa, Abdul Haleem Sharar, Sajjad Yaldram, and in our own times, Qurratulain Hyder, Ismat Chughtai, Jilani Bano, Hayatullah Ansari and Khwaja Ahmed Abbas; prose writers like Abul Kalam Azad, Qazi Abdul Ghaffar and Rashid Ahmed Siddiqi; and dramatists like Agha Hasan Amanat, Agha Hashr, Imtiaz Ali Taj and Mohammad Mujib.

The whole galaxy of progressive writers

Faiz, Majaz, Makhdoom Mohiuddin , Parvez Shahidi, Ali Sardar Jafri, Jan Nisar Akhtar, Sahir Ludhianvi, Kaifi Azmi and Majrooh Sultuanpuri. Iqbal by his philosophy of Self aroused the Asian nations ,Josh Malihabadi?s revolutionary poetry and Abul Kalam Azad?s fiery writings .

In Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, Rasikh, Shad, Hasrat Mohani, Jigar, Josh and innumerable others.

Muslim writers and composers have made their mark in Kajri, Laoni and other popular folk forms. Recently, Azhar Husain Faruqi?sUttar Pradesh ke lok geet gives a long list of Muslim ?composers? and these represent only a portion of such contribution.

But the contribution of Indian Muslimswas by no means restricted only to Urdu literature.

In Punjab literature, for instance, mystics and saints left their own indelible marks. Waris Shah and Bulhe Shah composed classics in the 18th century, which are yet to be surpassed in excellence and acceptability.

Even when the subcontinent was divided into two hostile countries, India and Pakistan and the border state of Punjab, the land of five rivers, was itself partitioned, the gathering of Punjab soldiers on both sides of the frontier could be seen listening to or reciting Waris Shah?s epic Heer Ranjha jointly in the dead of night.

Further North, Kashmiri literature also boasts of its Indian Muslimauthors, the greatest of them being, perhaps, Habba Khatoon, a plain peasant girl wedded to a ruling monarch and sharing his destiny in glory and Suffering. Then comes Mahjur, who sang songs of liberty and social justice and enthused Kashmiris to wrest their rights with courage and determination. Of course, these two names are only representative of dozens of other such writers and poets.

Further east, the development of Bengali literature, Second World War and revolutionary song began

. Nazrul stands next to Tagore in his appeal and artistic excellence and his poetry inspired millions of Bengali-speaking people of India and Bangladesh in their struggle for independence.

In fact, Nazrul inspired poets of all the modern Indian languages and provided a model for Josh Mahilabadi in Urdu, Subhramaniam Bharati in Tamil, Vallathal in Malayalam and Dinkar in Hindi.

Bengali literature can boast of other Muslim writers and ?composers

Kazi Abdul Wudood, Communist writer and intellectual Muzaffar Ahmad and compose and sing Baul poetry.

Further down, we come across Oriya in which Mughal tamasha,a distinct form of folk drama, owes its origin mainly to Muslim writers. In Tamil, Abdur Rahman a major poet.

In the sister languages of Kannada and Telugu, the Golconda king, Quli Qutub Shah was also credited to be a Telugu poet.

In Marathi, and Gujarati too, Muslim writers made their mark while in Malayalam, the stories and novels of K T Mohammad gained distinction.

THIS IS ONLY A CURSORY OUTLINE OF THE MUSLIM CONTRIBUTION TO THE VARIOUS AND MODERN INDIAN LANGUAGES AND LITERATURES. BUT MERELY LISTING NAMES OF MUSLIM POETS AND WRITERS, DOES NOT DO JUSTICE TO THEIR ROLE NOR DOES IT EVALUATE THE TRUE NATURE, EXTEND AND DEPTH OF THEIR IMPACT.

This impact was not restricted only to Muslim writers but percolated to all levels and all kinds of writers irrespective of their religious fidelities.

What does this impact really mean in terms of the literary structure of these languages?

Firstly, it must be appreciated that the word Muslim denotes a much wider cultural domain than Islam. Islam was a set of beliefs but Muslims of different countries, though adhering to these common beliefs, developed their own cultural identities in conjunction with their indigenous environments.

Islam for instance, forbids, or at least discourages all arts, frowns on the practice of music, dance and sculpture and deprecates painting, yet in all these fields Indian Muslims, and devout Muslims at that, earned distinction.

It has often been the case that the artistic talent of Muslims in the forbidden arts found expression either in permitted media (for example, the expression of painting talent in calligraphy or of sculpture in the carving of Quranic verses on the Qutub Minar) or in the innovative transfer of these talents to other media. Hence the Muslim contribution to literature and poetry should be taken in this context, which in some measure, explains the popularity enjoyed by poetry among Muslims in general so that couplets form part of ordinary everyday conversation.

The second important factorthat should be noted is that this contribution was basically secular and cosmopolitan in character.

Secular ?because Muslim poets and men of letters could not identify themselves with Hindu religious or devotional poetry (barring instances where it had been raised to mystical or allegorical heights) and hence their writings, both in poetry and prose, opened the gates of secular and materialist subjects. What sustained this new poetic idiom was its cosmopolitanism.

To bracket this cosmopolitanism with alien influences would be erroneous.

The fact remains that the Turco-Iranian cultural tradition was, in the Dark Ages, the predominant world tradition. Europe was still to emerge as the new arbiter of human destiny and Arabs were dispensing the knowledge acquired from Greek sources, through translations. The Turco-Iranian tradition had absorbed this corpus of knowledge and had become its champion in Asia and the Middle East. Hence, the adoption, or acceptance of these Turco-Iranian influences meant imbibing the impact of the then pervading world culture.

Thirdly,it should also be borne in mind that Muslim contact was not primarily through administrators or rulers but mainly through traders (who purchased handicrafts and other manufactured goods and materials from the Indian towns or trade centres and sold them in Central Asian and West Asian courts and markets), Sufi saints, scholars and mercenary soldiers.

Consequently, the adoption of these influences was the acceptance of world cultural norms and values of that period.The literary exchanges between Turco-Iranian traditions and modern Indian languages were therefore a part of this transaction, which can be compared to the impact of the English language and literature on various Indian languages today.

The Indian Muslim writer?s contribution to various modern Indian languages and literatures, therefore, is two-fold: first in creating a secular and cosmopolitan literary idiom, and second in forging a new syntactical conciseness and close-knit poetic and literary expression mainly brought about as part of this Turco-Iranian impact.

Though very close to Sanskrit, old Persian

had taken a different syntactical line of development. To discuss in detail the nature of the syntactical influences of the Turco-Persian traditions on the modern Indian languages is beyond the scope of this essay but the use of izafat (conjunctional lower apostrophe) alone gave much greater compactness and conciseness to expression.

The same holds good in the case of symbols-and non-religious and non-mythical symbols at that. Even Nazrul Islam, who is greatly influenced by Hindu mythological symbols, introduced several new dimensions to them and introduced a series of symbols from the Turco-Iranian tradition. Hence, the ghazal as poetic form remains popular in Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali and several other languages. Not exclusively a contribution of Muslims alone, it has however a Muslim connexion. mushairas are held in almost every important town and attract large crowds. ghazal concerts are a craze and immediate commercial success.

While Muslim writers are among the prominent literary authors of various Indian languages, a sense of alienation separates them from their fellow writers.

Recurrent communal Hindu-Muslim riots breed extremists on both ends and create distrust and insecurity. Hence the psyche of the Indian Muslim writer, whether writing in Urdu or Malayalam or Marathi, experiences an ordeal different from his compatriots.

This crusade cannot be waged and won in isolation but with wider, much wider, cooperation and support of the people. And it is for this that writers, and among them Muslim writers too, though it fit to break the conventional framework of communication media and reach the common man through street theatre.
Habib Tanvir attempted to express through him the woes and sufferings of a suffocated society.
Safdar Hashmi took street theatre to the masses and addressed them on burning topics directly connected with their own lives.

Yet there is a silver lining to this dismal panorama. A number of Indian Muslim writers of the composite culture evolved through centuries of communion as a part of the defence of democratic values in our land.

Criticizing the Establishment he paid the price with his own life, and symbolized the struggle of making India a safer and a better place to live and in preserving the highest values of a composite culture evolved during centuries of our history.

Understanding the History of Islam

He was Noah Ibn Lamik, Ibn Mitoshilkh, Ibn Enoch, Ibn yard, Ibn Mahlabeel, Ibn Qinan, Ibn Anoush, Ibn Seth, Ibn Adam the Father of Mankind (PBUH).

According to the history of the People of the Book, (refers to the Jews, and Christians, so called by Allah because they received Revealed Books, Taurat, Zabur and Injeel. These names are translated ‘Torah, Psalms, and Gospels’ respectively, but the books that are extent are corrupt. Of the Revealed Books, ONLY the Quran remains exactly as it was revealed).

the period between the birth of Noah and the death of Adam was 146 years. (According to Genesis 5 (new Revised Standard Version), Noah was born one hundred and twenty six years after the death of Adam. Ibn Abbas narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “The period between Adam and Noah was ten centuries.” (Sahih Bukhari, Noah was born 1056 years after Adam’s creation (or after he left the Garden of Eden). Thus, this hadith does not contradict the previous statement from the People of the Book as it may first appear to do. The reader should keep in mind, however that any statement or narratives taken from the People of the Book are not necessarily credible. This was taken from Genesis 5).

For many generations Noah’s people had been worshipping statues that they called gods. They believed that these gods would bring them good, protect them from evil and provide all their needs. They gave their idols names such as Waddan, Suwa’an, Yaghutha, Ya’auga, and Nasran, (These idols represented, respectively, manly power; mutability, beauty; brute strength, swiftness, sharp sight, insight) according to the power they thought these gods possessed.

Allah the Almighty revealed: “They (idolaters) have said: “You shall not leave your gods nor shall you leave Wadd, nor Suwa, nor Yaghuth, nor Ya uq nor Nasr (names of the idols).” (CH 71:23 Quran).

Originally these were the names of good people who had lived among them. After their deaths, statues of them were erected to keep their memories alive. After sometime, however, people began to worship these statues. Later generations did not even know why they had been erected; they only knew their parents had prayed to them. That is how idol worshipping developed. Since they had no understanding of Allah the Almighty Who would punish them for their evil deeds, they became cruel and immoral.

The Quran does not give details of Isaac’s life (pbuh), but reliable Quranic commentators mentioned that when Abraham felt that his life was drawing to a close, he wished to see Isaac married. He did not want Isaac to marry one of the Canaanites, who were pagans, so he sent a trustworthy servant to Haran in Iraq to choose a bride for Isaac. The servant’s choice fell upon Rebekah Bint Bethuel, Ibn Nahor, who was a brother of Abraham. Isaac married her and she gave birth to a set of twins, Esau (Al Eis) and Jacob (Yaqub).

Ill feelings developed between the two brothers when they grew into manhood. Esau disliked the fact that Jacob was favored by his father and by Allah with prophethood. This ill feeling became so serious that Esau threatened to kill his brother. Fearing for his life, Jacob fled the country.

The People of the Book said that when Isaac was forty years old, he married Rebekah, Bint Bethuel, during his father’s life. They said she was sterile, so Isaac prayed to Allah and then she became pregnant. She gave birth to twin boys. The first one was called Esau whom the Arabs called Al-Eis. He became the father of Rum. The second one was called Jacob, which means Isreal, (belonging to the people of Israel).

The People of the Book said Esau threatened to kill his brother when their father was dead. They also said that he asked his father to pray for him that Allah make the earth good for his offsprin and multiply his sustenance and fruits.

When their mother knew that Esau threatened his brother Jacob, she commanded her son Jacob to go to her brother Laban in the land of Haran and abide with him for a time until his brother’s anger had abated, and to marry one of the Laban’s daughters. she told her husband Isaac to command him with that advice and pray for him, and he did.

Jacob (pbuh) left his family, when night came he found a place to rest. He took a stone and put it under his head and slept. He dreamed of a ladder from heaven to earth. Angels were ascending and descending and the Lord addressed him and said to him; “I will bless you and your offspring and make this land for you and for those who come after you.”

WHen he awoke he felt joyful from what he had seen in his dream and vowed, for Allah’s sake that if he returned to his family safely, he would build here a temple for Allah the Almighty. He also vowed to give one tenth of his property for the sake of Allah. He poured oil on the stone so as to recognize it and called the place “Ayle’s House” (Bethel), which means “House of Allah”. It was to be the location of Jerusalem later.

After a period of time, his uncle prepared a feast and gathered people for the wedding. He married Leah, his elder daughter, to him at night. She was weak-sighted and ugly. When morning came, Jacob discovered she was Leah and he complained to his uncle. “You deceived me; I was engaged to Rachel and you married me to Leah.” His uncle said: “It is not our tradition to marry the younger daughter before the elder daughter. However, if you love her sister, work another seven years and I will marry you to both of them.”

Jacob worked for seven years and then married Rachel. It was acceptable in their time, as described in the Torah, for a man to marry two sisters. Laban gave a female slave to each daughter. Leah’s slave was called Zilpah and Rachel’s slave was called Bilha.

Almighty Allah compensated Leah’s weakness by giving her sons. the first one was named Rueben (Robel), after whom there were Simon (Shamun), Levi (Lawi), and Judah (Yahudh).

Then Rachel prayed to Allah to give her a son from Jacob. Allah heard her call and responded to her prayer. She gave birth to a son, great, honorable, and beautiful. She named him Joseph (Yusuf).

All of this happened when they were in the land of Haran and Jacob (pbuh) was pasturing his uncle’s sheep, which he did for a period of twenty years.

Jacob then asked his uncle Laban to let him go and visit his family.

Considering the studies carefully the huge question again is

Recent investigation has thrown much new height on the origin of the
Rajputs. between the Vedic Kshatriya and the Rajput of medieval times
which it is now impossible to bridge. Understanding the roots is very
important for all of mankind. As the roots will lead us rightly to
know of our origins.Some clans, trace their lineage to the Kshatriyas
of Buddhist times, who recognized as one of the leading elements in
Hindu society, and, in their own estimation, stood even higher than
the Brahmans.
But it is now certain that the origin of many clans dates from the
Saka or Kushan invasion, which began about the middle of the second
century B.C., or more certainly, from that of the Huns who destroyed
the Gupta empire about A.D. 480.
The Gurjara tribe adopted Hinduism, and their leaders formed the
main stock from which the higher Rajput families sprang. When these
new claimants to princely honours accepted the faith and institutions
of Brahmanism, the attempt would naturally be made to initiate
themselves to the mythical heroes whose exploits are recorded in the
MAHABHARATA AND RAMAYANA.
Hence arose the body of legend recorded in The Annals by a fabulous
origin from the Sun or Moon is ascribed to two great Rajput branches,
a genealogy claimed by other princely families, like the Incas of Peru
or the Mikado of Japan. Or, as in the case of the Rathors of Marwar,
an equally fabulous story was invented to link them with the royal
house of Kanauj, one of the genuine old Hindu ruling families.
The same feeling lies at the root of the Aeneid of Virgil, the court
poet of the new empire. The clan of the emperor Augustus, the
patriachician family of Alban origin, represented as the heirs of
lulus, the supposed sou of Aeneas and founder of Alba Longa, thus
linking the new Augustan .
Than a sudden emergence of semi-darkness induced constant serpent
worship, which, years ago speculative writers mixed it up with occult
philosophies, juridical mysteries, and that pretentious nonsense
called the ' Arkite symbolism,'
In the midst of this there is a constant reference to the "
Takshaks," apparently one of the Scythian tribes. There is, however,
every reason to belive that serpent worship formed an important
element in the beliefs of the Scythians, or to suppose that the cult,
as we observe it in India, is of other than origin.
The term Kshatriya was, vague meaning, since it did not claim Brahmin
descent. Remember Kshatriya is the warrior cult and knowledge is
brahmanical. Occasionally a Raja might be a Brahman by caste, but the
Brahman's place at court was that of a minister rather than that of
king."

Now the Kshatriya or Rajput depended on status rather than on
descent, and it was therefore possible for foreigners to be introduced
into the tribes without any violation of the prejudices of caste,
which was then only partially developed. But as the power of the
priesthood increased, it was necessary to disguise this admission of
foreigners initiated a convenient fiction.
HENCE AROSE THE LEGEND, TOLD IN TWO DIFFERENT FORMS IN THE ANNALS,
WHICH DESCRIBES HOW,BY A SERIOUS ACT OF PURIFICATION OR INITIATION,
UNDER THE SUPERINTENDENCE OF ONE OF THE ANCIENT VEDIC RISHIS OR
INSPIRED SAINTS, THE SO CALLED " FIRE-BORN " SECTS WERE CREATED TO
HELP THE BRAHMANS IN REPRESSING BUDDHISM, JAINISM, OR OTHER
FREESTANDING THE ANCIENT TRADITIONAL HINDU SOCIAL CULTURE , THE
TEMPORARY DOWNFALL OF WHICH, UNDER THE STRESS OF FOREIGN INVASIONS, IS
CAREFULLY CONCEALED IN THE HINDU SACRED LITERATURE.
This privilege was, we are told, confined to four sects, known as
Agnikula or ' fire-born '—the PRAMAR, PARIHAR, CHALUKYA OR SOLANKI,
AND THE CHAUHAN. However there is good reason to belive according to
author that the Pramar was the only sect which laid claim to this
distinction before the time of the poet Chand, who flourished in the
twelfth century of our era.
That these races, the sons of Agni, were but regenerated, and
converted by the Brahm'ans to fight their battles, the clearest
interpretations of their allegorical history will disclose ;
It was in S. 987 (a.d. 931) that Bhojraj, the last of the Chawaras,
and the Salic law of India were both set aside, to make way for the
young Solanki, Mulraj* who ruled Anhilwara for the space
• of fifty-eight years.
During the reign of his son and successor, Chamimd Rae, Mahmud of
Ghazni carried his desolatiag arms into the kingdom of Anhilwara.
With its wealth he raised those magnificent trophies of his conquest,
among which the ' Celestial Bride ' might have vied with anything ever
erected by man as a monument of folly . The wealth abstracted, as
reported in the history of the conquerors, though deemed incredible,
would obtain belief, if the commercial riches of Anhilwara could be
appreciated. It was to India what Venice was to Europe, the potent of
the products of both the eastern and western hemispheres.
It fully recovered the shock given by Mahmud and the desultory wars of
his successors ; and we find Siddharaja Jayasingha, the seventh from
the founder, at the head of the richest, if not the most warlike,
kingdom of India.

ANHILWARA
Two-and-twenty principalities at one time owned his power, from the
CARNATIC TO THE BASE OF THE HIMALAYA MOUNTAINS ; but his unwise
successor drew upon himself the vengeance of the Chauhan, Prithviraja,
a slip of which race was en grafted in the person of Kumarapala, on
the genealogical tree of the Solankis ; and it is a curious fact that
this dynasty of the Balakaraes alone gives us two examples of the
Salic law of India being violated. KUMARAPALA, WAS INSTALLED ON THE
THRONE OF ANHILWARA, ' TIED ROUND HIS HEAD THE TURBAN OF THE SOLANKI.'
HE BECAME OF THE TRIBE INTO WHICH HE WAS ADOPTED. KUMARAPALA, AS WELL
AS SIDDHARAJA, WAS THE PATRON OF BUDDHISM ; * AND THE MONUMENTS
ERECTED UNDER THEM and their successors claim our admiration, from
their magnificence and the perfection of the arts ; for at no period
were they more cultivated than at the courts of Anhilwara.
The lieutenants of Shihabu-d-din disturbed the close of Kumarapal's
reign ; and his successor, Balo Muldeo, closed this dynasty in S. 1284
(a.d. 1228), when a new dynasty, called the Vaghela (descendants of
Siddharaja) under BIsaldeo, succeeded.
The dilapidations from religious persecution were repaired ; Somnath,
renowned as Delphos of old, rose from its ruins, and the kingdom of
the Balakaraes was attaining its pristine magnificence, when, under
the fourth prince Karandeva.
The angel of destruction appeared in the shape of Alau-d-din, and the
kingdom of AnhilwAra was annihilated.

MYSTERIES OF THEIR FAITH SUFFERED THE SAME FATE AS THE ALEXANDRIAN
LIBRARY.
The walls of Anhilwara were demolished ; its foundations excavated,
and again filled up with the fragments of their ancient temples.
The remnants of the Solanki dynasty were scattered over the land, and
this portion of India remained for upwards of a century without any
paramount head, until, by a singular dispensation of Providence, its
splendour was renovated, and its foundations rebuilt, by an adventurer
of the same race from which the Agnikulas were originally converts,
though Saharan the Tak hid his name and his tribe under his new
epithet of Zafar Khan, and as Muzaffar ascended the throne of Gujarat,
which he left to his son. This son was Ahmad, who founded Ahmadabad,
whose most splendid edifices were built from the ancient cities around
it.
Baghels.

—Though the stem of the Solankis was thus uprooted, yet was it not
before many of its branches (Sakha), like their own indigenous
bar-tree, had fixed themselves in other soils. The most prominent of
these is the Baghela * family, which gave its name to an entire
division of Hindustan ; and Bagtielkhand lias now been ruled for many
centuries by the descendants of Siddharaja.
Besides Bandhugarh, tliere are minor chieftains still in Gujarat of
the Baghela tribe. Of these, Pethapur and Tharad are the most
conspicuous. One of the chieftains of the second class in Mewar is a
Solanki, and traces his line immediately from Siddharaja : this is the
chief of Rupnagar, whose stronghold commands one of the passes leading
to Marwar, and whose family annals would furnish a fine picture of the
state of border-feuds. Few of them, till of late years, have died
natural deaths.

Birpura—Rao of Lunawara.
Bahala—Kalyanpur in Mewar, styled Rao, but serving the chief of
Salumbar oil" Baru, Tekra, and Chahir, in Jaisalmer.

Pratihara or Parihara.—Of this, the last and least of _the Agnikulas,
we have not much to say.
The Pariharas never acted a conspicuous part in the history of
Rajasthan. They are always discovered in a subordinate capacity,
acting in feudal subjection to the Turks of Delhi or the Chauhans of
Aimer ; and the brightest page of their history is the record of an
abortive attempt of Nahar Rao to maintain his independence against
Prithwiraja.
THOUGH A PRITHVIRAJ CHAUHAN
A BIG FAILURE, HAS IMMORTALIZED HIS NAME
AND GIVEN TO THE SCENE OF ACTION, ONE OF THE PASSES OF THE ARAVALLI,
A MERITED CELEBRITY.
Mandor (classically Maddodara) was the capital of the Parihars, and
was the chief city of Marwar which owned the sway of this tribe prior
to the invasion and settlement of the Rathors. It is placed five miles
northward of the modern Jodhpur, and preserves some specimens of the
ancient Pali character, fragments of sculpture and Jain temples. The
Rathor emigrant princes of Kanauj found an asylum with the Parihars.
They repaid it by treachery, and Chonda, a name celebrated in the
Rathor annals, dispossessed the last of the Parihars, and pitched the
flag of the Rathors on the battlements of Mandor.
THE POWER OF THE PARIHARS HAD, HOWEVER, BEEN MUCH REDUCED PREVIOUSLY
BY THE PRINCES OF MEWAR, WHO NOT ONLY ABSTRACTED MUCH TERRITORY FROM
THEM, BUT ASSUMED THE TITLE OF ITS PRINCES—RANA.^
The Parihara scattered over Rajasthan, but the existence of
independent chieftainship there. At the confluence of the Kuhari, the
Sind, and the Chambal, there is a colony of this race, which has given
its name to a commune of twenty-four villages, besides hamlets,
situated amidst the ravines of these streams.
They were nominally subjects of Sindhia ; but it was deemed requisite
for the line of defence along the Chambal that it should be included
within the British demarcation, by which most notorious body of
thieves in the annals of Thug history.
The Parihars had twelve subdivisions, of which the chief were the
Indha and Sindhal : a few of both are still to be found about the
banks of the Luni.
Chawara or Chaura.—This tribe was once renowned in the history of
India, though its name is now scarcely known Ti, or only in the
chronicles of the bard. The origin of it was
- ignorance.
It belongs neither to the Solar nor Lunar race, and consequently
presumed to be of the Scythic Orgin

The name is unknown in Hindustan, and is confined, with many others
originating from beyond the Indus, to the peninsula of Saurashtra. If
foreign to India proper, its establishment must have been at a remote
period, as we find individuals of it intermarrying with the Suryavansa
ancestry of the present princes of Mewar, when this family were the
lords of Valabhi.
The capital of the Chawaras was the insular Deobandar, on the coast of
Saurashtra, and the celebrated temple of Sonmath, with many others on
this coast, dedicated to Balnath, or the sun, is attributed to this
tribe of the Sauras,* or worshippers of the sun ; most probably the
generic name of the tribe as well as of the peninsula.*
By a natural catastrophe, or as the Hindu superstitious chroniclers
will have it, as a punishment for the piracies of the prince of Deo,
the element whose privilege he abused rose and overwhelmed his
capital. As all this coast is very low, such an occurrence is not
improbable ; though the abandonment of Deo might have been compelled
by the irruptions of the Arabians, who at this period carried on a
trade with these parts, and the plunder of some of their vessels may
have brought this punishment on the Chawaras. That it was owing to
some such political catastrophe, we have additional grounds for belief
from the annals of Mewar, which state that its princes inducted the
Chawaras into the seats of the power they abandoned on the continent
and peninsula of Saurashtra.
At all events, the prince of Deo laid the foundation of Anhilwara
Patan in S. 802 (a.d. 74.6), which henceforth became the capital city
of this portion of India, in lieu of Valabhipura, which gave the title
of Balakaraes to its princes, the Balhara of the earlier Arabian
travellers, and following them, the geographers of Europe."
Vana Raja (or, in the dialects, Banraj) was this founder, and his
dynasty ruled for one hundred and eighty-four years, when, as related
in the sketch of the Solanki tribe, Bhojraj, the seventh from the
founder, was deposed by his nephew.
It was during this dynasty that the Arabian travellers ^ visited this
court, of which they have left but a confused picture. We are not,
however, altogether in darkness regarding the Chawara race, as in the
Khuman Raesa, one of the chronicles of Mewar, mention is made of the
auxiliaries under a leader named Chatansi, in the defence of Chitor
against the first attack on record of the Muhammadans
.
When Mahmud of Ghazni invaded Saurashtra and captured its capital,
Anhilwara, he deposed its and placed upon the throne, according to
Ferishta, a prince of the former dynasty, renowned for his ancient
line and purity of blood, and who is styled Dabichalima ; a name which
has puzzled all European commentators.
Now the Dabhi ...........................was a celebrated tribe, said
by some to be a branch of the Chawara, and this therefore may be a
compound of Dabhi Chawara, or the Chaurasima, by some called a branch
of the ancient Yadus.
This ancient connexion between the Surya\ansi cliiefs and the
Chawaras, or Sauras, of Saurashtra, is still maintained after a lapse
of more than one thousand years ; for although an alliance with the
Rana's family is deemed the highest honour that a Hindu prince can
obtain, as being the first in rank in Rajasthan, yet is the humble
Chawara sought out, even at the foot of fortune's ladder, whence to
carry on the blood of Rama. The present heir-apparent of a line of '
one hundred kings,' the prince Jawan Singh [1828-38], is the offspring
of a Chawara mother, the daughter of a petty chieftain of Gujarat. It
were vain to give any account of the present stale of the families
bearing this name. They must depend upon the fame of past days ; to
this we leave them.
Tak or Takshak
Takshak appears to be the generic term of the race from which the
various Scythic tribes, the early invaders of India, branched off. It
appears of more ancient sakha.
It might not be judicious to separate them, though it would be
speculative to say which was the primitive title of the races called
Scythic, after their country, Sakatai or Sakadwipa, the land of the
great Getae.
Abul Ghazi makes Taunak^ the son of Turk or Targetai, who appears to
be the Turushka of the Puranas, the Tukyuks of the Chinese historians,
the nomadic Tokhari of Strabo, who aided to overturn the Greek kingdom
of Bactria, and gave their name to the grand division of Asia,
Tokharistan or Turkistan : and there is every appearance of that
singular race, tlie Tajik,* still scattered over these regions, and
whose history appears a mystery, being the descendants of the Takshak.
Also the ancient inscriptions in Pali or Buddhist character have been
discovered in various parts of Rajasthan, of the race called Tasta,
Takshak, and Tak, relating to the tribes, the Mori [or Maurya],
Pramara, their descendants.
Naga and Takshak in Sanskrit refers to the snake, and the Takshak is
the celebrated Nagvansa of the early heroic history of India.

The Mahabharata describes in its usual style, the wars between the
Pandavas of Indraprastha and the Takshaks of the north.
The assassination of Parikshita by the Takshak, and the exterminating
warfare carried when Alexander invaded India, he found the Paraitakai,
the mountain Tak, inhabiting
The early History
The Bhatti princes of Jaisalmer, when driven from kabulistan, they
dispossessed the Taks on the Indus, and established themselves in
their land, the capital of which was called Salivahanpura ; and as the
date of this event is given as 3008 of the Yudhishthira era, it is by
no means unlikely that Salivahana, or Salbhan (who was a Takshak), the
conqueror of the Tuar Vikrama, was of the very family dispossessed by
the Bhattis, who compelled them to migrate to the south.
The calculated period of the invasion of the Takshaks, or . Nagvansa,
under Sheshnag, is about six or seven centuries before the Christian
era, at which very period the Scythic invasion of Egypt and Syria, "
by the sons of Togarmah riding on horses " (the Aswas, or Asi), is
alike recorded by the prophet Ezekiel and Diodorus.
The Abu Mahatma calls the Takshaks " the sons of Himachal," all
evincing Scythic descent ; and it was only eight reigns anterior to
this change in the Lunar dynasties of India, that Parsvanath, the
twenty-third Buddha [Jain Tirthankara], introduced his tenets into
India, and fixed his abode in the holy mount Sarnet.

The Division of India
Janamejaya, who at last compelled them to sign tributary engagements,
divested of its allegory,' is plain historical fact the grand division
of Asia, Tokharistan or Turkistan : and there is every appearance of
that singular race, Tajik still scattered over these regions, and
whose history appears a mystery, being the descendants of the Takshak.
It has been already observed, that ancient inscriptions in t)ie Pali
or Buddhist character have been discovered in various parts of
Rajasthan, of the race called Tasta, Takshak, and Tak, relating to the
tribes, the Mori [or Maurya], Pramara, their descendants.
The Balhara of Arab travellers of the tenth century were the
Rashtrakuta dynasty of Malkhed, Balhara being a corruption of
Vallabharaja,
Vallabha being the royal title {BG, i. Part ii. 209).] [Vanaraja
reigned from a.d. 765 to 780, and the dynasty is said to have lasted
196 years, but the evidence is still incomplete.

Muhammadan Dynasties of Gujarat, 32 ff.]
Much of the account is mere tradition, but it has been plausibly
suggested that when Bhima the Chaulukya king of Anhilwara was defeated
by Mahmud of Ghazni in a.d. 1024, the latter may have appointed
Durlabha, uncle of Bhima, to keep order in Gujarat, and that the two
Dabshalims may be identified with Durlabha and his son [BG, i. Part i.
168). Also see Ferishta i. 76 ; Bayley,

Abulghazi [Hist, of the Turks, Moguls, and Tartars, 1730, i. 5 f .]
says, when Noah left the ark he divided the earth amongst his three
sons : Shem had Iran : Japhet, the country of ' Kuttup Shamach,' the
name of the regions between the Caspian Sea and India.
There he lived two hundred and fifty years. He left eight sons, of
whom Turk was the elder and the seventh Camari, supposed the Gomer of
Scripture. Turk had four sons ; the eldest of whom was Taunak, the
fourth from whom was Mogul, a corruption of Mongol, signifying sad,
whose successors made the Jaxartes their winter abode.
[The word means ' brave ' (Howorth, Hist, of the Mongols, i. 27).]
UNDER HIS REIGN NO TRACE OF THE TRUE RELIGION REMAINED : IDOLATRY
REIGNED EVERYWHERE. AGHUZ KHAN SUCCEEDED. THE ANCIENT CIMBRI, WHO WENT
WEST WITH ODIN'S HORDE OF JATS, CHATTIS, AND SU , WERE PROBABLY THE
TRIBES DESCENDED FROM CAMARI, THE SON OF TURK.
Tacash continued to be a proper name with the great Khans of Kharizm
(Chorasmia) until they adopted the faith of Muhammad. The father of
Jalal, the foe of Jenghiz Khan, was named Tacash.
Tashkent on the Jaxartes, the capital of Turkistan, may be derived
from the name of the race. Bayer says, " Tocharistan was the region of
the Tochari, who were • the ancient Tijxapoi (Tochari), or
Taxcipot(TachaA'oi)." Amraianus Marcellinus says, " many nations obey
the Bactrians, whom the Tochari surjoass t
This singular race, the Tajiks, are repeatedly mentioned by Mr.
Elpliinstone in his admirable account of the kingdom of Kabul. They
are also particularly noticed as monopoHsing the commercial
transactions of the kingdom of Bokhara, in that interesting work.
[The term Tajik means the settled population, as opposed to the Turks
or tent-dM'ellers.
It is the same word as Tazi, ' Arab,' still surviving in the name of
the Persian greyhound, which was apparently introduced by the Arabs.
Sykes (HIST, OF PERSIA, II. 153, NOTE) and Skrine-Ross {The Heart of
Asia, 3, 364 note) state that the Tajiks represent the Iranian branch
of the Aryans.

The Mahabharata describes this warfare against the snakes literally :
of which, in one attack, he seized and made a burnt-ofering (hom) of
twenty thousand. It is surprising that the Hindu will accept these
things literally.

It might be said he had but a choice of difficulties, and that it
would be as impossible for any human being to make the barbarous
sacrifice of twenty thousand of his species, as it would be difficult
to find twenty thousand snakes for the purpose.
The author's knowledge of what barbarity will inflict leaves the fact
of the human sacrifice, though not perhaps to this extent, not even
improbable. In 1811 his duties called him to a survey amidst the
ravines of the Chambal, the tract called Gujargarh, a district
inhabited by the Gujar tribe. Turbulent and independent, like the sons
of Esau, their hand against every man and every man's hand against
them, their nominal prince, SurajmaU, the Jat chief of Bharatpur,
pursued exactlj' the same plan towards the population of these
villages, whom they captured in a night attack, that Janamejaya did to
the Takshaks : he threw them into pits with combustibles, and actually
thus consumed them !
This occurred not three-quarters of a century ago.
Arrian says that his name was Omphis [Ambhi], and that his father
dying at this time, he did homage to Alexander, who invested him with
the title and estates of his father Taxiles.
Hence, perhaps (from Tak), the name of the Indus, Attak ; [?] not
Atak, or ' forbidden,' according to modern signification, and which
has only been given since the Muhammadan religion for a time made it
the boundary between the two faiths. [All these speculations ]

In Bihar, during the reign of Pradyota, the successor of Ripunjaya.
Parsva's symbol is the serpent of Takshak. His doctrines spread to the
remotest parts of India, and the princes of Valabhipura of Ma'ndor and
Anhilwara all held to the tenets of Buddha. [As usual, Jains are confounded
with Buddhists. There is no reason to beheve that the Nagas, a
serpent-wor.shipping tribe, were not indigenous in India.]

Most ancient inscriptions Pali character, discovered wherever the
Buddhist rehgion prevailed, their being declared of the race of Tasta
or Takshak, warrants the Agnikulas to be of this same race, which
invaded India about two centuries before Christ.

FALSE EYEWASH
It was about this period that Parsvanatha the twenty-third Buddha,
appeared in India ; his symbol, the serpent. The legend of the snake
(Takshak) escaping wife the celebrated work Pingala, which was
recovered by Garuda, the eagle of Krishna, is purely figurative ; and
colorful of the contention between the followers of Parswanatha,
figured under his emblem, the snake, and those of Krishna, depicted
under his sign, the eagle.
In the case of the Sesodias of Mewar, Guhadatta, the name of its
founder is said to have belonged to the Gurjara stock, who entered
India about the sixth century of our era, and founded a kingdom in
Rajputana with its capital at Bhilmal or Srimal, about fifty miles
from Mount Abu, the scene of the regeneration of the Rajputs.
This branch, which took the name of Maitrika, is said to be closely
connected with the Mer tribe, which gave its name to Merwara, and is
fully described in The Annals.
The actual conqueror of Chitor, Bapa or Bappa, is said in inscriptions
to have belonged to the branch known as Nagar, or ' City ' Brahmans
which has its present headquarters at the town of Vadnagar in the
Baroda State.
These facts help us to understand the strange story in The Annals, and
the origin of our father Adam
Gohaditya received inauguration as chief by having his forehead
smeared with blood drawn from the finger of a Bhil
The Bhils, now a wild forest tribe, and the Rajputs.
The Bhils were the free lords of the jungle, original owners of the
soil, and though they practiced rites and followed customs repulsive
to orthodox Hindus, they did not share in the impurity which attached
to foul outcastes like the Dom or the Chandala. ,
As the Bhils were believed to be autonomous, and thus understood the
methods of controlling or conciliating the local spirits, by this form
of inauguration they passed on their knowledge to the Rajputs whom
they accepted as their lords. The relations of the Minas, another
jungle tribe of the same class, with the Kachhwahas of Jaipur were of
the same kind.
According to the bardic legend given in The Annals, the Rathors, the
second great Rajput clan, owed their origin to a migration of a body
of its members to the western Desert when the territory of Kanauj was
conquered by Shihabu-d-din in a.d. 1193. But it is now certain that
the ruling dynasty of Kanauj belonged, not to the Rathor, but to the
Gaharwar clan, and that the first Rathor settlement in Rajputana must
have occurred anterior to the conquest of Kanauj by the Musalmans.
An inscription, dated a.d. 997, found in the ruins of the ancient
town of Hathundi or Hastikundi in the Bali Hakumat of the Jodhpur
describing the popular religion of Mewar, the festival and rites in
honour of Gauri, the Mother goddess.

There are also many incidental notices of cults and superstitions
scattered throughthe work during this time.

A race of warriors like the Rajputs favours the worship of Siva who,
as the successor of Rudra, the Vedic storm-god, was originally a
terror-inspiring deity, a side of his character only imperfectly
veiled by his euphemistic title of Siva, ' the blessed or auspicious
One.'
in another inscription, dated a.d. 971, is in form of a dedication to
Lakultsa, a form of Siva represented as bearing a club, and refers to
the Saiva sect known as Lakullsa-Pasapatas. It records the name of a
king named Sri-Bappaka, ' the moon among the princes of the Guhila
dynasty,' who reigned at a place called Nagahvada, identified with
Nagda, an ancient town several times mentioned in The Annals, the
ruins of which exist at the foot of the hill on which the temple of
Eklingji stands. Sri-Bappaka is certainly Bapa or Bappa, the
traditional founder of the Mewar dynasty, which had at that time its
capital at Nagda.
From this inscription it is clear that the Eklingji temple was in
existence before a.d. 971,
The milder side of the Rajput character is represented in the cult of
Krishna at Nathdwara. The Mahant or Abbot of the temple, with image of
Kesavadeva, a form of Krishna, ' the cart bearing the image arrived at
Siarh, the god, by stopping the cart, is said to have expressed liis
intention of remaining there.
This was the origin of the famous temple, still visited by crowds of
pilgrims, and one of the leading seats of the Vallabhacharya sect, '
the Epicureans of the East,' whose practices, as disclosed in the
famous Maharaja libel case, tried at Bombay in 1861, gave rise to
grievous scandal.
Thou Emperor Akbar favoured the worship of Krishna, a feeling shared
by his successors Jahangir and Shah Jahan.
Akbar, in his search for a new faith dallied with Hindu Pandits,
Parsi priests, and Christian missionaries, and he was doubtless well
informed about the sensuous ritual of the temple of Nathdwara.

references to the cult of Bal-Siva, a form of the Sun god.
...................................It is, of course, not unlikely that
Siva, as a deity of fertility, should be associated with Sun worship,
but there is no evidence of the cult on which Tod lays special stress-
The Annals possesses importance because it represents a phase in the
study of Indian religions, ethnology, and sociology'.
He observed SINCE THE Rajputs when they were in a stage of
transition. Isolated by the inaccessibility of their country, against
the rising tide of the Muhammadan invasions To avoid anarchy and the
ultimate destruction of these States, it was necessary for them ta
accept a closer union with the British as the paramount power. By this
they lost something, but they gained much. The new connexion involved
new duties and responsiblities in adapting their primitive system of
government to modern requirements.

• love and war are their favourite themes.
• suspicious kind of historical evidence
• respecting places of pilgrimage and religious resort, profane events
• are blended with superstitious rites and ordinances, local ceremonies
• and customs.
The controversies of the Jains furnish, also, much historical
information, especially with reference to Gujarat and Nahrwala, during
the Chaulukya dynasty. From a close and attentive examination of the
Jain records, which embody all that those ancient sectarians knew of
science, many chasms in Hindu history might be filled up.
The party-spirit of the rival sects of India was, doubtless, adverse
to the purity of history ; and the very ground upon which the Brahmans
built their ascendency was the ignorance of the people.
There appears to have been in India as well as in Egypt in early
times, a coalition between the hierarchy and the state, with the view
of keeping the mass of the nation in darkness and subjugation.
These different records, works of a mixed historical and geographical
character which I know to exist ; raesas or poetical legends of
princes, which are common ; local Puranas, religious comments, and
traditionary couplets ; with authorities of a less dubious character,
namely, inscriptions ' cut on the rock,' coins, copper-p late grants,
containing charters of immunities, and expressing many singular
features of civil government, constitute, as observed, no despicable
materials for the historian, who would,
moreover,
ALL established ancient Pagan SYSTEM and THE SACRIFICE , THE LINEAGE IS

Sacred genealogy from the Puranas ; re- examined the Mahabharata, and
later Muhammadan writers incorporated the change .
The conquest by a handful of strangers for Thirty Years. The War to
show what the energy of one of these petty States, impelled by a sense
of oppression, effected against the colossal power of its enemies.
It is a portion of their history which should be deeply studied by
those who have succeeded to the paramount power ; for Aurangzeb had
less reason to distrust the stability of his dominion than we have :
yet what is now the house of Timur ?
The resources of Marwar were reduced to as low an ebb at the close of
Aurangzeb's reign, as they are at the present time ; yet did that
State surmount all its difficulties, and bring armies into the field
that annihilated the forces of the empire.
The link connecting the tribes of India Proper with the ancient races
west of the Indus, or Indo-Scythia
The ingenuous, pious, and liberal Abu-1 Fazl, when completing his
History of the Provinces of India ;
" Praise be unto God, that by the assistance of his Divine Grace, I
have completed the History of the Rajputs.
The Author's Surveys.—The route of the embassy was from Agra, through
the southern frontier of Jaipur to Udaipur.
Points laid down from celestial observation
It embraced all the extreme points of Central India : Agra, Narwar,
Datia, Jhansi, Bhopal, .Sarangpur, Ujjain, and on return from this,
the first meridian of the Hindus, by Kotah; Bundi, Rampura (Tonk),
Bayana, to Agra.

The position of all these places was more or less accurately fixed,
according to the time which could be bestowed, by astronomical
observation The position then assigned to it, with most inadequate
instruments, has been changed only 1 ' of longitude, though the
latitude amounted to about 5'.
In 1820 important journey across the Aravalli, by Kumbhalmer, Pali, to
Jodhpur, the capital of Marwar, and hence by Merta, tracing the course
of the Luni to its source at Ajmer ; and from this celebrated
residence of the Chauhan
Rajasthan presents a great variety of feature.
The highest peak of the insulated Abu, ' the saint's
pinnacle,' as it is termed, Indus west to the ' withy-covered '
Betwa on the east. From this, the most elevated spot in Hindustan,
overlooking by fifteen hundred feet
The Aravalli moimtains, his eye descends to the plains of Medpat .

From Abu to the Chambal, to the Betwa at Kotra is one thousand feet
above the sea-level, and one thousand lower than the city and valley
of Udaipur, which again is on the same level with the base of Abu, two
thousand feet above the sea. This line, is about six geographic
degrees in length :

Yet is this small space highly diversified, both in its inhabitants
and the production of the soil, whether hidden or revealed.
The essence of the extract from the Agni Pur ana is this : " When
ocean quitted his bounds and caused universal destruction by Brahma's
command, Vaiva- swata ^ Manu (Noah), who dwelt near the Himalaya ^
mountains was giving water to the gods in the Kritamala river, when a
small fish fell into his hand. A voice commanded him to preserve it.
The fish expanded to an enormous size. Manu, with his sons and their
wives, and the sages, with the seed of every living thing, entered
into a vessel which was fastened to a horn on the head of the fish,
and thus they were preser-fed."
Here, then, the grand northern chain is given to which the abode of
the great patriarch of mankind approximated. In the Bhavishya it is
stated, that " Vaivaswata (sun-born) Manu ruled at the mountain
Sumeru. Of his seed was Kakutstha Raja, who obtained sovereignty at
Ayodhya,* and his descendants filled the land and spread over the
earth."
Sumeru, designated the north pole of the earth. But they had also a
mountain with this same appellation of pre-eminence of Meru, ' the
hill,' with the prefix Su, ' good, sacred ' : the Sacred Hill.

The common word for a mountain in Sanskrit, gir, is equally so in Hebrew.

The citadel pinnacle of Kumbhalmer, range running north to Ajmer,
where it loses its tabular form, and breaking into lofty ridges, sends
numerous branches through the Shaikhavati federation, and Alwar, till
in low heights it terminates at Delhi.
FROM KUMBHALMER TO AJMER THE WHOLE SPACE IS TERMED MERWARA, AND IS
INHABITED BY THE MOUNTAIN RACE OF MER OR MAIR, THE HABITS AND HISTORY
OF WHICH SINGULAR CLASS WILL BE RELATED.
The range averages from six to fifteen miles in breadth, in the east
or west—THE ANCIENT STOCK OF THE SURYAVANS OF INDIA, OUR ' CHILDREN
OF THE SUN,' THE PRINCES OF MEWAR.
Many years ago ' The Lord of the Mountain ' was dead : the men were
all abroad, and his widow alone in the hut.
Meru signifies ' a hill ' in Sanskrit, 'the hill' or 'mountain of
Kumbha/ a prince whose exploits are narrated. Likewise Ajmer is the
'hill of Ajaymeru ,' the 'Invincible' hill.

Views from the Aravalli Hills.— along the chain, several fortresses
are observed on pinnacle guarding the passes on either side, while
numerous rills ( a small channel cut in soil) descend, pouring over
the mountain surface , seeking their devious exit between the
projecting ribs of the mountain.

RESULT : Rapid mountain fast-moving water, IN THE soil below the
chaotic mass of rock where its ' fractured pinnacles ' are seen rising
the Aravalli the ' Apennines of India '

THE GHATS ON THE MALABAR COAST OF OLDEST OF ALL THE PHYSICAL FEATURES
WHICH INTERSECT THE CONTINENT IS THE RANGE OF MOUNTAINS KNOWN AS THE
ARAVALLIS, WHICH STRILIES ACROSS THE PENINSULA FROM NORTH-EAST TO
SOUTH-WEST, OVERLOOKING THE SANDY WASTES OF RAJPUTANA.
THE ARAVALLIS DEPRESSED AND DEGRADED RELICS OF A PROMINENT MOUNTAIN SYSTEM.
The Mountain System of Central India.
The Chambal River.—The Chambal has his fountains in a very elevated
point of the Vindhya,
It has three cluster, the Chambal, Chambela, and Gambhir ; while no
less than nine other streams have their origin on the south side, and
pour their waters into the Nerbudda.
The Sipra from Pipalda, the little Sind from Dewas, and other minor
streams passing Ujjain, all unite with the Chambal in different stages
before he breaks through the plateau.
The Kali Sind, from Bagri, and its petty branch, the Sodwia, from
Raghugarh ; the Niwaz (or Jamniri), from Morsukri and Magarda ; the
Parbati, from the pass of Amlakhera, with its more eastern arm from
Daulatpur, uniting at Pharhar, are all points in the crest of the
Vindhya range, whence they pursue their course through the plateau,
rolling over precipices, till engulfed in the Chambal at the ferries
of Nunera and Pali. All these unite on the right bank.
On the left bank his flood is increased by the Banas, fed by the
perennial streams from the Aravalli, and the Berach from the lakes of
Udaipur ; and after watering Mewar, the southern frontier of Jaipur,
and the highlands of Karauli, the river turns south to unite at the
holy Sangam,' Rameswar. Minor streams contribute (unworthy, however,
of separate notice), and after a thousand involutions he reaches the
Jumna, at the holy Triveni, or ' triple-allied ' stream, between Etawa
and Kalpi.
This is the fourth Sind of India. We have, first, the Sind or Indus ;
this little Sind ; then the Kali Sind, or ' black river ' ; and again
the Sind rising at Latoti, on the plateau west and above Sironj. Sin
is a Scythio word for river (now unused), so applied by the Hindus.
[Skr. Sindhu, probably from the root syand, ' to flow.'
The falls of the Kali Sind through the rocks at Gagraun and the
Parbati at Chapra (Gugal) are well worthy of a visit. The latter,
though I encamped twice at Chapra, from which it was reputed five
miles, I did not see.
Sangam is the point of confluence of two or more rivers, always sacred
to Mahadeva.
The Jumna, Chambal, and Sind [triveni, ' triple braid '].
PHYSIOGRAPHY OF RAJASTHAN
The course of the Chambal, not reckoning the minor sinuosities, is
upwards of five hundred miles ; ^ and along its banks specimens of
nearly every race now existing in India may be found : Sondis,
Chandarawats, Sesodias, Haras, Gaur, Jadon, Sakarwal, Gujar, Jat,*
Tuar, Chauhan, Bhadauria, Kachhwaha, Sengar, Bundela ; each in
associations of various magnitudes, from the substantive state of the
little republic communes between the Chambal and Kuwari'
The Western Desert. —Having thus sketched the central portion of
Rajasthan, or that eastward of the Aravalli, I shall give a rapid
general * view of that to the west, conducting the reader over the '
Thai ka Tiba,' or ' sand hills ' of the desert, to the valley of the
Indus.
The Luni River.— The most interesting object in this arid ' region of
death ' is the ' salt river,'
The Luni, from its sources, the sacred lakes of Pushkar and Ajmer, and
the more remote arm from Parbatsar to its embouchure in the great
western salt marsh, the Rann, has a course of more than three hundred
miles.

Extensively formed by the deposits of the Luni, and the equally
saturated saline streams from the southern desert of Dhat.
The Mirage.—It is on the desiccated borders of this vast salt marsh
that the illusory phenomenon, the mirage, Such phenomena are common to
the desert, more particularly where these extensive saline depositions
exist, but varying from certain causes.
In most cases, this powerfully magnifying and reflecting medium is a
vertical stratum ; at first dense and opaque, it gradually tenuates
with increased temperature, till the maximum of heat, which it can
no longer resist, drives it off in an ethereal vapour.
The top of the ruined fortress of Hissar with unlimited range of
vision, no object to diverge its ray, save the miniature forests ; the
entire circle of tlie horizon a chain of more than fancy could form of
palaces, towers, and these airy ' pillars of heaven ' terminating in
turn their ephemeral existence.
But in the deserts of Dhat and Umrasumra, where the shepherds pasture
their flocks, and especially where the alkaline plant is produced, the
stratification is more horizontal, and produces more of the watery
deception. It is this illusion to which the inspired writer refers,
when he says, " the mock pool of the desert shall become real water "
[Isaiah xxv. 7].
The Desert.—From the north bank of the Luni to the south, and the
Shaikhavat frontier to the east, the sandy region commences.
Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer are all sandy plains, increasing in volume
as you proceed westward.
All this portion of territory is incumbent on a sandstone formation :
suroundings of all the new wells made from Jodhpur to Ajmer yielded
the same result : sand, concrete siliceous deposits, and chalk.
Though all these regions collectively bear the terra Marusthali, or '
region of death ' (the emphatic and figurative phrase for the desert),
the restrictive definition applies to a part only, that under the
dominion of the Rathor race .
From Balotra on the Luni, throughout the whole of Dhat and Umrasumra,
the western portion of Jaisalmer, and a broad strip between the
southern limits of Daudputra and Bikaner, there is real solitude and
desolation.
But from the Sutlej to the Rann, a space of five hundred miles of
longitudinal distance, and varying in breadth from fifty to one
hundred miles, numerous oases are found, where the shepherds from the
valley of the Indus and the Thai pasture their flocks.
Deluge Legend.—The Genesis of India commences with an event described
in the history of almost all nations, the deluge, which, though
treated with the fancy peculiar to the orientals, is not the less
entitled to attention.

EARLY TRADITIONS
The rivers flowing from the mountainous ranges, whose relative
position with Sumeru are thei'e defined, still retain their ancient
appellations
This sacred mountain (Sumeru) is claimed by the Brahmans as the abode
of Mahadeva,^ Adiswar,^ or Baghes ' ; by the Jains, as the abode of
Adinath,* the first Jiniswara, or Jain lord.
Here they say he taught mankind the arts of agriculture and civilized

Recent investigation has thrown much new height on the origin of the Rajputs. between the Vedic Kshatriya and the Rajput of medieval times which it is now impossible to bridge.

Some clans, with the help of an accommodating bard, may be able to trace their lineage to the Kshatriyas of Buddhist times, who recognized as one of the leading elements in Hindu society, and, in their own estimation, stood even higher than the Brahmans.

But it is now certain that the origin of many clans dates from the Saka or Kushan invasion, which began about the middle of the second century B.C., or more certainly, from that of the Huns who destroyed the Gupta empire about A.D. 480.

The Gurjara tribe adopted Hinduism, and their leaders formed the main stock from which the higher Rajput families sprang. When these new claimants to princely honours accepted the faith and institutions of Brahmanism, the attempt would naturally be made to initiate themselves to the mythical heroes whose exploits are recorded in the MAHABHARATA AND RAMAYANA.

Hence arose the body of legend recorded in The Annals by a fabulous origin from the Sun or Moon is ascribed to two great Rajput branches, a genealogy claimed by other princely families, like the Incas of Peru or the Mikado of Japan.

Or, as in the case of the Rathors of Marwar, an equally fabulous story was invented to link them with the royal house of Kanauj, one of the genuine old Hindu ruling families.

The same feeling lies at the root of the Aeneid of Virgil, the court poet of the new empire. The clan of the emperor Augustus, the lulii, a patriachician family of Alban

origin, was represented as the heirs of lulus, the supposed sou of Aeneas and founder of Alba Longa, thus linking the new Augustan ouse with the heroes of the Iliad.

semi-darkness induced constant serpent worship, which, years ago speculative writers mixed it up with occult philosophies, druidical mysteries, and that pretentious nonsense called the ' Arkite symbolism,'

Author repeatedly speaks of a people whom he calls the " Takshaks," apparently one of the Scytliian tribes.

There is, however, every reason to belive that serpent worship formed an important element in the beliefs of the Scythians, or to suppose that the cult, as we observe it in India, is of other than origin.

The term Kshatriya was, vague meaning, since it did not claim Brahnianical descent. Remember kshatriya is the warrior cult and knowledge is brahmanical

Occasionally a raja might be a Brahman by caste, but the Brahman's place at court was that of a minister rather than that of king."

HOWEVER HERE IT IS TAKEN BY MEMBERS OF THE BANIA OR MERCANTILE CLASS, BECAUSE THE BRAHMANS OF THE DESERT, BY THEIR LACK OF DISCIPLINE OF PRACTICE, HAD ACQUIRED AN VAGUE STATUS, AND WERE ILLITERATE.

Kshatriya or Rajput thus depended on status rather than on descent, and it was therefore possible for foreigners to be introduced into the tribes without any violation of the prejudices of caste, which was then only partially developed.

But as the power of the priesthood increased, it was necessary to disguise this admission of foreigners initiated a convenient fiction.

DESTRUCTION to induce another new script

Hence arose the legend, told in two different forms in The Annals, which describes how,

by a serious act of purification or initiation, under the superintendence of one of the ancient Vedic Risiiis or inspired saints, the " fire-born " septs were created to help the Brahmans in repressing Buddhism, Jainism, or other heresy

REESTABHSHING THE ANCIENT TRADITIONAL HINDU SOCIAL CULTURE , THE TEMPORARY DOWNFALL OF WHICH, UNDER THE STRESS OF FOREIGN INVASIONS, IS CAREFULLY CONCEALED IN THE HINDU SACRED LITERATURE.

This privilege was, we are told, confined to four sects, known as Agnikula

, or ' fire-born '—the PRAMAR, PARIHAR, CHALUKYA OR SOLANKI, AND THE CHAUHAN.

But there is good reason to belive according to author that the Pramar was the only sect which laid claim to this distinction before the time of the poet Chand, who flourished in the twelfth century of our era.

HOWEVER WE DISMISS ALL 5 sects AS THE ORIGINAL AGNIKULA.

That these races, the sons of Agni, were but regenerated, and

converted by the Brahm'ans to fight their battles, the clearest

interpretations of their allegorical history will disclose ;

It was in S. 987 (a.d. 931) that Bhojraj, the last of the Chawaras,

and the Salic law of India were both set aside, to make way

for the young Solanki, Mulraj* who ruled Anhilwara for the space

of fifty-eight years.

During the reign of his son and successor,

Chamimd Rae, Mahmud of Ghazni carried his desolatiag arms into

the kingdom of Anhilwara.

With its wealth he raised those

magnificent trophies of his conquest, among which the ' Celestial Bride ' might have vied with anything ever erected by man as a monument of folly .

The wealth abstracted, as reported in the liistory of the conquerors, by this scourge of India, though deemed incredible, would obtain belief, if the commercial riches of Anhilwara could be appreciated. It was to India what Venice was to Europe, the entrepot of the products of both the eastern and western hemispheres.

It fully recovered the shock given by Mahmud and the desultory wars of his successors ; and we find Siddharaja Jayasingha, the seventh from the founder, at the head of the richest, if not the most warlike, kingdom of India.

Two-and-twenty principalities at one time owned his power, from the Carnatic to the base of the Himalaya Mountains ; but his unwise successor drew upon himself the vengeance of the Chauhan, PrithAviraja, a slip of which race was engrafted, in the person of Kumarapala, on the genealogical tree of the Solankis ; and it is a curious fact that this dynasty of the Balakaraes alone gives us two examples of the Salic law of India being violated.

Kumarapala, installed on the throne of Anhilwara, ' tied round his head the turban of the Solanki.' He became of the tribe into which he was adopted. Kumarapala, as well as Siddharaja, was the patron of Buddhism ; * and the monuments erected under them

and their successors claim our admiration, from their magnificence and the perfection of the arts ; for at no period were they more cultivated than at the courts of AnhUwara.

The lieutenants of Shihabu-d-din disturbed the close of Kumarapal's reign ; and his successor, Balo Muldeo, closed this dynasty in S. 1284 (a.d. 1228), when a new dynasty, called the Vaghela

(descendants of Siddharaja) under BIsaldeo, succeeded.

The dilapidations from religious persecution were repaired ; Somnath, renowned as Delphos of old, rose from its ruins, and the kingdom of the Balakaraes was attaining its pristine magnificence, when,

under the fourth prince, Karandeva, the angel of destruction appeared in the shape of Alau-d-din, and the kingdom of AnhilwAra was annihilated.

The lieutenants of the Tatar despot of Delhi let loose the spirit of intolerance and avarice on the rich cities and fertile plains of Gujarat and Saurashtra.

In contempt of their faith, the altar of an Islamite Darvesh was placed in contact with the shrine of Adinath, on the most accessible of their sacred mounts : the statues of Buddha [the Jain Tirthankaras were thrown down, and the books containing the mysteries of their faith suffered the same fate as the Alexandrian library.

The walls of Anhilwara were demolished ; its foundations excavated, and again filled up with the fragments of their ancient temples.

The remnants of the Solanki dynasty were scattered over the land, and this portion of India remained for upwards of a century without any paramount head, until, by a singular dispensation of Providence, its splendour was renovated, and its foundations rebuilt, by an adventurer of the same race from which the Agnikulas were originally converts,

though Saharan the Tak hid his name and his tribe under his new epithet of Zafar Khan, and as Muzaffar ascended the throne of Gujarat, which he left to his son. This son was Ahmad, who founded Ahmadabad, whose most splendid edifices were built from the ancient cities around it.

Baghels.

—Though the stem of the Solankis was thus uprooted, yet was it not before many of its branches (Sakha), like their own indigenous bar-tree, had fixed themselves in other soils.

The most prominent of these is the Baghela * family, which gave its name to an entire division of Hindustan ; and Bagtielkhand lias now been ruled for many centuries by the descendants of Siddharaja.

Besides Bandhugarh, tliere are minor cliieftainsliips still in Gujarat of the Baghela tribe. Of these, Pethapur and Tharad are the most conspicuous.

One of the chieftains of the second class in Mewar is a Solanki, and traces his line immediately from

Siddharaja : this is the chief of Rupnagar, whose stronghold commands one of the passes leading to Marwar, and whose family annals would furnish a fine picture of the state of border-feuds.

Few of them, till of late years, have died natural deaths.

The Solanki is divided into sixteen branches].

1. Baghela—Raja of Baghelkhand (capital Bandhugarh),

Raos of Pitapur, Tharad, and Adalaj, etc.

2. Birpura—Rao of Lunawara.

3. Bahala—Kalyanpur in Mewar, styled Rao, but serving

the chief of Salumbar.

4. , oil" Baru, Tekra, and Chahir, in Jaisalmer.

5. Kalacha ^ J

6. Langaha—^Muslims about Multan.

7. Togra—-Muslims in the Panjnad.

8. Brika— ,, „

9. Surki—In Deccan.

10. Sarwaria '—Girnar in Saurashtra.

11. Raka—Toda in Jaipur.

12. Ranakia—Desuri in Mewar.

13. Kharara—Alota and Jawara, in Malwa.

14. Tantia—Chandbhar Sakanbari.*

15. Almecha—No land.

16. Kalamor—Gujarat.^

Pratihara or Parihara.—Of this, the last and least of _the Agnikulas, we have not much to say.

The Pariharas never acted a conspicuous part in the history of Rajasthan. They are always discovered in a subordinate capacity, acting in feudal subjection to the Tuars of Delhi or the Chauhans of Aimer ; and the brightest page of their history is the record of an abortive attemi^t of Nahar Rao to maintain his independence against Prithwiraja.

THOUGH A PRITHVIRAJ CHAUHAN A FAILURE, IT HAS IMMORTALIZED HIS NAME, AND GIVEN TO THE SCENE OF ACTION, ONE OF THE PASSES OF THE ARAVALLI, A MERITED CELEBRITY.

Mandor (classically Maddodara) was the capital of the Parihars, and was the chief city of Marwar which owned the sway of this tribe prior to the invasion and settlement of the Rathors. It is placed five miles northward of the modern Jodhpur, and preserves some specimens of the ancient Pali

character, fragments of sculpture and Jain temples.

The Rathor emigrant princes of Kanauj found an asylum with the Parihars. They repaid it by treachery, and Chonda, a name celebrated in the Rathor annals, dispossessed the last of the

Parihars, and pitched the flag of the Rathors on the battlements of Mandor.

The power of the Parihars had, however, been much reduced previously by the princes of Mewar, who not only abstracted much territory from them, but assumed the title of its princes—Rana.^

The Parihara is scattered over Rajasthan, but the existence of independent chieftainship there. At the confluence of the Kuhari, the Sind, and the Chambal, there is a colony of this race, which has given its name to a commune of twenty-four villages, besides hamlets, situated amidst the ravines of these streams.

They were nominally subjects of Sindhia ; but it was deemed requisite for the line of defence along the

Chambal that it should be included within the British demarcation, by which most notorious body of thieves in the annals of Thug history.

The Parihars had twelve subdivisions, of which the chief were the Indha and Sindhal : a few of both are still to be found about the banks of the Luni.

Chawara or Chaura.—This tribe was once renowned in the history of India, though its name is now scarcely known Ti, or only in the chronicles of the bard.

Of its origin - ignorance.

It belongs neither to the Solar nor Lunar race, and consequently

- presume it to be of Scythic origin.

might have been compelled by the irruptions of the Arabians, who at this period carried on a trade with these parts, and the plunder of some of their vessels may have brought this punislimeut

on the Chawaras. That it was owing to some such political catastrophe, we have additional gxounds for beh'ef from the annals of Mewar, which state that its princes inducted the Chawaras into

the seats of the power they abandoned on the continent and peninsula of Saurashtra.

At all events, the prince of Deo laid the foundation of Anhilwara Patan in S. 802 (a.d. 74.6), which henceforth became the capital city of this portion of India, in lieu of Valabhipura, which gave the title of Balakaraes to its princes, the Balhara of the earlier Arabian travellers, and following them, the geographers of Europe."

Vana Raja (or, in the dialects, Banraj) was this founder, and his dynasty ruled for one hundred and eighty-four years, when, as related in the sketch of the Solanki tribe, Bhojraj, the seventh

from the founder, was deposed by his nephew.

It was during this dynasty that the Arabian travellers ^ visited this court, of which they have left but a confused picture. We are not, however, altogether in darkness regarding the Chawara race, as in

the Khuman Raesa, one of the chronicles of Mewar, mention is made of the auxiliaries under a leader named Chatansi, in the defence of Chitor against the first attack on record of the Muhammadans

When Mahmud of Ghazni invaded Saurashtra and captured its capital, Anhilwara, he deposed its and placed upon the throne, according to Ferishta, a prince of the former dynasty, renowned for his ancient line and purity of blood, and who is styled Dabichalima ; a name which has jiuzzled all European commentators.

Now the Dabhi was a celebrated tribe, said by some to be a branch of the Chawara, and this therefore may be a compound of Dabhi Chawara, or the Chaurasima, by some called a branch of the ancient Yadus.

This ancient connexion between the Surya\ansi cliiefs and the Chawaras, or Sauras, of Saurashtra, is still maintained after a lapse of more than one thousand years ; for although an alliance with the Rana's family is deemed the highest honour that a Hindu prince can obtain, as being the first in rank in Rajasthan, yet is the humble Chawara sought out, even at the foot of fortune's ladder, whence to carry on the blood of Rama.

The present heir-apparent of a line of ' one hundred kings,' the prince Jawan Singh [1828-38], is the offspring of a Chawara mother, the daughter of a petty chieftain of Gujarat. It were vain to give any account of the present stale of the families bearing this name. They must depend upon the fame

of past days ; to this we leave them.

Tak or Takshak.—Takshak appears to be the generic term of the race from which the various Scythic tribes, the early invaders of India, branched off. It appears of more ancient application than Getae, which was the parent of innumerable sakha.

It might not be judicious to separate them, though it would be speculative to say which was the primitive title of the races called Scythic, after their country, Sakatai or Sakadwipa, the land of

the great Getae.

Abulghazi makes Taunak^ the son of Turk or Targetai, who appears to be the Turushka of the Puranas, the Tukyuks of the Chinese historians, the nomadic Tokhari of Strabo, who aided to

overturn the Greek kingdom of Bactria, and gave their name to the grand division of Asia, Tokharistan or Turkistan : and there is every appearance of that singular race, tlie Tajik,* still scattered over these regions, and whose history appears a mystery, being the descendants of the Takshak.

It has been already observed, that ancient inscriptions in t)ie Pali or Buddhist character have been discovered in various parts of Rajasthan, of the race called Tasta, Takshak, and Tak, relating

to the tribes, the Mori [or Maurya], Pramara, their descendants.

Naga and Takshak are synonymous appellations in Sanskrit for the snake, and the Takshak is the celebrated Nagvansa of the early heroic history of India.

Roots of Sufism

Sufism is older than Islam. Sufis are typically Arabic but their faith
traces its roots back to Abraham. The religion most similar to Sufism
would be Sikhism. In fact the Sikh history has several Sufis as their
saints.

The foundation was Prophet Abraham. Ishmael, who was the first son of
Abraham from Hagar
, Sarah's handmaiden. Since his wife Sarah didn't believe they would
have a child when she was in her eighties and gave her husband
permission to have a son with her concubine.

But later after Sarah gave birth to her own son, Isaac, tension arose

Abraham took Hagar and Ishmael to the desert himself, where he left
them and returned to his household. In the desert, the young Ishmael
cried with thirst. His mother searched for water, which resulted in
her running seven times between the Safa and Marwah hills, before God
helped them by making spring water gush forth from the Zamzam well,.

Ishmael is mentioned closely with his father Abraham: in their attempt
to set up the Kaaba in Mecca.. Ishmael is further mentioned alongside
the patriarchs who had been given revelations.
The testifying their faith in the narrative of the near-sacrifice of
Abraham's son, This knowledge was passed on from master to disciple
throughout the centuries.

Abraham's legacy to his son Ishmael was the school of spiritual
knowledge based on self realization as the door toward understanding
the path to oneness with God. Before the time of the prophet the
discipline was simply called the understanding. The understanding was
based on God's Law."

Centuries and centuries later, these mystics who still practiced the
teachings of Abraham sought to learn more about the teachings of a
prophet named Muhammad.

The history of Sufism records that during the lifetime of the Prophet
Mohammed, fifteen centuries ago, there was a group of pious
individuals from different Arabic nations who were guided by this
ancient understanding. These individuals sought for the direct
experience of the Divine. As they became companions of the Prophet,
they were people of principles practicing certain disciplines and
meditations for the sake of purification, the realization of Divine
love, and the understanding of reality. They were the Lovers of God
who sought union with Him through losing the limited self in His
Divinity (fana), and remaining alive in that Reality (bagha).

These individuals met on the platform, or suffe, of the mosque where
Prophet Mohammed used to pray in Medina, Arabia. They would meet there
almost every day to discuss the ways to inner knowledge, the truths of
revelation, and debate the meanings of the revelations of the prophet
Muhammad. This was long before the Koran was ever written.

The Koran was written after the death of the Prophet. The secret
teachings of the Sufis were never included in the Koran. The platform
of that mosque in Medina became the first gathering place of one of
the most influential groups in the history of mankind's spiritual
civilization. They were called AHLE SUFFE, the People of the Platform.

These individuals brought to Islam the spiritual practice based on
knowledge of the self, and thus free of the trappings of tradition and
superstition, knowledge of the inner heart apart from the customary
beliefs of their contemporary society as well as those of future
civilizations.

It is from this group that all the schools of Sufism that have ever
existed owe their origin, for by pursuing the path of unsullied inner
knowledge they were the founders of Sufism, and the binding link
between its subsequent developments. Avoiding proselytizing among the
multitude, their gatherings were held in private, open only to true
seekers of reality. Instead of preaching in public, these pious
individuals were searchers for truth, not performers of oratory.

After the Prophet passed away, each of the people of SUFFE returned to
his homeland to instruct students upon the path of inner knowledge.

History shows that within a century or two their style of self
understanding and discipline were introduced by their students to
nations as diverse and widely separated as Persia, India, Indonesia,
Syria, Egypt, Mesopotamia, and North Africa.

Their teachings were based on individual understanding and direct
experience, not just on particular texts or rote learning. In this
manner their fundamental teachings have been preserved in their style
up to the present, instead of withering away into the empty formula of
scholasticism.

Through this process of distribution, different schools and orders of
Sufism gradually emerged from the single original group of suffe at
Medina. Their practices differ from one another in emphasis and
doctrine, but all legitimate Sufi schools trace their ultimate origins
back to the ancient teachings of Abraham.

Abduction Phenomena

The terms alien abduction or abduction phenomenon describe "subjectively real memories of being taken secretly against one's will by apparently nonhuman entities and subjected to complex physical and psychological procedures". While many of these claimed encounters are described as terrifying, some have been viewed as pleasurable or transformative. Few experiencers "didn't physically go anywhere.

This mantis-like creature is reminiscent of the insectoid-type entity .

When psychologist and UFO researcher Don Donderi said that these cases were "evidence of psychological processes" that did not "have anything to do with a physical alien abduction,

“the experiencer had eye burns, saw lights and there seemed to be residual poltergeist activity.

Due to a lack of any substantial physical evidence, most scientists and mental health professionals dismiss the phenomenon as "deception, suggestibility (fantasy-proneness, hypnotizability, and false-memory syndrome), personality, sleep phenomena, psychopathology, psychodynamics [and] environmental factors".

THE CONTENTS OF THE ABDUCTION NARRATIVE OFTEN SEEM TO VARY WITH THE HOME CULTURE OF THE ALLEGED ABDUCTEE. ALTHOUGH DIFFERENT CASES VARY IN DETAIL. THEY GENERALLY FOLLOW THE SEQUENCE NOTED BELOW, THOUGH NOT ALL ABDUCTIONS FEATURE ALL THE EVENTS:

CAPTURE. The abductee is forcibly taken from terrestrial surroundings to an apparent alien space craft.

EXAMINATION AND PROCEDURES. Invasive physiological and psychological procedures, and on occasion simulated behavioral situations, training & testing, or sexual liaisons.

CONFERENCE. The abductors communicate with the abductee or direct them to interact with specific individuals for some purpose.

TOUR. The abductees are given a tour of their captors' vessel, though this is disputed by some researchers who consider this definition a confabulation of intent when just apparently being taken around to multiple places inside the ship.

LOSS OF TIME. Abductees often rapidly forget the majority of their experience, either as a result of fear, medical intervention, or both.

RETURN. The abductees are returned to earth, occasionally in a different location from where they were allegedly taken or with new injuries or disheveled clothing.

THEOPHANY. Coinciding with their immediate return, abductee may have a profound sense of love, a high, or "mystical experience", accompanied by a feeling of oneness with God, the universe, or their abductors. Whether this is the result of a metaphysical change, Stockholm syndrome, or prior medical tampering is often not scrutinized by the abductees at the time.

AFTERMATH. The abductee must cope with the psychological, physical, and social effects of the experience.

The entire abduction event is precisely orchestrated. All the procedures are predetermined. There is no standing around and deciding what to do next. The beings are task-oriented and there is no indication whatsoever that we have been able to find of any aspect of their lives outside of performing the abduction procedures.[

CAPTURE

Abduction claimants report unusual feelings preceding the onset of an abduction experience. These feelings manifest as a compulsive desire to be at a certain place at a certain time or as expectations that something "familiar yet unknown," will soon occur. Abductees also report feeling severe, undirected anxiety at this point even though nothing unusual has actually occurred yet.This period of foreboding can last for up to several days before the abduction actually takes place or be completely absent.

Eventually, the experiencer will undergo an apparent "shift" into an altered state of consciousness." External sounds cease to have any significance to the experiencer and fall out of perception. They report feeling introspective and unusually calm. This stage marks a transition from normal activity to a state of "limited self-willed mobility."

As consciousness shifts one or more lights are alleged to appear, occasionally accompanied by a strange mist. The source and nature of the lights differ by report, sometimes the light emanates from a source outside the house (presumably the abductors'), sometimes the lights are in the bedroom with the experiencer and transform into alien figures.

As the alleged abduction proceeds, claimants say they will walk or be levitated into an alien craft, often through solid objects like walls or a window. Alternatively, they may experience rising through a tunnel with or without the abductors accompanying them into the awaiting craft.

The examination phase of the so-called "abduction narrative" is characterized against or irrespective of the will of the experiencer. Such procedures often focus on sex and reproductive biology. However, the literature holds reports of a wide variety of procedures allegedly performed by the beings.

Subsequent abduction procedures

Common among these post-examination procedures are what abduction researchers refer to as imaging, envisioning, staging, and testing.

"Imaging" procedures consist of an abductee being made to view screens displaying images and scenes that appear to be specially chosen with the intent to provoke certain emotional responses in the abductee.

"Envisioning" is a similar procedure, with the primary difference being that the images being viewed, rather than being on a screen, actually seem to be projected into the experiencer's mind.

"Staging" procedures have the abductee playing a more active role, according to reports containing this element. It shares vivid hallucination-like mental visualization with the envisioning procedures, but during staging the abductee interacts with the illusionary scenario like a role player or an actor or a highly spiritual soul or a prophet

"Testing" marks something of a departure from the above procedures in that it lacks the emotional analysis feature.

During testing the experiencer is placed in front of a complicated electronic device and is instructed to operate it. The experiencer is often confused, saying that they do not know how to operate it. However, when they actually set about performing the task, the abductee will find that they do, in fact, know how to operate the machine.

Bullard also studied the 300 reports of alien abduction in an attempt to observe the less prominent aspects of the claims. He notes the emergence of four general categories of events that recur regularly, although not as frequently as stereotypical happenings like the medical examination.

Chronologically within abduction reports these episodes tend to happen in the order listed, between the examination and the return. After allegedly displaying cold callous disregard towards the abduction experiencers, sometimes the entities will change drastically in behavior and become more relaxed and hospitable towards their captive.

The tour seems to be given by the alleged abductors as a courtesy in response to the harshness perhaps traveling on a "journey" to orbit around Earth or to what appear to be other planets.

Some abductees find that the experience is terrifying, particularly if the aliens are of a more fearsome species, or if the abductees was subjected to extensive probing and testing.

Eventually the abductors will return the abductees to terra firma, usually to exactly the same location and circumstances they were in before being taken.

Usually, explicit memories of the abduction experience will not be present, and the abductee will realize they have experienced "missing time" upon checking a timepiece.

Realization event

Physician and abduction researcher John G. Miller sees significance in the reason a person would come to see themselves as being a victim of the abduction phenomenon.

He terms the insight or development leading to this shift in identity from non-abductee to abductee the "realization event."

The realization event is often a single, memorable experience, but Miller reports that not all abductees experience it as a distinct episode. Either way, the realization event can be thought of as the "clinical horizon" of the abduction experience.

Trauma and recovery

Most people alleging alien abductions report invasive examinations of their bodies] and some ascribe psychological trauma to their experiences. Alleged abductees claim their memories of the abduction events have caused posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Support groups for people who believed they were abducted began throughout the United States, Canada and Australia.

Therapeutically Hypnosis

Many alien abductees recall much of their abduction(s) through hypnosis. Because of this, it is claimed by some skeptics that the vast majority of evidence for alien abduction is based on memories 'recovered' through hypnosis.

Due to the extensive use of hypnosis, the abduction narratives are frequently explained by skeptics as false memories and suggestions by the hypnotherapist

Alleged abductees seek out hypnotherapists to try to resolve issues.

FEW STEPS ARE HYPOTHESIZED TO LEAD TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF FALSE MEMORIES:

1. A person is predisposed to accept the idea that certain puzzling or inexplicable experiences might be telltale signs of UFO abduction.

2. The person seeks out a therapist, whom he or she views as an authority and who is, at the very least, receptive to this explanation and has some prior familiarity with abduction reports.

3. Alternatively, the therapist frames the puzzling experiences in terms of an abduction narrative.

4. There is increasing commitment to the abduction explanation and increasing anxiety reduction associated with ambiguity reduction.

5. The therapist legitimates or ratifies the abductees’ experience, which constitutes additional positive reinforcement.

6. The client adopts the role of the "victim" or abductee, which becomes integrated into the psychotherapy and the client’s view of self.

The Psychopathic Influence

Evil people are often busy building for themselves various fronts for disguise to further their ambitions. "They are likely to exert themselves more than most in their enduring effort to obtain and maintain an image of high respectability." evil does not reveal itself as the bad. Evil will very rarely expose itself to public light. It must hide. And it almost always hides under the pretext of something virtuous.

In fact, rather than hiding in the shadows dressed in black, it disguises itself in uniforms of holy men or suits and charitable organizations, which allow it to deceive us into thinking it's our savior. This enables it to cause far greater damage.

GAME OF DESTROYING PEOPLE

Modus Operandi: THE COMMON TRAPS ARE STAGED EVENTS.

They like to function in a manner, below visible levels where they are killing you every second; it's just longer than the murder that most people are accustomed to hearing about. Establishment of medical conditions to cause events that can come close to killing oneself. In other words, they are the veiled Evil.

The mocking & controlling behavior of the psychopathic mind is motivated by a claim for submission. The submission brings them feelings of excitement consisting of a type of victory. They enjoy what they consider to be a game of destroying people. It's amusing to them. And because they control the system in the social order or religious or spiritual, they know they risk little in being exposed or stopped.

For those who don't willingly comply, they'd rather use non-physical influence, threats, blackmail, verbal missiles, false emails to friends and contacts, humiliating one to the lowest whether or not someone can be set for a heart attack or stroke, while trying to maintain a logical deniability.

They try to edge, on countless occasions that one is aware .They wants to see how far one can get exposing & stopping their system, by attacking only in ways to see how much suffering the victim can endure. This seems to be a deviation of the "game" scenario. I've often wondered if at some point they'll cut their losses because the risks are beginning to balance the advantages.

A CITY BASED PSYCHOLOGIST PROCLAIMED, AND ADDED, "THOSE WHO ARE EVIL ARE MASTERS OF DISGUISE."

Very true as I can write this article after my personal experience with a Psychopath and how I could not recognize the game. I found it very hard convincing another as it was much smarter than what I was. Much more calm and I was powerless shattering, yelling to prove my point and the feeling of helplessness gripped with fear.

I originally attributed these incidences to random bad luck. When they occurred, I had not noticed that they may have been part of a larger pattern. But after analyzing them within the context of this new understanding, they take on a different meaning. They include possible framings & staged events. Looking back, this event makes sense. But at the time it didn't. Looking back, I think that probably the major attacks, is a common trait by these psychopath.

I've noticed these types of attacks are used consistently. Scenarios where friends are used on targets in an attempt to degrade by ending the relationship under humiliating circumstances, character assassination, framed mental illness, emotional torture, verbal abuse etc

Fear of someone’s blatant lie with manipulated evidences. The wish to inflict pain for the satisfaction to see the other suffer, are almost never apparent to the viewer. The reason for this is that another core trait of the psychopath is disguise.

A well sketch preparation to wrongly subjugate and each time I escaped his trap he had a superior chart masterminded. Even during the most inhuman act they show "no difficulty at all in looking anyone calmly in the eyes." they will "lie about any matter, under any circumstances." it is difficult to express how completely straightforward they appear when telling a blatant lie. They are well aware that their mental makeup is drastically different from the majority. They have a sixth sense for detecting and exploiting any weakness you may have. They also learn how to detect others like themselves out of a crowd of normal people.

An expert refers to a class of individuals who have been around forever and who are found in every race, culture, society and walk of life,” "It is not a pretty picture," he warns, "and some express doubt that such people exist." "Morally wicked individuals who represent the 'monsters' in our society. They are unstoppable and untreatable predators whose violence is planned, purposeful and emotionless."

In addition to carrying out goal-oriented acts, the psychopath will also deceive and create chaos for no reason other than the enjoyment of doing so. "He will," "in fact, commit such deeds in the absence of any apparent goal at all." This critical factor is often the one which baffles most rational people. When seeking a justification for the behavior of a psychopath, they will attempt to apply reason. But, when dealing with a psychopath, we must understand that psychopathy is the reason.

When people hear the word psychopath, most think of the famous serial killers locked away in prison. However, most don't end up in prison or mental hospitals. "The true difference between them and the psychopaths who continually go to jails or to psychiatric hospitals are that they keep up a far better and more consistent outward appearance of being normal."

"This outward appearance," is essentially a mask, which, "may include business or professional careers that continue in a sense successful, and which are truly successful when measured by financial REWARD, sexual relations or by the casual observer's opinion of real accomplishment."

"Many psychopaths never go to prison or any other facility.”They appear to function reasonably well--as lawyers, doctors, psychiatrists, academics, mercenaries, police officers, cult leaders, military personnel, business people, writers, artists, entertainers, and so forth--without breaking the law." "Their intelligence, family background, social skills, and circumstances permit them to construct a facade of normalcy."

IN FACT, MANY SUCCESSFUL AND ADAPTED NON-VIOLENT SOCIOPATHS CAN BE FOUND IN OUR SOCIETY."

Most of these people are not just right in your places of worship, schools, charitable organizations, and workplaces, but by their very nature, they are likely running them. It is a core trait of the psychopath to place themselves in positions of influence, not for public service, but for power.

So unfortunately, these individuals usually mask themselves as good-natured people. They’ll create nonprofit organizations as part of their mask.

ALERT AND FRIENDLY IN HIS ATTITUDE, HE IS EASY TO TALK WITH AND SEEMS TO HAVE A GOOD MANY GENUINE INTERESTS. THERE IS NOTHING AT ALL ODD OR QUEER ABOUT HIM, AND IN EVERY RESPECT HE TENDS TO EMBODY THE CONCEPT OF A WELL-ADJUSTED, HAPPY PERSON."

"Psychopaths are often sharp and eloquent," "They can be witty and engaging conversationalists, ready with quick and clever comeback, and can tell unlikely but convincing stories that cast themselves in a good light. They can be very effective in presenting themselves well and are often very likable and charming."

REMEMBER, MOST OF THEM DON'T PSYCHICALLY HURT PEOPLE, SO THIS IS ABOUT MENTAL AND EMOTIONAL DOMINATION. TO ACCOMPLISH THESE OBJECTIVES, THEY WILL USE THEIR MASK OF SANITY TO PLACE THEMSELVES IN POSITIONS WITHIN YOUR COMMUNITY. THESE POSITIONS MAY INCLUDE SCHOOL BOARDS, CHARITABLE ORGANIZATIONS, CHURCHES, POLITICS, LAW ENFORCEMENT, OR ANY POSITION WHICH THEY BELIEVE WILL OFFER THEM POWER OVER OTHERS. THESE ARE THE PLACES WHERE MOST PSYCHOPATHS END UP, NOT JAIL.

It took me a long time to accept the fact that I was a prey to a psychopath until I encountered the other women before and after me with the similar experience. This was the way of the one above all as I was naïve and chose not to believe the many proof specified until a more dreadful situation of a similar pattern was revealed.

Psychopaths, also called sociopaths, are categorized as those who exhibit superficial charm and intelligence, and are absent of delusions or nervousness.

11. A frequent need for excitement

12. An inflated self-worth

13. An ability to rationalize their behavior

14. A need for complete power

15. A need to dominate others

According to studies psychopaths don't feel emotion in a normal sense; they do experience boredom, envy, exhilaration, contempt, sadistic pleasure, anger, and hints of depression.

These character types comprise about 4% of the population and span every level of society. Psychopaths can be found in every race, culture, profession and class. Because the term psychopath has been used to describe APD types and sociopaths, as they always mask them when seeking positions of power. If a rational person tries to apply their logic while trying to understand the reason for an objective or act of a psychopath, they will fail.

Likewise, when a rational person hears of the possibility that a massive lie has been told by a trusted leader, and they attempt to use their logic to determine whether or not such a lie is possible, they will usually not believe the truth (that they have fallen for a huge lie).

The reason for this is that although most of us can identify with small lies, we find it difficult to conclude that such a massive lie is possible. When I use the term massive lie, I don't just mean a complete falsehood regarding a major event, but also the scope of its influence and the amount of people that have fallen for it.

Psychopaths are always able to defend their actions, no matter how brutal. They have, "an ability to diminish their behavior so that it appears acceptable, reasonable, and justified," says a Senior Psychiatrist.

According to Dr. Henry, "Psychopaths show a stunning lack of concern for the devastating effects their actions have on others. Often they are completely forthright about the matter, calmly stating that they have no sense of guilt, [and] are not sorry for the pain and destruction they have caused is associated with a remarkable ability to rationalize their behavior."

Psychopathy is usually untreatable. Most therapists won't work with them because they often end up damaged in the process. Therapists feel overwhelmed by the complex mass of lies and twisted motives ... into which we will be drawn if they attempt to work with such people..."

One of the Psychiatrists says “established healing approach actually makes them, worse, then far cleverer at manipulating others and concealing their behavior. They are generally considered to be not only untreatable but also permanent." Basically psychopaths are the way they are for life.

In most legal jurisdiction they are considered sane. So technically, they're not mentally ill, just different.

Evil people can be rapidly influenced by any means other than unrefined power. They do not respond "to either gentle kindness or any form of spiritual persuasion. Beyond age, race, and religion. In other words, almost not human as we know it. More accurately it means antihuman. Imagining the world as the psychopath experiences it is close to impossible."

The world of pathological egotism and terror is so difficult to understand for people outside the scope of this experience that they often manifest innocent immaturity, even if they are psychopathology or psychologists by profession."

But, if you can, try to imagine someone who seeks to torture another person physically or emotionally for the enjoyment of watching they suffer. Imagine someone doing these things, and not losing a moment of sleep at night (zero remorse).

And add to all this, the ability to conceal themselves from an extremely naive public. Psychopaths are essentially aliens that look human. Probably one of the best skills to learn is how to detect and avoid a psychopath.

Remember, a need for absolute power over others is a core trait of the psychopath.

Goal-oriented deceitfulness, superficial charm, an outward friendly appearance, and having no remorse, are other traits which will allow them to achieve their goals.

Deceitfulness is a core psychopathic trait and IS antihuman!

Compared to regular law-breaking criminals, these people appear to be OK, on the surface.

But as we've learned, lies, deception, and disguise are standard traits of those who are evil. And their slaves are gossip mongers and people filled with jealousy and judgments

"[They] come from the very highest social strata,” "They are highly educated and extremely cultured. Many of them have lifelong reputations for philanthropy. Nobody enjoys being put in the position of accusing prominent people of conspiring to enslave their fellow beings, but the facts are inescapable."

The PATTERN: lying, deceiving and ATROCITIES, harassment, mind games seems to be the norm.

Regarding this another expert said, "We then usually reach the conclusion that the deed would not have taken place ... since the indispensable component it its origin is genesis of evil."

He explained, "Within this interlocking structure, one kind of evil feeds and opens doors for others regardless of any individual or doctrinal motivations." Finally, he suggests, "Since pathological factors are present within the syntheses of most instances of evil, they are also present in its variety."

Moreover, they often are recognized as leaders in the legitimate quest for world peace and tranquility." He continued, "Many are active in spiritual or religious work and give freely to good causes." The reason for endless wars and never-ending turmoil becomes clear once you understand the nature of the psychopath, it makes perfect sense.

When a nation or other organization begins this process of evil, psychopaths and other deviants are attracted to it like a magnet. Like-minded individuals are installed in key positions of influence.

Behind the mask

It's very difficult to describe with words an event that must be experienced in order to understand. The event I'm referring to is the observation of the psychopath or psychopathic system in its true form, after the mask has been removed. It can be described as something deeply horrific. This is a gut-wrenching experience for a normal person, and can cause severe trauma, especially if they can't escape it.

I can agree to the statement when the experts say "If someone has personally experienced such a nightmarish reality," he considers people who have not progressed in understanding it within the same time frame to be simply presumptuous, sometimes even malicious." "This experience," he continues, is unceremoniously rejected by ... people and becomes a psychological burden for him, forcing him to live within a narrow circle of persons whose experiences have been similar."

This encounter with a psychopathic aspect has been the experience of many Mobbing and secret Evil targets across the planet.

"Sadistic control is also an element of perversion," which is an indication of "psychopathic disturbance."

"Psychopaths view people as little more than objects to be used for their own gratification,”. "The weak and the vulnerable--whom they mock, rather than pity--are favorite targets." This helps to explain the reports of people being targeted by the Evil for no particular reason, other than being decent.

"The outer layer closest to the original content is used for the group's propaganda purposes," "Average people succumb to the first layer's suggestive insinuations for a long time before they learn to understand the second one as well." "Anyone with certain psychological deviations," He explains "especially if he is wearing the mask of normality ... immediately perceives the second layer to be attractive and significant; after all, it was built by people like him."

The pathological factor to clarify why people who are more spiritually and morally evolved than the masses, are being identified and targeted.

According to researchers, these types of individuals are the first to be targeted in regimes controlled by psychopaths. They explain that the psychopath's "perception of others' pleasures arouses only envy and greed in themselves." And that they receive, "gratification of sadistic impulses through intentional infliction of emotional or physical pain upon others."

"Psychopathic individuals who never enter psychotherapy are paradigms of this hatred of goodness," although envy is not consciously felt, it is the driving force for the motivation of their destructive behavior.

This behavior as "manipulative cycling" which includes a "mocking, [and] controlling attitude" while attacking their targets.

"The manipulative cycle as explained by experts, "both enhances his conceit and protects his susceptibility." This cycle is ongoing because the threat to the inflated self is ever present. This cycle is a purification process for the psychopath. "The desire to control and degrade the actual object . . . may be fueled by the sadistic pleasure inherent in the behavior,"

The mocking and controlling behavior exhibited by these against their targets, appears to be part of the manipulative cycling. This makes even more sense when we consider that the controlling psychopathic will recruit lower-level psychopaths to do their bidding.

The most attention-grabbing technique that I have come transversely from the sufferers is a weird mind control. The victim gets visions of the abuser as someone high with values and morals. Also the mental picture in mindful levels where naked demons sexually distressing the victim. This is been exposed by numerous men and women. The abuser hold the far-flung power to the brain of the prey and all feelings are understood by the abuser. I am yet to find out this new theory of persecution which is revealed in recent times. Most of them have given on paper proof of their circumstance in case of damage to them and appropriate trial to be in use.

Summary

A small portion of the population have a psychological makeup which is much different than most. They are completely aware of their difference. They also know that most people are not aware of this profound separation.

The difference includes an emotional deficiency accompanied by a lack of remorse, which allows them to operate outside of standard moral boundaries. They are able to conceal this difference to some degree and usually appear to be generous and friendly.

They consistently engage in antisocial behavior which includes destroying people's lives, in order to feed their inflated egos.

During this process they frequently enjoy mocking their targets, which they see as weak, or are envious of. They will inflict pain upon others the target for no reason other than the enjoyment of doing so. They span all levels of society.

Many historical atrocities were caused by psychopaths. An organization or nation under a psychopathic influence will become saturated with its sickness. It will exhibit these destructive traits, from the upper levels, down to the smallest village. The Hidden Evil is a psychopathic program which exists in a society controlled by psychopaths.

Society favors the opinions of "experts" who are "authorized" to produce a sanitized version however there is no replacement for direct experience. I also think it's important that their tactics are recorded to some extent so that future generations will know that it not only happened, but how it happened.

I've done my best to write this from a dissociated state, so as to minimize personal bias. I've also tried to be mindful of the tendency of most of us to exaggerate. When society turns tyrannical, it's up to the people to counter the lies. The testimony of the persons that have endured the terror be the lifeline of truth.

As thin as this lifeline may be, when compared to the massive conduits of deceit constructed by slaves of EVIL, it is absolutely critical that it exists.

Have you ever experienced the feeling that someone is close to you in your room at night. Or perhaps a freezing sensation that you are not alone occupying the room. However, it should be remembered that natural distortions and the brain's phenomenal ability to create meaningful shapes and faces out of random patterns is a possibility. 5. In order to prevent mirrors being used as a portal by supernatural entities, the mirror should be frequently moved to different areas of the room. Mirrors with a solid backing placed in the same position for a long period of time, are more likely to become spiritual portals.

There are hundreds of documented cases of haunted mirrors and they tend to have similar characteristics. People have reported paranormal experiences when:

News of paranormal activity after using mirrors for divination /scrying. Usually no protection was used by the participants and it is thought that they may have created a portal. Your homeward journey is approximately approaching to complete and
your intent to awaken is spiraling daily because you chose to be here
and awaken, and the intensification of your intent is aligned with the
timeline that you have set for that awakening. It is a little like
setting the alarm clock to wake you up in the morning: many of you
wake before long before it intrudes noisily on your sleep and cancel
it. Setting the alarm is making an intent, and spiritually you have
set the intent to awaken into Reality, and the moment of awakening
will not be because of a noisy alarm but because it is the divine
right time. And when you open your eyes into Reality the brilliant
warmth and joy of that moment will be utterly spellbinding.

As the moments before you awaken rush by, release all your doubts and
open your hearts in eager anticipation, because the experience — the
actual feeling of the intensity of God’s love for you at the instant
of awakening — will be beyond anything you can imagine.

ASCENSION IS NOT A CONTEST. It is a personal journey and a collective
one that at least a portion of humanity is undergoing currently. It is
a process and will continue, even when you break through to the other
side and into the fifth dimension. When you arrive there, you may come
to a decision to rest, but sooner than later you will begin once more
to move ahead on the path, through service, through learning, through

alcoholism, prostitution, violence, killing, murder, slaughter,
conflict, ungodliness, blasphemy, violation, profanity, transgression,
adulteration, deviation, and disrespect.

For a moment I would not doubt the Divine Law. God does not reveal his
plans to us as we are not his most trusted prophets on earth rather we
are the fatalities chained by the Evil sovereign. However the ruling
class will all be slain by the sword of Truth and slowly bleed to a
spiritual death, unable to present proof that they are the gatekeepers
to the paradise. They will be the lone ones who will be discarded in
this century. Yet they will continue with falsehood and lead the
Armies of destruction. These fake preachers will continue their
profitable skill of harvesting souls, promising to ship their
religious fanatics to their option plan in dreamland. During the
restoration world will be stained with the spiritual death of hundreds
of millions who will deny revealed Truth. An accomplishment unmatched
in religious history, will begin the annihilation of all holy temples,
the Idols of Worship — churches, mosques, synagogues, temples, shrines
and gurdwaras.

"Beneath the earth of the holy Lady the faint voice heard,
Human flame seen to shine as divine:
It will cause the earth to be stained with the blood of the lone ones (monks),
And to destroy the holy temples for the impure ones. - Century 4:24

Within the most elementary aspect of the planet which is affected by
the presence of religious conviction, a holy feminine presence will be
heard as a gentle but important voice.
This very individual flame will be seen to shine in divine light.
Its presence will cause the world and all who live in it to be altered
in a fundamental way which will include the death of the supremacy of
male religious authority.

Nostradamus predicts that something is going to annihilate all
religious regimes because as long as they exist they will never free
their captives. This prophesies downfall of all religious regimes will
take place by first exposing them devoid of rescue! Those children
born in this Millennium of Light will flee from them like bats out of

An action born out of faith. A faith in the deep force of life and
unconditional love. This is the path of heart that a Spiritual Warrior
takes. Spiritual warriors don’t get paralyzed in the fear and doubt of
hoping against hope. A warrior acts in this committed way, even when
challenged. The commitment is required because in our journey we will
certainly fumble and fall many times. It is in having a strong pledge
that we get back up again. It is common to fall to result. Jesus
Christ the greatest Warrior had the courage, discipline, and openness
to Love unconditionally even as he was being rejected and physically
persecuted during his days. Even when his body was in physical pain,
the only emotions he created and expressed were of love and
compassion. He did not use a reason in his mind to hate or judge. This
is extraordinary impeccability.

It can be easy to love some people that like us or treat us well.
However, it requires a incredible commitment to love in the face of
those that reject us. This commitment will cause us to challenge our
beliefs about our judgments and not being compassionate. We must be
committed to love beyond our own self-serving welfare of what it will
bring us. This is how we will become happy beyond our current pattern
of beliefs. This becomes our commitment. If Jesus Christ could love in
his challenges, then we can learn to love unconditionally in our
challenges.

The other greatest warrior who unconditionally challenged his beliefs
was Gautama Buddha, who lived between 563 and 483 BC. At 29 Prince
Siddhartha Gautama left all the worldly pleasures to attain the
reality of life, and became the enlightened one. It was a state in
which the Buddha gained an insight into the deepest workings of life
and therefore into the cause of human suffering, the problem that had
set Him on his spiritual quest in the first place. A decision taken by
him never to turn and look back at the luxuries even in the most
difficult times is by itself the greatest victory as a warrior.

By challenging our own beliefs we can dissolve the lies that cause our
suffering. To challenge our own beliefs requires courage because it
means the end of our illusion of safety. When other people challenge
our own beliefs we are usually quick to defend. We defend them even if
they cause us to suffer. As a warrior we learn not to defend what we
believe, and then to challenge those very beliefs ourselves. In this
way we are able to sort out the truth from illusions.

As agreed by all the religious prophecies, the Awaited One will not be a man of peace like Jesus Christ or Buddha, but a man of war who will destroy evil and establish righteousness on the earth.

The question that you now face is what does this mean to you. Can these worldwide correlations be mere coincidence? Can this be all just superstition and legends of the ancients?

The Way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed thy Grace, those whose portion is not wrath, and who go not astray... (Sura 1).

In these Seven verses of the opening Sura of the Holy Qur'an can the entire meaning of the Mystery of Islam be realized. It is understood (and can only be understood), in the fullest meaning of all that has gone before it...

For it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee (Exodus 34:10).

...and in the light of all that is unfolding and coming to pass here at the end of the age, and particularly here at the Western ends of the earth:

When the heaven is rent asunder

And hearkens to (the Command of) it’s Lord and it must.

And when the earth is stretched out (from East to West),

And casts forth what is in it and becomes empty (of its mysteries),

And hearkens to (the Command of) it’s Lord and it must; (then will come home the full reality)... (Sura 84.1-5)

Sufism

A way and a means of striking a root through the Narrow Gate in the depths of the Soul out into the domain of the pure and unimprisonable Spirit which itself opens out on to the Divinity. To follow the Path of the Mystics is to acquire as it were an extra dimension, for this path is nothing other than the dimension of Depth. Islam began as a religion but Muslims must investigate deep, and look beyond the literal meaning , to discover the doctrine that is hidden in the Quran-an. It is only there for those who seek for it.

The middle Ages have passed, and this age is coming swiftly to its own conclusion. A new day is dawning upon the earth.

They may leap from one state of consciousness, and back again--from the Islamic world to the Christian world to the Jewish world to the Vedic world, indeed, back to the very root of this ancient mystery of the Tree of Life--. They may leap from the lower world to the higher worlds and from the outer world to the inner--from outer, literal forms to the deep, inner principles that guide the Universe--the very principles that both restrain and inform the mind of Islam at the same time....

What was God's purpose in saying one thing to the Christians and hiding the same from the Muslims? What is the nature of the Islamic religion?

We only have to look into the world to see it. The Tree is known by its own fruits.

God has subjugated these aspects of the mind in a great historic way. In fact the operation is built into the fabric the Holy Qur'an itself. It was all very intentional. How else could God judge the world? How else could God have finally created Man in Their own Universal image? Possessing, as God does, a full understanding of the nature of both Light and Darkness, of the only ways in which the world could learn the difference, and the only ways in which their own could ultimately learn to see these things in themselves?

The great spiritual fact is that there is only one true religion in the world, the religion of LOVE. Love is the fulfilling of the Law. Some are coming to it as Muslims, some as Christians, some as Jews, some as Hindus, others are already there. And there is also only ONE reality.

Who are the disbelievers?

They are chiefly the religious and political leaders of our time, the leaders of those Indo-Judeao-Christian-Islamic nations who have, as the Scriptures related, Payed no attention to the hidden meaning of what is actually taking place. And then they are all who follow them, and who partake with them in the ringing clash and in the Unfruitful Works of Darkness, despite all the commandments in the Scriptures not to do so.

Thus the Mystery of wickedness is being fulfilled in the great world at large. For just as each tradition in itself is capable of elevating the souls of the children of Light, bringing them forth to the Greater Light, each is also capable (as all the world can plainly see) of keeping the minds of the children of Darkness in total Darkness, and bringing them instead to the day of war and destruction:

If one is to understand the Tree of Life how what the New Testament refers to as the Great House (2 Timothy 2:20), and what the Qur'an cryptically refers to as the Sacred Mosque (Sura 17.1; Sura 2.191), the Grail Legends refer to as the Grail Castle, they are one and the same, built out of the same "building blocks of enlightenment" as the Buddhist teachers call them.

It is into this same structure that God framed the mystery and the mind. Among those things hidden from the imperfect state of mind, in addition to the meaning of realization that in the guardianship of the Divine Mother (Holy Wisdom Herself) all these centuries, and the Feminine Principle of Reality Reflect a particular idealization and service to the divine, supernatural, the exquisiteness, and the power of womankind . The Supreme seeks not to suppress her, however, or to rule over her, but to find her and to liberate her from her captors.

Many true Muslims, along with many "non-religious" over the centuries who have tried to transcend such literal meanings and to release the Divine Feminine from her lower status, and from her house of prison, have payed dearly for their attempts. Now, this God created man to rule the world, and appointed for him Two Spirits after whose direction he was to walk until the final inquisition. They are the spirits of Truth and Perversity.

The origin of Truth lies in the Fountain of Light (in the Higher Spiritual state of mind), and that of Perversity in the Wellspring of Darkness (the Natural Impulse). All who practice righteousness are under the dominion of the prince of Lights, and walk in the ways of Light;

Whereas all who practice perversity are under the dominion of the Angel of Darkness.

Through the Angel of Darkness, however, even those who practice righteousness are made liable to error. All their sins and iniquities, all their guilt and their deeds of transgression are the result of his dominion. And this, by God's inscrutible design, will continue until the time appointed by Him. Moreover, all men's afflictions and all their moments of tribulation are due to this being's malevolent sway. All the spirits that attend upon him are bent on causing the children of Light to stumble. Howbeit, the God of Israel and the Angel of His Truth are always there to help them.

It is God who created these spirits of Light and Darkness (see Genesis 1:16), and made them the basis of every act, the instigators of every deed, and the directors of every thought...

This is why these spirits operate in the world. The enlightenment of man's heart, the making straight before him all the ways of righteousness and truth, the implanting in his heart of fear for the judgment of God, of a spirit of humility, of patience, of abundant compassion, of perpetual goodness, of insight, of perception, of that sense of the Divine Power that is based at once on an apprehension of God's works, and a reliance on His plenteous Mercy, of a spirit of knowledge informing every plan of action, of a zeal for righteous government, of a hallowed mind in a controlled nature, of an abounding love for all who follow the truth, of a self-respecting purity which abhors the taint of filth (in one's self), these are the things in the world that come to those in the world who are in communion with the Spirit of Truth.

All of these things have been ordained--the Light, the Darkness, the Festivals and Observances, the rituals and reality of Death and Resurrection--so that the Great Cosmic Circle of Divine Revelation might be completed, that it might come to its conclusion and that it might begin again on the next higher plane of human consciousness.

All of these things have been instituted in the interest of continuity, so that the beginning of the creation process did not get disconnected from its effects, so that the mind of Light (Life) might be manifest and at last delivered from the mind of Darkness (Death) in the last day. (Genesis 1:14-18).

But principally, so that God (Him and Herself, in consort with Creation itself), might be revealed in the Whole. (For that is the whole duty of each soul born into the Light, to know God).

They are not only ONE with each other (we cannot comprehend the ONE without also comprehending TWO), but together they are both the Destroyers of worlds and the Creator of worlds.

Allah destroys, in the very interest of Creation Herself.

The Lord brings to oblivion all that is unjust and grown out of balance--thus everything that is not conformed to their own Image in the Universe. They had, of course, to let everything come to fruition as it has, the Darkness out of which Light emerges (the chaos out of which order emerges), for very essential cosmic and psychological reasons, while, in Their Wisdom and Mercy, providing every means of deliverance from the destructions themselves. These means are awakening, repentance, and transformation.

One recent study has suggested that God actually suffers from severe bi-polar disorder. Anthony DeLuca, in his Freud and Future Religious Experience, comes to a somewhat different, wholly materialistic, humanistic conclusion when he refers to "the God man has made." "As the person matures," he says, "our sense of the wholly other matures"...

Of course we can see now what the Divine Mother was hiding from all of them throughout these times--the very whereabouts of the Holy City itself: My Secret Place as the prophet said (Ezekiel 7:22), and the very same which all ungodly men have been treading under foot all these centuries. (Revelation 11:2).

Why the Amendment before the end of a Era

The whole creative process had to come to the very conclusion that it has, before they (They are ONE) could release the human spirit into the age-to-come and the world-to-come. We would not carry all of our natural, fallen ways in there with us.

From the blazing Light of Creation, from this same state of Darkness came the Light. Leading to an outer dimensions stage by stage, realization by realization, from the outer illusions to the inner realities, and then outward again into the broad spiritual expanse of all that is truly magical and Divine. They lead from the wasteland of our present state of mind into the Promise of the next.

Israel, a nation, who because of unbelief was not able to receive the
promises of God, because they lacked faith. Only when they believed,
could they enter, but the faithless generation was kept out. In the
same way today, many “born-again saints” fail to receive the blessings
promised because of disbelief. We do not believe God is strong
enough, to overcome the strongholds in our life.

Before Israel was to enter the Promised Land, Moses had the nation of
Israel send out 12 spies, into the land to see what the cities were
like. The twelve spies reported what they saw; the land was too strong
to take, cites were fortified (Strongholds) and large, inhabitants
were giants. You could almost see the struggle, the faithful minority
versus the faithless majority. The people were so beaten and fickle
in God’s ability they would have stoned Moses, if the God did not
arbitrate. God would have destroyed the faithless generation, but
Moses interceded. God instead allowed the generation of faithless
Israel to wander the deserts of Sinai and die there. We must
remember, this rebellion follows the miracles of Israel’s freedom from
Egypt, and their seeing God’s existence leading them in a cloud by day
and a pillar of fire at night.

Israel’s plight illustrates a point, when we reject God’s promises
because of unbelief; we end up drifting in a wilderness, because we
refuse to take God at His word. This is the reason we need to put on
the complete armor of God. Thus waging war in the spiritual realms
illustrates events in the material. Ancient part of history, putting
walls around your settlement was a common occurrence throughout the
earth, as humanity spread. The importance of the walled city
diminished as technology became more invasive. These grips can be
called as the stronghold points, which are hard to defeat. This
picture of the physical stronghold is used to represent the spiritual
stronghold. Spiritual strongholds are represented in the same way as
physical ones. They are points of operation, where attacks are waged
on remote areas. They become points of disgusting operations, which
are hard to remove, unless intensive effort is made to remove them.

This is exactly what does it mean to wage a war in the spiritual
realms? This might be a hard concept for some to understand. First
waging war is a spiritually mature undertaking, only by understanding
the deeper aspects, learns about the battle raging all around. Only
those who pursue the deeper doctrines of scripture can expect to
really understand and be engaged in the Spiritual War. Secondly,
waging war requires someone to recognize the signs and our position;
we have to be prepared to take His declaration and act. We have to be
willing to clear the stronghold and traps in our way. Satan’s goal is
to prevent the believer from winning in the war against his realm.
Therefore, to reach the point of waging war require someone who
pursues vision, someone who is prepared act on their authority and
position.

Here we stand in the midst of a fallen world, while the spiritual
battle rages all around over the souls of humanity, as Satan works to
keep lost humanity from finding rescue, blinding those who are
freezing, prevent the saints from reinstating the realm of god
through a catalog of weapons and tactics. The reality of spiritual
warfare can be a shock. But if you see the books of all religion it
has primed us to anticipate the war and the attacks. This is the
understanding of the present Kali Yug or the end of a era. The
spiritual war is been on for some time now and each of us can be a
part of it as mentioned in my previous articles of this month
