This is the Dutch artist JW Roy at the last day of the Cult & Tumult festival 2008. A little cropping and the levels have been adjusted a little.
I like the expression on his face and the contrast with the lights.

This panoramic view has been composed out of 8 different shots, taken at the top of a mountain. We stopped here for lunch during our jeepsafari. Nice place to lunch, don't you think... ;)

It was a long shot.... I used my point-and-click camera to try and make a decent night shot. It didn't work too well, but I'm not at all dissatisfied with how it turned out.

This monkey toddler was playing around in a puddle. He was moving sand around, as his eye fell on the stick. This picture almost makes we wonder what he's about to do next...

Picture was cropped, curve has been adjusted, and I upped the saturation a little.

There's a lot of building going on around here. That makes for some cool views sometimes.... This one was taken a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking about cropping the clouds at the bottom, but I'm not quite sure if I should. What do you guys think?

This is a quick snapshot I took when I was walking around my neighbourhood with my camera. Although there are some negative things about it, I like the composition. I get the feeling I'm drawn into the image because of the converging lines. The way I see it:

Negative points:
- Sun on the right breaks the strength of the image
- Building all the way on the end
- Reflection on the first door on the left is distracting
- The lamp in the front on the left

Positive points:
- Nice composition, the center draws you in
- The doors not being directly opposite of each other gives depth
- Crisp sky, big contrast with brown walls

I haven't tried editing this image yet. Maybe I'll try in the fututre. If I do, I'll get back on it...

So, after some relaxing at home and a very cool holiday in Spain, I'm about to go to work again next monday. And with that, I'll be picking up all my 'normal day' hobbies and stuff. So, I'll try and pick up blogging (and taking pictures) again, just for you guys ;). Stay tuned ... !

More than two years ago I started my blog here. After a few months, I changed to bloggingabout.net, partially because it was sponsored by my employer. You can find my personal .NET blog over here. I will use this space to blog about my new hobby: photography. I recently got a Canon EOS 400D, and already owned a tripod (look at the picture). So I'm ready to go!
