Para USA no more ?

Canadian gun company Para USA has been bought by Freedom Group Inc. FGI made the move that futher broadens their portfolio. They aleady own several gun realted companies like Remington,EOTech,Barnes bullets,Bushmaster,DPS Panther and many more.

Para has made some very nice contributions to the 1911 platform over the years lighter trigger pull and double stack magazines to name a few. Their compact Warthog 1911 is also very popular among those who conceal carry.

I see this only as a positive for Para fans as FGI is a very reputable company.

Sig Sauer P938

Sig has followed the trend of the other pocket .380 pistol makers and made a version of their .380 pistol in 9mm.

The first company that did this was Taurus that I noticed at least. They had the TCP in .380 and had the Slim in 9mm. Ruger the king of the pocket slayers came out with Ruger LCP in
380 then they came out with the LC9 in 9mm. Diamondback had their .380 as well then later came out with DB9.

So Sig Sauer is just doing the common sense business move to offer Sig customers similar options as the competitor is doing, enter the Sig Sauer P938.

The Sig Sauer P938 packs 6 rounds of 9mm in a nice compact almost pocket like gun. Just like the P238 the P938 comes with all the bells and whistles in terms of options night sights,different grip designs etc.

M31 Suomi rifle in 9mm

Assembled in the usa by TNW with new and original surplus parts this is a replica of the original Swedish russian slayer from World war II. The M31 Suomi definately one those cool guns you must have if you like WWII firearms like me.

It has a 16.5" barrel with a nice parkerized finish. Comes with a nice wood stock as well,sling and one 36 round detachable box magazine.

There is also a 71 round drum magazine available for those wanting to rain 9mm bullets on the zombies.

Kel Tec PMR 30 vs FN 57 Pistol

This video is a really cool comparison and test of the Kel Tec PMR 30 vs FN 57 pistol. There is first a physical comparison between the two pistols and then a speed test where both weapons are fired into a crono to test the speed of each bullet.

Like Y2K companies every where are trying to cash in on the 2012 end of the world craze. To think that this year will be the end of the world. Very sad.

Uh yea right. Only the good lord knows when he will come back to claim his world. For now I will keep praising him and busting my guns.

Never the less some of this stuff is just plain fun or funny.

There is a company now that makes bleeding zombie targets and a very reputable ammunition manufacturer has joined in the fun too producing zombie ammunition.

Chiappa Rhino now in .40 S&W

Yes it's true the ugly little revolver has now become available in .40 S&W ! This is by far one of my favorite rounds and may actually cause me to look into buying one of this puppies now. I first blogged about this gun back in June of 2010 you can read the original post here.

You can get more information on Chiappa's site. The gun is designed mainly to reduce recoil and be thinner than your average revolver. There are two videos on the snubnose version it's in .357 but it shows you what the snubnose version looks like.

Is it just me or do my gamers think this gun looks like the revolver in Kill Zone 3 or Rage ?

Miguel Caballero has made a line of bullet proof clothing which some of you might find pretty cool. The clothes are wooven from a Kevlar based material thin enough to make regular clothes. But tough enough to stop a bullet.

I think its really cool and very expensive too.

Rock island armory double stack 1911

Rock island armory is coming out with a double stack 1911.
I say they should fix the single stack shit 1911s they already make.
Why am i so harsh about their 1911s because they are shit. Made from inferior metal.
Just ask my friend Alex who bought one for CCW against my better judgement (i told him get a good polymer M&P,GLOCK ETC ).
That thing literally broke apart after about 200 rounds.
It's a new gun and this is a gun blog so i'll blog about it, but be warned.

Serpa holsters banned by FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER

Why ? After some digging here on Gun blog we found out that they (FLETC) have decided to stop using serpa holsters because a lot of negligent discharges during there training drills.

This is bad news for Blackhawk. I personally love my Serpa but hey guess its not for everyone.

The rest of the retail world has text based ads but not the gun world. Enter GDA. Gun Dealer Ads. A text based ad server much like adsense but targeted specifically to gun related ads.

I have a had them on my blog for some time now ( as a limited partner trial ) and I really like the way it works. The ads are smart ads that read the content of the page for keywords and display relevant ads based on whats in the network.

You can advertise on the GDA network for as low as $2 a week or $7 dollars a month. It's really easy to sign up for the ads and they accept payment via paypal.

Once your ad is reviewed and approved (only gun related ads will be approved) it will appear in the GDA network with in 24 hours. Gun Dealer Ads is a small ad network with only about a million page impressions a month.

But the ads work because they are relevant to guns and only display on gun sites.
