Gunners Forever

Players linked to Arsenal

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 21 Feb 2014 10:25:00 +0800

They may sound like a strange comedy duo, but Juan Cuadrado and Zakaria Bakkali could soon be plying their trade on the Emirates pitch if the recent transfer rumours hold any water. And they would both bring pace and wing play to an Arsenal side that has really struggled for it since losing Theo Walcott to injury.

18-year old Bakkali is more of an out-and-out attacking player, usually on the wing but sometimes as a second striker for his current club PSV Eindhoven and various levels of the Belgium national team. According to Metro , PSV have comfirmed strong interest from Arsenal and are expecting a bid for their young star in the summer. The talented forward has scored three league goals this season, all in one game, which makes him the youngest player to get a hat-trick in the Dutch top division.

25-year old Cuadrado also has an eye for goal, recently scoring a long range belter and a goal which helped his current club Fiorentina to reach the Italian cup final. However, Cuadrado is a hugely versatile player who often plays at right back but can also play in midfield or on the wing. A Colombian international with great pace, technical ability and an eye for goal, he sounds great for Arsenal.

Metro reports that the two clubs that jointly hold his contract cannot agree and so are open to an offer of around £15 million which they would split. Arsenal are believed to be prepared to do the deal, although I wonder if it depends on whether Bacary Sagna stays with the Gunners or not.

Arsenal transfer rumours

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 18 Feb 2014 11:29:00 +0800

Schalke have confirmed that they knocked back an approach for Julian Draxler from Arsenal last month and say they remain confident of holding onto their starlet this summer.

Draxler, 20, was Arsene Wenger’s leading target during the January transfer window but it is believed Arsenal failed to meet his €45 million (£37m) buyout clause, which Schalke were said to be willing to accept even though it is only active during the summer. Schalke coach Jens Keller recently conceded that the presence of the clause means he remains uncertain about the Germany international’s future. Their general manager Horst Heldt, however, remains more optimistic.

“Arsenal officially enquired about the services of Julian Draxler during the recent transfer window,” he told Sport1 Media. “We did not want him to leave. Of course, it was big money on offer, but still it was not enough for us.

"I am convinced Julian will be playing at Schalke past the end of the season. We are able to offer him enough ambition."

It is likely that should Arsenal be inclined to move for Draxler again this summer they will still be faced with meeting the same clause. There is also the possibility that, with the chance of him impressing at the World Cup, there could be fierce competition for his signature. Wenger was believed to be intending to convert Draxler into a striker and, whether or not it is the Schalke man, Arsenal’s boss will surely look to bolster his forward ranks at the end of the season. In the past Arsenal have been linked with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema and Marca has suggested that the Gunners would still be interested should the France international exit the Bernabeu.

Benzema’s contract expires in the summer of 2015, yet the Spanish sports daily reports that, after some rocky times, there is now a willingness from both parties to extend his deal. French publication Le Figaro claims that it is all systems go regarding Arsenal’s reported interest in another striker, Milan’s Mario Balotelli. Rumors of a possible return to England for the former Manchester City man have emerged in recent weeks, apparently started by Arsenal’s inking of a kit deal with Puma, who also work with the Italy international.

Reports in Italy even suggested that Wenger had met with Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola recently, with rumors of the striker’s unhappiness in Milan exacerbated by his tears on the bench after being substituted against Napoli earlier this month. Milan are enduring a woeful season and will almost certainly miss out on Champions League qualification for next season. It remains doubtful, however, whether Wenger will be enthusiastic about managing Balotelli’s sometimes difficult personality. In other news, The Sun has claimed that Wenger has identified Southampton’s Morgan Schneiderlin as the long-term replacement for Mikel Arteta. The Spaniard’s contract will expire at the end of next season, by which time he will be 33. Schneiderlin, 24, has impressed at the base of Southampton’s midfield since coming up to the Premier League with the south coast club last season.

Van Persie? Is that the only striker for Arsenal?

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 17 Feb 2014 12:01:00 +0800

Recently there were rumors stating that RVP will be wearing the Arsenal jersey again? Is it going to happen or just rumors? He may be one of Arsenal's top scorer. Anyway, I thought he was a bit more age and he was in the end of his career.

Another reason is because he is a traitor. Celebrating a goal when Manchester United beat Arsenal 1-0 at the beginning of the end of the season is a complementary relationship between him and the fans of Arsenal. We can not forgive these people indiscriminately.

In my opinion, look for another striker who is more credible.

Finally revenge.

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 17 Feb 2014 10:04:00 +0800

Finally, Arsenal managed to take revenge on Liverpool in a 2-1 victory. Arsenal goal for Liverpool was not large but was able to remove Liverpool from the FA Cup. That was enough for Arsenal fans. We qualified for the quarter-finals and will meet Everton.

I can not watch the game last night but watch produced by Oxlade goals and Podolski. A strong coupling. However, a friend told the Sanogo playing pretty good and pretty good ball possession by Arsenal.

Arsenal now have to focus on the match against Bayern Munich to determine the place in the Champion League. Arsenal hope to remain focused and consistent for the remainder of the next match.

Arsenal lose momentum

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 13 Feb 2014 08:30:00 +0800

Another disappointing morning for Arsenal fans where Arsenal drew 0-0 with Manchester United. Tournaments are clearly dominated by Arsenal though opponents have produced a number of attempts that can be blocked by the Arsenal goalkeeper. Arsenal are now 56 points behind Chelsea and will likely be bypassed if Manchester City won their matches.

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are getting closer to Arsenal with Arsenal only have the advantage of 3 points and 6 points for the Spurs. What went wrong? We need to win the next matches. However, I think Arsenal can not win the league this season. Only a miracle can only allow them to win the league this season.

Arsenal need to bring a striker as i can see a few assist where Giroud could not finish. They need a world class striker.

Hugo Lloris would be interested in joining Arsenal

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 11 Feb 2014 15:20:00 +0800

Olivier Giroud has claimed Tottenham captain Hugo Lloris would be interested in joining Arsenal.

The Spurs keeper will seek to leave White Hart Lane in the summer if Tim Sherwood’s side do not qualify for the Champions League.

And his fellow France international suggested he would be open to a move across north London.

“We go out together and talk about everything,” Giroud told French TV. “We talk about life and sometimes the French team a bit and our wish to have a great experience together at the World Cup.

“Have I asked him to join Arsenal? Yes, I have with Lolo (Laurent Koscielny). He would have liked to, he would quite like to. You will have to ask him the question.”

The Arsenal centre-forward also said France can win the World Cup in Brazil. “We can go all the way,” he claimed. “That means we are going there to bring the trophy back. Try to reach the moon and at worst you will reach the stars.”

Lifeless! That can be said.

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 10 Feb 2014 10:58:00 +0800

Shame! That's all that can be said about the match last Saturday. 5-1 with 4 goals in the first half. Awful! It's worse. All wrong. The gamble wrong from the beginning when players are not supposed to lose. Central does not work well and played the ball easily. Left and right porous.

What went wrong? Tactical nothing. The pattern of the game remains the same. Luckily we still have our fans. Bark up! Please focus on the next game against Manchester United. Arsenal must win and get 3 points.

Coach need to do something to brain wash the players.

Tight schedule in February for Arsenal

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Fri, 7 Feb 2014 16:29:00 +0800

Arsenal have a very tight schedule during this February. Tomorrow is the match against Liverpool at Anfield. Wednesday they will receive the visit of Manchester United at the Emirates. February 16th they will face Liverpool for the FA Cup. 19th February is the Champions League match against Bayern Munich and will travel to Sunderland on 22 February.

A very tight schedule with a relatively strong opponents. Can Arsenal win the whole with the average main players injured? Arsenal need to win them all if they want to win at least one trophy. Can Arsenal do that?

We expect them to continue to be consistent and win the remaining games available.

Liverpool did not beat Arsenal at home since 2008

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 4 Feb 2014 11:15:00 +0800

Chelsea beat Manchester City 1-0. Arsenal are at the top of the table to two points. Arsenal have won the match against Liverpool this week. Liverpool have not beaten Arsenal at home since 2008. However, their performance is quite good this season with a lot of goal difference.

They lost to Arsenal 2-0 at the beginning of the season. They certainly want to win because they lack recent points. Certainly a very tough match.

Arsenal hope to win this match to continue to collect 3 points.

Is it Arsenal fans still need him?

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 3 Feb 2014 15:27:00 +0800

Arsenal have been linked with a shock move to bring Robin van Persie back to north London this summer.

The Dutchman inspired Manchester United to the Premier League title in his first season at Old Trafford, after Arsene Wenger sold him to their fierce rivals for £24million in 2012.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Wenger is now keen to bring Van Persie back to the Emirates with the player himself apparently open to the move.

It has been widely reported that the 30-year-old forward has grown frustrated at Old Trafford this season, with an increasingly uneasy relationship with new manager David Moyes.

And it is claimed the United boss could be willing to off-load Van Persie this summer as long as fellow striker Wayne Rooney commits his long-term future to the club.

Wenger doesn’t usually like to buy aging players but would make an exception for Van Persie who could be available for around £15million.

#I'm not sure if you guys can simply forgot the way he celebrate the goal against Arsenal early this season. But not for me.

Keep the momentum

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Mon, 3 Feb 2014 15:21:00 +0800

Relatively good results early in the morning with Arsenal beat Crystal Palace 2-0. The combination of a relatively strong player down even clear the first half Arsenal dominated the game but failed to produce a goal. More like a game of futsal match where the attacker needs to produce a goal in the penalty box .
Is this a game of football that should be applied by Arsenal? Is favored by fans or goal of any Arsenal player? The second half we could see the game change when Thomas Rosicky included. Passing the ball striking can be done by the Arsenal midfield and the goal was made possible by Oxlade Chamberlain . He scored again on 73 minutes .
I think what is demanded by Arsene Wenger his players capable of scoring . This is prove when Oxlade proven he can undertake the task as Defensive midfielder and scoring . However, his performance is quite volatile. Arsenal need players who are quite consistent to finish the league season.
This is because Arsenal started quite bad and until now in the top 4 groups and were in second place at this time. If this momentum is maintained is possible Arsenal could be champions this season.

Time getting closer

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 30 Jan 2014 11:00:00 +0800

Getting close to the transfer window closes. Arsenal have been doing the bidding of £ 36 million pounds for Julian Draxler . Reported Arsenal also alarmingly close to picking Cristian Tello in place of the injured Theo Walcott . Are Barcelona will let players who can score goals like him? Another Mission impossible for Arsenal.
With the list of injured midfielder Ramsey , Wilshere and Flamini suspended 4 games. Is Ozil , Oxlade , Rosicky , Arteta Gnabry and they can undertake the task? Ozil, Sagna, Cazorla or Gibbs / Monreal seems like a pretty consistent player commits pass to Giroud or Podolski . But is it our Striker perform well? Or do we still require a new striker to coming?
Monreal bit spotty this season and I would prefer if Gibbs is revealed in the first half and Monreal in as early as 60 or 70 minutes . Arsenal should not rely on one striker at the moment. Giroud must be coupled with Podolski . Arteta and Rosicky have combined to help the midfield doing hurdles and delivery is needed .
I hope the new players will join Arsenal in the January transfer window . We missed a point with Manchester City now. Time to be consistent if Arsenal want to win a trophy on this season.

Arsenal need to be more consistent

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 29 Jan 2014 08:47:00 +0800

2-2. A somewhat less encouraging results for Arsenal. The game pretty badly by Arsenal. Midfield less attack and more attack by the opponent. Arteta and Flamini can not play together. I think this must be coupled with Arteta Oxlade Chamberlain as Wilshere sidelined.

Podolski should be included early and Rosicky should play for the heart attack help Ozil and Cazorla. Arsenal now have to be prepared to be intercepted by Manchester City and Chelsea. With two days left of the transfer window door. I think Wenger still need to bring in at least one attacking midfielder and a striker.

Even then if Arsenal want to win the league this season.

Arsenal will met Liverpool in 5th round FA Cup

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 28 Jan 2014 12:22:00 +0800

Arsenal will meet Liverpool in the FA Cup 5th round. The tournament will take place on Merseyside. Certainly a very tough match. With a record of meeting Arsenal beat Liverpool in the early season can not be calculated. This is because Liverpool are fairly consistent in recent years.

Arsenal need down the line if they want to beat terkuar Liverpool. However, I think Arsenal can repeat it again. This is based on the record during Arsenal's quite brilliant and if they continue their excellence. Not impossible Arsenal will win again.

Arsenal signs Puma kits for five year

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 28 Jan 2014 12:16:00 +0800

Premier League leader Arsenal FC has announced it is changing kit maker to Puma from Nike, after two decades with the US sportswear giant. The German firm Puma has not revealed the exact value of the five-year deal, but it is worth more than £30m a year. The cash will boost Arsenal in the transfer market, with the current winter window closing on Friday. The north London team last changed manufacturer in 1994, to Nike from Adidas. Before that it used Umbro kit. Puma will officially become the kit supplier from 1 July. Until then, no official kit designs will be released.

'Commercial opportunity'

Currently, Cardiff City and Newcastle United are the only Premier League clubs to have their kit made by Puma, so the Arsenal deal is a coup for its new chief executive Bjoern Gulden. The German firm will also make other Arsenal-branded merchandise for sale to Gunners' fans around the world. Puma said the deal was the biggest ever, for both itself and the football club. It also supplies kit to German giants Borussia Dortmund and national teams including Italy, and said it wanted to establish itself as the third major football brand behind Adidas and Nike

"Arsenal represents a major commercial and marketing opportunity to reinforce Puma's credibility as a global sports brand," Mr Gulden said in a statement.

The company's biggest name athlete is Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt.

In September the multiple Olympic sprint champion renewed his sponsorship deal until after the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.

Rodrigo linked to Arsenal

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 23 Jan 2014 11:01:00 +0800

Premier League leaders Arsenal are favourites to land Spanish striker Rodrigo from Benfica in this transfer window. Valencia as well as Zenit Saint Petersburg are also interested in acquiring the services of the 22-year-old, per reports in Portugal. Zenit and Benfica have initially agreed on a purchase price worth £25million, only to see the deal collapse as the Brazil-born forward failed to reach mutually acceptable terms with the Russian club.

However, the Gunners and the mentioned La Liga club are not keen on making a permanent move for the player. At this juncture, the north Londoners are looking to snatch up a decent reinforcement for their injury stricken attacking-third that would bolster their chances of winning the Premier League.

Rodrigo has scored seven goals in fourteen league appearances for Benfica, but the ultimate question is: Are they willing to lend their goalscorer for the remainder of the season or not?

Arsene Wenger at Spain eyeing Sergi Roberto

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 23 Jan 2014 09:03:00 +0800

Arsenal are eyeing up a deal for Barcelona ace Sergi Roberto after Arsene Wenger watched him in action during the Copa Del Rey clash with Levante. Wenger was spotted at Heathrow airport by Gunners fans earlier in the day, apparently on the way to watch one of his top transfer targets.

And after he was photographed in the stands during Barca’s cup game with Levante, reports in Spain claim he was there to watch highly-rated Roberto. The midfielder, who is a graduate of Barca’s famed youth system, has found first-team chances limited in recent seasons. A cultured and stylish midfield dynamo with an excellent passing range, he fits the bill of a classic Wenger player, and the Frenchman appeared to be impressed during the match.

The 21-year-old is valued at around £6million and he has made no secret of the fact he would quit Barca if he was guaranteed first-team football.

Arsenal ready to bid for Cristian Telo

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 16 Jan 2014 15:35:00 +0800

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking at bringing in at least one forward this month after Theo Walcott was ruled out for at least six months after rupturing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee, and Tello has been linked with the Gunners for some time. Reports earlier this month suggested Liverpool were close to agreeing a deal to sign Tello, who has also been linked with the Merseysiders for several months, but according to Tuttomercatoweb, Wenger is now weighing up a move for the 22-year-old, who turned down a move to Anfield last summer.Tello turned down a move to the Premier League at the start of the season, instead opting to battle for a place in Gerardo Martino's starting line-up this season.

However, Tello has found his opportunities limited under Martino, and reports in Spain last week suggested that a loan deal could be on the cards this month. Speaking last week, Wenger has admitted that Walcott's knee injury had "accelerated" the club's plans in the January transfer window.

"[Walcott’s injury] has accelerated speculation first and of course my desire as well - but let's not forget about Serge Gnabry who can play in the first team," he told the club's official website.

"We have Oxlade-Chamberlain back and we have many other players who can play on the flanks so to find better solutions than what we have internally will not be easy.

"Up front we lose Theo as a potential central forward and that's maybe where we have to look outside. But we hopefully have Bendtner back in three weeks.

"We are there for the opportunities but it's very difficult at the moment."

Eduardo return to Arsenal?

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 8 Jan 2014 15:07:00 +0800

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger could be tempted to make a move for former striker Eduardo da Silva as his striker crisis worsens this season, according to Sports Direct News. With Theo Walcott being ruled out for up to six months and respective ankle injuries keeping

Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner on the sidelines, recently fit-again Lukas Podolski has

been left as the side’s only fit striker.

The 30-year-old saw the majority of his time at the Emirates ruined by a broken leg, but he has been in good form for Shakhtar since joining them back in 2010 but is now nearing the end of his contract.

Who will play in Arsenal?

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Wed, 8 Jan 2014 10:34:00 +0800

January transfer window is now open and we are still waiting. Who is the player that will be brought to the Emirates by Arsene Wenger . Lewandoski was out of the list when Wenger agreed to sign a contract with Bayern Munich for 5 years.

Who is the most suitable candidate who can fill in as Arsenal 's top scorer ? There Rumours say Wenger will buy Diego Costa , Julian Draxler , Alvaro Morata and Jackson Martinez .

In my opinion , Diego Costa is the most suitable candidate based on his performance at Athletico Madrid . However , not sure whether he can adapt to the Premier League . This is because the game in the Premier League is fast and most of the players from La Liga is not able to adapt them here .

Regardless, I think Arsene Wenger will surely surprise. This is because he has done it at the beginning of last season with the purchase of Ozil. Arsene needs to bring in at least one creative midfielder and also a world-class striker .

Good results end of 2013

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 31 Dec 2013 12:14:00 +0800

Victory for the end of 2013. Arsenal 1-0 Newcastle. Another relatively good results for Arsene Wenger. Beginning in 2014 began and Arsenal must win the remaining games available.

Are existing players managed to qualify Arsenal win the League this season? In my opinion, Arsenal need to add that creative Midfield, defense and attack. Obviously the absence of Ozil, to some extent impair the match.

The defense should be strengthened and sharpened the need to attack again. Only with one striker is still not enough for Arsenal to win the league.

Hopefully, Wenger will buy players in the January transfer Arsenal squad for added strength.

Angel Di Maria linked to Arsenal

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Tue, 24 Dec 2013 10:38:00 +0800

Having secured the club-record signing of Mesut Ozil in the summer, Arsenal have been linked to three further Real Madrid players heading into the January transfer window. Before eventually snapping up Ozil, it is widely believed that Arsene Wenger was also keen on taking Angel di Maria. While it was seen at the time that it was a case of either Ozil or Di Maria being allowed to leave the Bernabeu, following Gareth Bale’s arrival, there has been renewed speculation of late that the Argentine winger could still be on his way.

Arsenal have been one of the clubs cited with an interest, alongside, Monaco and Manchester United. However, the source of reports claiming that Di Maria is trying to force through his exit is a contentious issue, with suggestions that Madrid are planting stories to try and force the player’s hand. After scoring his second goal in two games, against Valencia on Sunday, Di Maria hit out at the persistent rumors.

“I do not want to go,” he said, told Spanish sports daily AS, according to ESPN. “I want to win my place in the team. Not me, nor anyone in my camp, has asked for a new contract. What came out was lies. I have been through some difficult days. I am just thinking about Real Madrid and I am still working hard. I have to keep going and try to earn a place in the team.”

Arsenal will get Kevin Holland

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 19 Dec 2013 08:40:00 +0800

With Arsenal still in shock after being hit for six by Manchester City on Saturday, the Daily Mirror reports that the Gunners are among five Premier League clubs chasing German wideman Kevin Volland. Valued at a cool £12m, the 21-year-old winger, currently galloping down the flanks for Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, is described by the Mirror as a "genuine talent". Volland is tied to Hoffenheim until 2017 but with a football contract about as secure as the Arsenal back four it's believed he could be on his way to England as early as next month.

As well as Arsenal on the tail of Volland, the Mirror claims that Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea and Manchester United are also eyeing up the left-footed magician. But the Mirror does throw the proverbial spanner in the works with a suggestion that Bayern Munich are also loitering with intent and could yet sneak in before any of England's fantastic five have the chance to make Hoffenheim an offer they can't refuse.

Arsenal hunt for Olympiakos striker

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 19 Dec 2013 08:27:00 +0800

For a while now, Arsenal have been strongly linked by another of Europe’s most in-form strikers, Kostas Mitroglou. The Olympiakos man has hit more than a goal a game in the Greek League, while he also struck a hat-trick in the Champions League against Anderlecht. The Daily Star claims that Arsenal will vie with Liverpool for a player they believe could be available for £7.5 million.

Olympiakos coach Michel has conceded that it will be difficult for the Greek champions to hold onto their star man.

“If he keeps on doing well, it will be hard to keep him,” he said, according to the Star. “We’ve known for some time that there has been interest from many clubs, but that’s only logical considering how well he has been doing lately.”

Diego Costa is on Arsenal striker list

noreply@blogger.com (Anonymous) — Thu, 19 Dec 2013 08:22:00 +0800

A major new name has been put forward to solve Arsenal’s lack of strength in depth up front, with the Gunners sending scouts to watch Atletico Madrid’s Diego Costa, according to reports on Wednesday. It is widely anticipated that Arsene Wenger will look to bring in a striker in the January transfer window to take the strain off of Olivier Giroud. Wenger has suggested of late that he may not need to enter the market for a forward with Nicklas Bendtner showing improved signs recently and Theo Walcott, Lukas Podolski and Yaya Sanogo either returned or due to return soon from injury. However, it would be taking a significant risk not to bring in another option, with none of that quartet inspiring confidence in their ability to lead the line for an extended period of time.

Both the Daily Mail and Goal.com now report that Arsenal will have scouts present to watch Costa in action twice in the coming days. Accelerating Arsenal’s interest is said to be their learning of the player’s reported buyout clause of around £30 million. Arsenal are unlikely to be the only club monitoring a player who has excelled this season to fire Atletico to a place level on points with Barcelona at the top of La Liga and top their group en route to the Champions League knockout phase. The 25-year-old has scored 17 goals in 15 La Liga matches as well as four in three outings in the Champions League. Costa has also been at the center of a tug of war at international level, as he has decided to represent Spain, rather than the country of his birth, Brazil.

The possibility that Costa will increase his value with a strong showing at next year’s World Cup is cited as one of the reasons why Atletico will be loathed to lose him in January. Ultimately, of course, if Arsenal meet his release clause, the decision will rest with the player. And there appears little reason why Costa would want to switch Atletico for the Emirates in the middle of such a successful season for his side. He would also be cup-tied for the Champions League were he to make the move.
