A government agency seeks a Director of Knowledge. This post provides an opportunity to head a new unit which will develop a knowledge capability in support of the aims and objectives of the organisation, whilst working in a high profile and fast moving subject area, with strong senior and ministerial level interest. The unit will be primarily responsible for the strategic objective to build and share knowledge about fraud.

The role will involve:
- obtaining a comprehensive picture of fraud losses across the private and public sector
- influencing stakeholders to extend the range of fraud estimates available, building on best-practice methodologies and techniques;
- gathering intelligence of fraud trends, typologies and methodologies and ensuring that they are shared appropriately
developing robust fraud information sharing gateways within the intelligence community, ensuring integration and coordination
- leading on the development of multi-agency co-ordination within the regulatory and law enforcement arena

The job holder will need to engage with and influence a wide range of academics, national and local government, as well as their agencies, quangos, private sector bodies, law enforcement, international parties and members of the intelligence community.

We are seeking an individual, capable of being security cleared to an appropriate level, who understands and appreciates the strategic importance of fraud measurement and has a strong grasp of the technical approaches and challenges of measuring fraud. They will also be able to persuade stakeholders to undertake fraud research and share intelligence. A strong candidate will be able to communicate complex and subtle information effectively to a wide and disparate audience without losing context or rigour.

You will need to be security cleared for this role, therefore you must be a British citizen you has resided in the UK for the last five years.

A government agency seeks a Head of Fraud Information Sharing. This role will directly contribute to the strategic aims of the organisation by delivering the outcomes and objectives on better information sharing. This will require a senior lawyer to develop and coordinate the capability of the counter fraud community to exchange information on fraud, fraudsters, the causes and consequences of fraud in order to better direct the national response.

We are seeking a Solicitor or a Barrister who: - understands and appreciates the strategic importance of information sharing and effective knowledge management;
- has a strong grasp of the technical and legal approaches and challenges of sharing fraud information (including intelligence based information) within and between all sectors of the economy, both public and private
- is able to influence stakeholders to change working practices for improved performance across government; and
- Can communicate results effectively to a wide audience without losing context or rigour.

A large part of the role will involve engaging with and influencing a wide range of external stakeholders including law enforcement agencies, regulators, national and local government, private sector bodies and international partners in order to establish and develop a clear understanding of:

- the legal and regulatory environment that directs or constrains the exchange of information between counter fraud stakeholders
- the technical and resourcing challenges faced by stakeholders;
- organisational priorities and practices within stakeholders.

� The post holder will engage in a number of self or team directed projects and activities: prioritised to challenge inertia; remove obstacles and identify solutions delivering effective information sharing.

� One of the key functions of the post will be to engage constructively with key stakeholders. �This will sometimes involve either meeting, or arranging events involving stakeholders and the post holder will, therefore, occasionally need to travel nationally and internationally and sometimes to work outside of normal office hours.

� The post holder will require current security clearance (or the ability to obtain and retain) up to Developed Vetting level, therefore you must be a British citizen you has resided in the UK for at least the last five years.
