The telephone is a wonderful invention. Since it was first introduced into the marketplace it has made a world of difference in many people's lives. The fact that the telephone can be used in an emergency situation is probably the most beneficial of all. The telephone has saved many lives over the years, and without a telephone it would be impossible for anyone to call the police, fire department or ambulance.
Since it was first invented, the telephone has gone through many of changes. The first telephone lines were run on towers that made a city or suburb look very unattractive. These days all of the cables are run underground. The first telephone was a very large rotary type device. Nowadays you can find telephones as small as the palm of your hand or even smaller - enter the cell phone.
It is Convenient
The first thing that people realized about the telephone is that it was a very easy means of communication. There was no longer the need to get on your horse with a letter and gallop down to the next street or state for that matter. You could simply pick up the receiver and dial a number to speak to the person on the other end. In the earlier days of the telephone, however, it was seen as a luxury. This meant that it was only installed in houses of people who could afford it, or who had extra money.
Today, the telephone is affordable to almost everyone, it is the lifeblood to our economy. Everyone knows that you cannot run a successful business without a telephone. This device is no longer a luxury, it is a means to an end, it is a way to make you more money and keep our economy thriving. It has also allowed us to create a new form of business - namely the Internet i.e. e-Commerce.
Telephone Equipment
The telephone has many different types of gadgets, features and accessories that go with it these days. If you are looking for even more convenience and uses for the telephone you will need to take a look at a few of these:
Caller Identity: Know who is calling with a new caller line identity device. It is a tool that you will hook up to your existing telephone or it is added by your telephone provider. The device is made up of a simple LCD digital screen that displays the number of the person calling you. This way, if you do not know the number, you do not need to answer.
Conference Speaker Phone: This is especially helpful in any business, whether it is small or large. If you find that you will be on calls where you need more than one person on the telephone, the speaker phone is for you.
Different Types of Telephones
You will find that there are many different types of telephones out on the market today. This includes both analog and digital models for the home line device, business phones, satellite phones and the cell phone. You will also find that the home line telephone comes in many wireless connections too, for security, ease, mobility, etc. Alexander Graham Bell never would have guessed that his invention would get this famous.
On the 30th October 1948, Mahatma Gandhi was shot in the chest by a man named Nathuram Godse. Even at a time when Gandhi was responsible for steering India into the light of independence there was a group of people who disagreed with him to the extent of fanaticism. Today if I am to stand before you and talk to you about Mahatma Gandhi, I feel the need to show, why exactly do we call the man a Mahatma. Once convinced only we all will be able to appreciate his ideas and thoughts to the fullest.
Mahatma Gandhi set foot in India at a time when British domination was at its peak. He resolved to drive the British outside India, when he witnessed that the Britishers treated themselves above the law of their own land. Gandhi did not retaliate the brute force, oppressive violence and incessant torture of the English rule, with violence. He matched every stone thrown and every bullet fired at him with resilience. At a time when the colonial rule was recruiting soldiers and importing battle equipment by the score, here was a man who did not even lift so much as a stick in his self defense, yet was successful in driving them out of India. For Gandhi, the ends achieved were as good as the means used to achieve them. A country born out of violence would not have a strong enough foundation to tide over the teething issues which had to subsequently be faced. The purpose of satyagrah as he said "was not to prove somebody wrong, but to make the other person realize his mistake".
Satyagrah, truth, non-violence may seem instruments for those who lack the physical capacity to ward of violence. But, strength doesn't come from physical capacity, it comes from indomitable will. Forgiveness, is a weapon of the strong, the weak cannot forgive. All the methods of Mahatma Gandhi connected with the common man. He precipitated the cause of satyagrah, to the grass root level by incorporating it in the daily struggle against the British rule. "It is difficult to believe that such a man in flesh and blood ever walked upon the face of the earth." Yet, in a country where he is revered as a Father of the Nation, I stand before you to prove his greatness. Gandhi's satyagrah was not some utopian idea of independence, which was why it was so effective.
Gandhi did not give any particular message in his lifetime. His life is his message. We have to take bits out of his life and adopt it in our life and make it better. When Gandhi spoke of equality, he lived in equality. He adopted lepers from the streets all around the country and took them to his ashrams. He took care of them and their ailing health, when the whole society shunned them. He broke all tradition and barriers when it came to following his chosen path. Mahatma Gandhi gave a strong message and set an example by sheltering those unfortunate people. Through his actions, he pleaded us to follow him and not deprive the lepers of basic rights of society. For him, equality of rights transcended all boundaries of caste, creed, color, gender and even diseases. Just some pigmentation on the skin could not deter him from granting equality.
This was Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, given the title Mahatma by Rabindranath Tagore for his contribution to society in the above and many more forms. We may close ourselves to his ideas and thoughts by the end of this program, or sit and ponder over them. If we want, we can revive the Mahatma, he cannot be wiped from the earth by simply 3 bullets. Or maybe he can be, it's our choice.
London Bridge today is not the same London Bridge that crossed the Thames when it was first built. Peter, a priest and chaplain of St. Mary's of Colechurch, began the foundation of the original bridge in 1176 to replace a wooden bridge (expensive to maintain and repeatedly burned down) that had first been built by the Romans. The original London Bridge consisted of nineteen pointed arches, each with a span averaging 7 meters, and built on 6-metre-wide piers. A twentieth opening in the bridge was spanned by a wooden drawbridge. With the building of this bridge, a peculiar effect was discovered - the tide roared through the narrow arches every day with great force; in fact, it was so dramatically affected that it created temporary 5-foot-high cataracts every day as it went in and out.. A new sport based on this nifty effect was "shooting the bridge" - slipping through the arches in a small boat when the tide was turning.

Peter of Colechurch died in 1205, and his work was completed by three other London citizens by 1209. The bridge, already rather narrow for its function, became even narrower (about 4 metres wide) when shops and homes were built along both sides of the roadway right on the bridge itself; by 1358, 138 places of business were recorded in the tax rolls. And, like most older London buildings, the shops were built so that the upper floors stretched over the roadway - at last, the bridge became more like a long tunnel lined with shops, through which travelers and other people flowed. One can only imagine the smell, with the sheltered road, no real drainage, and lots of horses and people! The houses were built so that they overhung the water as well as the roadway, and were anchored by tying them together across the street with arches of strong timber. In 1580, water mills added to the general chaos of the bridge.

The bridge was not only a home and place of business, it was a defensible structure. More than once, its drawbridge was raised and men fought under its strong tower to repulse invaders or rebels, putting the wooden houses built on the bridge at some risk. Until after the Scottish Restoration, the bridge was often decorated by the heads, quarters, or body parts of the executed who were to be put on display afterward. As late as the year 1598, a German traveller counted over thirty heads.
But having so much on the bridge itself became dangerous indeed to inhabitants and travellers. Only three years after it was first completed, a huge fire destroyed its buildings, killing perhaps 3000 people when it jumped from one end of the bridge to the other, trapping firefighting crowds between the flames. The houses were quickly rebuilt - and in 1282 five of the bridge arches collapsed with the weight of winter ice. But they too were rebuilt along with their requisite buildings, and the bridge continued as London's sole crossing of the Thames until 1750, when Westminster Bridge opened.

At about this time, the designer of Westminster Bridge was hired to repair and renovate London Bridge. Redesign and repair was deemed necessary by the narrowness of the road, the huge supports of the bridge (which took up about a quarter of the river's width), and by the dangerous sport of shooting the bridge and other health hazards posed by the bridge. By 1762 the character of the bridge was changed: all the houses were gone, the roadway was 14 metres wide, and the two central arches replaced by one great arch, allowing much easier passage for larger boats.

Alas, this central arch proved difficult to maintain, and in the early 1800s a second bridge was built a few meters away. The original London Bridge was demolished by 1832. The new bridge was called Rennie's Bridge. Designed by George Rennie and constructed by John Rennie, it was composed of only five arches, with the central span reaching 46 metres. Rennie's London Bridge had a very odd ending. It lasted less than 140 years. Between 1968 and 1971, it was dismantled and shipped across the Atlantic to the United States, where it was rebuilt in Lake Havasu City, where it still stands, crossing Lake Havasu, 255 kilometres south of Hoover Dam on the Colorado River. To see that London Bridge, Londoners have to fly ten thousand miles!
The current London Bridge is modern pre-stressed concrete with a central span of 104 meters.
Your Ultimate Defense Against Silent Inflammation:
Silent inflammation has been linked to heart disease, cancer and dementia. It is a condition that occurs when the body's natural immune response goes awry. Silent inflammation is an inflammation without pain and it can continue undetected for years, continually assaulting your heart, arteries and even the brain - without you noticing it.According to Dr. Barry Sears, author of bestselling books "The Zone," high carbohydrate diet is the culprit to this kind of health situation. In his boos "The Anti-inflammation Zone," he had proposed taking supplements of high dose, ultra-refined fish oil as the best armor against inflammation.
The Japanese manage to maintain a state of wellness and away from silent inflammation by consuming copious amounts of fish. However, according to a research, the massive amounts of fish does not ensure them enough intake of omega-3 fatty acids or fish oil. Fish oil is ultimately the healthiest fat around because it has profiund anti-inflammatory properties. It has no long-term side effects and can even make you smarter.
The reason why high-dose fish oil is so effective is because it reduces arachodonic acid (AA) which is the building block of pro-inflammatory eicosanoids. By taking it within 30 days,it will increase your levels of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). Fish oil is the only dietary supplement that is supported by robust clinical studes by treating chronic conditions like heart disease, cancer, immunological and inflammatory diseases, and neurological conditions like attention deficit disorder, depression, multiple sclerosis, and different types of dementia. However, taking oil fish as defenses to silent inflammation has a drawback, it might lead you to contamination. So in taking fish oil as dietary supplement, Dr. Barry Sears cautioned to ensure that its ultra-refined and use the SIP as guidance for exact dosage. On a scale of 1 to 10 for supplements, Dr. Sears give high-dose fish oil a 12. The EPA found in fish oil partially inhibits the activity of the delta-5 desaturase enzyme that makes AA.
This represents the primary anti-inflammatory effect of fish oil, he adds. To achieve a significant impact on AA production, a person must provide a lot of EPA. A high-dose fish oil, especially rich in EPA will likely lead you to success in reducing silent inflammation as reflected in the reduction of the AA/EPA ratio. The ratio can be measured by SIP.
The public and the mainstream medicine are starting to accept the importance of insulin control to well-being. Now is the perfect time to bring to public's attention the role of eicosanoids and the way high-dose it can manipulate them. Dr. Barry Sears that the role of fish oil in medical practice because it tells us that medical care is based primarily on the food we eat, not the drugs we take.Recent genetic research is forcing scientists to evaluate the value of fish oil in the evolution of modern humANS. It was genetic scientists who initiated the theory that consumption of high-dose fish oil was the reason why humans have the power to conquer the earth. A proper combination of insulin and high-dose pharmaceutical-grade of the oil may be the true miracle cure for the 21st century. It is so effective that having this dietary supplement is like having a miracle drug that has the perfect balance between eicosanoids with totally zero side effects.
• Reduce the risk of hear attack. Even if the DHA and EPA are fatty acids, they can reduce cholesterol, triglycerides and blood pressure. It helps in preventing blood clots in the heart. So aside from heart attacks, fish oil is also important in reducing risks of coronary heart disease.
• Reduce the risk of cancer. Researches have shown that can it will help in reducing risks of developing breast, prostate and colon cancer. They stop the growth of cancerous cells and inhibit its growth. The supplements are meticulously purified to remove heavy metals such as mercury, lead, PCBs and other toxins as well as to reduce the incidence of rancidity and improve the taste and quality of the fish. These makes fish as safe and effective food supplement. A 1-gram fish oil capsule contains about 180 mg of EPA and 120 mg of DHA. An intake of three 1-gram capsules would provide 0.9 gram (900 mg) of EPA and DHA. This means it comply the daily dosage recommended by the American Heart Association. However, you should always bear in mind that fish oil supplements are basically dietary supplements, not drugs.Studies shows that many people are getting too much of the wrong kinds of fats found in animals (saturated fats) and vegetables (polyunsaturated fats), and need the fish oil to "balance" the family of fat nutrients. Intake of the wrong kinds of fats should be lowered to total 20 to 30 percent of daily calorie serving while fats found in the oils of certain fish should be appreciably increased.
Fish oil prevents and/or alleviates heart disease, high blood pressure, arthritis and migraine, headaches, may be protective against cancer, immune deficiency diseases, kidney disease and others. It also have two special nutrients that protect the heart and arteries, reduce pain, inflammation and swelling, and protect cell membranes. Omega-3 EFAs found in oily fishes are believed to be essential for the healthy development of brain, retina, and nervous tissue among fetus and infant.During pregnancy these fatty acids are transferred from the mother's tissues to the fetus. However, the FDA has strict guidelines on eating fish during pregnancy because of the possibility of mercury or other toxic substances that may contain in fishes and the best solution is to take fish oil as food supplement
Over the past 30 years more than 7,000 scientific studies have provided evidence supporting the effectiveness of fish oil and omega-3 EFAs in the prevention and treatment of our most common diseases. Hundreds of clinical trials support the efficacy of fish oil's omega-3 essential fatty acids in preventing, mitigating, and remedying an incredible range of health conditions. Some scientific and medical communities however are resisting to these facts and still support pharmacological treatment.
As a traditional dietary supplement that encourages good health,it is a preventive medicine but as a natural alternative to NSAIDs or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and other pharmacological and medical treatments, it is complementary medicine. With all the undergoing studies to prove its affectivity, fish is on the threshold of crossing over into traditional Western medicine.
How Fish Oil Can Cure Inflammation:
Inflammation occurs as our body's natural protective response to fend off any outside aggressors and to begin the process of healing. Its effect on our tissues usually involves pain, heat and redness. However, there are some cases that this outward effect is not visible.
Inflammation is a double-edges sword; its effect can be helpful or harmful depending on the circumstances. When an inflammation is in chronic state, devastating consequences are likely to happen like arthritis, heart disease or stroke. It usually happens when the cause of inflammation is continually reintroduced or if the acute inflammatory response is not able to eliminate it. This situation is very likely to happen nowadays because of our exposure to implausible amounts of toxins.
Some of these toxins can be avoided like poor food choices, smoking, and prolonged sun exposure. While some things arise from things from things we don't have control like genetics, accidents and pollution. Inasmuch as there are factors you can't help being exposed to unnecessary and harmful factors detrimental to your good health, you can also take food supplements effective in strengthening your body against the sometimes lethal effect of inflammation. The most effective food supplement according to recent studies happens to be fish oil.
The prevalence of destructive or chronic inflammation among Western countries makes it imperative for many specialists to deal with preventive measures. The reason behind this is that the Western population is more exposed to stress, obesity and poor health in general. Many pharmacological anti-inflammatory drugs offer reduction of inflammation, however, long-term medication have potentially lethal side effects.
So what is your safest option if you have inflammation? Research on alternative medicines revealed that certain dietary supplements can help reduce levels of pro-inflammatory factors, with significantly lower side effects. One of these dietary supplements is the essential fatty acids or EFAs.
Essential fatty acids are necessary for various aspects of normal physiology like: mediating immune response, regulating bodily secretions and their viscosity, dilating and constricting blood vessels, regulating collateral circulation, directing endocrine hormones to their target cells, regulating smooth muscles and autonomic reflexes, being primary constituents of cell membranes, regulating the rate of cell division, maintaining the fluidity and rigidity of cellular membranes, regulating the flow of substances into and out from cells, transporting oxygen from red blood cells to the tissues, maintaining proper kidney function and fluid balance, keeping saturated fats mobile in the bloodstream, preventing blood clots, mediating the release of inflammatory eicosanoids that may trigger allergic conditions, and regulating nerve transmission and communication. (Source: Fish Oil: The Natural Anti-inflammatory by Joseph C. Maroon and Jeffrey Bost, 2006, page 39).
For this reason, it is very important for over-all health to have a regular intake of foods rich in omega-6 or omega-3 EFAs. The omega-3 pathway, activated by trauma, injury, or chemical stimulus, is the process of converting the omega-3 EFAs found in the cell membranes to various eicosanoids. If the omega-3 EFA components of the cell membranes become dominant, an anti-inflammatory state can result, with preventive health benefits.
Fish is the best source of the omega-3 essential fatty acids. But why fish oil, you might ask? The needed nutrients can also be found in green plants; algae (phytoplankton); leaves and seeds of the perilla plants; and linseed oil but fish oil is considered the most important dietary source of omega-3 EFAs because it contains concentrated amounts of the ALA derivatives with APA and DHA.
The two mentioned nutrients can almost exclusively found in seafood. Fish contains high amount of EPA and DHA because they are at the top of food chain based on algae, a single-marine organism that manufactures huge amount of EPA and DHA.
Surprising Benefits Of Using Fish Oil:
The known benefits of fish oil are not just limited to the more common conditions. Of course, many people have already known how using fish oil may help improve skin health and reduce the risk of heart disease. But there are also surprising benefits that it seem to offer to those who regularly consume them. Here are just some of them.
Depression And Anxiety People may not be aware of it, but fish seems to help put people in a good mood. In fact, many studies have shown that fish oil may be beneficial in trying to help treat depression and anxiety in people. Thanks to the omega 3 fatty acids contained in fish, it seems a good means to relieve anxiety, depression, stress and sadness in people.
Fish seems to have good mood stabilizing properties that make them quite interesting as a treatment for depression and other related conditions. Evidence suggests that countries where oily fish such as salmon is regularly eaten also seem to have low incidence of depression. Similar studies involving prisoners have also shown that having them on a diet rich in omega 3 fatty acids resulted in a significant drop in homicide rates. Although more studies may be needed in order for such findings to be conclusive, it already shows some good evidences of the other surprising benefits of fish oil.
Cancer Fighter It may seem quite surprising enough that fish oil may also benefit patients with certain forms of cancer. Preliminary studies have shown that fish oil may be useful in trying to delay the weight loss in people suffering from pancreatic cancer. Still further research may be needed to solidify this claim as well as how oily fish may affect certain types of cancers.
Type II Diabetes Some studies also have shown positive findings on the effect of fish oil in Type II diabetes. Since people suffering from this form of diabetes are also prone to developing diseases such as coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis and stroke, medical experts believe that taking fish oil supplements may also help in trying to reduce such risks in diabetics. Some studies have already shown that fish oil may also be effective in lowering triglyceride levels in people with diabetes.
Pregnancy Fish oil might also be able to help women bear healthier children. Taking the oil supplements may help pregnant women ensure the healthy development of their child while still in the womb. The DHA found in fish oil is known to help babies undergo healthy eye and brain development. Pregnant women who are also taking the oil supplements run fewer risks of having premature births, miscarriage or delivering babies with low birth weights. As an added benefit, pregnant women who regularly take fish oil supplements run lesser risks of getting into depression following the baby's delivery.
Fertility Fish oil supplements may also help in improving fertility. In a study done on male boars, those who were fed with a diet rich in fish oils were able to show better sperm quality. After ejaculation, the sperm from the boars fed with fish oil seem to resist the effects of lipid peroxidative attacks in the female boar genital tract, giving the sperm higher chances of conception.
The Benefits of Fish Oil Supplements: The benefits of fish oil supplements should not be outweighed the need to understand how these supplements should work or provide essential nutrients for the human body.
Although it is a general notion for nutrition experts to insist on regular food as the common and most basic source of vitamins and minerals important for the human body, oil supplements, be it in liquid or solid form, are needed to ensure a holistic enrichment and nourishment for the body.
Fish oil supplementation is ideally beneficial by providing for what the regular or daily diet may not provide, it can also be a preventive measure against diseases and illnesses.
Essentially, fish supplements are meant to complement a diet, not as a substitute for it, as what many believe to be the case. Since plant foods still contain many nutrients, among them phytochemicals, that still cannot be substituted or generated through synthetic means.
Why the need for fish oil supplements? Take for instance these circumstances;
Infants that are being breast-fed need to have their regular source of iron, especially when they reach their four to six months, since breast milk only provides little iron. This is where iron supplementation comes in with baby milk formula or alternative sources like fortified cereal meals or baby food.
Children also need fluoride supplementation to strengthen teeth and prevent tooth decay.
Pregnant women need multivitamin-mineral supplementation, to ensure that their nutrient levels are met for the development of the fetus inside the womb. Among those that need supplementation are increased levels of folate to prevent birth defects, as well as increased amounts of vitamins like B6.
You Gotta Love Fish Oil
One has gotta love fish oil. If you think that I'm kidding then go pick it up. Those who shun fishes like mackerel, tuna and salmon due to some personal and at times even weird preferences might have second thoughts, by going for fresh fish which has oil in them for vit. B6 supplement for your good health to come up.
Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar was born on 24 April 1973 is an Indian cricketer widely considered by many to be one of the greatest batsmen of all time. He is the leading run-scorer and century maker in Test and one-day international cricket. He is the first player to score a double century in ODI cricket. In 2002, just 12 years into his career, Wisden ranked him the second greatest Test batsman of all time, behind Donald Bradman, and the second greatest one-day-international (ODI) batsman of all time, behind Viv Richards. Tendulkar was a part of the 2011 Cricket World Cup winning Indian team in the later part of his career, his first such win in six World Cup appearances for India. He is currently nominated for receiving the Bharat Ratna award.

Tendulkar has been honoured with the Padma Vibhushan award, India's second highest civilian award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award, India's highest sporting honour. Tendulkar became the first sportsperson and the first person without an aviation background to be awarded the honorary rank of Group Captain by the Indian Air Force. He has received honorary doctorates from University of Mysore and Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences He won the 2010 Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for cricketer of the year at the ICC awards
Concept of the Indian Premier League was just a answer to the Zee Entertainment's Indian Cricket League, headed by Former Captain of Indian Cricket Team [Kapil Dev]. The Concept of the Indian Premier League [Man behind the IPL T20: Mr Lalit Modi] was of its in the game called Cricket. After the success of Indian Cricket Team at the First Ever Twenty20 World Cup held in 2008, Twenty 20 was the most viewed format of the game.

Birth of a New Era in the Cricket World has been defined by IPL, as it is a format used by the English premier league in the Football, their are the private owners of the teams and they have to bet for the best players to be in their team. The First Season of the Indian Premier League includes the Eight Teams, which are as follows:

1. Kolkota Knight Riders

2. Delhi Dare Devils

3. Chennai Super Kings

4. Hyderabad Deccan Chargers

5. Bangalore Royal Challengers

6. Rajasthan Royals

7. Mumbai Indians &

8. Punjab Kings XI

The Cricketing World has become smaller than ever, as players from different countries are playing for the same team and most importantly enjoying the same. The TRP of the Indian Premier league has even crossed the most successful event of the Cricket World, i.e. Twenty20 World Cup 2008.
What makes it more interesting is the Amount of the Money Flowing in the Cricket and the players, As Said by the Mr Modi, to the Media: "If we would not have limited the amount of the Money, for which the team players has to be bought, then our cricket players would have been the most paid sports person in the world"
I am Passionate for the Game we called as Cricket and by introduction of the T20 Format, I don't have the words to define my so called passion. If you are also passionate about the IPL, don't forget to cheak out all the updates, highlights, standing and related news on my blog on IPL Twenty20.
The Ashes and India-Pakistan series are no doubt very much awaited by fans, but at the end of the day World Cup Cricket is about the participation of all the test playing nations of the world and this is a much bigger platform indeed for teams and players to prove their talent and potential. Cricket world cup take place once every four years and this is another reason that makes the event all the more interesting and fascinating among fans. The next edition of the world cup will be held in the year 2007, in the West Indies.

The Cricket World Cup 2007 promises to be interesting to fans for many reasons. First for many leading international players, this may well be their last world cup appearance. So veterans like Glen Mc Grath, Mathew Hayden of Australia, Anil Kumble and VVS Laxman of India (if they make it to the world cup team) will give it their best shot, so that they can leave the field on a high. Right now there are no single contenders to the title, but on merit and paper as well Australia appears to be the most solid team to win the tournament. Well many things can be talked about and predicted, but we will all have to wait for world cup 2007, to actually see how teams will fare on the field.
The last cricket world cup held in the year 2003, in South Africa was won by Australia after they beat India comprehensively in the finals. Overcoming a poor start in the 2003 cricket world cup, India went on a spree of remaining unbeaten for several matches before being eventually beaten in the finals by Australia. Australia on the other hand had a great beginning to the last cricket world cup and had an equally wonderful end to the tournament. As someone has rightly said, it does not get bigger then the cricket world cup for a player to showcase his talent and potential.
All major teams of the world have begun preparing for the cricket world cup and most of them are doing it in their own unique style. Most teams are taking part in one tournament or the other to keep their team members in touch with the game. Some players are fighting against time to become fit and take part in the cricket world cup. This is the biggest event in the life of any cricketer and excelling during this tournament is what they always aim for. Of course first of all they must find a place in the world cup squad. Getting a place in the squad of cricket world cup is not so easy. All players must prove that they are really worthy to be a part of the team and only then will they be selected.
It does not matter if a player has performed brilliantly in the past, but is right now woefully out of from. Past performance is not the thing that will take a team to victory, so selectors have to take special care of this. All selection of the team for the cricket world cup squad must be done strictly on the basis of merit.
It was created in Paris, France, on May 21, 1904, for the improvement of the sport. The foundation act was signed by delegates from France, Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, and Spain. Two days after its foundation, the organization met in its first Congress, where Robert Guerin of France was elected as president..

In 1906, FIFA hosted the first international soccer competition ever. It wasn't very successful, though. This, coupled with failing economics, led to Guerin's replacement by Daniel Burley Woolfall, an Englishman. Under Woolfall's direction, FIFA's participation in the 1908 Olympics fared much better than the organization's first attempt. At first, only European nations were in the federation. In 1909, however, South Africa joined, followed three years later by Argentina and Chile, then one year later by the USA and Canada. Then World War I hit hard.
During World War I, FIFA faltered, with many players being sent off to war, and the price of international travel rising so far. By the end of the first World War, in 1921, there were only 20 nations in the organization. The United Kingdom countries (England, Scotland, and Ireland) pulled out of the federation, saying that they didn't want to compete against or participate with their former World War enemies. At the end of Jules Rimet's (the third FIFA president) 33 year presidency, however, FIFA boasted a participation of 85 members. The United Kingdom countries returned, thanks to Rimet's wonderful diplomatic skills. He retired at the age of 80.
A Belgian, Rodolphe William Seeldrayers, became the organization's fourth president. Under his rule, FIFA celebrated its 50 year anniversary. When he died in 1955, Arthur Drewry became the federation's fifth president. During his presidency, the 6th World Cup in Stockholm went well. He ruled until he died in 1961, at 70 years old. Ernst B. Thommen, a Swiss, was not the 6th president. Instead, he ruled from the position as Chairman of FIFA's Organizing Committee, and things went well. Sir Stanley Rous was the sixth president. Things went well for FIFA again, especially financially. In 1974, Dr. Joao Havelange, a Brazilian, became president. He ushered in a new era for soccer and FIFA, and the organization became more of an enterprise, striving to better the sport, rather than just an organization trying to meet and maintain the status quo.
In 1998, when Joseph S. Blatter of Switzerland became president, FIFA had reached almost full globalization. Today, FIFA organizes and maintains the prestigious soccer World Cup, which is coveted by countless of soccer players around the world. FIFA also organizes and maintains several other prestigious cups, including the Women's World Cup, and the Jules Rimet Cup. FIFA also helps with the Olympics. There are yearly FIFA World Cup video games sold everywhere in the developed world, and, as the organization's motto says, FIFA strives to make the entire sport the best it can be.

The Nobel Prize is awarded to outstanding achievements in the following categories:

Physics

Chemistry

Physiology or Medicine

Literature

Peace

Economics

Since 1901, the international prize is administered by the Nobel Foundation in Stockholm and awarded in each category each year. The Economics category is a relative newcomer, having been added in 1968. Each prize consists of a medal, a personal certificate or diploma, and a cash award.
The Nobel Foundation was formed at the bequest of Alfred Bernhard Nobel (1883-1896), a 19th century Swedish technologist noted for the invention of dynamite, as well as for being an engineer, chemist, innovator, and armaments manufacturer. Alfred Nobel amassed a considerable fortune during his lifetime and in his last will and testament, established the Nobel Foundation, possibly in answer to an erroneous obituary in a French publication that criticized him for the invention of dynamite, then considered to be useful mostly during war. Nobel is said to have established the Foundation in order to leave a better legacy to the world.
Who selects the Nobel Prize recipients?
In his will, Alfred Nobel designated the institutions that were to award the prizes:

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for the Nobel Prize in Physics and Chemistry

The Karolinska Institute for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine

The Swedish Academy for the Nobel Prize in Literature

a committee in the Norwegian Parliament for the Nobel Peace Prize

The Royal Swedish Academy was chosen in 1968 to select the Economic Prize Laureates beginning in 1969

How are the nominees picked? Each year, the various Nobel Committees send thousands of invitations to academy members, university professors, scientists, past Nobel Prize recipients, government officials, and other influential persons in various fields. The nominations go out to a wide selection of universities and countries so as to get as broad a nomination spectrum as possible from thousands of sources. Nominators submit a nomination form for their preferred candidate. More than one Laureate may be selected in each category. Details of the entire process have been kept secret for 50 years to eliminate as much as possible undue influence in the selection process.
How are the nominees announced?
On the day each awarding institution selects its candidate(s), the announcement is made public at a press conference. Minutes before each press conference, the Nobel Laureates are informed via telephone that they have won the Prize in their respective category. Through the years, the 'Magic Call' has come through while the Laureate was in flight, at the dentist, in a pub, and various other places. Often, disbelief or feeling that a prank has been perpetuated on their behalf is the first reaction from the Laureates.
Where are the awards given out?
All Laureates except the one for Peace receive their medal, diploma, and monetary verification at an awards ceremony in Stockholm, Sweden that takes place in December. The Economics Laureates receive their awards at a similar ceremony in Oslo, Norway. Royalty from both host countries are represented during the ceremony. In addition, lectures are presented by the Laureates, before or during the time of the ceremony. The Peace Laureates give their lectures during the Oslo ceremony while all other Laureates present theirs during the few days prior to their ceremony in Stockholm. Every award ceremony is followed by a banquet by the Laureates, their guests, and assorted dignitaries and officials, providing a memorable end to the 'Magic Week' in Stockholm and Oslo.
Many institutions vie for the prestige and other benefits having a Nobel Prize recipient on staff can bring. Recipients continue to be well respected after receiving their Nobel Prizes and are often in a position to command increased funding and acknowledgement for future research and other endeavors.
