Yesterday was a beautiful day. It rained in the morning and cleared up by evening. This is the view out of the window in my class. I was in class last night from 5:30 to 9:30 pm. Its tough to sit inside when this is how the outside looks.

Mother Russia Has Forsaken Her Children

No pictures today. At least not in graphical form. Sometimes words paint pictures more vivid than photos ever can. Unfortunately, this one is a sad one. Al Mohler's blog today has a commentary on abortion statistics in Russia. This is truly devastating. Click here to read his post. The picture that this post paints is very grim.

El Parque del Buen Retiro. A park in Madrid. A pretty cool place. Lots of people come here to relax and spend time with friends and family. The park has a man made lake, where you can rent row boats and cruise around the lake. If you're ever in Madrid, I recommend visiting this park.

As you have noticed this week I'm displaying many pictures of water. Well, that's not necessarily because I or the photographer of these pictures loves water. But rather, it's because we are focusing on Micronesia this week. And Micronesia is basically a series of islands in the Northern Pacific Ocean. So, I hope you enjoy these photos. Chukotka is the farthest north-eastern region of Russia. It is also one of the coldest regions. During the winter months temperatures can be as low as -47F to -76F. If you ask me, that's pretty cold. To learn more about this mysterious region of the world click here.

I'd like to change things up a bit and take a different approach to this photo blog. Instead of posting pictures from different parts of the world at random, I'd like to begin organizing the posts in themes. These themes will still revolve around places in the world. And each theme will rotate on a weekly basis. I will post as in the past one photo a day, but now for 5 or 6 days from the same city or region of the world. I hope you enjoy it.
