Steve Jobs finally announced his interactive TV in his keynote speech of Macworld 07 under the name Apple TV. Apple TV is a wireless entertainment box that allows you (and 4 other computer users) to play your entertainment media from your computer to your TV or home entertainment center and 720 dpi resolution.

It also allows you to stream media from Apple Tv to your computers. The box has a 40GB hard-drive that holds films and music on it. All 5 computers in your house can wirelessly watch the videos on the Apple box.

The box is designed to play TV shows, films, music, podcasts and photos. It can also connect to your comupter through USB cable.

We've been waiting along time for this. Apple are taking orders at their storeand will be shipping their products in February.

This rather slim number comes with high definition, hard drive and, wait for it, pistol-grip. Looks good for all that point and shooting action. Love how the image on the screen always suggests you could use it in bed. Engadget has a description:

Maintaining the same pistol-grip form factor and 720p resolution as its predecessor, the HD2 kicks the stills up to seven megapixels, delivers 75% better low-light sensitivity, and perhaps best of all, ships with a docking station that sports HDMI out. Like the HD1a, this new model boasts support for SDHC, and Sanyo claims that a big fat 8GB card will store almost three full hours of footage. Other notable specs include 16:9 mode, a 2.2-inch LCD, 10x optical zoom, and spoken directions to help newbs get shooting right away. Expect the HD2 to drop sometime in March, and even though you're getting a number of improved features, Sanyo managed to knock $100 off of the HD1's initial price of $800.

French Artist Cali Rezo works work may look like photography but she actually originates her art with a tablet and a pen directly on the computer.

She explains on her site that she uses photographics references, then starts with a sketch (with her electronic pen - not on paper, and never on the photo). Then she paints the light and dark flat tints, then tunes the color tints and the finess of the strokes.

The car above is due to be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show 07. It's the C-XF concept car from Jaguar - a four-door sports saloon which, according to the press release, will provide a clear indication of the design direction that the next generations of Jaguar saloons will take.

It has been designed by the same teams that produced the Jaguar XK sports GT range in 2005 - headed by Jaguar Director of Design Ian Callum and Head of Advanced Design Julian Thomson. The press release reads:

C-XF has a taut beauty, but it is also a car that will challenge people's preconceptions about Jaguar; it has an edginess that exudes a sense of underlying menace... "The tonality has a functional aspect but also extreme beauty; mechanical designs that are fit for purpose are often beautifully designed - we've taken our inspiration from machinery as diverse as aircraft to cameras in seeking to make the car look like it was milled from a solid piece of metal."

Lotus will partner with Obvio! Automotoveiculos in Brazil to develop two high-performance mini sports cars, Channel 4 reports. The '828' and '012' (pictured) will be ultra-lightweightv and use "aerospace-developed structural technology" to make them strong and safe. Oddly enough, the cars will be three-seaters: the driver and passengers sitting three-abreast and the doors will be scissor-opening. Channel 4 reports:

Power will come, at least initially, from the Brazilian-built Tritec 1.6-litre engine as supplied to Chrysler, as used in the Mk1 Mini. This will be adapted by Lotus for 'trybrid' multi-fuel capability, giving the option to run on petrol, bioethanol or natural gas; and besides an entry-level normally-aspirated version, 170bhp and 250bhp turbocharged variants will also be produced. Shortly after the launch of these models, eco-friendly electric versions will follow too.
