Back once again as a recommended Gate Street Barn wedding photographer – Annie + Liam absolutely smashing their day at this wonderful Surrey wedding venue, and I’m now in my 14th year of photographing weddings at Gate Street. Where the hell has that time gone? I love it here, and it’s run by a brilliant team.

Annie + Liam are my kind of people. Warm, funny and generous. They have already had quite the life together and are set for so much more of that. Their friends and families are hugely important to them, and they shone amidst a crowd of wonderful people. Liam and I share a love of cycling and a relatively obscure Scottish band called Frightened Rabbit (RIP, Scott). It’s little details like this that make a huge difference. Lots of wedding photographers around, and lots of wedding venues. It’s about finding the small details that click and make connections. People connect in ways that algorithims will never truly get, and humanity persists in the face of ever more tech and social media. Days like these are what matter, and people like Annie + Liam. This was an immense day cemented by these two, and I was so proud to be chosen as their wedding photographer.

The most lovely, warm, generous, funny and welcoming couple you could wish to meet, at the most perfect West Sussex wedding venue. See what I mean? Charli delivery pure elegance and natural beauty, and Paul bringing some damn good looks in that uniform. Throw in a hundred or so brilliant guests, some very talented fellow suppliers, a day that saw rain give way to unexpected sunlight, and the promise of Christmas less than a month away on the horizon, and you see a day that had it all. Loved. Every. Minute.

Certain venues attract certain couples, and they just fit. Cowdray House always, always, always attracts couples who are such a great fit with how I work and photograph. They lean into the day they’ve built and leave it to those they have trusted their day with to bring that vision to life. Settle in for some glorious Merriscourt wedding photography – Abi + Jonny’s wonderful summer wedding and another one for me with a very, very special group of friends who I have had the honour of photographing three couples, with another to come next year. Pinch me.

I first met Abi when I photographed Lydia + Jonny’s wedding in Somerset in 2019 and she was a bridesmaid (a favour returned by Lydia today), and then again when I photographed Chloe + Ed’s in 2023 (Chloe is Lydia’s sister) – so when she got in touch to see if I was free for her wedding at this gorgeous Cotswolds wedding venue it took me about 1 second to check and say yes. I adore this group of people (and will be lucky enough to photograph Kelli + Ethan’s next year) and it was also great to meet Sarah + Matt in person (another couple in this group whose wedding I was sadly unable to do last year!). My drive up was through heavy rain, but it stopped as I arrived and gave us the most perfect soft light, and a merciful break from the intense heat of June and early July this year. This was my first time at Merriscourt, and it’s a fabulous venue with so many options for a wedding photographer, and run by a great team. I hope to photograph here again soon.

The day was perfect – that mix of love, party and emotion. A fantastic blend of family and friends. A special venue. Great food and music. All the boxes ticked, and right at the centre a couple who come alive around each other and who are surely set for a fantastic life together. Inject these days into my veins. My drive home across the gorgeous Cotswolds countryside was filled with memories and these three couples who have trusted me with their days, each one of them unique, full of love and joy and a feeling that this truly is the job of kings.

“The minute we met you on our first call, we knew that you were the person that we wanted to be our photographer on our wedding day. You made us feel so relaxed and at ease from that first interaction, and we thoroughly enjoyed just chatting and getting to know you. Then having you there and being such a big part of our day, you were just so fun and made it so easy. We are not people that feel comfortable being photographed, and even in our couples photos it was just good fun and we ended up with some incredible shots. Summer, warmth, soft, soft light, amazing people, real love and some Southend Barns wedding photography – Imi + Joe’s fabulous down in West Sussex down close to the gorgeous Witterings. Imi found me through her sister Meg who was a guest at Catherine + Nick’s awesome day up in Rutland. Fast forward to today and I was thrilled to be with Imi + Joe. A day of easy laughter, great fun, real emotion and love. A day that had a small, intimate ceremony and reception for close friends and family, followed by a much bigger late afternoon and evening reception for another hundred or so. Hugs for days. At the centre these two brilliant people who are so utterly comfortable together and who fit like jigsaw pieces. Yet another day where I drove away in awe of the people I am lucky enough to be chosen to capture their days. What a job this is.

Syrencot Wedding Photography – Vicky + Alex’s bloody brilliant Spring wedding in Wiltshire at the always-stunning Syrencot House, and the tale of how I came to be the very lucky wedding photographer chosen for this day.

We go back just over 2 years, to Amy + Alex’s wedding at Bury Court. Vicky is Alex’s sister and we chatted during that wedding, and they actually booked me there and then, something that happens from time to time and is very lovely when it does. Fast-forward from February 2024 to April 2026 and here we are at the delicious Syrencot (google the story of this amazing house and the link to acclaimed novelist Daphne Du Maurier) and a day that will remain long in my memory. A day of endless laughter, perfect weather, two families coming together and a glorious day of emotion and love from start to finish. A couple who are so meant for each other, and a life that has already taken them across the world and will continue to do so. 2026 is off to a a flyer and surely has many more immense day like this to come…..

Another incredibly hot day, albeit under soft, soft skies and some High Billinghurst Farm wedding photography – Helen + Luke threw an absolute party with a capital P. Every wedding I have photographed at the gorgeous High Billinghurst has been like this. Amazing people with a huge sense of fun coming together for a very special couple who didn’t stop smiling for a single moment. From the ceremony at Shamley Green to the sun-kissed fields of the venue, each minute of this day was packed with laughter, a sense of occasion and the most perfect moments. Emotion from start to finish. I absolutely loved it. I think this is one of those weddings where the photography tells the story far better than my words. So drink it in…what a day! Another fantastic year as a Gate Street Barn recommended Photographer – Annabel + Tom’s gorgeous, sun-kissed wedding being a great example of how perfect this place is, and how bloody brilliant the couples I am lucky enough to photograph there are. Step forward these two, and a day that was on it from start to finish, filled with every single emotion. I adored it, and they were a total joy to shoot. Would I describe this as the perfect wedding day? Yep, I would. The people, the venue, the weather, the food, the fellow suppliers, and most importantly the two people everyone was there for. Loved widely, funny, warm, annoyingly good in front of the camera, self-deprecating, intelligent, successful and just damn good fun. What. A. Day. It has been a while since I’d been here, so here’s some Wasing Park wedding photography – Nat + Adam’s absolutely stellar wedding day in the Berkshire countryside, just 10 miles north of me and, despite the weather trying very hard to put a dampener on things, it failed miserably and I’d be safe in saying that the sheer will of Nat + Adam to have the most incredible day was a huge factor in that. Somehow we managed 90 minutes of dry weather and it fell right where we needed it as the ceremony ended. Good things happen to good people eh? And these two are the best. Nat found me through a previous bride, Katie, and I could not have been happier to be there with them both. Smashed it, out of the park, and right into the next county. Thank you both so much for laying on such a magnificent day, and for choosing me to photograph it.
