Winter Season 2026

The Winter season kicks off on Tuesday January 13th!!

We are trying something different this year..with only 12 teams we moved the top 2 from division A to Metro and combined the other 2 teams into one divison, which is now A. Please note that the format is different for Metro so please print off the Metro scoresheet from the website.

Also new for this year is Metro will be starting at 7 pm!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The annual sign-up and winter season blind draw is happening Tuesday 1/6/26 at Sunset Lanes!

Festivities start at 6:45 for Sign-up for the Winter Season and Blind Draw.

Annual dues are now $40 for the whole year; $20 for just the Winter Season. Tavern Fee is $60. You can find the registration forms on the website here https://thegvda.org/docs_rg.htm

If you don't have a team or would like to be just a General Member the cost is $40. You will be eligible to play in all blind draws and and ADO qualifiers held through out 2026.

In big news...Metro Division will be startring at 7 pm starting with the Winter Season 2026!

Blind Draw is $5 and open to all GVDA members in good standing. 100% payout plus $240 added in! Rochester format. Play starts at 7:30!!

DartConnect is being used for scoring weekly matches...you still need to post your scores via the website like you have been doing.

The FREE qualifier for the ADO Cricket National Finals is coming up Staturday June 7th at California Brew Haus. Sign-in begins at 11:30 with play starting at noon. ALL cricket! Play all legs. The top 2 advance to the National Qualifier will be held June 21st.

The National Qualifier for Region 5-2 will be held June 21st at Rogers Pub in Endicott NY. $75 entry fee.

Summer Blind Draw is July 8th at Sunset Lanes and is open to ALL dart shooters!

Coming up this Saturday, 15th March

Local qualifier FREE to all GVDA members. At Sunset Lanes. Sign up is 11:30am for a high noon start.

Format is Round Robin 501, 3 legs - play all three.

We will award free entry to the top two players for the regional qualifier on March 29th, also at Sunset Lanes. The national event will be in Cleveland.

A lot of great darts were thrown last night!!!

We also ran a raffle and mystery out to raise money for the family of David M McCrary who spent many years playing and supporting darts in the Rochester area. We are very proud to say we were able to give the McCrary family $355 dollars. Kudos to Joe Fox who hit the mystery out of 121 and donated his winnings back to the McCrary family.

Very sad news for us all as we report that Dave McCrary passed away on Sunday.

Dave was a life member of the GVDA. He has served local darts for many years as player, captain, director, chalker, supporter, blogger and a notorious and committed shooter of the wedge.

Outside of darts he was a kind and generous man and the thoughts, prayers and hearts of so many will be with his family, especially Scott and Lea who are both longtime members of the GVDA community.
