Looking for information on the above surnames. Most of my ancestors lived in the Gorbals & Hutchesontown area in the 1850s & 60s. I think they may have come from Co Derry but can't find out whereabouts. Any help would be much appreciated. Looking for any information regarding Milligans from Ayershire. Agnes Alexander WIlls b 1858 married John Milligan b 1864 and had 5 children. Mary 1882 Annie 1885 Elizabeth 1887 John Wills 1889 and Agnes 1895. Only Elizabeth and Mary remained in Scotland as the rest immigrated to Canada in the 1920s. Agnes was my Grandmother and I would like to place a marker on her grave with her birthdate but I cannot locate. Would love to reunite with the Scotland side of the family Much to share

Principally researching Johnson family of Partick, Glasgow -origins Appin/Inveraray, Argyll and McCafferty family of Crosslee/Houston, Renfrewshire -origins Laghey, Co. Donegal: Francis, Patrick, Alex and Margaret emigrated to SD CO, UT & KY, USA. Seeking information on William John Wylie, born 1898. Soldier serving with Cameron Highlanders, married 1926 Margaret Ann Campbell at Stirling Castle Barracks while in detention. Re-married with one daughter and emigrated to Canada. Apparently served in RCMP. Last known contact late 1960's prior to demise.

James was born in Scotland according to the English 1841 census. His death cert stated he died 16 Oct 1846 at the age of 68. His movements included marriage at Stamford Lincolnshire and then on to Manchester. He was a dyer by trade.I am trying to find his place of birth in Scotland.

Duncan was a seaman in 1881 and 1891 censuses. He married Agnes Kelly in Glasgow and they had several children. But in trying to find his death the only Duncan McMillan I can find drowned off the coast of Portugal. A very distant relative of mine states that this isnt my Duncan but I cant find any other. Any ideas to clarify this?

I am trying to discover my great grandmother. Grandfather born Alfred Kirkland Gilmour Oct 1898 in London but his name was changed to Norman Bruce Gilmour by 1901 when he went with Lucretia Gardner Copland and her daughters to Australia. They returned for daughters wedding in Dunoon in 1904 to Daniel McInnes Black. Alfred/Normans father was Alfred Ure McArthur who lived between Balfron and Glasgow died 1932. Birth cert gives AKG/NBG mother as Margaret Gilmour nee Brown. Any help appreciated.

Trying to find info regarding the families of my Great-GrandFather Alexander DOCHERTY born 24 May 1837 at Rutherglen Lanarkshire and his wife Catherine McEACHNIE/McKECHNIE born 1830s Kilbrandon Argyllshire. They were married in 1860 after they arrived in Canada sometime in the 1850s. Alexanders parents were William and Agnes HAMPSIE. Catherines parents were Neil and Margaret McEACHNIE/McKECHNIE.
