Hope someone at this beautiful site can help. Family lore says my gggrandmother Sophia Drummond was from Scotland. But there are problems. Most documents have the family surname as Drummer the tamest of the variants and living in Middlesex England from 1800 to 1900. The only Scottish connection we can find are two possible relatives: S.G. Drummond Glasgow to US in 1891 Alexander Drimmie b. Scotland living with/near Sophies family in US in several censuses.
