George MITCHELL originally from Aberdeenshire lived with his wife Jane BUCHAN in Glasgow from 1878 onwards. They had 6 children Mary Ann was deaf Margaret b. 1890 no other info Amy born 1888 died in infancy another daughter Jane Brown Mitchell m. Robert HINES while their two sons George and Peter MITCHELL married two sisters Martha and Margaret RUSSELL. George and Martha had a son also called George MITCHELL. Any descendants out there? I am interested in Tollcross cemetery. Margaret Mcinnes born 17/11/1887 Broad street Glasgow she died April 12th 1963 and was buried at Tollcross with her mother also Margaret b.5/12/1852. I have Margarets birth entry but am unable to read all of it I believe she may be known as Scott or Mcinnes. Any help with be appreciated.Thanks

I am researching my husbands family tree going back to brothers Hugh and James Riggins.My husband is descended from Hugh his 2x gt grandfather.The family name was Riggens a misspelling by husbands grandparents marriage.I believe through research that there are descendants of James Riggins in the Shotts area.

Janet Anderson was born 1820 in Glasgow Scotlanddaughther of father name was Anderson she was also convicted of minor offences and was sent to the lucky country from Scotland. . Janet came out to Australia on the Ship Mary Ann in 1839 Prisoners No was 39/609 and state ref - 4/4198 her ticket of leave no is 45/609.
