	<p>The Florida Department of Education has just directed all school districts in Florida to keep schools closed through May 1st due to continued concerns related to the coronavirus.</p>
	<p>In order to comply with that directive, the following facts will be in effect immediately:</p>  
	<ul>    
		<li>All Hillsborough County Public Schools will be closed, including traditional and charter, through May 1;</li>      
		<li>ALL extracurricular activities will be cancelled during this timeframe;</li>      
		<li>We will continue online eLearning during this time. You can find our district’s eLearning Plan on our website, HillsboroughSchools.org/coronavirus;</li>    
		<li>We will continue providing our students nutritious meals, Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-1 p.m. at 147 sites. You can find those sites on our Grab and Go page, <a href="/doc/2661/superintendents-office/resources/coronavirusgrabngo/?utm_source=web&amp;utm_medium=redirect&amp;utm_campaign=coronavirus">HillsboroughSchools.org/coronavirus/grabandgo</a>.</li>

Set Up for Success week is March 23-27, where our teachers and parents can get comfortable with eLearning, finalize lesson plans and get access to devices and computers. Classwork during Set Up for Success week will not be graded. 	<p>Storytime Online is a literacy initiative in which members of our community have gathered to read stories to our students. We have been gathering them over the past few months and believe now is the perfect time to begin pushing them out to our families.</p></div>]]></description>

<p>Hillsborough County Public Schools has teamed up with the U.S. Census Bureau to make sure EVERYONE is counted.</p> 
<p>Based on data gathered by the census, $675 billion in U.S. govt. funds is distributed among states and communities. That money is crucial for our schools.</p>
<p>In a few weeks, you’ll be receiving a postcard in the mail. That postcard is your invitation to take the census. Once you receive that invitation, you can respond online, by phone or by email.</p>
