Lately, we’ve been hearing from a number of readers out there who use headphones to enjoy their movies. The big reason has been it’s hard to watch a loud film late at night if you’ve got sensitive sleepers or little kids trying to get their rest. While we love our big, expensive home theater sound systems, sometimes you need something that will give you a…

We're breaking our tradition of "High-Def" for "Standard-Def," but in this case it's worth it. Not sure if you've noticed but the streaming wars aren't exactly going well... for streaming services and customers alike. Sure, there's tons of stuff out there, but a lot is disappearing or just plain unavailable. The COVID pandemic gave various studios the impetus to start shuffling their wares online day and date with their theatrical runs and they saw a bump in funds because everyone was stuck at home. But that bump…

Optoma has released their 2nd generation short-throw projector with their CinemaX P2 that allows for a large screen size with only being a couple of inches away from the wall. With a new device color and coming in less expensive than its predecessor, this new projector is a great out-of-the-box device that delivers a 4K image with HDR10 and has a better-than-average audio system built-in. While Optoma has changed a few of its internal organs this time around, the price is simply outstanding for all the bells and whistles this beautiful-looking projector comes with. INTRO

With more people working and staying at home these days, there's a big need for new audio/video equipment, whether it be for conducting meetings, editing video, or just having the young kids watch a program while the adults are being productive on the job. In the projector realm, a lot of different projector units are difficult to install and require a major overhaul of a living room or media room in regards to placement and setup, not too mention adding a decent audio system to coincide with the image it projects. This can cost thousands upon thousands of dollars…

Marked by 4K HDR10 and Dolby Vision playback capabilities, Dolby Atmos and DTS:X bit-streaming, hi-res audio support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and DSEE HX functionality, the device offers a fantastic assortment of features for its price. This projector may not be a true 4K device, but its excellent optics, sumptuous colors, immersive 3D, and strong contrast make it a very impressive machine overall and Highly Recommended for anyone looking for a projector solution that doesn't cost as much as JVC and Sony's offerings.

With its giant-sized self-emissive panel, the TV combines OLED pixel-level contrast with a near projector-like sense of immersion.
Overview – LG's 65-inch C9 OLED 4K TV features perfect black levels, an infinite contrast ratio, wide color gamut capabilities, fantastic viewing angles, and support for HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG.
Overview -
The Sony X1100ES Ultra HD Blu-ray Player with HDR may not be flashy, but it does its job with a minimum of fuss. Excellent processing produces stunning images and its versatility and ease of use make this attractive, well-built unit suitable for both home theater novices and aficionados. The X1100ES supports HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG HDR (but not HDR+), streams your favorite content from Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube, upscales your existing Blu-rays to 4K, and plays high-resolution audio files and discs.
