When you take a look at the 2009 Rocker C you notice that at first glance is almost indistinguishable from the standard Rocker. Truth be told, there really isn’t a significant level of difference between the two bikes.

Both share the 96 cubic-inch Harley Davidson engine that is rigid mounted to the frame and coupled to the standard 6-speed transmission.

Both have sport front fender, staggered Shorty exhaust system, and innovative rear fender attached to the rear swing arm the gives a tire hugging bobber appearance. They share their low profile chrome console, and the stainless steel pullback handlebars as well.

The only major differences between the two Softail models is that the Rocker C incorporates a hidden seat which allows for a second passenger to ride and alternative paint stylesas shown here in Crimson Red Sunglow Deluxe.

While it lacks the oversized front wheel, custom handlebars, and front mounted foot pegs this Harley Davidson motorcycle still has a mean kick. The 1200cc engine turns out 79 ft-lbs of torque at 4000 RPM. It’s mated to the standard six speed transmission, is that with electronic sequential port fuel injection (ESPFI). It boasts better than average fuel economy without sacrificing power or performance.

Take a quick look at this bike and you find chrome, staggered Shorty exhaust, full front and rear fender, two-up classic seat, stainless steel pullback handlebars, a narrow frame and suspension, and a 4.5 gallon low style custom fuel tank. This motorcycle is available in eight colors schemes and is shown here in Red-Hot Sunglow.

If there is one Harley Davidson motorcycle that would personify the classic styling, large displacement, and the true spirit of the American heavy cruiser, it would be the Road King Classic.

The bike shares much in common with others in the touring line and with the Road King in particular. Of particular note are the full size, classic fenders, the full-length floorboards for both riders, oversized, 6-gallon gas tank, and classic two-up seat.

The Road King Classic is one of the largest motorcycles in the entire Harley lineup and this power cruiser is propelled by the H-D 96 cubic-inch Twin Cam V-Twin engine coupled to a 6-speed transmission. New for 2009 is an isolated drive system, redesigned frame, and front and rear suspension.

Notable exterior features include classic whitewall tires, Lexan removable windshield, 2-1-2 exhaust system, and leather wrapped hard saddlebags. Available in 9 colors and shown here in Deep Tourquise/Antique White.

Considered by many to be the original “Cowboy Bike” the Heritage Softail Classic is a heavy cruiser that has plenty of performance combo’d with classic style and an aggressive attitude.

This Harley Davidson is known for being big boned which adds to the comfort factor enabling it to keep up with the Touring models on long-distance trips. It’s more versitil though in that it’s possible to shed both the saddle bags and windshield in order to convert the bike into a weekend cruiser devoid of frills.

The 2009 edition of the Heritage Softail Classic shares the 96 cubic-inch air-cooled V-Twin engine, 6-speed transmission, and electronic sequential fuel injection system (ESFI) with the other models on the Softail lineup, so it’s mostly style differences that set this bike apart.

Out front you’ll find a full front fender mounted to heavy weight gas shock fork. Just above is is the detachable Lexan windshield. The instrument console is mounted to the tank, trimmed in chrome, and comes in a ‘Cat Eye’ configuration. Half-moon floorboards are standard for the driver with pegs made available to the passenger. Further back comes the leather saddlebags that add a hint of nostalgia when paired to the custom concho designs. Available in 11 color schemes and shown here in Flame Blue Pearl/Pewter Pearl.

The 2009 Sportster 883 Custom continues to enjoy the warm reception showered on it by new and experienced Harley Davidson riders alike. While it shares much in common with the other members of the Sportster family, it has a unique set of features that sets it apart.

Still present is the 883cc engine. While it is the smaller of the two Sportster power plants, it has all the torque that it needs to stay nimble on it’s feet. Also, the six speed transmission and Electronic Fuel Injection system combine to give it better performance and fuel consumption than ever before.

The exterior styling points are what really make this motorcycle stand out. They include a silver powder-coated engine and transmission, chrome shorty exhaust, a larger front wheel, full rear fender, forward-mounted footpegs, and a bullet headlamp. Made available in nine colors and shown here in Red Hot Sunglow/Smokey Gold.

The Electra Glide Standard is still one of the mot popular Harley Davidson touring models sold today. Created with the full intention of properly balancing comfort, style, and touring performance, these three characteristics are flawlessly integrated into the 2009 model.

As with the other members of the the Electra Glide family, this model gets a redesigned frame that is designed to increase strength, reduce vibration, and enhance overall ride quality. The 96 cubic-inch engine features a new isolated drive system and is rubber-mounted to the high-tech backbone. While it is still air-cooled, the motor is fed with electronic fuel injection, has a touring-tuned 6-speed transmission, and has a new two-one-two exhaust system.

Aside from the “Bat Wing” fork mounted fairing, the bike includes exterior features such as injection-molded GTX saddlebags, one-piece two-u classic seat, full length adjustable footboards, and stainless steel touring handlebars. An optional sidecar is also available on the Electra Glide Standard. Only available in 3 color choices and shown here in Flame Blue Pearl.

One of the more unique Harley Davidson production models from the 2009 lineup is the Softail Cross Bones. Dark styling with a nod towards the V-Twin classics of the past, this bike would most certainly be the one chosen by the pirate Captain Jack Sparrow.

The 96 cubic-inch Twin Cam motor is rigid mounted to the Softail frame. It churns out 87.90 ft-lbs of torque at 2,750 rpm but maintains a full 54 mpg on the highway because of the now-standard Electronic Fuel Injection and six-speed transmission.

The exterior styling is what really sets this motorcycle apart from others in the pack. The most notable feature would be the blacked-out springer front end followed closely by the adjustable spring saddle and the Cat’s Eye instrument cluster. Other prominent features include chrome shotgun slash-cut exhaust, chopped front fender, bobtail rear fender, black bucket headlamp, and half-moon floorboards. Available in four color choices and shown here in Black Denium.

Originally conceived by Harley Davidson designers as bike tailored to the European market, the XR1200 received a lot of positive mention in various motorcycles publications and caused a hue and cry among US Sportster owners who wanted one for themselves.

Never know to let their customers down, the powers that be chose to release the XR1200 in North America in 2009. This bike has a racing blood running through it’s veins from it’s silver powder-coated engine, to it’s narrow frame, to it’s mid-mounted footpegs.

The motorcycle is powered by the same 1200cc air-cooled, Evolution engine as other models on the Sportster line, but tuned to produce 73.91 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 rpm. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection and a six-speed transmission come standard.

Exterior styling points include black 3-spoke cast aluminum wheels, recessed headlamp, 2-1-2 exhaust system, and ram-air style intake. Available in three color schemes and shown here in Mirage Orange Pearl.

Each year the Harley Davidson CVO team picked a few models from the main lineup, overhaul them, and then release them as premium editions that have a lot in common with their roots but plenty to stand out as well. In 2009 they decided that it was time for the Road Glide to have it’s turn in the spotlight. Here’s some of the highlights.

As with most models in the touring lineup, the CVO Road Glide has arrived on the scene in 2009 with a newly redesigned frame. This new backbone is more adept as providing a smooth ride even with the the 110 cubic-inch Screamin’ Eagle powerhouse settled in. New front fork and rear shocks also are integrated to add to the improved ride quality.

While the premium motor is nothing to shake a stick at, this CVO edition gets a number of other upgrades as well. Some of these include the “slammed’ front fender, the characteristic front fairing with custom paint, saddlebag extensions, matching rear fascia, and chrome 18″ “Blade” wheels. The custom paint shop produces these bikes in three color combinations only and the bike is shown here in Electric Orange/Vivid Black.
