I like to think I bring my sense of humour to our work environment – I have a song for every occasion! I really enjoy being part of the team here at H&H.

Sandra Bristol

Sandra trained in accounts after leaving school and worked for different accounting firms for 15 years before taking a break to have children and support on her family dairy farm. During this time, she oversaw the farm business accounts as well as completing book keeping work for local causes and charities.

Having sold the dairy farm, she has returned to what she loves and has worked for H & H since May 2018 as an Accounts Assistant. Sandra’s main role is preparing accounts and tax returns for clients, dealing with queries and corresponding with HMRC.

Terry Hort – FFA/FIPA & FTA

I’ve always been a keen cyclist but since joining the ‘1st Chard Wheelers Cycling Club’, I can now been found regularly touring the Somerset countryside on two wheels.

Terry Hort

Terry Hort is the Managing Director of H&H Accountants. He is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Financial Accountants (FFA) and also a Fellow Member of the Federation of Tax Advisors (FTA). Carrying out all work within the code of practice as laid down by his Institute.

He began his days training as an accountant in London W1 and shortly afterwards opened his own practice in Regent Street. They have still retained many of their founder clients which is an indicator of how they do business – looking after their client’s best interests and developing long term relationships.

The same is true for Terry’s team – some of whom have been with him for over 15 years. They feel it’s this dedication that helps them to offer stability and longevity of service to their client’s.

They have won the Best Micro Employer of the Year for the County of Somerset and were also nominated for Best Small Employer of the Year 2013 for the Southwest of England.

Kirsty Burton

Kirsty Burton

Kirsty has worked at H&H Accountants since August 2007.

She started off as a VAT book keeper, before progressing to Sole Trader and Partnership Accounts and Tax Returns, as well as assisting the Chartered Accountants with the preparation of the Limited Company accounts.

In October 2017 she took over her current role of Practice Manager, where she is in charge of the day to day running of the business and the administration side of things.

In her spare time, Kirsty enjoys watching and scoring for her husband’s cricket matches and occasionally she gets called in to play… although only when they are desperate as she is usually out for a duck!!

Kirsty has a love of Modern Jive Dancing and also likes to keep fit by walking her dog Rosie and doing Pilates.

Sarah Broom

I have worked for local Accountancy Practices gaining experience in different areas of Accountancy and Taxation, including working overseas travelling to Russia and Luxembourg.

Sarah Broom

Sarah is a Fellow member of the Chartered Certified Accountants and has worked in practice for 24 years. Her role within the firm is working as a part-time Accountant focusing mainly on H&H’s corporate clients.

Sonya Clark

I love taking part in murder mystery nights with friends and enjoy dressing up and getting into the character, they tend to be long nights but great fun.

Sonya Clark

Sonya Clark has worked at H&H Accountants since July 2015.

Her role is that of a VAT Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant but she also deals with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) monthly returns and other administrative duties.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends and has been blessed with three beautiful grandchildren.

She likes to keep fit so may be found swimming or cycling and she is a magnificent cook.
