Don't forget, we still have Wednesday night worship service this Wednesday the 22nd! The high schoolers will be at camp, but everyone who is still here, middle school and high school will meet at 6:30 p.m. as usual. Come and worship and pray for everyone who is at high school camp this week.

The weekend of August 14th & 15th is designed to help you get adjusted to the Middle School Ministry. We will show you how to sign up for events, what Refuge (our Wednesday night service) is like, and talk about what will be different in Middle School. We are also going to have an absolute blast! Parents can join us at the parent dinner on August13th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. to learn about what your students will be doing in the Middle School Ministry. Please RSVP to swheeler@hhbc.com if you plan on coming to the parent dinner.

Check-in starts at 5 p.m. on Friday, August 14th in the Middle School room and the event will be over at noon on Saturday the 15th.

This is always a great time together and an awesome chance for 8th graders to prepare for the high school student ministry. We're going to have a blast! Thursday July 9

3:30pm Check in at the Middle School Room

7:00-7:30 Arrive at First Baptist Church Grand Prairie Activity Center

 

Friday June 10

7:30am Spot @ FBC Grand Prairie

8:00am Leave for Breakfast

9:00am Head to Six Flags

5:00pm Pickup from Six Flags

6:00-6:30pm Dinner Stop

10:00-11:00pm Arrive at HHBC

What to Bring:

A sack dinner for Thursday

Clothes to play in at FBC Grand Prairie and Six Flags

Money for meals and snacks ($20-$30)

A pillow and bedroll/sleeping bag

Toothbrush, toothpaste and deodorant

We are sleeping on the floor and we will not be taking showers

The 8th grade girls got to enjoy a party with snacks and games after the concert. Sara Hollis, one of the 8th grade girls, won the party for her friends by bringing the most guests with her to camp!

In the morning worship service our summer intern, Tyler Smith, shared his testimony with the students. He did a wonderful job and a lot of the students could see how God has changed their lives in similar ways.

This afternoon actually bordered on chilly with all of the cloud cover and a breeze. The students din't notice because they were busy having fun and cheering in their rec games! We had a lot of fun today, and tonight we're looking forward to more competitions in a special party after the service.

During the service tonight Larry will present the gospel to our students, so please be in prayer that God will prepare their hearts and draw them to himself.

We have had relatively pleasant weather (except a couple of showers). The overcast sky has actually given us some nice shade for the rec games this afternoon!

Speaking of rec - the kids had a blast today! Everyone is pumped to find out where they are placed tonight!

Last night we had a rockin' black light party with dodgeball and dancing. We saw some great 80's outfits and some sweet dodgeball moves.

This morning Kelly Wehunt shared her testimony with all the kids in our morning worship session. She did a wonderful job and the kids were excited to hear what God has done in her life.

Tonight we get to hear Larry share more about God being in the details of our life. Pray that our student's hearts will be open.

After small groups, our late night party is going to be a great concert from The Timberline Hike! Last year this was a big hit with the students, and they are really looking forward to it again!
