Mentoring Coffee Is This Weekend!

Don't forget this Sunday is our mentoring coffee from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Rachel Sinclair's home (6700 Denham Circle). We will also have our kickoff Thursday, October 9th from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the church in W-104/105. You must be able to attend both coffee and kickoff to be placed in a mentoring relationship. Are you someone who would like to share in another woman's life or are you someone that needs encouragment from another Christian woman? Come and check out Woman to Woman Mentoring! Fall Bible Study Registration Begins This Weekend!

Registration for our fall studies begin this weekend! There will be several studies offered including Stormie Omartian’s Power of a Praying Woman, 2 Precept studies, Keepers of the Home and the newest from Priscilla Shirer – Can We Talk?. Join us this fall as we dig into God’s Word together. Childcare is available, but limited. Childcare deadline is August 17th. School Supply Drive Update

Hi ladies!
I wanted to send out a quick note to update you on the School Supply Drive. We currently have a lot of supplies coming in. But we need a whole lot more! Think about it...in order for us to help 1,000 kids, we need 1,000 backpacks, 1,000 bottles of glue, 4,000 pocket folders, 3,000 spiral notebooks and on and on. That's quite a big task!

We need your help. The deadline to donate supplies is Monday, August 4th. (Less than 2 weeks away) Below you will find a list of supplies that we're collecting and there are collection boxes at all of the Edmond Walmarts, Office Depot, Mardels, Transformation Fitness Center, and in the Henderson Hills Gathering. Exhale - Women's Mission Ministry Opportunities

Are you wondering how you can see God work through you to the Hispanic community in Edmond? Come to ESL training in September and start working with the adults and children on Monday nights this fall. Training dates are September 4th & 5th from 6:30-9:30 pm and September 6th from 9 am-5 pm at HHBC. Fourteen hours of training is required to be certified. Cost is $40 and the sign-up deadline is August 1st. Training consists of how to teach students and lesson planning. Instruction focuses on conversational English and pronunciation. There will be 3 classes available this fall: Beginners Class (Levels 1 & 2), Intermediate Class (Level 3) and Advanced Class (Level 4). Volunteers are needed. This training would also prepare you to be a part of the all-city Friendship International program hosted by Highland Park Baptist Church and supported by HHBC. Women's Ministry Changes

For the past 2 1/2 years, Lori Merrill has served faithfully on our staff as the Director of Women's Ministry. Recently Lori has felt called away from directing this ministry to focus on family and other opportunities. Beth McClain will serve as the Interim Director and is available for any questions or concerns. Please take some time to thank Lori for her service in women's ministry and to welcome Beth McClain.
