Ester Dean is adding more accolades to her résumé. The singer-songwriter was honored as BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year at the 60th Annual BMI Pop Awards at the Beverly Wilshire in Beverly Hills last night. The Oklahoma native, who has penned hits for Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, and Katy Perry, shared the award with Pitbull and producer Benny Blanco.

Dean contributed five songs to the year’s most performed list including “What’s My Name?,” “Rude Boy,” “S&M,” “Super Bass,” and “Firework,” which also scored BMI Pop Song of the Year honors.

She is putting the finishing touches on her Interscope Records debut and will appear in the comedy Pitch Perfect and lend her voice to the animated film Ice Age: Continental Drift.

Nicki Minaj touched down in Australia for the first date of her “Pink Friday” tour on Wednesday. The hip-hop queen kicked off the international trek at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion, giving her Aussie Barbz a first look at her neon wardrobe and dollhouse set.

“Omfg!!!!! Sydney, Australia was thee most amazing crowd ever tonite!!!!!! Thank u guys soooooo much!!!!!!!! Mmmuuuaaahhhh!!!!!” tweeted Nicki.

Despite wanting to be more guarded about her relationship with R&B star Kanye West, Kim Kardashian has admitted that he will appear on the show because she want to “show her life.”

Kardashian has revealed that West will appear on the new season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” because she wants to keep true to her viewers.

“I want to show my life,” Kardashian told E! News, although she said they wouldn’t be getting quite as intimate as her sister Khloe does with Lamar, on their own reality show.

“I’m not going to be taking a bubble bath and drinking champagne or on a sex swing [on camera] like Khloé and Lamar do,” Kardashian, 31, told E! News. “It’s not going to be like that.”

The reality star has only recently been linked to Kanye West although the couple had been romantically involved before. Kardashian suggested that the couple was taking it slow, and that the reality show would reflect that.

“My heart’s a little more guarded,” she said. “I showed so much of myself in the past,” Kardashian said admitting that her last episode with Kris Humphries was almost embarrassing.

However that doesn’t mean that Kanye West won’t ever appear on the cameras, at least some of their relationship will be revealed to the public.

“If we are having dinner and he does show up, I’m sure we’re not going to go, ‘Stop the cameras!’” Kardashian said.

Some however have questioned West’s decision to appear on the show. It was previously suggest that Lamar Odom’s career had suffered because of his reality appearances, and some believe West’s career will suffer as well.

“She wants to ‘show her life’. The question is, does any body want to see it? What is Kayne thinking?” LC asked on the CNN blog.

Others suggested that West didn’t really have a career to begin with.

“Kanye West is a wannabe wrapper. He’s famous for making a fool of himself at that music awards show back when he rudely (typical) interrupted the presentation. Before that I never heard of [that] fool. I don’t care if he’s on the show or not,” Joe Blow added.

Iggy Azalea announced that she had signed a deal with Interscope Records earlier this year, but it may have been premature. According to her Grand Hustle boss T.I., the Aussie rapper is still unsigned.

“Iggy is a free agent,” Tip told Bu Thiam, VP of A&R at Def Jam, on “MTV’s Hip Hop POV.”

The blonde bombshell had touted a deal with Interscope and a summer release for her debut album The New Classic. “Interscope, if you were wondering,” she tweeted in January. “Get used to me + jimmy [iovine] smashing shit, cause thats the plan.”

According to sources, a deal was never actually in place. However, she did release the T.I.-assisted “Murda Bizness,” which was billed as the lead single off the album.

The Hustle Gang member is currently in talks with other labels including Def Jam. Her EP Glory is due this month featuring collaborations with Mike Posner, B.o.B, and Big Sean.

Hip-hop queen Nicki Minaj finds herself a king in the romantic video for “Right By My Side,” the latest single off her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. The Harajuku Barbie heats up the screen with Nas, who plays her boyfriend. Chris Brown also cozies up to Nicki in the Benny Boom-directed clip.

“Its FuckTastic & Raw #noPauzNeeded,” Nicki told her Barbz.

The Roc was in the building at the star-studded U.K. premiere of Men in Black III in London on Wednesday. The film’s star Will Smith met up with his pal and business partner Jay-Z, who was in town for the kickoff of the European “Watch the Throne” tour. Will’s co-star Nicole Scherzinger arrived with boyfriend Lewis Hamilton on her arm. The former Pussycat Doll makes her big screen debut in the sci-fi flick, which opens in U.S. theaters on May 25.

2 Chainz goes in for the kill in the video for “Murder,” his killer collaboration with Kreayshawn off last year’s mixtape T.R.U. REALigion. The murderous MCs link up in a haunted house in the gory visuals, directed by Alex Nazari. The Def Jam rapper sneaks up on his partner as she cooks in the kitchen, preparing a meal of bloody meat.

“We’re doing all kinda of crazy things like eating people, killing people,” explained Kreayshawn, who has collaborated with 2 Chainz on “Breakfast,” the new single off her debut album Somethin’ Bout Kreay.
