December was not the greatest month for listings but it does seem to be the same every year. We now have 1,207 listings world wide of which 971 are home exchange listings and 236 rental listings we were hoping to have 1,000 home exchange listings by the end of the year but were 29 short.
The website will still remain Free until we have well over 1,000 home exchange listings which we should easily achieve by the end of 2012, if you have not listed yet I would give it a try while it is still free you never no you may well love this type of vacation. Enjoy hope you have a great 2012.

We now have 1,156 listings world wide of which 925 are home exchange listings and 231 rental listings by the end of the year we anticipate we will have approximately 1,275 with the current listing rate. This has been achieved without google ads, but once we have paying members we will promote the website using google ads as well, which should add around 1,000 listings per year using current advertising methods and google ads.
All listings are currently Free and will remain so until the end of December 2012 by which time we hope to have between 1500-1600 listings in total, home exchange is a great way to travel and saves you a lot of money on your accommodation costs and in some cases car hire costs. So this is a great opportunity to try this type of vacation with no upfront membership fees to pay.

We now have 1,138 listings world wide of which 910 are home exchange listings and 228 rental listings we hope to have close to 1,300 listings by the end of 2011 and 1,600 listing by the end of 2012. Once we have paying members we will be improving the website and using google ads to increase our membership, we have trialed google ads and found that you could increase listings by about 75 new listings a month so we should be able to increase the listings by 1,000 new listings a year.

Late in making a new post due to gaining access to blogger, the total number of listings world wide is 1,105 of which 885 are home exchange listings and 220 rental listings the website will remain Free until December 2012 this has been achieved with out google ads.
Once we have paying members we will be using google ads to promote the website, we have trialed google ads and this should increase our new listings to about 1,000 new listings a year.

The trend has continued so far this year with around 25 sign up,s per month we now have 1,072 listings world wide of which 860 are home exchange listings and 212 rental listings so we should be close to 1,300 listings by the end of the year. We have tested out the effects google ads would have on our sign up rate and it is pretty impressive but still very expensive roughly for every £100 spent we got 5 sign up,s but it would increase our sign up,s to 100 a month giving you well over 1,000 a year.

once we do have paying members we will be using google ads and improving the website for the members
and increasing our membership by around 1,000 members per year. Meanwhile do enjoy our website

An excellent start to 2011 we now have 1,046 listings in total of which 842 are home exchange listings and 204 rental listings world wide, the cost of listing on home exchange websites has increased considerably in the last few years with companies charging £100-£200 a year listing fee.
We are still keeping our website FREE until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings world wide, we believe that this gives the individual a chance of trying this type of vacation before having to pay for a service they might not like,I am sure in most cases they will but it does give you the option of try before you buy which we think is a great concept.
We do expect the website to remain Free until December 2012 just to ensure we have well over 1,000 listings, even when we do charge a years listing will only cost $40 US, which is great value for money less than $1/week. The New Year has started well we now have 1,022 listings World Wide of which 820 are home exchange listings and 202 rental listings. The website we anticipate will remain Free until December 2012 when we should have close to 1,600 total listings World Wide.

Once again a New Year is upon us, I hope everybody had a great Christmas and New Year, we did just break the 1,000 listings barrier but only just, we now have 1001 listing in total of which 803 are home exchange listings and 198 are rental listings, but we did make the total we were hoping for.

We now have 992 listings world wide of which 795 are home exchange listings and 197 rental property listings so we are still on target to get 1,000 overall listings by the end of the year, this has been achieved

by sending mainly un-targeted traffic to the website and some targeted traffic from search engines and our blogs also some directories, we have not used expensive google ads to achieve any of our listings so it proves it is possible to promote your website without using the google ads network.

We now have exactly 950 listings world wide of which 766 are home exchange listings and 184 are vacation rental listings both the Simply Home Exchange website and our blog are ranked highly on google search engines which is getting us free organic traffic but the bulk is purchased un-targeted traffic.

The total number of visitors to our website so far this year is 355,608 of which most is un-targeted traffic we have had 211 new listings so far this year we are hoping to achieve 1,000 listings by the end of the year, the website will still remain Free until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings which we hope to achieve by December 2012.

We have also added to this blog a couple of our own home exchange trips arranged through Simply Home Exchange our savings on accommodation costs for both trips was about £1,600, so home exchange is a great way to save money on your vacations especially in the current economic climate, so give it a try and see what you think it is still Free to join.

We now have 935 listings world wide of which 753 are home exchange listings and 182 are rental listing. I am very surprised we have achieved this as we have greatly reduced the traffic we have been sending to the website.
So since the 2nd of August we have actually had another 19 listings considering we have reduced our traffic by 75% that is rather amazing. Even with only 753 home exchange listings we have received 4 exchange requests so far this year 1 from Turkey, 1 from South Africa, 1 from Morocco and 1 from Tunisia.
We actually did exchange for a 1 week Turkey trip to Fethiye, which was great and saved £450 in accommodation costs even better.
So if you have not already listed do try it out all listings are Free until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings, we are still on track to get over 1,000 listings by the end of the year even with the reduction in traffic
so it is possible to get traffic without expensive google ads.

We now have 916 listings of which 740 are home exchange listings and 176 rental listings, we have reduced the amount of traffic being sent to the website to reduce our overhead costs so I am not to unhappy with these results, we still hope to achieve 1,000 total listings by the end of the year.
Even with the only 740 listings we have had 1 home exchange to Fethiye in Turkey and another exchange request for South Africa this year, so it proves this does work. Since we listed in 2007 we have had 10 exchange requests from all over the world these are just a few of the countries Turkey, Italy, USA, South Africa and Australia.
The website will still remain free until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings which will probably be 2012, so you can try this type of holiday free before paying any fees just to see if it is for you. So if you have not already listed give it a try it will not cost you anything to list and you may enjoy yourself . It is a very cheap way to travel enjoy.

the number of visitors to the website so far this year is 308,883 so we should get over 600,000 visitors by the end of the year, most of this is un- targeted traffic but it is very cheap compared to google ads.

We now have 897 listings world wide of which 722 are home exchange listings, I was hoping we could reach 900 listings by the end of May but we were not far short of this target.

We have had 275,693 visitors to the website so far this year, much of this was un-targeted traffic but it is still a lot cheaper than google ads, but it is a far cheaper solution if you are on a very tight budget.

We are still expecting to get over 1,000 total listings by the end of the year, the website will still remain free until we get over 1,000 home exchange listings so do enjoy it.

We now have a total of 875 listings world wide, 704 home exchange listings and 171 rental listings, our website www.simplyhomeexchange has now been on line for 3 years as of today.
So far this year we have had 128 new listings in the last 4 months hopefully this trend will continue till the end of the year, if it does we could well achieve over 1,000 total listings by the end of year.

Slight error in my last post we do have 870 listings
world wide but the listing breakdown is as follows
we now have 700 home exchange listings and 170 rental listings these are the correct figures.

We have reached the 700 mark for home exchange listings which I am very pleased about, considering

Simply Home Exchange will have been online for 3 Years at the end of April 2010, the website was launched on the 1st of May 2007. In that time we have had 2,289,301 visitors to the website, most of this traffic was not targeted traffic so the sign up rate is far less than targeted traffic.
To date we have 870 listings , 691 Home Exchange listings and 189 Rental listings from over 3o Countries world wide. The website will remain Free until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings, enjoy.

we have decided that it would be a very good idea to have one and will help promote the Simply Home Exchange website.
We are actually trying face book ads to see what type of response we get, the cost of face book ads is a fraction of the cost of google ads we will just see if or what effect it has on our sign up rate.
We are still sending traffic to the website as well as
search engine and directory traffic, so far this year we have had 136,000 unique visitors to the website but the majority of this is un- targeted traffic and had 99 new listings we should be able to get over a 100 new listings
by the end of March 2010 if that trend continued we could have around 1,150 listings by the end of the year.

Update on Number of Visitors to Simply Home Exchange Website

Since the launch of our website www.simplyhomeexchange.com in May 2007 we have had 2,249,284 visitors to the website, the total number of unique visitors is 1,802,391 as some visitors have returned more than once.
Of these 19,857 have visited the website over 200
times and 10,963 have been visiting for 1 year or
more, which I must admit I do find strange that more of these people have not listed ?

We now have 680 home exchange listings and 163
rental listings, this has been achieved with search engine traffic and non targeted purchased traffic
not bad considering we have not used google ads
mainly because of costs.
We are currently ranking no 2 on google for the search terms home exchange and holiday home exchange, which is excellent considering the competition, we are also ranking no 3 for free home exchange but our blog is also ranking no 1 for this search term which is great.
The website is still free and will remain so until we have over 1,000 home exchange listings.
If we do buy the property management business in Turkey, we will add all of their rental properties which will increase the rental listings total to 341 which will increase our total listings to well over a 1,000 listings.
Looks like it could be a great year for use hope every one else is having a good one too.
