Palghar to get primary health centres to fight malnutrition

what happened: The Maharashtra government will start nine primary health centres, five nutrition centres in Palghar
what it means: State health minister Dr Deepak Sawant made the announcement after visiting the district that has remained in the headlines for the high number of child malnutrition deaths.
what next: Last year, more than 300 deaths were registered in the district alone due to malnutrition.

what happened: Transport department of Maharashtra has begun crackdown on unauthorised agents and touts at RTOs.
what it means: Transport commissioner has directed all the RTOs to file police complaint against the agents and touts, fleecing people by charging excess fees. Vigilance department asked to conduct surprise checks.
what next: The department already filed police complaint against one agent at Tardeo RTO.

Chelsea agree deal for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata

what happened: Chelsea have reached an agreement to buy Spanish striker Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
what it means: The 24-year old, who played for Real Madrid and Juventus, will become the club record signing for Chelsea. He will replace Diego Costa who is on his way to Atletico Madrid.

what happened: India lost 0-2 to Syria in their opening match at the 2018 AFC U-23 Championship qualifying
what it means: Rabie Srour gave Syria the lead in the 64th minute despite a resolute defensive performance from India prior to the goal. Fares Arnaout then sealed the deal for Syria with an 88th minute goal.
