When it comes to the American market, the Taiwan-based HTC is not having the easiest of times remaining in the minds of consumers. The East Coast research and development office that resided in Durham, North Carolina recently closed completely last month, leaving the North American headquarters remaining in Washington state. There has been some talk going around into what HTC is planning on doing to make up for the current slump going on, with an article in EWeek discussing how they might start attempting to rebrand themselves in the tough markets.

One of the main moves is start focusing more on Windows 8. If you're worried about HTC and Android experiencing a possible breakup, there's no need for that. The article had a quote by Jason Mackenzie, who is the president of sales and marketing over at HTC who explained that while the company is going to be utilizing Windows 8 more in their phones while also keeping Android in the loop as well. There is no plan that will lessen the influence of Android, but the move is critical if the company wants to stay in the game at all.

If someone you know has seen your HTC Wildfire S Smartphone and thought "You're so lucky, that clock looks awesome!" or you've installed a custom ROM for your smartphone which doesn't support HTC Sense, you're in luck. Now you can tell your friends how to get the HTC Sense clock without a htc phone or a HTC ROM, all you need is an android smartphone.

To get the HTC Sense Clock, all you need to do is launch the Google play store and then type in "Fancy Widgets." Once you've downloaded and installed it, it's pretty easy to add it to the home screen. Check that the widget is installed on the phone memory and not on your SD Card. Is Samsung Galaxy III the best Android phone EVER?

Given that the Samsung Galaxy S II was the best Android phone until recently, it seems only like natural progression that the S III will top it – an advancement to the S III in every way. Designed for humans butmaybe not for all humans considering it is so expensive, the S III holds the latest version of Android
Ice Cream Sandwich (enviable in its own way), has a screen to die for at 4.8 inches, and so many new
features it even puts the Apple phones to shame. But here we examine whether the massive numbers
of pre orders that came through for this wonder phone really justify it, and whether in fact it is the best
Android phone.

To begin with, let’s talk about operating system. The fact that it hosts the Ice Cream sandwich will not
impress those who have been waiting for the Jellybean, but there is a Jellybean in the offing, which
Samsung has not overlooked. The interface however is very impressive – with the 1.4 quad core Exynos
processor. It is faster than any other interface so far and there is no screen freeze which you would
normally experience in even other powerful Android phones like the HTC One X. Again, comparing with
the HTC’s Sense that had a nifty feature allowing you to access some apps like Camera into a ring to
use without unlocking, the Galaxy SIII emulates the competition by allowing features to be accessed
from the lock screen too. The lock screen in itself has undergone a lot of change – it has become more
interactive. When you unlock it, you will see a water droplet shimmering on the screen.

Where the Galaxy could have really shown itself above other androids though is in the voice recognition
technology, and it is sad that this has been left to deal with itself. The S voice turns out to be more
burdensome than helpful, because speech recognition is slower than anticipated. If all you want to do is
set an alarm or a timer, it will work fine; however if you are looking to browse the web, you’re better off
doing so manually.

In terms of the camera however, Samsung has made a surprising move. While you would expect ,more
than the S2 on the S3, the Galaxy S3 still has an 8 MP camera. What is does have instead that other
Androids would view for are a whole lot of camera features, such as the burst mode, the Face Zoom and
most to our liking the ability to recognize faces and tagging them if you like. It can then send the picture
via email to the people who are tagged.

One of the nicest things about the Galaxy S3 is its ability to ensure it is not draining too much battery.
The 2100mAh battery supports the large screen fantastically, and in fact measures up against the iPhone
and other Androids both of Samsung (S2), and HTC pretty well. As a connectivity tool as well, the phone
features a USB to Go, a very useful addition so you can connect a USB stick to the phone using a cable.
With all these new and useful features it is easy to see why the S3 is being touted as the next best thing
in Android, and now it is up to other phones to see if they can up the ante.

Jellybean’s upgraded keyboard - is it available for ICS?

Android 4.1 nicknamed Jelly Bean is the latest version of the popular mobile operating system. It was
announced with great fanfare at the recently concluded Google I/O 2012 conference in San Francisco.
The OS was showcased on the Nexus 7 mini tablet and garnered rave reviews. One of the features that
didn’t receive too much during the conference is the addition of an upgraded keyboard for the device.
At first glance, the new keyboard seems very similar to the one available on Ice Cream Sandwich. The
difference becomes apparent only when you start typing. Google has included a predictive algorithm for
the English language in its factory keyboard itself. It makes typing a breeze. It has an built-in mechanism
that suggests phrases that you commonly use while typing. What is impressive is that the algorithm is
capable of “learning” your patterns and thus makes typing easier. In a string of words, the centre word
option can be toggled by a long press to replace the word with one that you prefer using a multi word
matrix.

If you are interested in using this functionality on your Ice Cream Sandwich phone, do not despair. There
are a number of ways you can do so. Install the Swype app from the Google Play store to use a keyboard
that offers the similar functionality as Jelly Bean. SwiftKey is an even better app that serves the same

Everyone knows that the HTC Wildfire S internal phone memory sucks. Luckily, there's now a mod that gives you 500MB to 2GB of Internal memory for your HTC Wildfire S!

Yes, you can finally get rid of the annoying low internal memory pop up notifications and install as many apps as you want. This new modification from pickoniznik will finally give you the sufficient internal memory. This modification basically tricks your phone into thinking the SD Card is part of the internal memory, which makes apps like Google Play be able to install massive games and applications.

To get your internal memory, what you will require is: a HTC Wildfire S (obviously), an SD Card in your phone, a rooted HTC Wildfire S and Clockwork Recovery Mod installed.

Once you have that out the way, you can view the thread here "[TUTORIAL]500MB-2GB Internal Storage" all you have to do is follow the instructions on that thread. You partition your SD Card, then install the mod. Be sure to thank him by posting on the thread!

Currently, this mod has been tested working on cm 7.2 and the hense mod 4 ROM. However, backup your ROM first, then check if it works on your ROM! Be sure to post in the comments below and thread if it works for your ROM!

How to backup your HTC Wildfire S using Clockwork Recovery

Backing up your HTC Wildfire S' ROM is important in case something bad happens. For example, you could accidentally remove a system app, accidentally install a virus or mess up installing a new ROM. Luckily, backing up your HTC Wildfire S is pretty simple.

First of all, make sure you install the clockwork recovery mod. You cannot backup your ROM without it.
Once you have installed the clockwork recovery mod, go to Settings > Power and Uncheck fastboot.

Now turn off your phone and remove the battery for 5 seconds. Re-insert the battery. Once you have followed these steps, hold the power button and the volume down button at the same time. This will bring up a white menu. Using the volume buttons, go down to recovery and press the power button on your phone to select it.

It will now load Clockwork recovery mod. Once it has loaded, using the volume buttons highlight "backup and restore." Select it using the power button. Now select backup using the power button.

Your HTC Wildfire S is now backed up! To restore from the backup, select restore instead of backup.
