Our Viprati pipe event was very well attended.  In fact the event was AWESOME!  Special thanks to Luigi and Maurizio for a great evening.  Also. kudos to Joey G for help with the translating.  Your parents would be proud.

Cigar Joke

Two monks from different monasteries were old friends who shared a great fondness for cigars. Once each year when they had a chance to visit, they would pray together and, of course, light up.

Eventually, however, they became concerned that there might be some sin in their habit and they each resolved to ask their respective superiors for guidance.

When they met again, one was puffing away.

“But the head of my monastery told me it was a sin,” protested the other.

“What did you ask him?” said the first.

“I asked him if it was all right to smoke during evening prayer and he said, ‘No.’”

“Well,” said his friend as he blew a perfect smoke ring into the air, “I asked my superior if it was alright to pray during our evening smoke and he said it was just fine!”

Speaking of tobacco, after I am done with this email, I am going to smoke an Illusione 68 (perfect size 4 x 44) and watch my 12 year old lab frollick through the snow.  Then I will be enjoying some red wine (hey, I’m on a health kick).

International Pipe Smoking Day was a huge success!  I was very proud of the attendance.  It really is wonderful that our customers support us so.  At next month’s pipe club meeting we have a special guest, pipe maker Luigi Viprati!

This week we were visited by our Dunhill representative and he was blown away by our new store!  We are looking forward to a Dunhill pipe trunk show in the upcoming months!
