Running Anti-Malware Programs

Run AdwCleaner. AdwCleaner is a free program that will target any malware installed into your browser. It should only be downloaded from the developer's website to ensure that you don't download a fake program.

AdwCleaner is a small program, and doesn't need to be installed in order to run.
Close any browser windows before running AdwCleaner.
Run the scan. This may take several minutes to complete.
Check the report. Once the scan is complete, you will be shown a report of all the programs and registry entries that will be removed. If you don't see anything on it you need to keep, click the "Delete" button.
Reboot your computer.

  Run Malwarebyte Anti-Malware. This is another free program that will scan your computer and remove malware. It is important to run multiple programs, as none of them are perfect. Unlike AdwCleaner, Anti-Malware will need to be installed before you can run it. Only download this program directly from the developers, do NOT download it from sites such as Download.com or Softpedia.
  - Scan your computer. This scan can take several minutes. You don't necessarily need to run the full scan.
  - Remove any results. Make sure all the results that appear are checked, and then click the "Remove Selected" button to delete them.

  Run HitmanPro. HitmanPro is another free anti-malware program that you can use to scan your computer. Install it and select "Activate free license" during the installation process.
  - Scan your computer. Remove any files that appear in the results.
While the previous steps should be enough to clear Conduit off of your system, you may still have a lingering registry key or two, which can become troublesome. Follow these steps to remove them.

  Open the Registry Editor. You can open the Registry Editor by pressing⊞ Win+R and typing regedit. Be careful when using the Registry Editor, as changing the wrong thing can disrupt your copy of Windows.

  Search for the registry entries related to Conduit. There will be a variety of registry keys that you will need to find. Use the directory in the left pane to navigate to each of the following keys:

  Delete each entry. Right-click on each entry to delete it. Once you are finished deleting each entry, reset your computer to finish the process. Once Windows resets, Conduit should be completely gone.

India set to deliver first defence export order, a warship to Mauritius

India will export its first defence equipment, a warship to Mauritius, in December.

The off-shore patrol vessel developed by the State-owned Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE), is currently undergoing sea trials.

The warship, christened CGS Barracuda, will be handed over to the Mauritius coast guard, and is expected to cost $50 million (or Rs. 300 crore under current exchange rates).

According to AK Verma, Chairman and Managing Director, GRSE, the defence public sector utility is also looking at exploring the export scenario. Preliminary discussions have begun with several countries in Africa, the Far East and Latin America.

“Our first export order, a warship, will be delivered to Mauritius by December this year. We are also looking to tap the export segment in the coming days. Preliminary discussions have begun with some countries,” he said. Verma was speaking on the sidelines of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-organised seminar on Defence-Industry Linkage.

Kolkata-based GRSE is a mini-ratna PSU functioning under the Ministry of Defence. It reported a turnover of Rs. 1,600 crore for FY-14 and is looking at a “little increase” in revenues this year.

Order-book size ::
Meanwhile, the company has received 16 orders amounting to Rs. 10,000 crore from the Navy. The orders are expected to be completed over the next few years.

According to Verma, the order-book includes four anti-submarine warfare ships, eight landing craft utility ships, and four first-attack crafts.

Of these, one anti-submarine warfare ship was delivered to the Navy earlier this year, while the second one is expected around June–August in 2015. The ships have as high as 90 per cent indigenisation, he said.

Deliveries of the landing craft utility ships and first-attack crafts are expected to begin from the “middle of next year”.

“We are hopeful of an increase in orders from the Centre in the coming days,” Verma said.

Russia expresses interest in aircraft production in India

NEW DELHI: Russia has expressed interest in production of civil and light transport aircraft in India with their technology, Parliament was informed on Friday.

The Indian government has welcomed the Russian interest and is committed to enhancing bilateral investment and trade cooperation, commerce and industry minister Nirmala Sitharaman said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

"The Russian side expressed their interest in production of civil aircraft, light transport aircraft and helicopter in India with Russian technology," she said.

The eighth session of the Indian-Russia Forum on trade and investment was held here on November 5.

Replying to a separate question on coffee industry, she said that stem borer pest is amongst major constraints affecting cultivation of Arabica variety of coffee.

"The combined effects of higher temperatures, reduction of shade for increasing the yield of pepper grown as intercrop and lack of timely control measures by the growers have led to increase in the incidence of the pest," she said.

About 3,200 hectares of productive area in Karnatka are reported to have been affected by stem borer due to long dry spell from November 2013 to May 2014 and resultant high temperatures.

She added that several steps have been initiated to address the problem of pest in coffee cultivation.

"The government has approved a two year action plan (2014-15 and 2015-16) for combating the stem borer in affected areas," the minister said.

Indian Light Copter Bid Extended 7 Times, Could Exasperated Airbus Eject?

Two days after India's new government took office on May 26, Airbus Helicopters(formerly Eurocopter) wrote the latest in a string of exasperated letters to the head of the Indian MoD's acquisition wing. The letter, like every one of those before it, nearly pleaded for an early decision in India's light helicopter competition that has remained more or less adrift for six years since bids were first submitted.

The competition for 197 light reconnaissance and surveillance helicopters (RSH) -- 133 for the Army and 64 for the IAF -- began in July 2008. Airbus' letter last month is only the latest instalment of what has for a while been a painfully protracted graveyard spiral. The letter devotes a paragraph to grave support issues vexing the Cheetah/Chetak fleet of light choppers in service with the IAF and Army at high altitudes (this newspaper report two daysafter Airbus' letter draws attention to precisely that), where the new choppers are intended as replacements. Last year, the deal was singed by investigations into India's now infamous AgustaWestland VVIP copter deal. It was an ambiguous mess until the two companies -- the other RusHeliCo for the Ka-226T Sergei -- were told around Christmas last year that things would move forward.

Airbus sources says the company's commercial bid, first submitted in December 2008, has been extended a record seven times. Reluctant to extend the bid for the seventh time last year, the company was told by the MoD that there was 'positive movement' and persuaded to extend the validity of its bid for the AS 550 C3 Fennec by six months. That bid expires at the end of the month we're in. Again, no breaths held.

Save A List of Files to a Text File by Extension

dir *.ext /s /b > files.txt

This command line will create a file called files.txt. When you open this file, there will be a complete list of all the files in that directory and all subdirectories with the .extextension. You can then open up this text file in any text editor and work this the information.By changing the ext part, you can select different files. Get Installed Driver Information

Copy Files Via Infrared Port

This will fire up the Wireless Link dialog so that you can copy the specified file via an infrared port.

Find Files Opened By Network Users

openfiles /query

If you are running a system and you want to know who has files open on your computer, this command will provide you a list of those users and the files that they have open.

Note: If you get an error saying The system global flag ‘maintain objects list’ needs to be enabled to see local opened files, you can fix this issue by typing openfiles /local on. You will have to reboot the system but it will resolve the issue.

Monitor Port Activity

netstat -a 30

This will show you all of the TCP/IP ports that are being used on your system and what they are connecting to (or being connected from). It will continue to monitor these ports and refresh the information every 30 seconds. You can change the refresh rate by changing the number at the end of the command.

Recover Information From A Corrupt File

If you have a disk with damaged sectors, you can attempt to recover as much information as possible from the damaged file. Data that is not damaged can be retrieved but data in damaged sectors will be lost.

Defragment Remote Computer

This command used the rexec command to force a defragment of the C: drive on the computer named remotePC. You can use whatever you want to for the command (I just used defrag C: /F as an example). This is very useful for remote maintenance.

Automatically Defragment C: Daily

This will set your computer to automatically perform a complete defrag of the C: drive each day at 11:00:00 PM (23:00:00). It does this by creating a scheduled task calledDefrag C. It will run this command under the computer’s system account.

Map A Drive Letter to a Folder

subst W: C:windows

Sometimes, your directory structure can get pretty deep and complicated. You can simplify this a bit by mapping a drive letter to commonly used folders. In the example that I have given, this will create a drive letter W: and map it to the C:windows directory. Then, whenever you go into My Computer, you will see a W: drive and when you browse to it, it will automatically take you to the contents of the C:windows folder.

You can do this with any unused drive letter and any folder that exists on your system.

List All Tasks Running On The Computer

tasklist

It’s always good to know what is running on your system. This is the command line version of the processes tab in Taks Manager.

Kill A Program

taskkill /im programname.exe /f

If, when using the tasklist command, you discover that there is something running you just want killed. This is the way to do it! Just note the program name and use it in place of programname.exe.

Reboot a Remote Computer

shutdown -r -f -m remotePC -c "System will be rebooted in 20 seconds"

Sometimes, you just need to reboot a system. This will do it remotely and give the user a 20 second warning.

The framework for this agreement was a Joint Statement by Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and U.S. President George Bush, under which India agreed to separate its civil and military nuclear facilities and place its civil facilities under IAEA safeguards and, in exchange, the United States agreed to work toward full civil nucleear cooperation with India.Reason for taking Nuclear deal Signatories to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) are granted access to civilian nuclear technology from each other as well as nuclear fuel via the Nuclear Suppliers Group in exchange for International Atomic Energy Agency-verified compliance of the NPT tenets. India, Israel, and Pakistan, however, have not signed the NPT, arguing that instead of addressing the central objective of universal and comprehensive non-proliferation, the treaty creates a club of “nuclear haves” and a larger group of “nuclear have-nots” by restricting the legal possession of nuclear weapons to those states that tested them before 1967, who alone are free to possess and multiply their nuclear stockpiles.India insists on a comprehensive action plan for a nuclear-free world within a specific time-frame and has also adopted a voluntary “no first use policy”.
In response to a growing Chinese nuclear arsenal, India conducted a nuclear test in 1974 (called “peaceful nuclear explosion” and explicitly not for “offensive” first strike military purposes but which could be used as a “peaceful deterrence”). Led by the US, other nations set up an informal group, the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG), to control exports of nuclear materials, equipment and technology. As a result, India was relegated to a pariah status within the international nuclear order. India conducted 5 more nuclear tests in May, 1998 at Pokhran.What is 123 Agreement?This is called 123 Agreement because this comes under USA’s Atomic Power Act Section 123.Let’s see how India’s (Indians?) Sovereinty & Independence are pledged…(1) After this Agreement USA will supply all fuel, machinery / equipment & technology to India for producing Nuclear Power.(2) All these days from about 22 Nuclear Power Plants, India is producing power as well as Atom. It’s a high security / secret that from where which is produced, how much is produced, where it is supplied, what research is being done with that, etc. to anybody. But if we sign this Agreement, we have to disclose these secrets and also agree to 14 of our Nuclear Power Plants to be under the scanner of International Atomic Power Organisation.
(3) The fuel utilised to produce Atomic Power can be recycled for reuseand this plant will be under direct supervision of IAPO.If India does nuclear test, this agreement gets cancelled. But(1) USA will take back all the machinery / equipments / technology supplied to India thus far.
(2) Those 14 plants will continue to be under scanner irrespective of the status of the agreement.On the other hand, if any of the commitments given by USA is breached by them, then there is no clause for cancelling this agreement.
Why this aggrement is facing opposition in india?Although many mainstream political parties including the Indian National Congress support the deal along with regional parties like Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam and Rashtriya Janata Dal its realisation has run into difficulties in the face of stiff political opposition in India. Also, in November 2007, former Indian Military chiefs, bureaucrats and scientists drafted a letter to Members of Parliament expressing their support for the deal. However, opposition and criticism continued at political levels. The Samajwadi Party (SP) which was with the Left Front in opposing the deal changed its stand after discussing with ex-president of India and nuclear scientist Dr A P J Abdul Kalam. Now SP is in support of the government and the deal. Indian Government survived a vote of confidence by 275-256 after communists withdrew their support to the government over this dispute.Bharatiya Janata PartyThe main opposition party BJP which laid the groundwork for the deal criticized the deal saying that the deal in its present form was unacceptable to BJP and wanted the deal renegotiated. The BJP the current main opposition party in the Indian parliament has asked the government not to accept the deal without a vote in the parliament. However, the government remained steadfast on its commitment to the deal and has refused to back down on the agreement, leading to the possibility of mid-term elections in India. 81 year old veteran BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani, in a statement to the Indian Express newspaper, seemed to indicate willingness to support the government provided some legislative measures.However his party refused to follow that line and stuck to its earlier stand.
Left FrontThe primary opposition to the Nuclear deal in India, however, comes from the Communist Party of India (Marxist) and its parliamentary allies (CPI, RSP, AIFB) November 17 the left parties had provisionally agreed to let the government initiate talks with the IAEA for India specific safeguards which indicated that they may support.The CPI(M), an external parliamentary supporter of government as it stipulates conditions that in some areas are more severe than the clauses in either the NPT or the CTBT. The left front formally removed the support to UPA-led government on July 8.OthersIn 2006, some Indian ex-nuclear scientists had written an appeal to Indian Members of Parliament to ensure that “decisions taken today do not inhibit India’s future ability to develop and pursue nuclear technologies for the benefit of the nation”. United Nationalist Progressive Alliance (UNPA)The UNPA was divided over support of the nuclear deal. While the SP supported it after consultations with Abdul Kalam, the other members of the UNPA led by the TDP opposed it saying that the deal is against India’s interest. The SP was eventually suspended from the UNPA.
Bahujan Samaj PartyThe BSP also opposed the nuclear deal, saying that it was anti-muslim. The party joined hands with the Left Front and the TDP in voting against the government in Parliament on the nuclear deal. The IAEA approvalThe IAEA Board of Governors approved the safeguards agreement on August 1st 2008, and now the 45-nation Nuclear Suppliers Group must approve a policy allowing nuclear cooperation with India before President Bush can make the necessary certifications and seek final approval by the U.S. Congress. There were objections from Iran, Ireland, Norway, Switzerland and Austria at the IAEA meeting

Naval Aviation on the fulcrum of change after 60 years

INDIAN NAVAL AVIATION ON THE FULCRUM OF CHANGE

Indian Naval Aviation completed 60 years on 11 May 2013. The first MiG-29K squadron, INAS 303 ’Black Panthers’ was formally commissioned into the Indian Navy on that day even as the delivery of the new carrier, the INS Vikramaditya is now delayed to the end of 2013. If all goes to plan, then the carrier should be in Indian waters by early 2014 and its airgroup can begin integration with the ship, the fleet and undergo their Deck Landing Qualifications in the process.

The Indian navy (IN) has embarked on an ambitious plan to have 3 aircraft carriers. The next two known as IAC-1 and IAC-2 are indigenous developments but both projects are running behind schedule. While IAC-1 is being built in Cochin Shipyard with a planned launch in August 2013 and possible delivery by 2018, the IAC-2 design has not yet been frozen on account of its preferred configuration – CATOBAR or the low risk STOBAR like the Vikramaditya and IAC-1. There is talk that US help may be sought for catapults for the IAC-2.

The Light Combat Aircraft Navy (Tejas) prototype has started flying ,but a definite schedule and configuration for the aircraft is still pending. Even as the underpowered and overweight Mk 1 variant is being refined ahead of further flight tests, the Navy is waiting for the definitive Mk 2 variant which won’t be ready until 2017-2018.

The existing Sea Harriers with the LUSH upgrade are expected to serve till 2017 with INAS 300 ‘White Tigers‘ and INAS 552 ‘Braves‘, by which time the MiG-29Ks should be fully integrated with the Fleet.

Still, the Navy , while confronting budgetary pulls and pressures, indifference and apathy at the decision making levels is right to look ahead at its carrier acquisitions with a mixture of hope and apprehension.

The fleet air arm is operating well over 200 aircraft today. It is expected to double its fleet size as per the 14th plan. This will make it larger than many regional Air Forces.

Numbering some 10300 personnel including 1300 officers, the fleet air arm will require exponential and balanced growth in its Human Resources and support organizations.
As new inductions and upgrades increase, there is a dearth of naval Test Pilots and Flight Test Engineers. Aircrew Examiners, Qualified Flying Instructors and Observers will be required in greater numbers.

Senior officers have realized that a permanent cadre of officers is an imperative in the Air Arm .This is because of the shortage of available candidates as the Navy is growing overall. Plus, the skills demanded of pilots and observers are very perishable and a long term plan will benefit the Navy.

Naval Headquarters is evaluating cadre management, career planning and progression policies. Some new decisions are awaited soon.

The Navy may also soon have a Flag Officer (Naval Air Maintenance) or an ACNS (Air Maintenance) along the lines of the Indian Air Force’s Air Officer Commanding in Chief(Maintenance Command).This is a much needed recognition of the enormous and extraordinary contributions that the officers and men of these branches have made to the service.

The Navy now has 14 female officers as Observers/Airborne Tacticians across its fixed wing aircraft. They are posted to the Dornier-228 , IL-38SD and Tu-142 fleets. Like their male counterparts, the female officers fly 10 plus hour long missions while posted to the ‘big birds’ of the IN. They are being made trained for cross-functional postings and there is one female officer undergoing the Boeing P-8I conversion as well. The policy for them will be continued postings in their specialization as they cannot be sent for sea time. This is a wonderful Tiara in Naval Aviation’s Diamond Jubilee.

Other induction concerns have been the delay in the Multi Role Helicopter procurement.

Also, the Navy wants MALE,HALE UAVs ,Amphibious aircraft , MRMR and LRMR aircraft to add to its fleet.

To enhance fleet air defences, the LR-SAM is also a must have on the Fleet Commander’s wishlist considering the proliferation of aircraft among the nations of the region.

The Tupolevs may get a further life extension as they bring unique capabilities to the arsenal and the Navy will like to retain that capability. So, contrary to some reports, the type will serve for at least another five years, if not longer.

The Navy is striving to standardize its ASW mission and sensor suites and sonobuoys across the fleet of MPA. It is also operationalizing a high speed tactical datalink for better situational awareness across different units.

A sparkling Diamond Jubilee.

The Navy has commissioned INS Baaz, the easternmost Naval Air Station recently.

This year is an unprecedented year for the Indian Navy’s Air Arm.

First, the MiG-29 K Squadron has been commissioned as INAS 303, the Black Panthers.

The aircraft carrier for this aircraft, the INS Vikramaditya is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year. If this happens, India will be one of the few nations in the world to have more than 50 years of continuous aircraft carrier operations.

Another MiG-29 K Squadron is expected to commission the next year.

The Boeing P-8 I , of which the Indian Navy is the first and so far only, non-US operator has commenced its induction into the Indian Navy since May 15, 2013.

The first aircraft reached INS Rajali and will be part of INAS 312 .INAS 312 will thus operate two different types of aircraft whose predecessors were adversaries in the Cold War.

The Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer will start its induction in the second half of this year. Pilots/Instructors are converting with the Indian Air Force at Bidar.

It is expected that INAS 551 ‘Phantoms’ will move to INS Dega at Vizag and reform on this aircraft. Facilities for the Hawk at Dega have already been completed. Naval pilots are thrilled with the aircraft’s handling and capabilities and the aircraft is coming at a right time to help pilots transition to the MiGs ,existing Sea Harriers and later the Tejas. 2. Nuclear doctrine ( INDIA )

The Indian military possesses nuclear weapons and sufficient means — by means of missiles and aircraft — to deliver anything over long distances. However, India has a nuclear no-first-use and no use against non-nuclear weapons state policy. It also maintains a non-nuclear doctrine based on credible minimum deterrence. The Pakistan military possesses nuclear weapons and sufficient means, through a range of missiles and aircraft — to deliver these over considerably long distances. However, unlike India, Pakistan does not have no-first-use policy and maintains the use of nuclear weapons as a deterrent to India to offset the large conventional advantage India enjoys over Pakistan.

Both India And Pakistan Has many transport vehicles for the movement of man and machines.

The Indian Air Force is the fourth largest air force in the world. In its history, it has generally relied on Soviet, British, Israeli and French technology to support its growth. However, in recent times, India has begun building its own original aircraft, including the HAL Tejas, which is a 4.5th generation fighter. Also, India and Russia are currently building a 5th generation stealth aircraft jointly. India has also developed an UAV called Nishant and an advanced light helicopter called the HAL Dhruv. Recently, it completed a test of a long range BVR air to air missile named Astra and also conducted a successful test of its anti-ballistic missile defense system and hence became the 4th country after the US, Russia, and Israel to do so.

WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION INDIA

Ballistic Missiles

a. Prithvi I – Army Version (150 km range with a payload of 1,000kg)

Prithvi II – Air Force Version (250 km range with a payload of 500kg)

b. Dhanush is a System consisting of stabilization platform and missiles and can fire either the 250Km or the 350Km range missiles.

Then the following year in December the missile’s 350Km version was tested from the INS Rajput and hit the land based target

c.The Agni Missile system comprises of Agni I, Agni II and the Agni III 1500 Agni I uses the SLV-3 booster (from India’s Space Program) for its first stage and a liquid-fueled Prithvi for its second stage.

d.On the other hand India’s Agni II missiles have a range of the 1500 to 2500 kilometers. Unlike the Agni I, the Agni II has a solid-fueled second stage. India has also tested the Agni III IRBM with a range between 3000 and 5500km kilometres which has two stages. With a normal payload of 1000kg it can travel 5000km

e.The Surya-1 and -2 will be classified as strategic weapons, extending the Indian nuclear deterrent force to targets around the world. India currently is limited by the range of the Agni-3 missile.

The Surya-1 will have an expected range of 6000 – 10,000 km. It reportedly has a length of 40 m and a launch weight of 80,000 kg (some reports indicate as much as 275,000 kg. As the missile has yet to be developed, the payload and warhead are as yet unknown. It is believed to be a three-stage design, with the first two stages using solid propellants and the third-stage using liquid. The first test flight is expected in 2009, but there may be delays. The Surya- is a longer-ranged variant of the Surya-1. It has a reported range of over 20,000 km.

f.The Shaurya missile is a short-range surface-to-surface ballistic missile developed by DRDO of India for use by the Indian Army.It has a range of 600 km and is capable of carrying a payload of one-tonne conventional or nuclear warhead.The Shaurya missile provides India with a significant second strike capability.

g.Sagarika is a nuclear capable submarine-launched ballistic missile with a range of 750 km. This missile has a length of 8.5 meters, weighs seven tonnes and can carry a pay load of up to 500 kg

CRUISE MISSILES INDIA

a.Nirbhay is a long range, subsonic cruise missile being developed in India. The missile will have a range of 1000 km and will arm three services, the Indian Army, Indian Navy and the Indian Air Force.

b.India has acquired around 200 3M-54 Klub for arming Talwar class frigate, Shivalik class frigate, Kolkata class destroyer and Sindhughosh class submarine The Russian 3M-54 Klub is a multi-role missile system developed by the Novator Design Bureau(OKB-8) with a range of 250Km-300Km and a average speed of .8 Mach with a maximum of 2.9 Mach

c.Popeye II, an air launched cruise missile capable of carrying nuclear warheads with a range of 80 Km can be launched from planes was given to India along with missile defence radars in a deal.

The exact number transferred to India is unknown, but possibly 20 missile to perhaps 50 missiles could have been given with possibly more being built in India.

d.India has Soviet P-70 Ametist submarine-launched cruise missiles.

The missiles can carry nuclear warheads and have a range of 50-65Km.

e.The P-270 Moskit is a Russian supersonic ramjet powered cruise missile capable of being launched from land and ships. India has most probably bought both land and ship variants which have a range of 120km.

f.Akash is India’s medium range surface-to-air missile defense system The missile can target aircraft up to 30 km away, at altitudes up to 18,000 m.Akash is said to be capable of both conventional and nuclear warheads, with a reported payload of 60kg. Akash can be fired from both tracked and wheeled platforms.

Nuclear Submarines

According to some accounts India plans to have as many as 20 nuclear submarines capable of carrying missiles with nuclear warheads.

The Advanced Technology Vessel (ATV) is a Nuclear Powered Ballistic Missile Submarine being constructed for the Indian Navy at Visakhapatnam, India The ATV is an SSBN and will be armed with the ballistic missiles. Once it is completed, it can be equipped with 6-8 nuclear capable Dhanush,Sagarika or Agni SLBM ballistic missiles and upto 12 BrahMos cruise missiles. It is also to be fitted with an advanced sonar system. The second and third submarines of the class may incorporate the Nirbhayas well. As of July 2007, the Sagarika missile as well as Dhanush had undergone three successful tests each. The ATV is to be unveiled on January 26, 2009 but trials will start later that year while induction is planned for 2010.

The INS Sindhuraj, INS Sindhuvir, INS Sindhuratna, INS Sindhushastra, INS Sindhukesari and INS Sindhuvijay are capable of launching 3M-54 Klub and BrahMos nuclear-capable cruise missiles. India bought 10 Kilo class (in India known as Sindhughosh Class) submarine of which 6 have been refitted by the Russian Navy so that the they can launch cruise missiles such as nuclear capable BrahMos and 3M-54 Klub’s 3M-14E variant. The Submarine version of the BrahMos has been tested from static, underwater test stands in Russia and from the INS Sindhuvijay. As the Sinduvijay is similar to the other refitted submarines the test is considered a success.

A Look at Indian Army's Main Battle Tanks

New Delhi: A battle tank is a tank that fills the heavy direct fire role of many modern armies. They were originally conceived to replace the light, medium, heavy and super-heavy tanks.
Development was spurred onwards in the Cold War with the development of lightweight composite armor. Indian Army comprises of some of the best battle tanks, lets know bit about them.

Here is the list:

1. Arjun MBT Mk-1

The Arjun is a third generation main battle tank developed by Indias Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO), for the Indian Army.

The Arjun features a 120 mm main rifled gun with indigenously developed APFSDS ammunition, one 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun, and a 12.7 mm machine gun.

It is powered by a single MTU multi-fuel diesel engine rated at 1,400 hp, and can achieve a maximum speed of 70 km/h (43 mph) and a cross-country speed of 40 km/h (25 mph).

It has a four-man crew: commander, gunner, loader and driver. Automatic fire detection and suppression, and NBC protection systems are included.

All-round anti-tank warhead protection by the newly developed Kanchan armour is claimed to be much higher than available in comparable third generation tanks.

With a total of 248 to be built by Heavy Vehicles Factory. This to be followed by the Arjun MK-II and the FMBT.

2. T-90S Bhishma

The T-90 is a Russian third-generation main battle tank that is a modernisation of the T-72 (it was originally to be called the T-72BU, later renamed to T-90).

It is currently the most modern tank in service with the Russian Ground Forces and Naval Infantry. T-90 uses a 125mm 2A46 smoothbore tank gun, 1G46 gunner sights, a new engine, and thermal sights.

Standard protective measures include a blend of steel, composite armour, and Kontakt-5 explosive-reactive armor, laser warning receivers, Nakidka camouflage and the Shtora infrared ATGM jamming system.

The EMT-7 electromagnetic pulse (EMP) creator is used in testing but not fitted to T-90s in active service. It is designed and built by Uralvagonzavod, in Nizhny Tagil, Russia.

A contract, worth $800 million, was signed on October 26, 2006, for another 330 T-90M MBTs that were to be built with locally-sourced raw materials.

A third contract, worth $1.23 billion, was signed in December 2007 for 347 upgraded T-90Ms, the bulk of which will be licence-assembled built by Heavy Vehicles Factory.

The Indian Army would begin receiving its first T-90M main battle tank (MBT) in completely knocked-down condition from Russias Nizhny Tagil-based Uralvagonzavod JSC by the end of 2009.

In all, India plans to have 310 T-90S and 1,330 T-90M tanks in service by 2020 (total of 1,657 tanks by 2020).

Manufactured locally in India. Rs 10,000-crore purchase of 354 new T-90MS tanks for six tank regiments for the China border has been approved. This takes total no. of T-90 tanks to 2011.

3. T-72 Ajeya

The T-72 is a Soviet-designed main battle tank that entered production in 1971. It replaced the T-54/55 series as the workhorse of Soviet tank forces (while the T-64 and T-80 served as the Soviet high-technology tanks).

In front-line Russian service T-72 are being replaced by T-90, a modernized version of the T-72. While in the Ukraine T-72s are being replaced by the T-80 and T-84 MBTs. It has been exported and produced in many countries.

4. T-55

The T-54 and T-55 tanks were a series of main battle tanks designed in the Soviet Union. The first T-54 prototype appeared in March 1945, just as the Second World War ended.

The T-54/55 series eventually became the most-produced tank in history. Estimated production numbers for the series range from 86,000 to 100,000.

They were replaced by the T-62, T-64, T-72, T-80, and T-90 in the Soviet and Russian Armies, but remain in use by up to 50 other armies worldwide, some having received sophisticated retrofitting.

Up to 200 additional T-55s are kept in storage. T-55s were to be phased out in favour of T-90.Some T-55s may be converted into Tarmour AFV by Heavy Vehicles Factorys.
The T-55 has been out of frontline service for many years now, some remain in use with the Indian Army Engineer corps though- for mine clearance purposes:

Step by Step Procedure to Upload and Share Torrents:

Open your torrent client ,say for example utorrent
Click on File-->Create new Torrent (or CTRL + N)

Select the files(to upload one single file) and or directories (To upload a folder)

Trackers: This is probably the hard part for most people. But it’s pretty easy, just put in one of the popular public trackers. You can use one or more trackers, but in general one is enough.

1.Now you can share this torrent file with your friends.If you are sharing this file only to a small number of people then you can directly send them the .torrent file and they can start downloading the file.

2.Or if you want to share this publicly to a large number of people then it is recommended to upload this .torrent file on some website.

3.Here for demonstration purpose I am choosing kickass.to but there are hundreds of torrent sites.

4.Go to kickass.to and register a free account over there.
5.Then you must verify your email address in order to upload files on this site.
6.Just go to upload selection in the website and choose your category.
7.Then you can upload the .torrent file which you have saved previously.
If you are using some other torrent client like Bitcomet or Bittorrent then the steps are almost similar.

What are Torrent Peers and Seeds??

Torrent is a word derived from word Bit Torrent which is a peer-to-peer files sharing protocol which is also used as file extension. It’s distributing files over the Internet. This protocol is designed by Programmer Bram Cohen in April 2001 and released the July 2 2001.

Peer-A peer is refer to a particular node (A computer like you) which is currently sharing (either uploading or downloading) the data using torrent client. It’s specific for each torrent. 

Seed-Seeds are referring to those peers which have 100% of file. So if you have zero (0) seeds than its waste of time to download that torrent.

How To Increase Torrent Download Speed?

Here are some tips which help you to increase your torrent speed. Some of them are tradition tricks and some are new but these are tricks which surely help you to increase your torrent speed.

1. Choosing Best torrent Client .i.e. Bit Torrent:

Choosing the best torrent client is the first point you should care about if you are thinking to get maximum torrent downloading speed. As per requirement increases there are many torrent clients available in market. So chose only trusted and best bit torrent client from the official site of bit torrent.

2. Always chose torrent with good trackers, seeds and peers:

Second point is choosing the right torrent. If you are using a week torrent with less tracker, seeds and peers than it’s hard to get a good downloading speed. Never download a torrent which has zero (0) seeds. Always download a torrent which have at least one seeds (its minimum) and with maximum peers. Next are trackers, which are also important. Check the properties of your torrent you can find list of trackers.

If you are unable to find the torrent with good seeds and peers than you can increase your seeds and peers of your week torrent by re announcing it refer my post on how to re announce a torrent file/How to Increase seeds and peers of torrent.

If your torrent has less or week trackers, than you can increase your trackers also.

3. Change the settings of your torrent client:

You can change some setting in your torrent client software (no matter what client it is) which will help you to increase the torrent downloading speed. Changing few simple setting like bandwidth, port is helpful in increase the torrent downloading speed. To know about these setting in detail please refer the post Increase torrent speed.

4. Download torrent with help of Downloading managers (IDM, DAP, Orbit etc)

Torrent client use the torrent protocol which is peer-to-peer files sharing protocol to download file. Even the P2P protocol is best among all for downloading file but some time downloading file using other protocol can help in gaining more downloading speed. You can use your downloading managers to download your torrent files.

5. Increase the number of Max Half Open TCP connections:

The Max Half Open TCP connections specify that how many connections a torrent client should attempt to establish simultaneously at any given time. Operating Systems like Windows XP-SP2and newer, limits this to a default of 10.As torrents need a large number of simultaneous connections you can increase your torrent downloading speed by changing this figure.

A patch has been available for a while from LvlLord which modifies the TCPIP.sys file in Windows to allow a higher number of TCP connections.

After running the patch, you have to change your torrent client settings also. In uTorrent  go to 

Options ->Preferences ->Advanced – >net.max_halfopen.

Set any number from 50 to 100.Dont use more than that. Also keep checking TCPIP.sys for cross verifying the number of Max Half Open TCP connections.

How much we can Increase torrent Speed Actually??

Yeah it’s very important to understand that up to how much speed you can increase for downloading torrent. Many of you are may be getting a good downloading speed from torrent (which is equal to your bandwidth limit) still landed to this page because you want more speed. Than sorry you can’t get more downloading speed for torrent than your bandwidth.

Create A Undeletable And Unrenamable Folders In Windows

In this tutorial you will learn cool and simple trick to Create an undeletable and unrenamable Folders In Windows operating system. Most of the Peoples are not aware that it is possible to create Undeletable, Unrenamable folder in windows without any software. To Test this concept just follow simple steps given below.

Try to make a new folder in windows & give it name con,aux, lpt1, lpt2, lpt3 up to lpt9. you won't be allowed to create folder with above mentioned names, Because they are reserved words in windows.

How To Create Undeletable And Unrenamable Folders ?

1.Go to Start and then Click on Run
2.Type cmd & hit enter (To open Command Prompt ).
3.Remember you cannot create Undeletable & unrenameable folder in your root directory (i.e. where the windows is installed) That means you can't make this kind of folder in C: drive if you installed windows on C:
4.Type D: or E: and hit enter
5.Type md con\ and hit enter (md - make directory)
6.You may use other words such as aux, lpt1, lpt2, lpt3 up to lpt9 instead of con in above step.
7.Open that directory, you will see the folder created of name con.
8.Try to delete that folder or rename that folder windows will show the error message.

How to delete that folder ?

It is not possible to delete that folder manually but you can delete this folder by another way mentioned below.

1.Open Command Prompt

2.Type D: ( if u created this type of folder in D: drive) & hit enter

3.Type rd con\ (rd - remove directory)
4.Open that directory and the folder will not appear because it is removed.

   2. Save the notepad file as lock.bat (.bat is must)
   3. Now double click on lock.bat and a new folder will be created with name MyFolder
   4. Copy all your data you want to protect in that New folder
   5. Now double click on lock.bat and when command promp appears Type Y and press enter.
   6. Now MyFolder will be hidden from you view, to access that folde double click on lock.bat
   7. It will ask for password enter your password and done. (Default password is coolhacks)

To change the password replace coolhacks with new password in the above code

Making Nameless Folder In Windows

In this small tutorial i will show you a simple windows trick. Basically you can not make folder with no name on windows. This trick will allow you to make folder without any name. This trick works on any windows operating system.

How To Make Nameless Folder

Before attempting this trick, try to make a folder with no name and you will fail to do so. This is what this trick will let you do. Below is screenshot of folder before and after doing this interesting trick.

1.Make a Newfolder on desktop or where ever you want.

2.Right click on this newly created folder and select Rename.

3.Erase the text showing "New Folder".

4.Now keep Pressing Alt (i.e alter key) and type 255. If you are on

5.laptop then you need to enable your Num Lock and type from the highlighted number keys not from those below function keys.

6.After that leave alt key and Press enter.
Done you just created nameless folder.

What Is Ophcrack ?

How To Crack Windows 7 Password Using Ophcrack ?

Before you start doing this you will need a blank CD or DVD to burn the live image of ophcrack.

1. Download Opcrack Live Cd by Clicking Here. Download windows xp or windows 7 live cd depending on platform you are wishing to hack. For example:

Windows 7 or Windows Vista: Click on ophcrack Vista/7 LiveCD.
Windows XP: Click on ophcrack XP LiveCD.

2. Now burn the live image on to the cd.

3. Insert the disc into drive and restart you computer.

4. If everything goes right you will see screen like below.

5. After you see screen like above wait for ophcrack to boot automatically or you may press Enter to advance.

6. Now you will see several lines of code printed on screen or they might disappear very quickly (you dont need to worry about that).

7. Then you will see screen like below it is ophcrack password recovering software. At the Ophcrack screen it shows the Administrator and Guest account. Notice the word“empty”. This means that if the account is enabled you could log in without a password.

8. Ophcrack WILL NOT CRACK THE PASSWORD because the hash table which it needs is not available for free. But it does show the NTLM hash.

9. Copy this hash value which is under NT Hash field.

10. Navigate to http://crackstation.net/ which is an online hash cracking tool.

11. Type in the hash value you copied down in step 9, Enter the captche and click onCrack Hashes.
