Tutorial Install Windows 8 Melalui Virtualbox

Kali ini saya akan sharing dikit skaligus nyelesaikan tugas yg di berikan panitia UKM Cybertech Politeknik Padang. Bagi yg blum mempunyai virtualbox bisa download disini
Baik langsung saja.

1. Klik New untuk membuat sebuah project baru.

2. Tulis Nama dan ubah Version sesuai windows yg akan d gunakan

3. Atur ukuran Memory yg kamu inginkan (semakin tinggi semakin cepat proses penginstallan recomended 1024MB )

4. Create Hard Drive, Next aja.

5. Hard Drive file type disini kita d suruh memilih tipe file apa buat Hard Drive kita, Next aja.

6. Storage on Physical Hard Drive, pilih fixed size dikarenakan fixed size di sini kita bisa mengatur brapa size yg kita butuhkan buat storage nya.

7. Setting lah berapa storage yg kalian butuh kan ( recomended 25.00 GB )

8. Tunggu sampai 100 %

9. Setelah 100% maka akan tampil seperti d bawah, langkah slanjutnya ialah atur setting

10. Browse windows 8 yg mau kita install.

11. Start penginstallan lewat virtualbox

12. Install windows 8

13. Isikan Product key

14. Accept the license item, Next

15. Pilih Custom, agar dapet menyeting berapa ukuran size nya.

16. Atur sesuai yg di inginkan.

17. Tunggu penginstallan hingga selesai.

18. selesai, semoga bermanfaat.

Cara Install Linux Mint 13 KDE

Linux Mint adalah distro Linux paling populer menurut situs distrowatch.com. Linux Mint dikenal dengan kemudahannya, jadi cocok buat pemula yang baru migrasi ke Linux. Sebenarnya inti dari Linux Mint adalah Ubuntu, sehingga aplikasi yang dapat berjalan di Ubuntu juga dapat berjalan di Linux Mint. Walaupun begitu Linux Mint hadir dengan tampilan yang berbeda dengan Ubuntu.

Untuk memasang Linux Mint ataupun distro linux lainnya, kita harus membuat Installer linux baik melalui Flashdisk dan DVD. Klik disini untuk melihat cara membuat installer linux melalui Flashdisk.

Cara Install Linux Mint 13 KDE :

1. Booting komputer melalui USB atau DVD ROM drive.

2. Berikut tampilan splash screen Linux Mint 13 KDE.

Hampir semua distro linux dapat langsung digunakan melalui media lain seperti lewat flashdisk atau DVD optic. Ini lebih dikenal dengan istilah Linux Live USB atau Linux Live CD/DVD.

3. Klik Install Linux Mint.

4. Memilih pilihan bahasa.

5. Preparing to install LinuxMint. Terlihat pada gambar dibawah bahwa untuk instalasi LinuxMint kita harus memiliki ruang kosong di harddisk minimal sebasar 5,8 GB dan jika menggunakan laptop harus memiliki baterai yang cukup. Memiliki koneksi internet hanya tambahan saja.

6. Disk Setup

7. Guided-use entry disk : artinya jika kita ingin menggunakan sistem operasi linux mint saja pada komputer dan ini akan menghapus semua file (termasuk sistem operasi sebelumnya) yang ada di harddisk.

Manual : pilihan ini kita dapat membuat membuat dan menentukan ukuran partisi baru dari freespace atau ruang kosong yang belum di buat partisi. Cara manual ini juga digunakan untuk menginstall 2 sistem operasi atau lebih sekaligus pada komputer. Klik disini untuk melihat cara membuat freespace pada harddisk. Jika sobat ingin dualboot dengan sistem operasi lain (misalnya Windows) maka pilih secara Manual.

8. Pilih pada free space dan klik add

Disini kita akan membuat partisi swap. Banyak yang berpendapat bahwa ukuran partisi swap idealnya adalah 2 x ukuran RAM. Tetapi saya malah menentukan 1/2 x ukuran RAM. Lihat pada gambar.

9. Selanjutnya adalah membuat partisi file system Linux.

Pada use as pilih Ext4 Journaling file system. Pilih mount point ( / ). Lalu klik OK.

10. Selelah semua siap, klik Install Now.

Selama proses install, kita disuruh memilih zona waktu. Tentukan zona waktu berdasarkan tempat tinggal sobat.

Memilih jenis tampilan Keyboard. Umumnya keyboard komputer memiliki layout : English (US) dan variant : English (US).

User Info

Kelebihan linux :

Masukkan data-data sobat seperti pada gambar di atas. Untuk Username dan Password wajib dihapalkan. Lalu klik Continue.

Tunggu sampai proses instalasi selesai. Reboot atau Restart komputer anda dan selesai.

Cara Mudah Membuat Dual Boot Linux-Windows

Linux dapat di install berdampingan dengan Windows, tetapi dengan syarat menggunakan partisi yang berbeda. Untuk itu kali ini saya akan membahas mengenai cara membagi partisi Windows untuk di install Linux. Istilahnya Dual Boot, jadi 1 komputer di pasang 2 sistem operasi yang berbeda.

1. Menyipkan Partisi Kosong (freespace)

Resize partisi windows :
1. Buka Control Panel

2. Pilih System and Security lalu klik Create and format hard disk partitions.

atau pada tombol start>klik kanan computer>manage>disk management

3. Klik kanan pada gambar partisi yang hendak diubah ukurannya, lalu pada menu yang muncul pilih Shrink Volume.

disini saya memilih drive DATA (D) yang akan di kecilkan partisinya.

4. Pada kotak dialog yang muncul, di bagian "Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB", masukkan angka yang Anda inginkan untuk partisi baru (dalam MB).

Dalam contoh ini saya ingin partisi baru untuk instalasi linux sebesar 30GB maka sama memasukkan angka 30000 di bagian "Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB". Bila sudah klik tombol Shrink.

Penjelasannya :

Enter the amount of space to shrink in MB artinya disini sobat memasukkan jumlah space yang akan dipotong, pada gambar di atas saya memotong partisi DATA sebesar 30GB. Jumlah space yang dimasukkan tidak boleh melebihi pada tulisan Size of avaliable shink space in MB.

5. Setelah partisi dibuat maka akan muncul partisi baru seperti ini :

Sekarang partisi kosong sudah siap. Anda bisa melakukan instalasi Linux dan ditujukan pada partisi kosong tadi.

2. Membuat Installer linux

Salah satu kelebihan linux adalah linux dapat dijalankan secara Live. Maksudnya kita dapat menjalankan/booting linux melalui media lain seperti Flashdisk, CD/DVD dan bahkan melalui memory card sebelum melakukan installasi.

Dari gambar diatas terlihat bahwa installer linux mint lebih baik dibandingkan dengan windows xp. Linux dapat langsung digunakan (baca: secara live) sebelum melakukan tahap installasi.

3. Tahap Installasi Distro Linux

Ini adalah tahapan proses install linux. Anda dapat memilih distro linux yang mudah untuk digunakan seperti Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Fedora, OpenSuse, atau yang lainnya. Distro tersebut memiliki tampilan grafis yang mudah dan siap untuk dipakai.

Saran dari saya, terutama untuk pemula yang baru bermigrasi ke linux, jangan terlalu memaksa menggunakan distro yang "rumit" seperti Backtrack, Slackware, Arch Linux. Mengapa? karena distro tersebut lebih sulit.
